Taylor Swift’s status for the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night has been revealed.

Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for roughly a year now. Swift attended 13 Chiefs games in 2023, including every playoff game and their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.

According to a report from Bob Williams and Steve Brenner of The U.S. Sun, the Grammy Award-winning singer will indeed be in attendance for the Chiefs’ season opener at Arrowhead Stadium.

Here’s what a source close to Taylor Swift told the outlet:

“She wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world. After the long Euro part of the tour, where Travis was able to come show up and spend time with her when he could, she wants to show him that she supports him.”

Swift essentially confirmed her relationship with Kelce last year when she attended the Chiefs’ Week 3 home game against the Chicago Bears. A week later, she was at MetLife Stadium for the Chiefs’ “Sunday Night Football” road game against the New York Jets.

Taylor Swift had a concert in Tokyo the night before Super Bowl 58 took place in Las Vegas. She performed her show and then rushed back to the United States, landing in plenty of time before the big game.

The Chiefs defeated the 49ers in overtime to complete the repeat, becoming the first team to hit that feat since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots. Up next, Kansas City will try to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.

Chiefs vs. Ravens Meet In AFC Championship Game Rematch

The Ravens and Chiefs will square off in a can’t-miss rematch of last season’s AFC title game, which Kansas City won 17-10 to end Lamar Jackson’s second MVP-winning season.

Patrick Mahomes owns a 4-1 record against Jackson, with the only loss coming in Week 2 of the 2021 season. The three-time Super Bowl champion is 2-0 at home against Baltimore, with victories at Arrowhead in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

  • Alex de Minaur calls out chair umpire as fans blast illogical rule in US Open clash against Jordan Thompson

Alex de Minaur calls out chair umpire as fans blast illogical rule in US Open clash against Jordan Thompson

The Aussie duo were both rattled after the bizarre rule was enforced.

Alex de Minaur vented his frustration with the chair umpire after Aussie rival Jordan Thompson’s hat fell off during play at the US Open to prevent him from winning the point in a bizarre tennis rule. De Minaur and Thompson engaged in a tight fourth round clash at the US Open with an Australian guaranteed to reach the quarter-final at Flushing Meadows.

De Minaur stormed out of the gates and left his fellow Aussie rival shell-shocked in the first set with a 6-0 drubbing. However, Thompson showed grit and determination to fight his way back into the match to take the second set 6-3. Although there was a controversial moment in the second set at 30-30 on Thompson’s serve.

De Minuar had moved Thompson around the court and forced him to throw up a high recovery shot on the run. The No.10 seed went to put the smash away to earn two break points, but Thompson stopped and gestured to grab the attention of the the chair umpire.

Thompson’s hat had fallen off during the play as he put up the towering recovery shot. The chair umpire hadn’t seen the hat fall off and followed the action as de Minaur won the point. Unfortunately for de Minaur, Thompson used a controversial tennis rule to his advantage having stopped during play. This was within his right.

Once an opponent’s hat falls off during play the point needs to be replayed. If Thompson’s hat falls off a second time then he can face a point deduction. But since it was the first time during the match, Thompson told the chair umpire he stopped because the point needed to be replayed.

De Minaur approached the chair umpire and questioned why the point hadn’t been stopped as soon as Thompson’s bright yellow hat had fallen off. De Minaur was the clear favourite to win the point since he was granted a smash at the net, even though the smash went back at Thompson who returned it. De Minaur then hit a winner.

The chair umpire explained she was following the ball and had missed the hat falling off during the point. The No.10 seed accepted the decision and the chair umpire’s reason and replayed the point against his fellow Aussie. Thompson used the break to his advantage and managed to go on and hold the game. He then capitalised with the momentum to level the match at one-set all.

De Minaur didn’t show his frustration and managed to brush if off heading into the third set. However, fans questioned the bizarre rule and why de Minuar wasn’t automatically awarded the point for his opponent’s hat falling off.

After the match, de Minaur explained his confusion during the post-match press conference. He admitted he felt the chair umpire made the right call at the time. “That’s happened to me so many times. (But) I’m normally the one with my hat just falling off,” he said.

