Two individuals have been arrested and arraigned in New York City for stealing more than 900 concert tickets, many of which were for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and making more than $600,000 in the process.

Prosecutors from the District Attorney’s Office in Queens County said that two individuals, Tyrone Rose and Shamara P. Simmons, were arrested last Thursday and charged with grand larceny, computer tampering, conspiracy and tampering. They allegedly made off with approximately 993 tickets to the Eras Tour and Ed Sheeran and Adele concerts in a scheme that gave them access to already purchased tickets.

According to the Office, Rose and another accomplice worked for Sunderland, a third-party contractor for StubHub in Kingston, Jamaica, using their access to StubHub’s system to intercept tickets. The Office claims that they stole URLs for already sold tickets and redirected the URLs to Simmons and a now-deceased accomplice. They then posted the tickets on StubHub and resold them for profit from June 2022 to July 2023.

In a statement, District Attorney Melinda Katz said, “According to the charges, these defendants tried to use the popularity of Taylor Swift’s concert tour and other high-profile events to profit at the expense of others. They allegedly exploited a loophole through an offshore ticket vendor to steal tickets to the biggest concert tour of the last decade and then resold those seats for an extraordinary profit of more than $600,000.”

Mark Streams, chief legal officer at StubHub, shared in a statement to Variety, “At StubHub, ensuring a safe and secure platform for our fans is our highest priority. Upon discovering this criminal scheme, we immediately reported it to the third-party customer service vendor, Sutherland Global Services (SGS), as well as to the Queens District Attorney’s Office and Jamaican law enforcement. The individuals involved, employees of SGS, exploited a system vulnerability to fraudulently resell tickets. They were swiftly identified and terminated. StubHub has since replaced or refunded all identified orders impacted and strengthened security measures to further protect our fans and sellers. We appreciate the efforts of District Attorney Melinda Katz and law enforcement in bringing these individuals to justice.”

The Eras Tour, of course, was the biggest pop tour in history, wrapping its worldwide run in Dec. 2024 with over $2 billion earned in sales. The average initial-point-of-sale price for a ticket to the tour was $204, while the average price on the secondary market was $1,652 per ticket.

Roy Ayers, the legendary jazz vibraphonist known for his hit “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” and sampled by countless artists, died at the age of 84.

In a statement shared with Variety, the Ayers family said that he died yesterday after suffering from a long illness. “It is with great sadness that the family of legendary vibraphonist, composer, and producer Roy Ayers announce his passing which occurred on March 4, 2025 in New York City after a long illness,” they said, describing him as “highly influential and sought after as a music collaborator.”

Throughout his career, Ayers established himself as a pioneer of jazz-funk and was largely influential on the neo-soul movement. As a solo artist, he released dozens of albums over the years, dating as far back as 1963, and scored his biggest hit “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” with his group Roy Ayers Ubiquity. The musician’s songs have been sampled by everyone from Mary J. Blige and Common to Tyler, the Creator and Kanye West, and he collaborated with musicians including the Roots, Guru, Fela Kuti and Rick James.

Ayers was born in Los Angeles in 1940 and grew up in a musical household. He was inspired to take up the vibraphone after seeing Lionel Hampton’s Big Band at the age of five, and took piano lessons and sang in the church choir. At 17, he was gifted his first vibraphone and attended Los Angeles City College to study advanced music theory. He made his recording debut with saxophonist Curtis Amy in the early 1960s, and signed his first contract with United Artists to release his debut album “West Coast Vibes” in 1963.

He teamed with jazz flutist Herbie Mann to record three albums for Atlantic Records — “Virgo Vibes,” “Stoned Soul Picnic” and “Daddy Bug” — before partnering with Polydor, where he continued to release music. In 1973, he wrote and produced the soundtrack for the blaxploitation film “Coffy” starring Pam Grier. During this era, he formed Roy Ayers Ubiquity and scored his biggest hit with “Everybody Loves the Sunshine,” the title track from their 1976 album. To date, that song has more than 130 million Spotify streams, and has been covered by a range of artists including D’Angelo, Jamie Cullum and Robert Glasper.

In the decades that followed, he released records and formed two labels, Uno Melodic and Gold Mink Records. His last solo album “Mahogany Vibe,” came out in 2004, and featured guest appearances from Betty Wright, Kamilah and Erykah Badu. In 2015, he made a guest appearance on Tyler, the Creator’s track “Find Your Wings” and two years later performed at the rapper’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival. He teamed with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad for “Roy Ayers JID002,” a collaborative album released through Jazz Is Dead in 2020.

