The View is back, but with a new season and a new studio, there’s bound to be a few wrinkles along the way. This morning, moments after showing off their new space and debuting a fresh Season 28 theme song (courtesy of Leona Lewis and Diane Warren, no less), the ladies fumbled through the beginning of their very first segment.

While The View has been on hiatus since July, the co-hosts finally reunited and had plenty to chat about, including their fun Season 28 mugs and of course, all of the political events that have gone down since they last taped the show. But before they could launch into Hot Topics, there was some apparent confusion about what, exactly, they were supposed to be discussing first.

“We haven’t been together for a while!” Sunny Hostin exclaimed, as Alyssa Farah Griffin noted, “There’s so much to catch up on.”

Hostin agreed, “It’s nice,” then the table fell into an unexpected silence, which was thankfully punctured by laughter around the table. Goldberg knowingly looked into the audience, then offered an explanation for the awkward moment.

“Now isn’t this funny. I thought we were starting with something totally different. And so, they’ve made a change, yes?” she asked, looking out at The View‘s trusty Executive Producer Brian Teta, who replied, “Yes!”

Sara Haines chimed in with her signature sunshine when she joked, “That’s how they force you to do what they want. They just put it in the prompter and say, ‘Go,’” but Goldberg maintained, “There was something totally different coming.”

When Griffin tried to assure her that the mystery segment was still included in the day’s episode, just later in the lineup, Goldberg replied, “I don’t really care if we do it in the order,” before shading the show’s producers: “It’s always nice to, you know, not get a shocker in the first four seconds of the show,” she said.

The studio and the song may be new, but one thing is clear: Whoopi hasn’t changed a bit.

She first reposted an upload from Rhode with the message “Hi”.

The model’s Rhode Booth has been on a pop-up summer tour and recently appeared in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Miami, London, and Ibiza.

It will soon make its way to Toronto on Aug 20, and it’s where Hailey Bieber said she would be bringing her “surprise”.

She added the “We have a surprise” text over the Rhode post about the Canada pop-up – alongside eyeball and pink bow emojis.

Hailey Bieber has told ABC News about being an expectant mother: “I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time.

“I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which is when I announced it.”

Just after clinching his second Olympic gold medal in Paris, Boston Celtics defensive specialist Jrue Holiday brought his wife and children to witness the historic WNBA game between the Connecticut Sun and LA Sparks at TD Garden in Boston.

This game, the first WNBA match held at the iconic TD Garden, was a sell-out, with 19,156 tickets sold. It marked the fifth sell-out of the 2024 season, the third highest attendance for a WNBA game this season so far and the largest ticket sales for a Connecticut Sun game in franchise history.

Jrue Holiday signs 4-year extension with Celtics

Holiday has agreed to a four-year, $135 million contract extension with the Celtics, opting out of his $37.5 million player option for next season as part of the deal.

Jayson Tatum Is Ready To Lead The Celtics To Back-To-Back Championships: ‘We Have The Same Team Coming Back…’

 

In a recent chat with the media, Celtics star Jayson Tatum opened up on the path ahead after winning the 2024 NBA championship. With the same group coming back, Tatum says he’s confident that the Celtics can go back-to-back.

“We had a hell of a team last year,” said Jayson. “It was so fun to be a part of that. The journey that we had and how we kind of dominated the regular season and then went 16-3 in the playoffs. It looked like it was easy but it wasn’t, it was hard… we played some really good teams. It’s exciting to be able to run it back — we have the same team coming back. We’re even more motivated to win another one.”

After years of trying, and failing, to make a run in the East, doubts were beginning to surface about Tatum and his ability to lead his own team to the championship. In 2023, the scrutiny for Tatum and the Celtics reached an all-time high when they lost in the East Finals against the Heat after losing the first three games in the series.

Fortunately, the 2023-24 campaign ended up being the best stretch of Tatum’s basketball career. Last season, the Celtics dominated the field and finished at the top of the East with a 64-18 record. They proceeded to lose just three games over the next four playoff rounds to win the championship in convincing fashion. It was the franchise’s first Finals win since 2008, and the first championship ever for Tatum, Brown, and sharpshooting big man, Kristaps Porzingis.

While his teammate and co-star, Jaylen Brown, won the MVP for the Eastern Conference and the Finals, they couldn’t have done it without Tatum. He averaged 26.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in the regular season and 25.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists through 19 playoff games.

Of course, Tatum also played a part in helping Team USA win the gold this summer at the Paris Olympic Games. While his role was somewhat limited, he was still able to give some valuable minutes to the USA and provide an offensive spark off the bench.

Now that the tournament is over, Tatum can shift his focus to preparing for next season. With the Celtics set to run it back, they are poised to defend their status as the top team in the East and make another run for the Larry O’Brien trophy. With, arguably the best roster in the league, the odds will be in the Celtics’ favor to win it all in 2025 but it will not be an easy feat.

With tough challengers in the East, such as the Pacers, Knicks, and the new-look 76ers, wins may not come as easily for Tatum and his crew as they did last season. But with valuable championship experience under his belt, Tatum should be more equipped than ever before to lead his team to victory and solidify his place as one of the best players in the game.

Only time will tell if the Celtics can go back-to-back but they have every reason to be confident in their chances right now given how dominant they’ve been as a team over the past 10 months.