“The only thing that I felt (was) puzzling is that I wasn’t sure, and I actually in the moment didn’t ask the ref, but I was curious if I would have hit a winner on the next shot, if it still would have been a replay or not.

“Because I’ve had times where my hat has fallen off (and) I’ve stopped, but the opponent hasn’t, and the referee deems it as it’s only endangering me and not my opponent (and that) therefore, it’s not a replay of the point.

“It feels like the rule just changes, depending on the ref, if I’m honest. I wouldn’t be able to tell you the actual rule book, because I have had so many different situations where they have played it off different ways, but in my eyes, I feel like any time the hat falls off, it should be a replay point, no matter what.”

Alex de Minaur celebrates a win.

Alex de Minaur (pictured) defeated Jordan Thompson at the US Open.
Thompson put up a very strong fight against his younger rival and made de Minaur work for every point in typical Aussie style. De Minaur improved his serving performance in the third and fourth set to pull away to win 6-0, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.

De Minaur showed his respect for his friend and fellow Aussie during his on-court interview having praised Thompson for his mentorship throughout the years. “Yeah look, I have so much respect for Thompson. We grew up together. He has been like a big brother for me,” de Minaur said after the match.

When asked about how he was approaching the US Open, the No.10 seed pinpointed his determination as the key. “Just the mentality….try to play every point and win every point. Just compete my heart out. Thanks for those who stayed,” de Minaur added to a huge roar from the crowd.

De Minaur’s win saw him emulate Aussie tennis icon and his mentor Lleyton Hewitt. The 25-year-old became the first male Aussie to reach the quarter-final in three consecutive grand slams since Lleyton Hewitt 20 years ago. Incredibly not even Ash Barty or Sam Stosur achieved this feat at the height of their careers.

He will next play Jack Draper in the quarter-final with a huge opportunity to reach his maiden US Open semi-final. De Minaur will now be looking to once again emulate his Davis Cup captain’s 2004 run and lift the trophy. Most importantly for de Minaur, the Aussie was moving with speed and agility having appeared to recovered from the hip injury that saw him retire from Wimbledon and withdraw from the Paris Olympics singles competition.

  • Alex de Minaur inflicts shock new blow on Novak Djokovic amid brutal twist for Katie Boulter

Alex de Minaur inflicts shock new blow on Novak Djokovic amid brutal twist for Katie Boulter

The Aussie tennis player has become an honorary Brit due to his girlfriend – but he won’t be against Jack Draper at the US Open.

Novak Djokovic has suffered another significant blow at the hands of an Australian tennis player, with Alex de Minaur overtaking him for the last spot in the race to the ATP Finals. Djokovic suffered a shock loss to Alexei Popyrin in the third round of the US Open, meaning he hasn’t won a single grand slam title in 2024.

The Serbian star has dropped from World No.2 to No.4 in the live ATP rankings, and he’ll fall to fifth if Daniil Medvedev beats Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals in New York. But as well as the rankings hit and the fact he’s been stuck on 24 career grand slams all year, Djokovic is in serious danger of missing out on qualifying for the year-ending ATP Finals.

Alex de Minaur, Katie Boulter and Novak Djokovic.

With de Minaur’s victory over Jordan Thompson in the fourth round of the US Open, the Aussie has now moved ahead of Djokovic into eighth spot in the race to the ATP Finals. Only eight players will qualify for the season-ending tournament, meaning Djokovic would miss out if the standings remain the same.

As opposed to the official ATP rankings, which work on a 24-month cycle, the ATP Finals field is determined by the players with the most points accrued in the calendar year. Even though Djokovic is now fourth in the world rankings, he’s ninth in the race to the ATP Finals.

It would mark a staggering development if Djokovic doesn’t qualify for the Finals given he’s won the tournament the most times in its history (seven). The 37-year-old has only missed the ATP Finals once since 2007, but that was due to injury in 2017.