Part of his enduring legacy can be credited to the significant influence he had on hip-hop and R&B musicians. His solo songs and records he produced were sampled for decades, adding a warm, mellifluous tone to tracks including Mary J. Blige’s “My Life,” A Tribe Called Quest’s “Bonita Applebaum” and Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s “Get Money.”

Ayers is survived by his wife Argerie, and their children Mtume and Ayana Ayers.

Justine Musk Breaks Her Silence: Revealing Secrets About Her Life with Elon!

Có thể là hình ảnh về 2 người

Justine Musk, with whom the man behind Pay Pal, Tesla, and Space X has five children with, opened up about their failed marriage and revealed details of their relationship.

Namely, the couple first met during her first year at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. Following her graduation, Justine Musk taught in Japan for a year, but she and Musk never lost touch.

An essay Justine penned back in 2010 has resurfaced recently.

In it, she wrote how her relationship with the tech-billionaire became messy and turned into one in which she couldn’t recognize herself any longer.

Titled I Was a Starter Wife, the writing exposes the “red flags” Justine noticed on the night they tied the knot.

“As we danced at our wedding reception, Elon told me, ‘I am the alpha in this relationship,’” Justine wrote. “I shrugged it off, just as I would later shrug off signing the postnuptial agreement, but as time went on, I learned that he was serious. He had grown up in the male-dominated culture of South Africa, and the will to compete and dominate that made him so successful in business did not magically shut off when he came home.

Ezoic“This, and the vast economic imbalance between us, meant that in the months following our wedding, a certain dynamic began to take hold. Elon’s judgment overruled mine, and he was constantly remarking on the ways he found me lacking. ‘I am your wife,’ I told him repeatedly, ‘not your employee.’

“‘If you were my employee,’ he said just as often, ‘I would fire you.’”

Justine recalled that while they were seeing a marriage therapist, she was informed, not by her husband, but by the therapist, that Musk filed for divorce.

“The next day, I went into my therapist’s office and he had left a message for her to tell me that he was filing for divorce.

“That was how I found out,” she explained.

Besides this, Justin Musk has always praised her now ex-husband’s work ethics.

    Twitter/Justine Musk

Speaking at a TEDx talk in 2014, Justine shared some of the aspects of Musk that she observed during the time they were together.

Emphasizing the past tense, she said, “I was married, I was married to a man who became extremely successful. And as I watched him rise, I noticed two things. He worked very hard, much harder than your average bear. And he said no a lot.”

According to her, Musk’s ability to say “No” has been crucial to his success.

“He said no to people who wanted his time, attention and energy. He said no in a way that protected his resources so that he could channel them toward his own goals. And I realized that behind every no is a deeper ‘yes’ to whatever it is that you do want,” she said.

This perception shaped Justine’s view of boundaries, priorities, and self-worth. “Your deep yes is your right to dream,” she added.

In 2017, again during a TEDx talk, Justine once again spoke of her ex, saying he was bullied as a child.

“When he was a kid, he hated going to school because the other kids liked to follow him home and they would throw soda cans at his head,” she said. As a way to escape, he turned to video games and learned coding. This led to his first company that he sold in his mid 20s. “Nobody’s throwing soda cans at him now,” Justine added.

Anthony Edwards‘ ex Ayesha Howard revealed a photo of their daughter Aubri Summers Howard, after the NBA star told the court he had no interest in custody or visitation with the child, In Touch can exclusively report.

Over the weekend, Ayesha, 37, shared a snap of 4-month-old Aubri wearing a pink outfit on her social media. Aubri was born in October 2024 in Santa Monica, California.

As In Touch first reported, Anthony, 23, and Ayesha are in the middle of a nasty court battle over Aubri.

Anthony filed a paternity lawsuit in Georgia around the time Aubri was born seeking a DNA test. He asked the court to set child support, if he was determined to be the father.

A couple of days later, Ayesha filed her own paternity lawsuit in California. She claimed she had no ties to Georgia and had been living in California for over a year.

She argued that child support should be established in her new home, not Georgia.

Anthony fired back, accusing Ayesha of filing in California in hopes of scoring a higher child support award. He questioned her claims she actually moved to California and pointed out her older son, Jason, who she shares with rapper Lil Baby, still lived in Georgia.

