Novak Djokovic’s season was not going well before the Olympics in Paris, where the Serbian champion finally won the gold medal by lifting a weight off his shoulders. The Olympic tournament had become a sort of curse for Novak, who had seen his great goal vanish especially at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

The former world number 1 has raised his level as rounds have passed and played a final exception against Carlos Alcaraz, surprising the young Spaniard who was considered the big favourite by bookmakers on the eve of the match.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has once again proved himself to be one of the greatest athletes ever and has reaffirmed his intention to continue playing for years to come. The 37-year-old from Belgrade shocked everyone when he said he would like to compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, when he will be 41.

His next big goal will be the US Open, the last Grand Slam of 2024, which starts in just over a week in New York. The Serbian won the title last year, but it will be difficult to repeat the same feat this year. Nole will be one step behind Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who won the three Majors this year (Sinner won the Australian Open, while Alcaraz won the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships).

Nole is practicing for the US Open

Novak Djokovic spent a few relaxing days with his friends and family after the Paris Olympics, deciding to skip the Montreal and Cincinnati Masters 1000. After taking a little vacation, the Serbian champion was spotted in Montenegro where he started training again for the US Open.

Serbian legend has taken a weight by winning the gold medal in Paris: “The long-awaited gold. I entered these Olympics without a trophy, I had an injury. Many questioned the quality of my tennis. Few people considered me a favourite, but I secretly believed. I knew this might be my last chance to win gold. It was one of my best tournaments; I didn’t lose a set. I felt the support of the people. If there was ever a moment, it was now. Without false modesty, this is my greatest sports achievement, and I proudly carry this gold for Serbia.”

Novak Djokovic struggled to find the right motivation in the early part of the season, suffering several surprising defeats and injury to his knee during the French Open. The former world number 1 had to undergo knee surgery before Wimbledon, where he was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz in the final.

Nole Djokovic was not sure he could do the feat at the Olympics: “Doubts always exist, but faith and the belief that I can achieve my goals are always stronger. I was aware that this was my last chance to win an Olympic gold, so I had to focus fully on my goal. Nothing will ever surpass seeing myself on the podium listening to the Serbian anthem with the flag raised.” The 24-time Grand Slam champion has not been demoralised despite the difficulties of the last period and has provided yet another lesson to young players.

    Djokovic is still competitive

Top coach Patrick Mouratoglou discussed Nole’s future: “I think that Novak can still play three or four years at the highest level. The real question is about his motivation. I think he really struggled with motivation until the Olympics. Everybody felt like it was the end for Rafa Nadal. Novak felt it too, for sure it hit his motivation really hard, but after that Rafa came back on clay, his level and I think this gave extra motivation to Novak. Sinner started to play great, Alcaraz again [played great]. I think it touched his ego and he came back really strong and finally won the title that he was chasing all of his career, which was the gold medal at the Olympics to complete his collection of trophies.

Nole’s in great shape, he plays unbelievable tennis. He is ready to compete I think [for another] two, three, four years at the highest level. But he needed this competition between him and Roger and Rafa to be the greatest. The only confrontation now is probably Carlos and Jannik pushing him, beating him, him feeling his ego touched and wanting to show that he is still great.” Novak DjokovicNovak Djokovic© Getty Images Sport – Tim Goode

Novak is in the running to finish the season at the top of the ATP rankings, but he has admitted on several occasions that he is no longer interested in this goal. After the US Open, Djokovic will play an exhibition match with Grigor Dimitrov before flying to Shanghai.

Novak Djokovic has decided to share his thoughts on the stunning incident from the Auger-Aliassime and Jack Draper match as the record 24-time Grand Slam champion believes it’s time for tennis to introduce a VAR system and allow umpires to be able to check certain situations on the court.

If someone somehow missed it, Auger-Aliassime was facing a match point on Draper’s serve in the 10th game of the third set when the Briton came to the net and his ball appeared to go off his racket frame to the ground before getting over to the Canadian’s side of the net.