Whether or not he still regards the ATP Finals as a must-play event remains to be seen, with Djokovic putting all of his focus into winning gold at the Olympics this year. The Serb didn’t appear to have his heart in it during the US Open after completing his quest to win the only major title that has eluded him in his career – gold at the Olympics – in Paris.

The fact that de Minaur has overtaken Djokovic in the race for the Finals goes to show how good the Aussie has been in 2024, and the indifferent form of Djokovic. The 24-time grand slam champion hasn’t won a single title on the ATP Tour this season, with his Olympic gold medal his only prize to show for a down year.

De Minaur has a 43-19 win-loss record in 2024 and has claimed two titles – in ‘s-Hertogenbosch on grass and Acapulco on hard court. In contrast, Djokovic is 31-8 this season and hasn’t played nearly as many tournaments.

De Minaur will take on Jack Draper in the quarter-finals of the US Open on Wednesday (Thursday 4am Australian time). He will put his love affair with Great Britain aside for the time being, with Brits normally happy to cheer him on due to his relationship with Katie Boulter.

    Katie Boulter and Alex Minaur.

Boulter will also have her allegiances tested as her boyfriend takes on her compatriot. “Look, I’ve played plenty of Brits. It’s never easy. I feel a little bit of hostility in their country at the moment,” de Minaur said on Tuesday.

“But again, these are the types of matches I want to be playing. I worked so hard to put myself in this position throughout the years. So many hours off the court, on the court, working on little things, because these are the matches I want to be playing – tail end of slams, opportunities, quarter-finals. Yeah, I’m excited for the battle … I mean, do one for Australia, do one for myself as well.”

Prince Harry ‘won’t return to royal duties unless William apologises’ but would be willing to ‘help out’ the Firm if asked by his father, report claims

Prince Harry will not return to royal duties unless William apologises, but would be willing to ‘help out’ the Firm if asked by his father, a report has claimed.

Sources close to The Duke of Sussex have suggested he is happy with his decision to quit his royal role, the Mirror reported.

But they claim he would be open to a temporary role within the Royal Family if asked to help out by his father.

It comes after the Mail on Sunday revealed last week that the Duke had turned away from his ‘Hollywood publicists’ and had resorted to texting former confidantes ‘from his old life’ on how to mastermind a return from exile in the US.

However, sources stressed Harry and Meghan, who have spent the past four years living in California with their two children, are not seeking a permanent return.

The Mirror also previously reported that Prince William suggested there would be ‘zero chance’ that Harry would be welcomed back following the publication of his memoir, Spare.

In the book, Harry took aim at some members of the Royal Family. He accused William of assaulting him in a row over Meghan and claimed his brother and their father confronted him after Prince Philip’s funeral ‘looking for a fight’.

Harry also alleged that William and Kate urged him to wear his infamous Nazi fancy dress outfit.

He cast his brother as his ‘arch-nemesis’; Queen Consort Camilla as a ‘wicked stepmother’ and Charles as an emotionally-stunted and ineffectual ‘old man’.

William and Harry have not spoken for months and currently have no contact.

It was revealed last week that both William and Harry attended the funeral of their uncle Robert Fellowes, but witnesses said they didn’t see the brothers speak.

They reportedly sat apart at the back of St Mary’s Church in Snettisham where the service for Eton-educated Lord Fellowes took place.

Sources spoke of how the pair arrived ‘very discreetly’ and that you wouldn’t have known they were there.

According to The Mirror, friends of Harry have said he is determined to improve his relationship with his father, especially given his health problems.

They claimed the Duke would still look for an apology from his brother if he were to represent the family in any way.

Meanwhile, sources close to Harry, who turns 40 next week, told the that he is settled in California.

They claim that Harry has an ‘amazing’ new set of friends in the United States and several projects on the horizon.

He is currently preparing for a trip to New York where he will take part in engagements connected to his various charities, including the Halo Trust and the Diana Award.

The newspaper also revealed Harry and Meghan had parted company with another American PR adviser.

Christine Weil Schirmer joined the Sussexes in 2020 as head of communications but left quietly late last year.