In court, Anthony’s lawyer argued, “[Ayesha’s] conduct here is unjustifiable and a bad faith attempt to obtain a higher child support order. Ayesha’s conduct of manufacturing a false reality and using the parties’ child for financial gains should not be tolerated.”

Ayesha claimed that Jason lived with her family while she was away in California.

As part of her case, Ayesha submitted a series of alleged text messages from Anthony where he urged her to get an abortion after she told him she was pregnant.

Ayesha told the court, “Upon informing Anthony of the pregnancy, he blocked me on all communication platforms and made it clear, through text messages, that he did not want to be involved in the life of our child. His exact words were that our daughter would be a ‘fatherless child.’”

Ayesha added, “From that point on, Anthony never reached out to me to inquire about my well-being, the well-being of our child, or any of the needs I had during my pregnancy. I did not receive any support—emotional, financial or otherwise — throughout the entire duration of my pregnancy.”

In one alleged text submitted in court, Ayesha wrote, “I’m pregnant … wanted to tell you in person but you gave me no other choice. We probably should have kept it cordial but we’re here now.”

Anthony allegedly wrote back, “Ok lol. Get da abortion lol.”

As In Touch first reported, Anthony and Ayesha submitted DNA samples in December 2024 which determined Anthony was the father to Aubri.

    Alleged Text

After the DNA test results came back, Anthony filed a declaration in court making it clear he had no intention of having a relationship with Aubri.

He told the court, “[Ayesha] and I have one minor child together, Aubri Summer Howard. Paternity was recently established through DNA testing. I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri. Therefore, the only issues to be resolved are financial in nature.”

Last week, Ayesha seemingly addressed the situation on social media.

She wrote, “To the men who lacked and continue to lack male representation, influence and accountability: being a man doesn’t start and stop with an erection. Being a father is not optional after bypassing the preventative measures available to you beforehand. Don’t become what your fathers were to your mothers. Conceiving takes two. In that moment, both male and female have choices that determine the outcome of tomorrow.”

Ayesha added, “It’s everyone’s responsibility to make choices they can live with.”

She continued, “I’m happy with mine. My daughter is a God-given gift, not a mistake. The act was consensual, and my baby is not to blame. It’s my body, my choice, my mind. I’m not imposing what you should do with your body, so please respect my choice with mine.”

Both cases are ongoing, no final decision has been on where the case will be heard.

Swift is attending Super Bowl LVIII to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt and his wife, Tavia, discuss the Taylor Swift effect

Whether you like it or not, Taylor Swift is at the epicenter of Super Bowl LVIII conversation, with fans and media alike awaiting her arrival at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, as if she’s a player.

Poised to make her 13th appearance this season at an NFL game Sunday night, Swift has garnered immense backlash for publicly supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, throughout the year.

But popstar Adele, who is currently performing her residency in Las Vegas, has absolutely zero tolerance for those ridiculing Swift for inundating football culture.

On the eve of the Super Bowl, Adele spoke about who she was rooting for, while also defending Swift. In a video posted to X, the pop star contemplated who she would be rooting for in the big game.

“I’m a bit torn because I kind of want the [San Francisco] 49ers to win, but I’m also a Chiefs fan. I think I want the Chiefs to win just because… Taylor Swift’s boyfriend,” she said to an animated crowd. “And all of you that are complaining about Taylor Swift being at games, get a f—ing life, it’s her f—ing boyfriend.”

Adele laughs in a sparkly black dress while she sits next to her pianist during her Weekends with Adele show in Las Vegas

“It’s like she made it a bit more enjoyable to watch, cause like I said, I have no idea what’s going on,” Adele admitted.

Earlier this weekend, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt offered similar sentiments to Fox News Digital, saying it’s been “so exciting and completely unexpected” for Chiefs Kingdom to gain a fan in Swift.

“As a result, we do have a whole bunch of new fans, and that’s been fantastic. Not only here in North America, but really across the globe,” Hunt stated.

“I’m so excited to have Taylor bring in all the Swifties, so many women and young girls, because it’s our favorite sport, but they didn’t know it was their favorite sport, and we’re certain it will be going forward,” Tavia Hunt added.

Since September, when Swift appeared at Arrowhead Stadium to watch Kelce play, their relationship has been tabloid fodder. Swift has frequently been shown during television broadcasts and on stadium screens while appearing at the games, something she has made clear that she cannot control.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she told Time in December of photographers. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

Swift added, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p—ing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”

A week after confirming he would return for a 13th NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on Wednesday explained his decision to come back.