But chair umpire Greg Allensworth didn’t make any calls, which made Draper’s shot clean and since Auger-Aliassime didn’t manage to return the ball that landed in his part of the court – the Briton completed a 5-7 6-4 6-4 win.

However, Auger-Aliassime didn’t remain silent as he and umpire Allensworth argued for quite some time before the supervisor came to the court – but that also didn’t lead to any changes.

Auger-Aliassime, who was 100 percent that he was right, at one point even told Allensworth that he was going to “look ridiculous” after the situation goes viral. And the 24-year-old was right since Allensworth started receiving some strong criticism and backlash after fans watched the replay of the situation and it was showed that the ball clearly went off Draper’s frame to the ground. After the incident, Stefanos Tsitsipas posted the footage of it and wrote: “Oh my,” before adding: “I don’t think I have ever seen a shot like this.”

Djokovic responds to Tsitsipas’ post about the incident from the Auger-Aliassime match

Because some similar incidents have happened throughout the year, players but also various other tennis personalities have been calling for video reviews. And after the latest incident, Djokovic is doing the same.

“It’s embarrassing that we don’t have video replay of these kind of situations on the court. What’s even more ridiculous is that we don’t have the rule in place that would allow chair umpires to change the original call based on the video review that happens off the court! Everyone who watches TV sees what happened on the replay, yet the players on the court are kept in ‘dark’ not knowing what’s the outcome. We have Hawkeye for line calls, we live in the technologically advanced 21st century! Please respective Tours, make sure this nonsense never happens again!” Djokovic wrote.

What Auger-Aliassime told Allenworth on the court?

“That’s horrendous what you just did. But did you not see the ball bounce on the floor (court)?” Auger-Aliassime asked Allensworth before also telling him that Draper clearly “shanked it on the floor.”

But Allensworth was adamant in his claims that he saw nothing and that he didn’t have any doubts or otherwise he would have replayed the point.

“Man, You’re going to get out now, and it’s going to be everywhere, and it’s going to look ridiculous. I’m serious. It’s going to be crazy. And I know it’s not his place to make that call. It’s match point for him, it’s the win for him. But it’s your place to make that call,” Auger-Aliassime told the umpire. Meanwhile, Draper also insisted that he couldn’t 100 percent confirm that the ball touched his racket and then hit his part of the court.

“To be honest, I serve-volleyed, he hit an amazing pass at my feet. I was shocked at the pass, I was too busy looking at him. I didn’t see what happened. I looked at the umpire straightaway to see if he called a double bounce or not. As a player, I’m trying to focus on what I’m doing, I can’t make that call if I’m not 100 percent,” Draper said afterward.

“I said when the supervisor came on that if he said it was a double bounce and that he saw it clearly, I would have 100 percent replayed the point. The amount of times in the last 12 months where I’ve had to do the right thing sometimes… We’ve had a long battle out here, 2 1/2 hours; it would be ultra unfair on Felix if the match was won in that kind of way.”

Cheater is always a cheat, Kim Kardashian told that Taylor swift relationship with Travis is purely business and Baby Boy Travis is unsophisticated: Here is her prove

On Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department, one of her songs titled “thanK you aIMee” seemed to address an old feud with SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian. Even the title alludes to their long standing conflict with capitalized letters spelling out “KIM.”

Clearly, Swift has been thinking about her former friend for some time, but a source tells US Weekly that this will be her last word on the matter.

Taylor has moved on and is not looking back,” they said. “The song is her final word.”

The insider added that the Eras Tour star “has not heard” from Kardashian about the song, which contains lyrics about a bully named Aimee who “threatens to push me down the stairs” and “wrote headlines in the local paper, laughing at each baby step I’d take.

The original conflict began in 2016 when Kardashian released a recording on Snapchat that seemed to show Swift approving a lyric in Kanye West’s song “Famous” where he says he “made that b-tch famous.” Swift has denied approving the lyric and the full phone call release was an incident that caused quite a stir on social media.

Swift told TIME that Kardashian’s actions took a psychological toll on her.