She is the tenth staff member to have left the couple in three years and last month took up a job with PR giant Brunswick advising clients on reputation management.

Last month, it emerged that the Sussexes’ chief of staff Josh Kettler had suddenly quit his job after scarcely three months.

‘Harry is turning away from all sorts of Hollywood publicists and is seeking counsel from his old friends and associates,’ said a source.

‘He is clearly reaching out thinking, ‘I need to do something different because what I’m doing is clearly not working’. In short, he is rethinking the way he operates.’

Ending his rancorous feud with his brother William is not seen as a realistic goal, but last week this newspaper revealed that the King may be open to healing the rift with his youngest son, and had consulted with faith leaders as he explores the nature of forgiveness.

At least one of the advisers approached by Harry is a trusted figure ‘from the old school’ known for loyalty and discretion.

One friend has already allegedly devised a strategy for how Harry might begin moving in UK circles again – even carrying out ‘very low-key royal duties’.

A source said the friend ‘believes if Harry comes back to the UK with zero fuss, and does zero publicity and attends very mundane events, he could prove himself and win over the British public again.

‘He would have to accept, though, that he might be reduced to ribbon cutting for a long period. But it would give him purpose to work again.’

But the source said it would only happen ‘if certain members of the family could find it in themselves to allow it’.

Stephen A Smith claims Sheryl Swoopes was removed from broadcast due to personal feelings toward Caitlin Clark

Swoopes is a color commentator for Dallas Wings games

Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to a 100-93 victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday.

Missing from the game was WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes. Nancy Lieberman replaced Swoopes as the Wings’ color commentator for the game instead.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smtih believed that Swoopes was removed from the broadcast due to her personal feelings toward Clark.

“What incriminates, in my opinion – it’s just my opinion – but what incriminates somebody like Sheryl Swoopes even more who, by the way, was supposed to be calling the game with y’all yesterday, and she did not call the game,” Smith said during a recent episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show”.

“And no doubt it had something to do with the fact that, when Caitlin Clark had performed early in the week she didn’t want to talk about it at all.”

Smith is referring to when Clark scored 31 points with 12 assists during the Fever’s 100-81 win over Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky last week.

“We recognize that, and we know in television the way that I do. I know what producers do, I know bosses do when you see your personal feelings, whatever they may be infiltrating the proceedings and compromising your position as a professional.”

Bally Sports Southwest did not have a comment for Fox News Digital when asked about Swoopes not being on the broadcast. The Dallas Wings did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Swoopes, during an appearance on “Gil’s Arena,” podcast with former NBA star Gilbert Arenas in February, made incorrect statements about Clark’s collegiate career and stats.

Swoopes said that Clark stayed in college for five seasons and that she took over 40 shots per game while discussing the topic of how Clark broke the NCAA’s all-time basketball points record her senior year in 2023.

While, in fact, Clark played just four seasons while averaging just 22.7 shots per game en route to the record.

Swoopes posted the text message apology she sent to Clark following those comments from February to X on Monday.

“Hey Caitlin, I wanted to personally reach out to you and say I made a mistake on what year this is for you, COVID year has me all confused,” Swoopes wrote. “I also have nothing but respect for you and your game and appreciate your skill. Congrats on everything you have accomplished thus far. Be blessed.”

The other screenshots show Clark thanking Swoopes for reaching out and her contributions to the WNBA. Swoopes said that she appreciates Clark and her game and told her to “keep being great!”

Swoopes, during an August episode of her “Queens of the Court” podcast, notably omitted Clark as a reason for the recent improvement of the Fever. Swoopes only praised Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull.

However, Clark has been the team’s leading scorer during its win streak and is already one of the top scorers in the WNBA.

The Fever began the season 1-8 and have since gone 16-8. After their win on Sunday, they are over .500 for the first time all season at 17-16.

Smith responded to Swoopes’ statements in that episode and said the Hall of Famer was “insane to do that.”

“Do you have any idea how that makes you look?”

“You talk about whomever and whatever you want to on your podcast. Correct? So why can’t I? Also, did you listen to the ENTIRE episode? NOPE! I have a personal relationship with these players and they deserve recognition as well.”

