Djokovic Shares He May Face The Risk Of Not Qualifying For The Atp Finals For A Reason That Disappointes Many People

In a surprising turn of events, Novak Djokovic has revealed that he may face the risk of not qualifying for the ATP Finals, and the reason behind it has left many of his fans and tennis enthusiasts deeply disappointed. Despite his stellar performance throughout the season, the Serbian tennis legend hinted at a potential issue that could derail his chances of securing a spot in one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year.

Djokovic, who has consistently been a dominant force on the ATP Tour, has found himself in an unexpected situation. Speaking to the media, he explained that a combination of personal reasons and scheduling conflicts could prevent him from earning enough points to qualify for the ATP Finals.

“I’ve had an incredible season so far, but there are factors outside of my control that may affect my ability to play all the necessary tournaments leading up to the Finals,” Djokovic admitted. He stopped short of providing specific details, but his comments hinted at the possibility of health concerns or personal commitments that may keep him from fully competing in the remaining events on the tour.

The revelation has disappointed many of Djokovic’s fans, who were hoping to see him finish the year strong by competing in the ATP Finals. “It’s heartbreaking to think that Novak might not make it, especially after everything he’s accomplished this year,” one fan commented on social media.

With Djokovic holding such an iconic status in the sport, his absence from the ATP Finals would not only be a personal blow to him but also a major loss for the tournament. The ATP Finals, often referred to as the “Fifth Slam,” brings together the best eight players in the world, and Djokovic’s potential absence has already cast a shadow of uncertainty over the event.

While Djokovic’s legacy as one of the greatest tennis players of all time is secure, not qualifying for the ATP Finals would be an unexpected blip in an otherwise historic season. Djokovic, who has won the ATP Finals multiple times, knows how important this event is in shaping the narrative of a season and a career.

Some tennis analysts believe that Djokovic’s comments may signal his awareness of the physical toll the sport has taken on him over the years. After winning several Grand Slam titles and battling through intense tournaments, the idea of slowing down—even temporarily—may be entering Djokovic’s mind as he manages both his career and his personal life.

As fans wait for further updates on Djokovic’s situation, the tennis world remains hopeful that the Serbian star will find a way to compete in the remaining tournaments and secure his spot at the ATP Finals. However, Djokovic has made it clear that other priorities may come into play as the season winds down.

For now, all eyes are on Djokovic as he navigates this unexpected challenge. Whether or not he qualifies for the ATP Finals, one thing remains certain—Novak Djokovic continues to be a central figure in the sport, and his decisions in the coming weeks will shape the end of the 2024 tennis season.

OMG! 90-Year-Old Celebrates Her Big Birthday By Dropping Everything To See Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ With Granddaughter, Says She’s ‘Still Young At Heart’

A grandmother recently celebrated a milestone birthday by shaking it off at Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”

Nancy Strong is a travel agency CEO from Dallas, Texas, who has been a major “Swiftie” for the past 10 years.

Strong told Fox News Digital this week that her love for the pop star began in 2009 when Kanye West famously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the VMAs.

“She handled that situation with such grace, and I have looked up to her ever since,” she said.

The 90-year-old business owner said she relates to Swift in many ways, despite their roughly 55-year age difference.

“She was brought up in Redding, Pennsylvania, where I raised five boys in the ’60s — [it] will always have a special place in my heart,” she said in an email to Fox News Digital.

For her milestone 90th birthday, Strong said she wanted to celebrate in a big way by seeing Taylor Swift perform on the “Eras Tour.”

She said, “I wanted to celebrate my 90th dancing to Taylor Swift!”

Swift made a stop in Paris, France, earlier this summer — so Strong took her granddaughter, Jennifer Strong, with her to Europe.

Jennifer Strong, 32, told Fox News Digital that experiencing the concert with her grandmother was “pure magic.”

“As with everyone who attends, Grammy was in complete awe of Taylor and couldn’t help but immediately start dancing and singing along,” she said.

She added, “They are truly memories I will cherish forever.”

The pair then made it to one of Swift’s London, England, shows in late June — making Nancy Strong a Swiftie who has seen the singer more than once on the highly sought after tour.

Nancy Strong said her favorite Taylor Swift song is “The Man” from her 2019 “Lover” album due to the relatability she feels with the lyrics.