You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she said. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”

In the track “thanK you aIMee,” the Aimee in question is eventually triumphed over, leaving Swift the victor in the narrative.

Kim Kardashian slammed for ‘idiotic’ comment trolling Princess Catherine’s absence

Fans were not impressed after Kim Kardashian recently posted a comment trolling Princess Catherine on social media.

Now, speculation surrounding the Princess of Wales’ alleged “disappearance” has been rife in the past few months, ever since she underwent abdominal surgery back in January.

She has not officially returned to her duties as a British royal but is expected to make a comeback after Easter.

However, the journey to full recovery has not been easy following the release of a photo of the princess and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, whom she shares with her husband, Prince William.

    Have a look below:

The photo was shared earlier this week alongside the caption: “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day,” adding that the image was taken by Prince William, with the date being simply “2024.”

While the image showed the royal and her children smiling broadly, the public soon began to spot some mistakes with the image, revealing that it had been edited.

The controversy was further fuelled when multiple international picture agencies refused to circulate the photograph, with the Associated Press going as far as to say it had been “manipulated by the source.”

In the wake of the drama, Princess Catherine took to X (formerly Twitter) to release a statement admitting that she had been behind the editing blunder, and apologized to her followers.

The tweet read: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”

But fans aren’t all convinced, with many questioning whether the 42-year-old was stepping away from the spotlight indefinitely or if there was something bigger at play.

In a photo caption, she wrote: “On my way to go find Kate.”

Social media users took to the comment section to express their views, with some laughing along with the Kardashian, while others slammed her for being so “idiotic.”

“What a f****** idiotic caption,” wrote one user while another added: “Not you trolling Kimmie, Kate probably going through hell.”

A third also stated: “It’s not like people from your fam have gone into hiding (rightfully so) during pregnancy or other medical reasons… this caption isn’t it.”

However, others seemed to take it well.

This Instagram user wrote: “The world is divided into two groups: Those who are living for and those who are loathing this caption. Kimberly is mother for this caption.”

And this user also agreed, calling the reality TV star “funny.”

Kim Kardashian horrified after daughter North West live-streams entire house tour without permission

Kim Kardashian was not happy with daughter North West after the eight-year-old gave a house tour on TikTok live.

After the mother/daughter duo set up a joint TikTok account last month, fans have been getting nonstop content on North’s daily life.

North treated her loyal followers to sneak peeks of each and every room of their Calabasas mansion.

Credit: TikTok/@kimandnorth“Let’s give a house tour,” North can be heard saying in the video as she filmed the hallway of her home where oddly shaped white Christmas trees lined the eery white corridor.

And while the video seemed to be innocent and well-intentioned, mom Kim was not happy when North came into her bedroom and started filming Kim laying in bed.

“Mom I’m live,” North told Kim in the video, to which Kim replied: “No! You’re not allowed to go live. North, come on. You’re not allowed to go live.”

“Ok bye,” North says, while continuing to film, catching her mom asking: “Is she really live?” before the video cuts out.

Before venturing up to Kim’s bedroom, North showed off the special Sing 2 screening the Kardashian-Jenner-Disick children were watching, as well as some Kardashian-West family portraits.

But by then, the Live video had been captured by several fan account and viewed by thousands of people.

Credit: TikTok/@kimandnorthIt comes as Kim announced that she’s finally passed her law student exam dubbed the “baby bar”.

She previously took the exam three times in the last two years but was unsuccessful in passing it until her fourth attempt.

Revealing the exciting news that she’s finally done it, the mom-of-four took to Instagram as she penned a lengthy post about her achievement.

Credit: TikTok/@kimandnorthAlongside a series of images of herself wearing an extravagant blue outfit, she wrote: “Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection. For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me.

“I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!! (I did have COVID on the 3rd try w a 104 fever but I’m not making excuses).”

The TV star went on to thank those who helped her pass the exam, before paying special tribute to her late father Robert Kardashian, who was a well-known lawyer most famous for representing OJ Simpson in the former athlete’s infamous trial.