Smith said that Swoopes’ basketball acumen makes her lack or praise of Clark seem personal.

“But I think in the case of Sheryl Swoopes, and I’m not going to belabor this point, but it’s important to be made that Sheryl Swoopes is a winner. She was great, and she’s a phenomenal basketball mind.”

“What she’s not realizing is that when she doesn’t state the obvious it’s automatically going to be assumed that it’s something personal, because we know you know the basketball game, the game of basketball too well to ignore the kind of things that she’s ignoring when it comes to Caitlin Clark.”

The Fever’s next game is away against the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday.

Born in Ohio on September 2, 1956 to Jeanette, a nurse, and Alvin, an antique dealer, Doria grew up in Los Angeles after her family moved there when she was still a baby.

Doria attended Fairfax High School in Hollywood during a time when racial tensions were high.

Her friend Jennifer Caldwell said: ‘She was part of an all-black group of students which would regularly protest.

‘She had this beautiful Afro hairstyle she was so proud of and she was always into fashion. She was always smiling, whip-smart and sociable.

‘Doria was very aware of her own identity and confident in her body and where she was going. She wanted to make something of her life.’

She met Meghan’s father when she was working as a secretary at ABC Studios – Thomas Markle was working as a lighting director at the time.

The pair married in 1979 in a Buddhist ceremony and had Meghan two years later.

The Duchess once wrote about how her mother would take her out in a pushchair and be mistaken for a nanny because of the colour of her skin.

At one point, Thomas’s two children from his previous marriage joined the household and Doria took on the role of stepmother.

However, Doria and Thomas divorced after just two years. At 11 years old, Meghan moved in with her father but her parents remained friends and she spent her weekends with both of them.

A trained yoga teacher, Doria also has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California and previously had a dress-making business.

She is also a doting grandmother to Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

A former confidant previously said: ‘She’s laid-back, and people see her nose ring and dreadlocks which are cool – but make no mistake, she has a core of steel. Underestimate her at your peril.

‘Meghan has always trusted her completely but she has become a rock to Harry who, of course, lost his own mother so young.

‘Doria has a great warmth. She’s a brilliant cook and is very motherly, but she isn’t someone who seeks attention, and for Harry, her discretion and silence mean the world.’

In 2022, she spoke out about her daughter’s mental health struggles in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries.

She wiped tears away as she said it had been hard for her to hear that her daughter was suffering from low mental health while she lived in the UK.

Jimmy Butler & Justin Timberlake’s Shocking Collab Leaves Fans Stunned as Nets Rumor Heats Up

Current stop: Stockholm, Sweden. That’s where Jimmy Butler‘s world tour has now led him. “You better sing it bucket,” Justin Timberlake hollered at Jimmy from the stage of Tele 2 Arena to which the NBA star obliged. That was the scene from a Timberlake concert and, by the looks of it, Jimmy had a blast.

This came after his recent tour of China to participate in Yao Ming’s charity basketball game. Jimmy is keeping himself occupied with things he loves throughout the offseason. In Sweden, basketball wasn’t off the menu as the Heat forward was putting the work in the lab before heading to his main destination.

The destination was Justin Timberlake’s concert. Although Jimmy Butler wasn’t dressed in black and white, he certainly put on a show. This included some of his signature dance moves. While Timberlake took over the stage, controlling the crowd to his tune, Butler was grooving to it from a few rows back with a drink in hand. The 10-time Grammy award winner gestured a time-out after spotting Jimmy in the crowd and the two again linked up following the show. The two shot some pictures together, displayed in a carousel on his Instagram post. Butler captioned the post, “a night was had in stockholm sweden. shouts to @justintimberlake for a helluva damn show”.

    What’s your reaction?

Jimmy Butler and Justin Timberlake’s shocking collab: Did you see this coming? React!

Jimmy and side quests landed him in a music video with Fall Out Boys earlier this year, followed by a courtside cameo alongside Camila Cabello. But what of his main quest? The NBA championship still eludes him as Butler is entering his 13th season in search of that and the fans want exactly that despite his Nets links.