Speaking with brother Jason Kelce on their “New Heights” podcast, the 10-time Pro Bowler Kelce said he believes he can contribute even more to the Chiefs than he did last season.

“I still feel like I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year,” Kelce said. “I don’t think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them.”

Though Kansas City reached the Super Bowl for the third straight year in 2025, Kelce didn’t reach his typically high standard. He finished the regular season with the fewest receiving yards (823), touchdowns (3) and yards per reception (8.5) of his career, excluding his rookie year, when he played in only one game.

In the postseason, Kelce caught only one touchdown, his lowest total since 2018.

“Especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past. I want to give it a good run,” Kelce said about one of his motivations to return. “I have a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me.”

Kelce also said the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 was “probably the biggest factor” in his decision to return, calling the defeat an “all-time low.”

In that game, Kelce had only four catches for 39 yards, his lowest total in his five Super Bowl appearances.

Kelce has been a major component of Kansas City’s success over the last six seasons, which has resulted in five Super Bowl appearances and three championships.

Kelce holds the NFL record for playoff receptions and 100-yard games, and the Super Bowl record for receptions.

From 2016-2022, Kelce had seven straight 1,000-yard seasons, which is the longest streak of 1,000-yard seasons for a tight end in NFL history. He also has the most 1,000-yard seasons for a tight end.

Due to his individual success, the Chiefs’ team success and his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, Kelce has also achieved celebrity off the football field. Last year, he hosted a game show on Amazon Prime and had a guest-starring role in an FX drama.

Kelce is signed with Kansas City for one more season, though he declined to say on “New Heights” whether the upcoming year will be his last in the NFL.

“I feel like there’s a responsibility in me to play out the contract that I initially signed, to give Kansas City and the Chiefs organization everything that I got, and that’s what I’m gonna do, man,” Kelce said.

He later added: “I can’t say whether or not this is going to be the last year because I still love a lot of what I do for the city of Kansas City and the Chiefs organization.”

Two people were arrested and charged in a scheme to steal and resell online tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, making over $600,000 in the process, the Queens, New York, prosecutor’s office said.

Tyrone Rose, 20, of Kingston, Jamaica, and Shamara Simmons, 31, of the Jamaica section of Queens, New York, were arrested on charges of grand larceny, conspiracy and computer tampering last week, the Queens District Attorney’s Office said Monday.

The tickets were stolen from StubHub by two people working for a third-party contractor in Kingston, the district attorney’s office said in a statement.

The URLs for the tickets were then sent to Queens, where Simmons and another person who has since died downloaded them and re-sold them on StubHub, the office said.

Around 350 StubHub orders, resulting in the theft of around 993 tickets, were hijacked in the cybercrime scheme, prosecutors said.

Most were for Taylor Swift’s massively popular Eras Tour, the office said.

Rose was one of the two people accused of working in Jamaica and stealing the tickets by redirecting URLs that were supposed to be sent to people who legitimately bought them, the district attorney’s office said.

Simmons and the now-deceased person are accused of working on the Queens side of the scheme, which occurred from June 2022 to July 2023.

While the Eras Tour accounted for most of the tickets that were stolen, other stolen tickets included entry to performances by Adele and Ed Sheeran, as well as NBA games and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, the district attorney’s office said.

The stolen tickets were worth around $635,000, prosecutors said.

StubHub notified Queens prosecutors, the third-party vendor where the two Jamaican members of the scheme worked and Jamaican law enforcement officials as soon as it identified the thefts, said Mark Streams, StubHub’s chief legal officer.

“StubHub has since replaced or refunded all identified orders impacted and strengthened security measures to further protect our fans and sellers,” Streams said.

StubHub said it has terminated its relationship with the third-party vendor.

Rose and Simmons were arrested and arraigned in court in New York on Thursday. They are each charged with second-degree grand larceny, first-degree computer tampering, fourth-degree conspiracy and fourth-degree computer tampering, the district attorney’s office said.

Attorneys listed in court records as representing Rose and Simmons either could not be reached Tuesday evening or did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Swift’s Eras Tour grossed $2 billion worldwide over 21 months, Taylor Swift Touring confirmed to The New York Times and Variety in December.