“I know my dad would be so proud and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner,” Kim continued.

“I am told he was notorious for making fun of people who didn’t pass on their first attempt like he did, but he would have been my biggest cheerleader! Bottom line is don’t ever give up even when you are holding on by a thread, you can do it!!!!! Set your mind to it and get it done because it feels soooooo good once you get to the other side!”

Khloe Kardashian praised for posting ‘unedited’ photo ‘showing cellulite’

Khloe Kardashian has been praised by fans on social media for posting “unedited” photos showing “cellulite”.

The 38-year-old reality TV star was recently photographed by her younger sibling Kendall Jenner in an impromptu photoshoot for her Instagram account.

Dressed in nothing but a silver stringy bikini, the mom-of-two posed for the camera against a plain backdrop – running her hands through her lengthy brown extensions.

Fans have already raced to the comments section to voice their praise for the Good American founder, whose “refreshing” images show a more “raw” and “natural” version of the megastar.

One person wondered whether the photos were unedited, writing: “Is it just me or do the pictures actually look untouched/unedited?”

Both Khloe and her sister Kim have come under fire for their rapid weight loss in recent months – especially given that Kim rapidly shed 16lbs in three weeks to fit into last year’s Met Gala dress – with many people accusing the siblings of relying on Hollywood’s latest weight loss craze, the injectable diabetes medication Ozempic.

In response, Khloe has stated that her lean figure is the result of her workout schedule, saying (via Vanity Fair): “Let’s not discredit my years of working out. I get up five days a week at 6AM to train. Please stop with your assumptions. I guess new year still means mean people.”

The silver medal won at his first  Olympics should be a source of pride for Carlos Alcaraz and not of disappointment. The Spaniard won the silver medal only surrendering to an extraordinary performance by Novak Djokovic in the final. The Spaniard burst into tears during the interview given a few minutes after the defeat to Eurosport. Tears of someone who would have wanted to give a historic gold to his country. But Carlitos should be proud, also for having played doubles with his idol Rafael Nadal in the last Olympics of the legendary 22-time Slam champion.

However, Alcaraz understood the importance of the feat he achieved by winning the silver and explained that he enjoyed the moment already on the podium.Carlos Alcaraz

“I already appreciate the silver medal a lot, because I know how difficult it is and I’m enjoying the moment. Now I feel good and I enjoy wearing it. Of course when I left the court it was difficult for me because I have a strong ambition. But you have to put everything into perspective, think about how complicated it is to win an  Olympic medal. During the award ceremony, on the podium, I said to myself: You have to appreciate this moment, you don’t know if it will happen again,” Alcaraz explained to Eurosport

“A lot can happen in four years and I hope to be able to compete in Los Angeles 2028. The  Olympic Games are one of the most special competitions there is. Being able to represent your country at the Olympics is one of the most beautiful things about sport in general. And for me it was really exciting to be able to compete and try to bring joy to all the Spanish people.

The doubles with Rafael Nadal? There were moments when I had goosebumps during the matches with him. It’s something I will always remember and that will stay with me for the rest of my life,” he added.

Jannik Sinner tells how he felt about Novak Djokovic's viral Olympic win celebration

Jannik Sinner says Novak Djokovic’s extremely emotional reaction to winning the  Paris Olympics is very understandable considering everything the Serb went through before accomplishing one of his biggest goals and dreams.

After Carlos Alcaraz won back-to-back Grand Slam titles at the French Open and Wimbledon, it wasn’t a secret that many had him as the favorite in the  Paris Olympics final versus Djokovic.

And indeed, Alcaraz delivered a great performance and played at a high-level throughout the entire final – but Djokovic did so as well – and he did it a bit better and clinched a 7-6 (3) 7-6 (2) win in a two-set Olympic final that lasted nearly three hours. Had the match gone to a decider, the final would have very likely come near or top four hours of play – which would be absolutely insane.

