Ayesha Curry Shocks Fans: ‘Steph Comes Before Our 4 Kids’—Marriage Bombshell Sparks Debate!
Ayesha Curry revealed the secret to her 14-year marriage with husband Stephen Curry is putting their relationship before their four kids.
“I think for us, our relationship always comes first. Then we’re parents,” the actress told People in an interview published Thursday.
“And that works for us because then you have two happy people raising the kids in the house. So the family sector in our lives always comes first.”

Ayesha, 35, also shared that it’s also important for her and the 36-year-old NBA superstar to surround themselves with people who are “smarter” than themselves and “know what they’re doing.”
“They allow us the space to be creative and they allow us the space to truly show up however we choose to,” she explained. “And I think that’s what’s really worked for us.
“We’re not control freaks. We have ideas, but we’re willing to let people help us see those ideas into fruition.”

Ayesha and Steph share Riley, 12, Ryan, 9, Canon, 6, and 7-month-old, Caius Chai.
The couple met as teenagers and married in 2011 before welcoming their eldest child in July 2012.
In 2021, the Golden State Warriors star surprised the celebrity chef with a vow renewal ceremony after 10 years of marriage.

“He even picked out my dress for me and had it waiting 😭,” Ayesha shared via Instagram at the time.
The businesswoman explained their three oldest children were involved in the ceremony. Riley officiated the ceremony while Ryan and Canon walked her down the aisle.
“It’s everything I’ve always dreamed of but didn’t know could be possible in this way. A moment I will never forget,” she gushed.

Most recently, Ayesha called Stephen her “forever valentine” and posted a throwback photo of themselves on social media.
“One of my favorite photos of us. Everytime I look at you I still feel like I’m the 19 year old girl in this picture with butterflies in my stomach and not enough words to express how I feel,” she wrote.
She also shared several family photos with the athlete and their kids.
