THE View co-host Ana Navarro has revealed the injury she suffered while partying at the Democratic National Convention.

Taking to Instagram, the 52-year-old has flooded her page with pictures from the political event in Chicago last week.

It comes after the lifelong Republican turned on the GOP and told fans that she would be hosting the second night of the convention.

Her political pivot came after she became a “single-issue voter” according to her X bio, with her primary goal being to see Donald Trump fail and be ousted from the Republican party.

The political strategist and commentator urged her followers to be “part of the celebration of democracy” which riled up Republicans who said her ancestors would be “turning in their graves.”

Despite the backlash, the former refugee from Nicaragua has turned her Instagram grid blue with various snapshots from the DNC.

Her most recent post revealed the painful injury she received while partying alongside A-listers and top Democrats.

“Y’all the DNC just about did me in,” she wrote in the Instagram caption.

It was paired with a photo of her left foot which showed several blisters as well as a toe without a nail.

“If I had any damn sense, I’d realize I am too old and tired to be going out til the wee hours of dawn,” Navarro told fans.

“But of course, I tried to keep up with the cool-kids. For four consecutive nights.

“Partied like if I was a member of The Rolling Stones. And wore such great clothes and shoes…Now, I have blisters, cuts, and lost a toe nail.

POLITICAL PIVOT

Other snippets she shared from the convention include Vice-President Kamala Harris snuggling up to Navarro’s pooch ChaCha and a heartfelt moment with Barack Obama before he went on stage.

In the pictures, Navarro kissed the former president on the cheek and rested her hand on his tie, joking in the caption that it was while Michelle Obama was on stage which caused backlash among Obama fans.

She also met Harris’ running mate, the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, and his family.

Who is Ana Navarro-Cárdenas?

Navarro was born in Nicaragua but fled with her family to the United States in 1980 at the age of eight due to the political upheaval in her home country.

Her father stayed behind to fight with the Contras which saw Navarro and her family support Republican President Ronald Reagan who backed the rebel group.

She has worked alongside several high-profile Republicans including Florida Governor Jeb Bush in 1998.

Navarro has since become a political commentator for ABC News and CNN.

She is also a co-host on ABC’s The View alongside Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sara Hines.

Navarro married Al Cárdena, the former chair of the Florida Republican Party in 2019.

After Republicans mocked his son Gus Walz for crying with pride while his father was giving his keynote speech, the television anchor defended him against “a**-wipes” as she told people to leave the child alone.

Posting a picture of herself with Gus and his mother Gwen, Navarros said she was “so happy to be telling @gwenwalz and Gus in person how much I appreciate them.”

“If you come for them: 1. You are an a**-wipe; 2. You gotta go through me!” she added.

During her speech at the DNC, Navarro slammed Trump for his claims that Harris is a communist.

“‘Donald Trump and his minions call Kamala a communist. I know communism. I fled communism from Nicaragua when I was eight years old. I don’t take it lightly,” she said.

“And let me tell you what communist dictators do. And it’s never just for one day. They attack the free press,” she later added on social media.

“Do any of those things sound familiar? Is there anybody running for president who reminds you of that?”

Meanwhile, Trump has been back on the campaign trail, giving his first rally behind bulletproof glass in North Carolina last week.

He has since revealed his new plans after Robert F. Kennedy Jr suspended his campaign.

Rune was later seen giving autographs to his fans, signifying that the practice session had been called off.  While the reason for the incident is still unknown and no formal announcement has been made so far, it is likely that Nole’s injury menaces have returned to the picture.

Ahead of his Flushing Meadows campaign, Djokovic initially attended practice sessions without wearing any knee brace. However, as he took to the Arthur Ashe Stadium to engage in a friendly match with Juan Martin Del Potro, the New York crowd witnessed him wearing a similar compression sleeve. Remember, the Serbian Maestro was seen limping during the Paris Olympics as well.

Playing against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals, Djokovic was spotted in pain and later revealed that he was scared ahead of his next match. Nole wouldn’t want another injury with the 25th Grand Slam title at stake. The four-time US Open winner will be beginning his campaign to defend his title on Monday. He will face Radu Albot of Moldova where the Serb is a clear favorite. But as his injuries once again take center age, the discussion about his retirement after the US Open is making rounds in the tennis corridors.

Novak Djokovic has often expressed his desire to go deep in his career and play for as long as possible. But the Serb’s latest injury troubles have left many wondering about his retirement, and the former pro-Chirs Evert is the latest to join the fray. Ahead of the Grand Slam, Evert engaged in a preview discussion with John McEnroe where she revealed that Djokovic might call it quits if he wins the US Open title.