“A very high-quality match, I’m sure everyone will agree. A very physically demanding match. When two of the best in the world face off, something special has to happen. It was a pleasure to watch such a match, I think everyone enjoyed it. You really don’t see a match like that every day,” Sinner said in his pre-tournament presser in Montreal.

This year, Djokovic has been very openly telling everyone that winning his first Olympic gold medal is his biggest goal and priority for this part of his career. And after getting one and completing his astonishing resume to the absolute fullest, the 37-year-old celebrated very passionately and emotionally on the court – that included the Serb going down on his knees and sobbing tears of joy.

“Of course I understand, but I think he understands it more than anyone else. He tried so hard to get this medal, which was the last thing he needed to accomplish. He knew this in his mind. He was close a couple of times, making bronze or fourth a couple of times. This year was his year, and it was just a very nice scene, to see how much this means to him,” Sinner explained.

For 22-year-old Sinner, it was supposed to be his  Olympic debut and he would have been among the top favorites for the gold  medal in the French capital. Three years earlier, Sinner had a chance to play at the Tokyo  Olympics but he decided against making his  Olympic debut back then.

While not having Sinner was a major blow to the Italian Olympic team, they still had success in tennis events after Lorenzo Musetti won the bronze medal in singles while Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini won gold in women’s doubles.

“It broke my heart not to be able to go to Paris, the Games were one of my main goals for the season. In the end though, looking at everything from a broader perspective, Musetti won a bronze, so an Italian is happy and I am happy for him,” Sinner claimed.Jannik Sinner Jannik Sinner© Getty Images Sport – Minas Panagiotakis

Meanwhile, Sinner is ready to return to action at this week’s Montreal Masters – where he will be the defending champion since he won the Toronto Masters last year. Speaking to reporters, the 22-year-old Italian shared that he was taking antibiotic for a week but that he is feeling much better now.

“Tonsillitis was tough, I took antibiotics for almost a week and didn’t touch the racquet for days. When I left for Canada, I wasn’t in perfect condition, now I feel much better and stronger every day. I am happy to be here, where I won my first Masters 1000, I arrived early and with my team, we are preparing everything in the best way to defend the title and continue to be consistent, as we have been all year,” Sinner said.

When Sinner won the tournament that was held in Toronto last year, he was world No. 8. Now, he is the top-ranked player in the world but insists that changes nothing in his approach or attitude.

“It’s just a different number. Me and my team, we try to make the process, our daily routine, to make everything in the best possible way and just try to be ready for every challenge that comes up. I’m very happy to come back here. It started off from last year semis of Wimbledon and then I came here for the first Masters event I won. I’ve been very consistent throughout one year and that’s at least what we will try to do in the next months also,” Sinner said.

In Montreal, Sinner has a first-round bye before facing either Pedro Martinez or a qualifier.

The world No. 1 said it “broke his heart” to miss the Paris 2024 Games.

He is now back in action at this week’s Canadian Open, where he is the reigning champion.

Sinner is already back to winning ways in Montreal, as he has partnered with British No. 1 Jack Draper in the doubles and they have already reached the third round. He will now start his singles campaign against Borna Coric.

It will be the Italian’s first singles match since Wimbledon as he was forced to pull out of the Olympics with tonsillitis. It’s not the first time illness has stopped Sinner from competing at a big event. But he has now revealed that he opted against having surgery that would have helped avoid future issues.

“The tonsils were not removed because that would require a little more time for recovery,” the 22-year-old told Ziggo Sport after arriving in Canada. Sinner also opened up on his illness during his pre-tournament press conference and admitted that he couldn’t practice for days.

He explained: “Tonsillitis was tough, I took antibiotics for almost a week and didn’t touch the racket for days. When I left for Canada, I wasn’t in perfect condition, now I feel much better and stronger every day.”

While the world No. 1 is happy to be back in time for his title defence in Canada, he was hit hard by his Olympics withdrawal. “I saw some of the Olympics, although I didn’t watch much  tennis. It broke my heart not to be able to go to Paris, the Games were one of my main goals of the season,” he added.
