Joy Behar snaps at Chris Christie to ‘shut up,’ audience groans as he refuses to endorse Kamala Harris on The View (HG)

“The View” audience audibly reacted to Christie’s refusal to endorse Harris following Tuesday night’s debate.

Joy Behar’s blossoming friendship with her one-time enemy Chris Christie reached a new milestone of tension on live TV, when The View cohost reacted to the former governor of New Jersey’s refusal to endorse Kamala Harris following Tuesday night’s presidential debate.

The moment came as the group discussed undecided voters heading into the November election, with Behar, 81, asking Christie, 62, if Harris’ performance was “going to move the needle” or not for Americans who, before the debate, hadn’t yet backed either Harris or Donald Trump.

“You think you’re going to vote for her now? You were an undecided voter,” Sunny Hostin, 55, asked.

Christie confirmed that he’s “still an undecided voter,” and Behar snapped at the reply.

“Oh, shut up!” Behar said. “Oh, stop it! Boo!”

ABC Joy Behar tells Chris Christie to ‘shut up’ on ‘The View’

The show’s in-studio audience also jeered at Christie’s response, prompting moderator Whoopi Goldberg to address the crowd. “Hold up, hold up, hold up,” Goldberg said, opening her arms and turning toward the audience to calm them down.

“I understand you all want me to make some big announcement, but what I will say to you is Donald Trump is not who i’m voting for, you can take that to the bank,” Christie added, while Behar smiled and attempted to hold a side conversation with him as Goldberg attempted to throw the show to a commercial break.

“Joy, hold up!” Goldberg said to Behar, cutting off their chat so she could send the segment off. “Our thanks to Chris Christie. We’ll be right back!”

Since he and Behar put their past feud behind them, Christie has been a regular guest on The View, with his appearances often making headlines for the group’s spirited discussions with the politician.

On a January episode of the show, Christie scolded 35-year-old cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin at the table for “insulting” his supporters with one of her political projections, while Behar later said on the show’s companion podcast Behind the Table that she ultimately forgave her “brutal” feud with Christie because he’s now an enemy of Trump.

It’s official:Taylor Swiftis the artist of the year!

At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday, Sept. 11, the pop superstar, 34, took home the moon person for artist of the year, beating out Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Eminem and SZA.

While the awards show took place at New York’s UBS Arena, Swift’s latest victory was announced during a commercial break. She also led this year in nominations with a total of 12 mostly for “Fortnight,” her Tortured Poets Department single featuring Post Malone. The hit song’s accompanying video starred Dead Poets Society’s Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles.

So far, Swift has taken home the trophies for best collaboration, best pop, song of the summer, best direction and best editing — all thanks to her milestone year and the black-and-white “Fortnight” video.

Malone, 29, and Swift accepted the best collaboration award together at the top of the show, when Swift thanked the 10-time Grammy nominee for his contributions to the duet and used the “opportunity to thank and honor the people who worked so hard with me on this video.”

“There is a very clear reason why Post Malone is everyone in music’s favorite person to collaborate with,” Swift said. “It is because you are so ridiculously talented. You are so versatile, and you’re the most down-to-earth person.”

Malone, who was at “an absolute loss for words,” raved about his collaborator and “the amount of work and care and love that she puts into everything she does” during their time on stage together.

It was a massive night for Taylor as she earned seven awards total

Swift has also been an active participant in the crowd at the UBS Arena throughout the night, dancing along to performances from the likes of Karol G and Katy Perry. At one point, she could be seen singing along to “Teenage Dream” beside pal Suki Waterhouse, before jamming out to “E.T.” and “California Gurls.”

She was recognized for her collab with Post Malone titled Fortnight who also joined her on stage along with her team

Whoopi Goldberg Says No One Should Be Surprised Beyoncé Was ‘Snubbed’ by 2024 CMA Awards (HG)

‘The View’ moderator shared her thoughts on Beyoncé’s lack of nominations for the superstar’s debut country album ‘Cowboy Carter’

Beyoncé fans may have been disappointed by the superstar’s lack of nominations for Cowboy Carter at the 2024 CMA Awards, but Whoopi Goldberg says she doesn’t understand the fuss.

“A lot of people are surprised — I don’t know why — that it didn’t receive a single CMA Award nomination. Well, this is the question: Are you surprised?” Goldberg, 68, said on the September 10 episode of The View. “I don’t think she was snubbed, I think they just didn’t… it wasn’t for them.”

Beyoncé’s debut country album boasted one of the year’s biggest hit singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Cowboy Carter also featured collaborations with contemporary country artists like Malone and Shaboozey along with one of the genre’s pioneers, Linda Martell.

Cowboy Carter, which was released March 29, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and made Beyoncé the first Black woman to top the Hot Country Albums chart. The singer also earned top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with a cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” as well as “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus.