Speaking to McEnroe, Evert said, “I think if he wins the 25th major, I would think he would leave the game. I mean, I don’t know, he would break that tie with Margaret Court. He’s won the Olympics. That was such a big goal for him, winning the Olympics.”

If Djokovic faces another injury scare ahead of the US Open, it will be interesting to see if he makes some tough decisions regarding his career, provided he clinches his 25th title.

A$AP Rocky wants the world to know that he’s got love on the brain.

The rapper recently proved why his girlfriend Rihanna—with whom he shares sons RZA Athelston Mayers, 2, and Riot Rose Mayers, 12 months—is the ideal partner.

Noting their relationship is “going great,” Rocky told Billboard in an interview published Aug. 23, “I don’t think there’s a more perfect person.”

As for what prompted the Don’t Be Dumb artist to gush over the “Diamonds” singer? It was his appreciation for how Rihanna is able to juggle everything life throws at them.

“It’s crazy how we find balance with our chaotic schedules,” the 35-year-old continued. “When the schedules are hectic, she’s very understanding of that. And when the schedule’s freed up, that’s when you get to spend [the] most time together.”

Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) added, “It’s all understanding and compatibility.”

The couple first met in 2012 during a rehearsal for the MTV Video Music Awards and became friends, but RiRi revealed earlier this year that their relationship became romantic in 2019.

 

“We saw fashion the same. We saw creative the same,” she told Interview in April. “We ended up in the same circles a lot.”

And the pair made sure to tread carefully as they moved out of the friendzone and changed the nature of their friendship.

“I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships,” she said. “We knew what we’re capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other’s lives. We can make or break each other’s hearts. And so, we started dating with a lot of caution.”

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese may have had a massive game on Sunday, but she found herself trending due to multiple critics who love to point out how many shots she misses and the rebounds she gets from those misses.

On Sunday against the Las Vegas Aces, Reese scored only 11 points but grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds.

However, Angel Reese was still being blasted online because she finished 4 for 16 from the field and many clips showed her rebounding her own misses.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was one of those critics of the Sky rookie as he wrote, “Nothing but net!” following a terrible miss.

“Great kick out for the wide-open 3!” he added while posting a video of Angel Reese missing several shots and rebounding the ball on one possession.

After the loss to the Las Vegas Aces at the buzzer, Reese took to social media and appeared to fire back at Portnoy.

“If it was easy, everybody would be doing it. we good!” she wrote, adding the hashtag “Sky Town.”

Portnoy has made it clear he’s a fan of Caitlin Clark and the Fever, as he displayed this by live-tweeting during the Fever’s loss to the Lynx on Saturday.

Chennedy Carter Had Honest Admission On Angel Reese’s Missing Layups

Despite solid performances from Chennedy Carter and Angel Reese, the Chicago Sky suffered their third straight loss.

Reese did her job, securing 22 rebounds in the game, but she was 4 of 16 from the field.

After the game, Chennedy Carter praised Angel Reese while mentioning her missed shots and rebounds.

“Playing strong, playing hard,” Carter said. “Those are the things we need. Twenty rebounds, she had an incredible game, no matter if she finished at the rim. She’s doing the things that we need her to do in order for us to be successful. Regardless of the outcome… These are situations that we can learn from.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin is having an identity crisis. The registered Republican, who once served in Donald Trump‘s administration, told her co-hosts on this morning’s episode of The View that she doesn’t know where she fits in as a Republican anymore.

The ladies kicked off the episode with a discussion about Trump’s newly announced VP pick, J.D. Vance. To Joy Behar, Vance being on the ballot alongside Trump is “a good choice” for the Democrats when it comes to November’s election.

Griffin agreed that Vance was a “gamble” for Trump.

“He’s got some talents,” she admitted. “This is somebody who’s incredibly savvy, he’s a Yale law grad, he’s a former Marine — but for every normal interview he’s given in mainstream media, there are extremely polarizing clips of him in some of the farthest right corners of the internet espousing things that are outside of the political mainstream.”

Not only did Griffin think Democrats will “have a field day picking apart some of the things he said,” but she also noted that billionaire Elon Musk has pledged $45 million a month to a pro-Trump PAC since Vance was announced as his VP pick.

“We are seeing a total realignment of Republican politics,” Griffin said. “I was watching the convention — I’m grateful Donald Trump is safe. I think it was a powerful moment to see. He survived this assassination attempt. But the policies that were espoused — Reaganism is dead.”

