Rihanna the Rockstar! Pop princess surprises Bon Jovi fans as she joins band onstage
Like her single from Rated R suggests, Rihanna is a ROCKSTAR.
Gearing up for tonight’s MTV Europe Music Awards, the 22-year-old redhead surprised Bon Jovi fans by joining the band in the middle of a performance of their classic hit Livin’ On A Prayer.
Wearing a see-through red dress, the pop princess got the crowd going and a smiling Jon Bon Jovi, the band’s lead singer, couldn’t get enough of the collaboration at a Pre-EMA party last night in Madrid, Spain.
Rockin out! Rihanna gets wild even flicking out her tongue during a performance with Bon Jovi
The Rude Boy songstress nearly stole the show with her suggestive and energetic performance, even throwing out a salute to guitarist Richie Sambora during his solo.
Afterwards, Rihanna was so excited she tweeted: ‘Wait!…did I just rock out with Bon Jovi tonight?’
The MTV Europe Music Awards will be hosted by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, and will include what are expected to be caliente performances by Shakira, Miley Cyrus, Kings Of Leon, Ke$ha, and Linkin Park.
But one of the most hotly-anticipated sets will come from Rihanna, whose fans have been eagerly awaiting the new album, due for release on November 16.
Talking about the record, which is Rihanna’s fifth studio album, she said: ‘Overall, I would say that the album is the most true Rihanna album, in terms of the sound and the energy and the look and the vibe of it, and the lyrics and the West Indian twang.’
Exactly what she wanted: Rihanna has dreamed of becoming a rock star, and even included the song ROCKSTAR 101 featuring Slash on her last album
She added: ‘Everything about it is tailored to me, and nobody else could have done any of those songs, which is why I love it because you hear it and you get it.’
And while Rihanna’s professional life is going from strength to strength, her personal life is also following suit.
The Barbadian singer, who started dating Los Angeles Dodgers Player Matt Kemp in January, said in a recent interview that being with the sportsman has caused her to start ‘smiling’ again.

She told Marie Claire magazine: ‘I feel like I smile for real this time. The smiles come from inside, and it exudes in everything I do. People feel my energy is different. When I smile they can tell that it’s pure bliss and not just a cover up.
‘The most important thing is to be happy and true to yourself. I don’t want to look back at this 30 years from now and say, “I did it all to make them happy and I didn’t enjoy it”.I want to be able to say people loved me because of who I am.’