Fans urge Jimmy Butler to bring the chip to Miami despite Nets rumor

“Jimmy I’m still glazing please bring us a chip I know you can my glorious Butler,” a fan wrote. This is the common plea among the Heat fans who are looking for their first NBA Championship since 2013. Butler was agonizingly close to making that a reality before the Nuggets demolished them in the 2023 NBA Finals after losing at the same stage in 2020 to the Lakers. Last season was a forgettable one for the franchise as Butler missed the playoffs as the Celtics dumped them out in round one. Incidentally, Timberlake is a Celtic through and through, which led to some fans questioning the collab.

    What’s your perspective on:

Could Jimmy Butler’s rumored move to the Nets shake up the entire NBA? What do you think?

    Have an interesting take?

    Debate

“Jimmy no ring butler 🍀☘️☘️☘️”, another fan added, bringing up the heated rivalry between the franchises. The MCL injury kept Butler out of the series against the Celtics. In May, Butler retorted that if he was fit, the Cs would be at home. The Heat did exactly the same the previous year during their Eastern Conference Finals showdown. The 34-year-old also claimed that the Knicks would’ve surely been home if he played, showing his disdain for the NY side and his affinity to the Nets.

So it was understandable that a Nets fan wanted to see Butler in the black and white of the franchise amid the rumors. “Can’t wait to see you in that Brooklyn Nets jersey”, read a comment. Butler is reportedly open to joining the Nets in the free agency next summer. The 6-time All-Star’s intention of not signing an extension with the Heat is already out in the open and the next will possibly be his last chance to leave a lasting legacy in Miami.

I love you Jimmy. But it’s almost game time. We need you to bring us the championship this year,” a Heat fan urged in the comments of the post. It will be Butler’s 6th season in the franchise. While he has 2 All-Star appearances during that span, he failed to bring the big one to Miami. This will be a pivotal season for the Heat as the franchise might go into a rebuilt mode following this one. So a title will be the perfect way to end his tenure in Florida.

Jimmy Butler is one of the most popular players in the NBA.

He is coming off a year where he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 41.4% from the three-point range in 60 games.

The Miami Heat star currently has 10 million followers on Instagram and is always posting content to his story.

Butler had his season cut short due to injury and he was unable to play in the 2024 NBA playoffs.

This was just one year after he led the Heat to the NBA Finals for the second time in four seasons.

That said, seeing Butler being able to travel and move around the world is a good sign that he is going to come back fully healthy next year.

The Heat lost to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in five games).

Butler signed with the franchise during the summer of 2019.

Over that span, the Heat have been to the NBA Finals twice (and Eastern Confernece finals three times).

2024 NBA Finals - Game Five

During the 2023-24 NBA season, the Boston Celtics were the cream of the crop in the league, as they dominated the competition on a nightly basis on the storied franchise’s way to winning 64 games, which was the best in the NBA.

As if it wasn’t impressive enough for the Celtics to cruise through the regular season unscathed, Boston carried that dominance over to the NBA playoffs, as they made easy work of the competition on their way to the NBA Finals to take on Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks.

Although some believed that the Mavericks might be able to give the Celtics a run for their money in the Finals after they defied the odds throughout the Western Conference playoffs, Boston made easy work of Dallas in five games, resulting in the team winning an NBA record 18th title, edging out the arch-rival Los Angeles Lakers.

After winning his first NBA title, superstar forward Jayson Tatum was on cloud nine while living the dream until he went to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France, and had to watch from the bench most of the time on his way to winning gold with Team USA.

The experience of having to ride the bench after winning a title left a significant impact on Tatum, but he’s probably feeling a little bit better after the reception he received arriving in Shanghai, China, via Overtime.

Tatum has no shortage of fans in China, which could result in him regularly returning like his mentor, Kobe Bryant, used to visit and was adored by those in the country.

The Celtics superstar will embark on an interesting journey as he attempts to win back-to-back titles in Boston and earn the respect of his peers.