“I am a woman who started a business in the 1970s in a male-oriented world, ‘wondering if I could get there quicker if I was a man.’ These lyrics really hit home for me,” she told Fox News Digital.

The successful businessperson has also been married to her husband, Ace Strong, for 70 years — and said she likes the “Lover” album as it reminds her of their true love.

“Trust me, I know it’s a lot of years, but at the end of the day, [my] heart is still 20 years old.”

Jennifer Strong said that watching her grandmother listen to “The Man” at the “Eras Tour” was a “full-circle moment.”

“Grammy has always represented to me what it means to be a hardworking, positive, and total boss lady in her industry! (Just like Taylor!),” she said via email.

Nancy Strong said she hopes to attend one of Swift’s U.S. tour dates later this year with her granddaughter.

“I know when Jen [Strong] looks back at our time at ‘The Eras Tour’ concert, she will be grinning from ear to ear — and that fulfills my heart,” she added.

What is Taylor Swift amnesia? Swifties report they can’t remember her concerts for this reason

What is Taylor Swift amnesia? Swifties report they can’t remember her concerts for this reason

Experts reveal why ‘Eras Tour’ concertgoers are experiencing ‘undeniable gaps’ in their memories

Many Swifties are experiencing a post-concert “blank space.”

Fans of international pop star Taylor Swift have reported a lack of memory after attending Eras Tour concerts — with some saying they’re even forgetting chunks of her performance.

Experts at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey researched why concertgoers are experiencing blackouts after their big night out.

Dr. Nathan Carroll, associate chief resident psychiatrist at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center, linked the memory loss after concerts to a neurological condition called transient global amnesia (TGA).

TGA is a “rare phenomenon impacting memory,” the researcher told Fox News Digital.

“Individuals who experience TGA will attend an event (like a concert, wedding or festival) and later report undeniable gaps in their memory,” he said.

This type of memory loss is different from normal forgetfulness, Carroll said.

“For example, during the event, it may look like you’re acting normally and answering questions — but later, you may not recall some of your conversations,” he said.

“Unlike other amnesias, memory loss is very limited, only lasting about a day, and people don’t forget [autobiographical] information.”

TGA can develop due to elevated blood pressure, strenuous physical activity and emotional excitement, which Carroll said are all “theorized to temporarily impair the functioning of the memory center of our brain, the hippocampus.”

“What’s interesting is that the concertgoers are only recognizing the memory loss post-event,” he said.

“Thanks to social media, there’s constant communication and sharing of experiences online, which allows us to notice patterns that we may have otherwise missed.”

“They actually experience TGA during the event but don’t realize it at the time.”

The researchers’ findings suggest that certain risk factors may make Eras Tour concertgoers more susceptible to TGA.

These include lack of sleep, poor hydration, anticipation and pre-existing anxiety or depression, Carroll said.

Environmental risk factors include the intensity of the concert, engagement with the music, crowd-induced excitement and a sense of surprise throughout the event.

Fellow researcher Dr. Soha Salman, attending psychiatrist at Hackensack Jersey Shore University Medical Center, said Taylor Swift isn’t the only pop star who’s causing this impact.

“Because there’s been such an outpouring of reports of this amnesia from the concert, it seems as though it’s specific to Taylor Swift, when that’s not actually the case,” she told Fox News Digital.

“There are similar reports from concert-goers who attended Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ tour this summer, as well as reports from Harry Styles’ concerts,” Salman said.

“Thanks to social media, there’s constant communication and sharing of experiences online, which allows us to notice patterns that we may have otherwise missed.”

But, Salman suggested, it’s understandable that so many Swifties experience this overwhelming phenomenon, as many attendees undergo intense nostalgia due to the Eras Tour’s throwback structure.

“The emotional connection to her music may be one of the reasons fans are experiencing this memory loss,” she said.

Salman also mentioned that a sense of bonding at Taylor Swift’s concerts releases adrenaline and cortisol — both hormones involved in the brain’s memory-making process.

“The connection between heightened emotional states and the release of these hormones is one of the things we are researching further,” she said.

This type of amnesia doesn’t only happen after a concert, but can occur after any “physically exerting or emotionally arousing event,” said Salman.

“We did find in our research that there were reports of people experiencing similar amnesia after attending sporting events and weddings,” the doctor said.