Griffin continued, “This is a very different party. You had the teamsters on stage. You had J.D. Vance. You had people talking about Ukraine shouldn’t be supported. It’s a really odd moment in our politics. As a Republican, I don’t even know where I fit in anymore. This certainly doesn’t bring in the Nikki Haley national security Republicans.”

The former White House staffer concluded with her belief that Trump chose Vance because he’s “so confident” he’ll win the election that he can afford to make a “risky” choice.

The happy couple shared the exciting news of their new arrival with a sweet snap on social media that saw Hailey touching their newborn’s tiny foot.

“WELCOME HOME,” he posted as a caption alongside the adorable snap.

“JACK BLUES BIEBER,” he added, which announced the name of the couple’s first-born to the world.

Hailey, the excitable new mom, then shared Justin’s post on her Instagram Story, adding, “Jack Blues,” with a blue heart and bear emoji.

And in the aftermath of the couple becoming parents, they are beginning to adjust their lives around the tot, with them settling in rather well.

According to reports, parenthood is proving to be “total bliss” for the couple.

Prior to announcing her pregnancy, Hailey had been dodging pregnancy rumors for months, with fan speculation absolutely rife.

Speculation that she might be pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband began mid-2023 and clues continued to mount in the months following.

The View continues to ramp up its political coverage, with one segment on this morning’s episode focusing specifically on the varied calls to tone down incendiary rhetoric in politics, especially in light of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

The chat began with a clip from President Joe Biden‘s appearance on NBC News with Lester Holt on July 15, in which he clarified his previous language about Trump, especially his remark that the former POTUS should be put “in the bull’s-eye.”

Biden said, in part, “It was a mistake to use the word. I didn’t mean — I didn’t say ‘cross-hairs.’ I meant ‘bull’s-eye.’ I meant focus on him. Focus on what he’s doing. Focus on — on his — on his policies. Focus on the number of lies he told in the debate.”

After the clip of Biden’s interview played on The View, Alyssa Farah Griffin gave her take, applauding Biden for admitting his words were wrong.

“I think it was important that Biden acknowledge that the [word] was something that he shouldn’t have used, and I think it’s refreshing when politicians admit that they’re wrong about something,” Griffin said.

She continued, “It’s something we need to be checking ourselves, the way that we talk in this environment. We’re living in an era of political violence, even before the Trump assassination attempt.”

Later in the same segment, Griffin said that Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention on July 18 would be the perfect moment for him to try and bring our polarized nation together. Trump himself said that after the July 13 shooting at his rally, he’s going to craft ” a whole different speech” that will “bring the whole country, even the whole world, together,” per Axios.

On this morning’s show, Griffin told her co-hosts, “It’s an opportunity for the former president to take the temperature down on Thursday and show that in his remarks, if he’s capable of it.”

Sunny Hostin could be hear replying, “I hope he’s capable of it,” but Goldberg had her doubts.

She hit back, “Listen, that’s what he’ll do. I don’t know if he’ll stay with it. You know, he’ll start that way. And then he’ll lose his mind and it’ll start again.”

The hopes and dreams of the WNBA were almost dashed after Caitlin Clark went down with a concerning injury.

While the Indiana Fever were taking on the Atlanta Dream on the road, a play in the second quarter had fans holding their breath.

In the second quarter, Clark was trying to stay on her defense assignment when she suddenly twisted her ankle in a terrible way, which immediately sent her down to the ground in obvious pain.

She immediately grabbed her left ankle and had a look on her face like she thought something was terribly wrong as she lay down on the court.

She would stay on the court for several minutes before teammates, and some of the coaching staff helped her up.

Caitlin Clark let everyone know she could walk on her own as she made her way to the sidelines.

Clark likely had her ankles taped, and after missing a few plays, she would eventually return to the game in the same quarter.

Things could’ve been a lot worse, but she appeared to escape injury.

That ankle will surely be put in an ice bath for several hours.

Caitlin Clark And The Indiana Fever Had Been Rolling Since The Olympic Break

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have come out strong post-Olympic break, winning two out of three games.

Clark, in particular, has been sensational. She delivered an incredible 29-point, 10-assist performance in the victory over the Phoenix Mercury, which was followed by her dropping 23 points and 9 assists in the win against Seattle, per ESPN.

Clark and the Fever are rolling at the right time as they enter a crucial stretch with several winnable games on the horizon.

Sitting at 13-16, the Fever need to continue to win to secure a playoff spot in Clark’s promising rookie year.
