Kate Middleton’s adorable nickname for her youngest child, Prince Louis, made its way into her most recent video message about her health.

On Sept. 9, the Princess of Wales, 42, released a three-minute video clip where she shared that she had completed chemotherapy, delivering the message over footage of herself and her family in Norfolk — a favorite place to retreat for the Wales family of five. The family’s country home, Anmer Hall, is located there, and the video was shot by Will Warr in Norfolk in August.

As the video opens — and just before Kate begins delivering a powerful update on her cancer treatment — she can be seen walking through a wooded area with her husband Prince William and kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. It’s Louis who is out front ahead of the pack — and viewers listening closely can hear Kate say, “Lou Bug, you lead the way!”

Immediately after saying these words, Kate’s voiceover begins, where she shares that “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she said. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

At the start of the video, Louis walks ahead of his parents and two siblings, throwing a ball as they venture through the woods. Later on in the video, Louis can be seen being pushed by his mom on a swing, and viewers can even hear his voice in the clip as he leans into the camera and says, “Hello, hello.”

The Sept. 9 video wasn’t the first time Kate used the “Lou Bug” nickname while in public. On May 8, 2023, while taking part in his first royal engagement, Louis joined his family for The Big Help Out event in Slough. The family of five joined the 3rd Upton Scout Troop for the occasion just two days after King Charles’ coronation, and at one point took part in toasting marshmallows together to make s’mores.

“Pop that in the fire, Lou Bug,” Kate could be heard saying as she told her youngest to discard a stick in the fire.

That same day, Louis shoveled sand into a wheelbarrow and pushed the wheelbarrow over to other volunteers as his mom stood close by, encouraging him.

“Well done, good job Lou Bug,” Kate said to Louis, who had just turned 5 at the time.

“Louis was very enthusiastic and did a good job,” said Anne Edwards, an adult Scout helper who worked with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to paint cinder blocks to support wooden planters at the engagement.

She told PEOPLE at the time, “He was determined to do it all by himself, and he managed to dig the whole paintbrush in, flick it up, and managed to cover quite a few of us in paint!” Laughing, she added, “He was doing a good job!”

Edwards added that Princess Charlotte kept an eye on her younger brother the entire time — much like she did two days prior during the coronation ceremony.

“She was advising him, obviously! ‘Don’t do that, Louis!’ — things like that,” Edwards said. She added of the three kids, “They were very relaxed and joining in, like normal kids. That was what was really nice about it.”

“Lou Bug” isn’t the only nickname that Princess Kate and Prince William, 42, are known to call their kids. In a 2019 video from Kensington Palace, the family of five attended the Chelsea Flower Show, and Prince William called out for his only daughter — but didn’t refer to her as Charlotte. Instead, he referred to her as “Mignonette,” a French word that means “small, sweet and delicate” or “cute.” As for Kate, she calls her daughter “Lottie,” and during a 2018 visit to Leicester, it was revealed that Prince George calls his dad “Pops.”

Following a planned abdominal surgery in January, Kate revealed in a much more somber video message on March 22 that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Nearly six months later, the news was much better for her Sept. 9 health update.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” Kate said, likely referring to her husband and three kids. “With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

She continued, “This time has, above all, reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”

Whoopi Goldberg immediately regretted the words that came out of her mouth on this morning’s episode of The View, and took them back just seconds after she uttered them. While discussing how vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance reacted to Taylor Swift‘s VMAs speech about voting, Goldberg let her emotions get the better of her.

While accepting the “Video of the Year” award, Swift — who recently endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris — told the audience to register to vote, saying, in part, “If you are over 18, please register to vote for something else that’s very important … [the] presidential election.”

Vance responded to Swift’s remarks in an interview with FOX yesterday, a portion of which The View played for its audience. Vance told the network that “most Americans” would not be “influenced by a billionaire celebrity who is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and the problems of most Americans.”

He continued, “When grocery prices go up by 20%, it hurts most Americans. It doesn’t hurt Taylor Swift. When housing prices become unaffordable, it doesn’t affect Taylor Swift or any other billionaire. It does affect middle class Americans all over our country.”

When the clip concluded, Goldberg was visibly annoyed by the Ohio politician’s words.

“You don’t know what affects her. You don’t know about her money,” she exclaimed, before adding, “Shut up, J.D.”

Gearing up for tonight’s MTV Europe Music Awards, the 22-year-old redhead surprised Bon Jovi fans by joining the band in the middle of a performance of  their classic hit Livin’ On A Prayer.

Wearing a see-through red dress, the pop princess got the crowd going and a smiling Jon Bon Jovi, the band’s lead singer, couldn’t get enough of the collaboration at a Pre-EMA party last night in Madrid, Spain.