Fellow View panelist Sunny Hostin said she was dismayed that Beyoncé was left off the CMA Awards nominations list — particularly after Parton appeared on Cowboy Carter to introduce “Jolene.”

“I happen to love Dolly Parton, so I felt that when the Queen of Country sort of passed the baton a little bit for ‘Jolene,’ which was an incredible song on her album, and ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ two incredible country songs, I thought she would at least get nominated for those two,” Hostin, 55, said. “But, my mother always told me, ‘Find the audience that’s looking for you.’ This audience isn’t looking for her.”

But Goldberg has consistently rejected the notion of “snubs” in entertainment awards. In January, when Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig were passed over for Oscar nominations for Barbie, she made her thoughts clear.

“There are no snubs. That’s what you have to keep in mind: Not everybody gets a prize, and it is subjective. Movies are subjective,” Goldberg said on The View at the time. “The movies you love may not be loved by the people who are voting.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Justin Timberlake is scheduled to enter a new plea Friday in his drunken driving case in New York’s Hamptons, prosecutors said. Details of the plea weren’t disclosed, but a person with knowledge of the deal said Timberlake has agreed to plead guilty to a less serious offense than the original charge of driving while intoxicated.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke, declined to comment.

The pop singer is set to appear in person on Friday in Sag Harbor Village Court to enter a plea, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney’s office confirmed Wednesday.

Timberlake was arrested in the village of Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island, on June 18 after police said he ran a stop sign in the village center, veered out of his lane and got out of his BMW smelling of alcohol. The 43-year-old Tennessee native pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.

At a hearing last month, a judge suspended Timberlake’s right to drive in New York.

His lawyer, Burke, has maintained that Timberlake was not drunk and that the case should be dropped.

Timberlake was pulled over after leaving a Sag Harbor hotel around 12:30 a.m., according to police.

“His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” police said in a court filing.

Timberlake told the officer he had had one martini and was following some friends home, according to police. He was arrested and spent the night in custody at a police station.

The boy band singer-turned-solo star and actor’s agent and other representatives didn’t immediately respond to emails seeking comment Wednesday.

A 10-time Grammy winner, Timberlake began performing as a young Disney Mouseketeer, rose to fame as part of the boy band NSYNC and embarked on a solo recording career in the early 2000s.

Sag Harbor is a one-time whaling village mentioned in Herman Melville’s classic novel “Moby-Dick” that’s nestled amid the Hamptons, around 100 miles (160 kilometers) east of New York City.

Justin Timberlake is nearing a resolution in his driving while intoxicated case, months after he was arrested in the Hamptons in June.

The “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and “Mirrors” pop star is expected to enter a plea during a Friday hearing where he is set to appear in-person at New York’s Sag Harbour Court, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to The Times. The singer, 43, agreed to plead guilty to a less serious offense than his original driving while intoxicated charge, the Associated Press reported.

Timberlake’s attorney Edward Burke Jr. did not comment to The Times.

The 10-time Grammy Award winner was arraigned June 18 in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court, on the eastern end of Long Island. The musician allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struggled to stay in his lane while driving, the Sag Harbor Police Department said. He pleaded not guilty.

Police described Timberlake during the arrest as having “bloodshot and glassy” eyes with a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath, according to court papers obtained by The Times. Police said the singer also had slowed speech and performed poorly on sobriety tests.

Timberlake, amid his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, was released on his own recognizance.

A month after his arrest, lawyer Burke denied his client was intoxicated when he was stopped and alleged there were errors with officials’ arrest documents. In response, a spokesperson for the district attorney told AP, “We stand ready to litigate the underlying facts of this case in court, rather than in the press.”

Days after his arrest, the former ‘N Sync frontman got candid with fans at a Chicago concert, telling them “it’s been a tough week.”

“Nothing can change this moment right now,” the singer said in June. “I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back. Thank you so much.”

Timberlake continues his Forget Tomorrow tour later this month with a stop at New Jersey’s Prudential Center. He is slated to play shows in Toronto, Detroit, Orlando and Atlanta, among other cities, before the end of the year.

Taylor recognized her boyfriend of nearly a year Travis and his contribution to the music video during her speech as she said: ‘And you know, the things that this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it was like the most fun video to make and something I will always remember is that when I would finish I take and I would say cut and we’d be done with the take, I would always just here someone cheering and like woo from across the studio where we were shooting it and that one person was my boyfriend Travis.’

‘Everything this man touches turns into happiness and find a magic so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I will always remember that,’ she said.

Earlier in the night Taylor was the first artist to take home the coveted Moon Person.

The megastar star earned the win in the Best Collab category alongside Post Malone at the MTV VMAs 2024 on Wednesday night.

She began her acceptance speech by saying: ‘Thank you so much to MTV for believing in my weirdness from day one, and for being such a pivotal teacher to so many generations that an artist’s there are so many things that have to align to have a long and successful career as an artist. There are no decades-long accidents.’