Travis Kelce has a ‘bad taste in my mouth’ after analyzing Chiefs’ Super Bowl film: ‘Let my guys down’

Travis Kelce said overanalyzing the film brings out the ‘beast’ in him, which may come in 2025 season

Travis Kelce made his intentions known that he’s coming back for the 2025 NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

It appears a part of that equation is unfinished business after a crushing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX — a game he’s still racking his brain about.

The latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast saw the future Hall of Fame tight end admit to hating what he saw on tape from himself during the 40-22 defeat, where he had just four catches for 39 yards.

    Travis Kelce waves

“I feel like I owe the guys that I come into that building with a whole lot more effort and focus,” Kelce said to his older brother, Jason, while speaking about returning for his 13th season in the league.

“I just don’t know what it was during that game, man. I wasn’t at my best. The more that I see clips or watch the film or put myself back in those moments, man, I’m just like, ‘What the f—?’”

Kelce admitted to over-analyzing the tape to see where he went wrong, but his older brother, now retired after a Hall of Fame career with the Eagles, advised not to do just that.

The advice was to no avail.

“That’s the way I find motivation,” Travis said about over-analyzing. “That’s how I create the beast. That’s how I flip the switch.”

Travis is clearly willing to let the beast loose for the 2025 season with his intentions made known. In fact, he said he feels he could even play at a “higher level than I did last year.”

    Travis Kelce looking on

“I don’t think [Super Bowl LIX] was my best outing,” he admitted. “I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past.

“I have a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me.”

Travis also mentioned Kansas City and the community that has come to welcome him with open arms, as well as him impacting it through philanthropic works. That played a factor in him wanting to go through another season.

Kelce has just one year left on his deal with the Chiefs before becoming a free agent in 2026, which would be his age 37 season if he decides to continue playing.

    Travis Kelce downcast

“I can’t say whether or not this is going to be the last year because I still love a lot of what I do for the city and the Chiefs organization. I know I got one on my contract, and I’m gonna give you guys everything I got, baby,” Travis said to Chiefs fans.

On paper, Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum is currently among the NBA’s most accomplished athletes. However, the 2024 NBA Champion doesn’t feel he gets the deserving appreciation. He’s been vocal about this ever since and has the backing of many stars.

Celtics legend Paul Pierce understands why Tatum isn’t given the credit he merits. Pierce asserted on the most recent episode of the ‘Ticket and The Truth’ podcast that Tatum is receiving unwarranted criticism due to the animosity toward Boston.

Pierce revealed, “Because he plays for Boston. It’s just what it is. Even Larry Bird was underappreciated because at one point, he was the best player in the league, but it was always Magic… Boston is the most hated franchise, hated team in all of sports, in all of basketball for sure.”

He added, “Like the guy has been to six Conference Finals in eight years. In eight years, two Finals. Like, if you match that up with like, KD’s and all the stars, they didn’t do that. Even like Luka (Doncic) been to one Finals, two Conference Finals.”

Paul Pierce’s assertion that Larry Bird was unappreciated undermines that lovely little hypothesis. Only five players in NBA history have been MVP more than once. Bird received the honor three times throughout his career. He also received all three of the MVP awards before Magic Johnson did, making him one of only three players to do it. Therefore, it is absurd to say that Johnson received all the praise while Bird was marginalized.

Jayson Tatum Isn’t Being Respected Despite Multiple Accomplishments

There are a number of reasons why Tatum might not receive the appropriate amount of respect. For most of his career, Tatum has been fortunate enough to play for teams with many excellent players. Therefore, his six Conference Final appearances in eight years are less highly regarded than someone like Luka Doncic. Donic only made it twice with a respectable but unimpressive supporting group.

In this midweek episode Topher and Mark go over Isaiah Thomas’ monster 53 points in game 2, last nights drubbing in Washington, some fond Pierce memories, and we debut our Celtics themed drinking game that came about from trying to make Marcus Smart launches from downtown a lot more fun. Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Tatum will only gain greater respect if he moves on to win more than one title. Balling out on the big stage, something he could not accomplish last year would also aid the 27-year-old’s chances if he wins Finals MVP.

Additionally, Tatum thinks he is best suited to be the NBA’s future face, and securing another championship would assist with that. Tatum would be one step closer to receiving the sort of attention he believes he deserves if the (43-18) Celtics were to win the championship again, which they have a decent chance of achieving. But for the time being, Tatum and the Celtics will focus on their next matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday at TD Garden.