Talking about the record, which is Rihanna’s fifth studio album, she said: ‘Overall, I would say that the album is the most true Rihanna album, in terms of the sound and the energy and the look and the vibe of it, and the lyrics and the West Indian twang.’

Democrats are going all in on Taylor Swift’s support for Kamala Harris.

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, Swift, 34, officially endorsed Vice President Harris in the 2024 presidential race following the first debate between Harris and former president Donald Trump. Now, the Democratic National Committee is using the singer’s discography for witty campaign billboards that will be posted in New York City and Las Vegas, beginning on Friday, Sept. 13.

The Times Square digital billboard includes the phrase “We’re in our Kamala era,” a play on the title of Swift’s Eras Tour. It also features another image utilizing Swift’s hit song “…Ready for It,” from her 2017 Reputation album, with the phrase “A New Way Forward… Ready for It?”

The New York City ads will be placed 22 stories above the red steps in Times Square and feature a rotation of the two Swift-inspired images. (The placement of the NYC ads also seems to cheekily reference two of Swift’s hit songs “22” and “Red” from her 2012 album, Red.)

There are also two ads for Las Vegas billboards. One is a photo of Harris, 59, with the text, “We’re in our Kamala era,” and another shows a picture of Trump, 78, that reads “Exhausted with this guy?”

The Las Vegas billboard will be on the Las Vegas strip in time for Trump’s upcoming rally on Sept. 13.

“As we drive the contrast between Vice President Harris’ New Way Forward and Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda, which would rip away reproductive rights and rig the economy against working families, we’re reminding voters that it is critical to speak now to dump Trump and enter our Kamala era by visiting IWillVote.com and doing their research on how, where, and when to vote in this election,” DNC communications director Rosemary Boeglin said in a statement.

The recent campaign efforts follow Swift’s Tuesday endorsement, shared in an Instagram post.

“If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most,” the Grammy winner wrote. “As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”

Swift then referenced the fake A.I. images that falsely showed her endorsing Trump, who shared them himself on Truth Social.

“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” Swift continued. “It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.” Adding, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

Swift signed her post as “Childless Cat Lady,” a reference to controversial 2021 comments made by Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance.

Kim’s Skims campaign caused a stir as it featured Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and his wife Brittany Mahomes, with their kids, Sterling, two, and 11-month-old Bronze.

It came just weeks after Taylor went public about her romance with Patrick’s Kansas Chief teammate, Travis Kelce.

The pop icon is known to be friends with Brittany, 28.

“Promoting Skims while being friends with Taylor doesn’t sit right with me,” one fan wrote about Brittany.

Another added: “100% never supporting anything a Kardashian does. And Kim is so desperate to get at Taylor, it’s laughable.”

Psychologist Jo Hemmings claimed Taylor’s fans would be suspicious of Kim.

She said the Hulu star is doing whatever it takes to stay influential.

During her marriage with Kanye West, Kim was widely considered the most famous woman on the planet.

But a study by Authority Hacker, published last week, named Swift the most influential celebrity in America, suggesting she’s stolen Kim’s crown.

“Kim is also trying to prove that she is more influential than Taylor.

“Kim’s feud with Taylor goes back 14 years and is still without any resolution,” she said.

“It looks like Kim started copying Taylor to annoy her further by wearing similar clothes and playing her music.

“This tactic of revenge is done without words. It has been done on her socials or in public settings.”

She added: “Taylor may be wondering what is coming up next or where and when this will all stop.”

TMZ reported on Wednesday that the singer will avoid a drunk driving charge after he agreed to plead guilty to a traffic violation.

Timberlake will admit to Driving While Ability Impaired, instead of the original DWI charge, which has been dropped. He will pay a $300 to $500 fine as part of the agreement.

An important component to the deal, sources told DailyMail.com, is Timberlake’s willingness to do a public service video for the organization Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

A judge will decide the exact amount of the fine on Friday when the deal is brought before the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court.

The plea bargain deal that was struck by Timberlake’s attorney, Eddie Burke Jr., and the Suffolk County district attorney’s office guarantees that Timberlake will leave Sag Harbor on Friday without a criminal record.

Burke Jr. has repeatedly denied his client was drunk when he was arrested.

Timberlake will still have his New York drivers license suspended for six months because he refused to take a Breathalyzer test when he was pulled over.

The pop star was arrested in the early hours of June 18 following a night out with friends in the exclusive Hamptons enclave of Sag Harbor.

He was pulled over after he ran a stop sign while behind the wheel of his BMW X7, police said.

Local officers reportedly followed the pop star and observed him swerving across the road, forcing cops to pull him over.