Emotional: Kate Middleton is ‘cancer-free’ after ‘extremely difficult’ battle

Kate Middleton has completed her chemotherapy treatment for cancer.

The mother of three took to social media on Monday to share the update on her health.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” the 42-year-old wrote. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” she shared. “With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved. Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus.”

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” the princess continued. “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.

“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus.”

    — Catherine, Princess of Wales

“William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

In January, Kate underwent a planned abdominal surgery, which sparked speculation concerning her health. In March, Kate announced in a video that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was receiving chemotherapy.

The princess has kept a low profile throughout the year to focus on her recovery. She was only seen in an official capacity twice – on June 15 for Trooping the Colour and on July 14 at Wimbledon.

In June, Kate admitted in a statement that while she has “good days,” chemotherapy also brought on tough days too. She also noted that her work brought her “a deep sense of joy.”

According to People magazine, Kate quietly worked from Adelaide Cottage during the summer. The outlet shared that she had regular meetings with private secretary Tom White, assistant private secretary Natalie Burrows and the Prince and Prince of Wales’ communications secretary, Lee Thompson. They collaborated on plans for the future that focused on her causes.

On Sept. 8, the U.K. Sunday Times reported that Kate hoped to “potentially” join the rest of the royal family and pay tribute to fallen service members on Remembrance Sunday. This year, it falls on Nov. 10.

Kensington Palace told People magazine that Kate has already started planning her annual holiday carol concert in December. A spokesperson from the palace did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Prince William spent the summer with his wife and their three children. They primarily stayed at Anmer Hall, their country home, and Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where King Charles hosted the royal family. Kate was photographed on Aug. 25 heading to church at Crathie Kirk.

The Prince of Wales, 42, returned to royal duties on Sept. 5. It was the same week the children went back to school.

Prince William has warned that Kate Middleton has “a long way to go” after declaring she is “cancer-free” and making further comments about his wife’s condition.

Prince William made a public appearance in Wales on Tuesday, following a surprise announcement from his wife Kate Middleton on Monday that she is “cancer free.”

The future heir to the British royal throne visited with children at the Swiss Valley Community Primary School in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, but made time to indulge the masses outside who were eager to speak with him.

The prince also spoke with the media, providing his opinion on Princess Catherine’s health revelation.

“It’s good news, but there is still a long way to go,” he reportedly told the press, per the BBC.

The prince’s cautionary response comes a day after Middleton released a 3-minute video featuring her husband and three children, where she spoke about her ongoing cancer battle.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown,” she said, over imagery of her family enjoying the outdoors. “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.”

“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved,” she continued.

“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can,”

In May, Middleton attended the Trooping the Colour ceremony, her first major royal event since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.

In the video, Middleton said she and Prince William “are so grateful for the support” they’d received during this period of time. “Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.”

“To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

In March, the Princess of Wales announced in a pre-recorded message that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. The palace previously shared in January that the Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery.

Middleton has not publicly disclosed what kind of cancer she was diagnosed with.

Calls Mount For WNBA Commissioner’s Firing After Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Comments

The rookie rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has brought attention on the WNBA to new heights in the 2024 season.

    usatsi_23033872

While this rivalry has come with a lot of good for the growth of the league, it’s also brought out the ugly side of these star players’ two feuding fanbases.

During her recent appearance on CNBC’s Power Lunch, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert was asked about the increase of racist, sexist and homophobic vitriol on social media — specifically in reference to the rivalry between Clark and Reese.

Instead of denouncing the racism, sexism and homophobia being directed toward her players, Engelbert instead chose to speak about the league’s increased cultural impact and money-making opportunities.

“There’s no more apathy. Everybody cares. It is a little bit of that Bird-Magic moment if you recall, from 1979,” Engelbert said. “When those two rookies came in from a big college rivalry, one white, one black. And so we have that moment with these two.

“But the one thing I know about sports, you need rivalry,” Engelbert added. “That’s what makes people watch, They want to watch games of consequence between rivals. They don’t want everybody being nice to one another.”

WNBA fans and players are not happy with this response. Some are even calling for Engelbert’s dismissal as the league’s commissioner.

“Serious question: How is Cathy Engelbert able to keep her job? What has she done to elevate the WNBA? They asked her about racism and sexism. She responded with verbal garbage that highlighted rivalry and endorsements. She needs to go ASAP and is a part of the problem,” one wrote.

“Like many of us have been saying, the @WNBA is complicit in pushing the rhetoric this season without regard for the players, their safety, or their mental health. The players are people, not just a product. Shame on Cathy Engelbert and everyone involved,” another added.

“Cathy Engelbert is a terrible commissioner who clearly has no plan to protect players in the league and is mentally stuck in 1979,” another said.

“Cathy Englebert should not be the commissioner of this league… There’s been so many indications before but being asked about racism and saying it’s makes a good rivalry and its good for marketing is insane…” another wrote.

Engelbert has been WNBA commissioner since 2019.