There are no lingering effects or neurological deficits with the condition, Carroll added, which “helps distinguish TGA from more serious health issues that can cause memory loss, such as a stroke.”

“Still, it is best to have a doctor check you out with any notable memory loss,” he said.

A person experiencing TGA will show no signs of distress and will “act, talk and behave normally,” Carroll noted.

It is only “a short time later, when questioned about the event, [that] the person with TGA realizes they have memory gaps,” he said.

“These memory gaps typically go away in about a day.”

TGA is much more common in adults than younger people – typically older than the average age of a “Swiftie,” according to Carroll.

A clinical diagnosis is made based on an exam and symptom screening, he said, though some imaging, such as an MRI, can help confirm the diagnosis if warranted.

While there are no specific methods of preventing TGA, Salman recommended getting enough sleep and staying hydrated before a big event.

“Another proposed mechanism of TGA is elevated blood pressure and the release of stress hormones,” she said. “By being mindful and taking deep breaths throughout the concert, especially during periods of heightened excitement, you can reduce the release of stress hormones.”

Research has revealed that cell phone use also has an impact on memory, so Salman recommended limiting screen time during an event.

“By simultaneously trying to use your phone and watch the concert, you may overtax your working memory and affect your ability to store those specific memories,” she said.

“Studies have also found that when we are recording something with our smartphones, we are relying on them to remember for us,” Salman added. “This could lead to poorer recall of the event later.”

‘She’s real special’: Taylor Swift-inspired corn mazes in Ohio and Maryland go viral

Wheeler Farms in Ohio and Maryland Corn Maze announce Taylor Swift corn maze attractions for fall

Nancy Strong, 90, recently attended two “Eras Tour” concerts in Paris and London to celebrate her milestone birthday. The Dallas, Texas, based business owner went with her family members said it was an experience she will never forget.

Swifties now have an opportunity to check out festive, fall masterpieces inspired by the pop star Taylor Swift.

Two farms in Maryland and Ohio are going viral after photos of detailed Swift-themed corn mazes began to circulate online.

The mazes appear to have people trying to figure out how the intricate designs are laid out, while others are jumping to the conclusion that extraterrestrials are now Swift fans.

Duke Wheeler, manager and owner of Wheeler Farms in Whitehouse, Ohio, has been in the corn maze business for over 20 years and has overrun Wheeler Farms since 1990, he told Fox News Digital.

Wheeler Farms in Ohio has gone after photos of intricate corn mazes inspired by Taylor Swift started circulating online. (Zack Howard Airspace Creative; Wheeler Farms)

Wheeler Farms is traditionally a Christmas tree farm, but staff started creating mazes to fill the time leading up to winter.

“You work hard in the winter, [and then] you don’t have much work. So we got into a facility called the ‘Butterfly House,’ where we import butterflies all over the world, and then from there, we got a cornfield that’s 16 acres, and we started having mazes,” Wheeler said.

Each year, Wheeler Farms will present a new themed corn maze based on what’s popular at the time — from the life cycle of a butterfly to even Sarah Palin.

This year, Wheeler sought advice from his daughter and grandchildren who encouraged him to draw inspiration from Swift.

    “She’s real special,” Wheeler said.

The process that goes into making the detailed design takes time and a lot of corn, he said.

“We plant the corn at a normal time in spring. This year was a little late because of the rains. We had a lot of water here, so we plant it like normal. And then when it’s about 4-to-6 inches tall, we design the maze,” Wheeler said.

“We had an artist draw up [the design] first, and then we use GP coordinates to try to create the paths in the pictures and that’s it. We cut the corn. [We’ve] cut the plants a couple of times in the last two months just so it’s not too high. You know, people like walking in cornstalks.”

Wheeler said that due to heightened interest, he is planning on stepping things up this year and making sure it’s “unbelievable.”

“It’s just being with family and friends and no cell phones and just having fun,” he added.

If you aren’t in the Midwest, but are closer to the East Coast and are hoping for another Swift-themed fall event, consider checking out the Maryland Corn Maze.

Carol Paul, owner of the Maryland Corn Maze, located in Gambrills, Maryland, was also inspired by the Time’s Person of the Year recipient when it came to this year’s corn maze theme.

Carol Paul and her team were inspired by her son's best friend and her daughter-in-law to use Taylor Swift as the main theme for the Maryland Corn Maze.

It was her son’s friend who first proposed the idea of using Swift as the central focus for the maze and, at first, Paul did not think it was the right idea.

“I was really worried at first… [my daughter-in-law] said, ‘She’s the most wholesome thing out there,’ so I started following it, and I was like, ‘I think it’s true. There’s nothing bad out there about her,’” Paul told Fox News Digital.

Paul thought about how much her daughter-in-law loves the pop star and figured that Swift fans might be the perfect audience.

“I started thinking, ‘You know what? It’s [my daughter-in-law’s] age bracket that decides who comes here. It’s the moms who decide, or it’s the girlfriends who decide what they’re doing on the weekend,” Paul said.

Paul consulted with her daughter-in-law to learn everything she could about Swift.

Usually, Paul and her team start thinking of maze ideas about a year before the next season opens, and they need a final design mapped out by February so they can start growing the corn.

“By the end of June, we plant and we always plant just a rectangle, plant the whole field, and then we go in and we use some good old fashioned arithmetic, and we use Jeeps and we spray paint points and we string them and flag them and then we kind of just kill down the corn in those paths,” Paul said.

Paul works with the Utah-based company Maize to turn designs into something that can be turned into a full-scale corn maze.

The Maryland Corn Maze is a full-scale fall festival and to continue with the Swift theme, a singer, Kanin Wren, will come out and perform the artist’s hits for one night.

Paul is even working with concessions to make a lavender lemonade inspired by the singer’s hit “Lavender Haze.”

Paul has had her own fair share of fun, creative corn mazes including a Harry Potter theme.

His usual precision and power were compromised, and each point became a battle not just against his opponent but against his own body. The stadium, filled with thousands of spectators, fell into a tense silence as the world watched one of the greatest athletes struggle in real-time.

After the match, which ended in a devastating loss for Djokovic, the toll of the incident became apparent. Not only was he physically drained, but the emotional burden of the loss weighed heavily on him. As Djokovic left the court, the cameras captured a moment that would soon go viral—a heartbreaking gesture directed toward his wife, Jelena, and their two children, Stefan and Tara.

Djokovic, known for his stoic demeanor, broke down in tears as he approached his family. In a gesture that spoke volumes about his love and devotion, he knelt before his wife and children, placing his hand on his heart and mouthing the words, “I’m sorry.” The raw emotion on his face was a rare sight for fans who are accustomed to seeing Djokovic in control and composed. This moment, however, was different. It was a moment where the line between Novak Djokovic the tennis player and Novak Djokovic the husband and father blurred, revealing the depth of his love for his family.

For Jelena Djokovic, who has been by Novak’s side through countless victories and defeats, the incident was undoubtedly painful. However, it also highlighted the strength of their bond. Jelena, who has always been a pillar of support for her husband, responded to the gesture with grace and understanding. She embraced him, reassuring him that his worth as a husband and father far outweighed the outcome of any match.

Stefan and Tara, though young, are no strangers to the pressures of their father’s career. Growing up in the spotlight, they have witnessed both the highs and lows of Djokovic’s tennis journey. This incident, however, was a stark reminder of the sacrifices their father makes in pursuit of his career and the love he holds for them.

The gesture quickly gained attention across social media and within the tennis community. Fellow players, commentators, and fans alike expressed their support for Djokovic, praising him not just for his incredible athletic abilities but for his humility and love for his family. Many noted that the gesture was a poignant reminder that athletes, despite their superhuman feats, are still human beings with emotions and families who are deeply affected by the highs and lows of their careers.

Tennis legend Roger Federer, a longtime rival and friend of Djokovic, commented on the incident, saying, “Novak has always been a fierce competitor, but this moment showed the world the kind of man he is off the court. It takes a lot of strength to show vulnerability, and I have nothing but respect for him.”

In the days following the incident, Djokovic took to social media to thank his fans for their unwavering support. He acknowledged the difficulty of the situation and expressed his determination to recover and return to the court stronger than ever. “Injuries are a part of this sport, but so is resilience,” Djokovic wrote in an Instagram post. “I am grateful for the love and support of my family, my team, and my fans. I will use this experience to grow, both as a player and as a person.”

Djokovic’s team later confirmed that he would be taking a short break from the tour to focus on his recovery. While the injury was serious, they assured fans that it was not career-threatening and that Djokovic was already making strides in his rehabilitation.

Novak Djokovic’s career has been defined by his relentless pursuit of excellence. However, this incident served as a reminder that even the greatest athletes face challenges that test their limits. Djokovic’s heartbreaking gesture to his family in the aftermath of the incident was a powerful reminder of the love and sacrifice that often goes unnoticed in the world of professional sports.

As Djokovic embarks on his road to recovery, fans and fellow players alike will undoubtedly continue to support him, not just as a tennis champion but as a devoted husband and father. His ability to balance the demands of his career with his commitment to his family is a testament to his character and will continue to inspire many, both on and off the court.

In the end, while the incident was undoubtedly a setback, it also highlighted the qualities that have made Novak Djokovic one of the most beloved figures in sports—his resilience, his humility, and his unwavering love for his family. And as he prepares to make his return to the court, one thing is certain: Novak Djokovic’s story is far from over.

Bon Jovi: A look at the iconic rock band then and now

A look back at the iconic making of Bon Jovi

Since forming in 1983, Bon Jovi has had an incredible career, spanning three decades.

With a number of accolades, including a Grammy under their belt, the band was still hitting the road as of late. They are currently on a North American tour.  However, the band took a pause on Sunday, after it was revealed that their former bassist had died.

Here’s a look at the iconic rock band through the years.

    The Wild Ones

John Francis Bongiovi Jr., known professionally as Jon Bon Jovi, and keyboard player David Bryan began playing music together in New Jersey as the band called Atlantic City Expressway in the early ‘70s. Jon formed a few other groups through the years and recorded his first single, “Runaway,” in 1980 with studio musicians before re-recording the song for a compilation album on local New York station, WAPP 103.5FM “The Apple.”

As the song picked up plays on radio airwaves in 1983, Jovi used the opportunity to put a full band together. He enlisted the help of Bryan who reached out to bassist Alec John Such and also knew drummer Tico Torres, while Jon scouted out local guitarist Richie Sambora — a hometown performer recommended by Such and Torres.

Bryan had been pursuing music at the Juilliard School at the time, and completely quit college to follow Jovi’s lead and create a band unlike anything anyone had ever heard before.

The guys were signed by Mercury Records and recorded their self-titled debut album with mega-manager Doc McGhee (who worked with Kiss, Mötley Crüe and Skid Row) in 1984, which included “Runaway,” and peaked at No. 43 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Their second album, 7800° Fahrenheit, was released in 1985 and went certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), but didn’t meet the band’s high expectations for a sophomore catalog. The new music did allow Bon Jovi to continue touring around the world, and also perform at the first Farm Aid in 1985.

    “Livin on a Prayer”

Bon Jovi began to stray from heavy metal and worked with songwriter extraordinaire Desmond Child to create a more mainstream sound for their third album, Slippery When Wet, which was released in 1986 and became an instant commercial success.

With classic hits including, “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” and “Livin on a Prayer,” the album spent eight weeks at the No. 1 spot on the US Billboard 200 chart and was named the top-selling album of 1987 — cementing the band’s rock star status in stone.

“Slippery When Wet” is still Bon Jovi’s best-selling album to date, and has earned RIAA 12 times platinum certification, making it one of the top 100 best-selling albums in the United States.

They spent the year touring on behalf of the album and headlined 130 shows on the “Tour Without End,” which grossed more than $28 million.

Their fourth album was released in September 1988, titled New Jersey, and peaked at No. 1 on the charts in the US, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK, and Australia.

New Jersey produced five Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Bad Medicine” and “I’ll Be There for You,” both of which reached No. 1 on the charts. The music video for “Living in Sin” was banned by MTV for sexual content and had to be re-edited before appearing in heavy rotation on the network.

They visited 22 countries and performed in more than 230 shows on a worldwide tour from 1989 through 1990 until going on hiatus where Jon and Richie both released successful solo albums.

Jon married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, at the Graceland Wedding Chapel, in Las Vegas during a stop on the New Jersey tour, and the couple now has four children together.

    Keep the Faith

Unhappy with the music industry, Jon fired his longtime business advisers, including McGhee in 1991, and formed Bon Jovi Management. The band changed directions once again with a more serious pop-metal approach, and worked with Metallica and Aerosmith producer Bob Rock on their fifth album, Keep the Faith, in 1992.

They followed with the greatest hits album in 1994 titled Cross Road, which included the tracks “Always” and “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night.” “Always” became Bon Jovi’s best-selling single and topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for six months.

But things were not going well for the band outside of music, and Alec John Such left the group in 1994. Jon said at the time: “Of course it hurts. But I learned to accept and respect it. The fact that I’m a workaholic, studio in, studio out, stage on, stage off, want to be dealing with music day and night, doesn’t mean everyone else has to adjust to that pace. Alec wanted to quit for a while now, so it didn’t come as a complete surprise.”

Bon Jovi recorded “These Days” in 1995 and went on 126-show tour before returning home and agreeing to a self-imposed two-year sabbatical from the group.

    “Wanted Dead or Alive”

Five years after their last group effort, Bon Jovi released “Crush” in June 2000 through Island Records, and became the first Bon Jovi album ever to be nominated for a Grammy award with “It’s My Life” becoming one of the group’s most successful songs to date.

They entered the studio again in spring 2002 and began recording their eighth studio album “Bounce,” which was influenced by the September 11 terrorist attacks.

“Have a Nice Day” was released in September 2005 and featured “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and earned Bon Jovi the “Best Country Collaboration with Vocals” Grammy award with Jennifer Nettles in February 2007.

A tour to accompany the catalog was a commercial success and grossed $191 million with the group playing to more than two million fans between 2005-2006.

The Lost Highway Tour, which began in October 2007 and ran through July 2008, was the highest-grossing tour of 2008 with ticket sales of $210 million.

Jon and Richie were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June 2009, and released their eleventh studio album with the band that same year, The Circle.

Forbes listed Jon as one of the world’s highest paid musicians, raking in approximately $125 million in 2011. At one point, Jon owned a professional arena football team in Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Soul, and was ranked one of “The Most Powerful and Influential People in the Music Business.”

Sambora reportedly missed portions of the 2007 tour for a rehab stint following the end of his marriage to Heather Locklear. He returned for treatment once again in 2011 to address addiction issues.

    “I’ll Be There For You”

In 2013, Sambora made the difficult decision to leave the band, which he later admitted was solely out of needing time to be with his family. Sambora and Locklear have a daughter named Ava.

He credited Bon Jovi’s intense tour schedule with barely being able to get face time with his family, and he said life on the road simply wasn’t sustainable.

“Luckily I was making enough money to be able to have a private plane, get my a– home and see my kid even if it was only for one day. If it was Halloween, it was boom, home,” he told People magazine in 2020.

“When I look back and start to list the tours… 18-and-a-half months of being on the road, 52 countries… It’s like, wow. It was really time for a break. We did that 14 times over a 31-year period,” he said.

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 after earning the spot by winning the fan ballot with more than one million votes. Howard Stern gave the speech at the ceremony, and Jon invited Sambora and Such to perform with the band.

Jon revealed the band was recording its 15th studio album to be released in 2020, with an accompanying self-titled tour, which had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour was later canceled and the album was released in October. On Jan. 7, the band announced the tour would begin again in April with shows across the country.

But the group hit a tragic note when Bon Jovi announced the death of Alec John Such, who died at the age of 70, on June 5.

“We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Alec John Such,” Bon Jovi posted on their Twitter account Sunday.

“He was an original. As a founding member of Bon Jovi, Alec was integral to the formation of the band. … To be honest, we found our way to each other thru him — He was a childhood friend of Tico [Torres] and brought Richie [Sambora] to see us perform. Alec was always wild and full of life. Today these special memories bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. We will miss him dearly.”

Tributes came pouring in on social media for the rock star, who has shared the stage with legendary musicians alike throughout a decades-long career, with Jon sharing the band’s tweet to his own account: “Alec, you will be missed.”

David Bryan wrote: “RIP my soul brother…. It was an honor and pleasure to share the stage and to share life with you…..”

Such played in The Message in the early ‘80s with Sambora before joining Bon Jovi. He left the group in 1994 due to feeling “burned out,” but reunited with the band for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2018.

“When Jon Bon Jovi called me up and asked me to be in his band many years ago, I soon realized how serious he was, and he had a vision that he wanted to bring us to, and I am too happy to have been a part of that vision,” he said.

He continued: “These guys are the best. We had so many great times together and we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for those guys. Love them to death and always will.”
