A new detail has been revealed about Selena Quintanilla and Chris Pérez’s love story.

In Selena y Los Dinos, which premiered at SXSW on Wednesday, March 10, Pérez recounts his love story with the late Mexican-American singer, who was known as Selena, and revealed the letter in which she wanted to “feel out” his thoughts on marriage.

“I never liked the whole secret thing from the beginning. I always wanted Abraham’s respect,” Pérez says in the documentary of Selena’s father, who didn’t approve of their relationship. “It was always a sticky situation until Abraham found out.”

When he did find out, Pérez — who was her guitar player — was kicked out of the band.

“I remember being really sad because we couldn’t be on the road together anymore,” he says. “It was going to be tough for Selena and I to see each other and be together. We kind of lived that life for a few months.”

Over time, they would write letters to each other. In the documentary, Pérez reads one of those letters out loud.

“Gosh Chris, I’ve been so out of it lately it’s pathetic. I’m going crazy, I swear. I wish that everyone would leave me alone and can’t they see I love you. Maybe they think I’m playing games or something,” Pérez reads.

He continues, “I’m sorry for freaking you out about wanting to get married, but I guess I’m feeling you out, trying to figure out what or should I say how much you love me. Remember I’ll always and forever love you, and I miss you more as every second goes by. I love you always, Selena.”

Shortly after, Pérez takes a long pause and grows emotional as he stares down at the handwritten letter.

Then, discussing their relationship further, Pérez recalls there was a “knock on the door” one day and it was Selena. She said to him, “Let’s go get married.”

Pérez initially said “no, not like this” because he wanted her to get married with her parents’ support. However, at that moment, his “love for her was enough,” and they eloped on April 2, 1992.

The later singer’s father says he was “hurt” that they went off and got married but over time realized that “Chris is a good guy.”

Selena was only 23 years old when she was fatally shot by Yolanda Saldívar, the former president of Selena’s fan club and manager of the singer’s clothing boutiques. At the time, Selena’s career was still reaching new heights.

In 2021, Pérez appeared in a documentary episode of True Hollywood Story: Death of Innocence and he told E! Entertainment that her death was the “hardest thing” he ever had to deal with, and the loss still affects him today.

“I miss her face, her laughter. She was just an amazing soul, an amazing spirit,” he told the outlet.

“She taught me a lot. I used to never tell people I love them … or I miss them, or just give them gifts just because,” he added. “I learned those things and many, many other things from her.”

“Fox News CRUSHES C/N/N & M/S/N/B/C in Ratings War—Total Domination!”

There has been a lot of competition in the    TV news world this year, but Fox News has once again come out on top. New numbers show that Fox News has beaten out MSNBC and CNN to become the premier news network. This is the third-highest-rated year in the history of cable news. In both primetime and total day ratings, Fox News drew in a huge crowd.

So, what makes Fox News different from other news groups? Its unique ability to appeal to a wide range of people is the answer. Nielsen/MRI Fusion statistics shows that more Democrats, Independents, and Republicans watch Fox News than any other network. Younger people are also interested in Fox News; adults aged 25 to 54 are the biggest listeners in this age group.

It’s easy to see why Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott is proud of what the network has done in 2022. She says that their success is due to the fact that they have unique news and opinion shows that appeal to a wide range of cable news viewers. This is supported by the fact that Fox News has a huge 53% share of people aged 25 to 54 during the day and evening.

One of the best shows on Fox News is “The Five.” This groundbreaking show made history when it became the first non-primetime    television show to have the most viewers for a whole year. In 2022, when it aired at 5 PM ET, “The Five” had an amazing 3,432,000 viewers, more than any other daytime or evening show on CNN or MSNBC.

“The Five’s” success comes from its unique structure and wide range of hosts. The show’s lively arguments and educational segments keep viewers interested, making it a must-see for cable news fans. Because it gets so many viewers, “The Five” has become one of the most popular news shows on TV.

It’s not a surprise that Fox News is so successful; the network works hard to make unique, interesting shows about a lot of different topics. Fox News keeps solidifying its place as the best cable news network, drawing viewers from all political parties. Fox News is set to provide even more interesting material in the years to come thanks to its high ratings and wide range of viewers.

  • “I Don’t Need a Man’s Approval” – Kysre Gondrezick Gets Real About Dating, Standards, and Self-Worth

“I Don’t Need a Man’s Approval” – Kysre Gondrezick Gets Real About Dating, Standards, and Self-Worth

“I Don’t Need a Man’s Approval” – Kysre Gondrezick Gets Real About Dating, Standards, and Self-Worth

Kysre Gondrezick isn’t holding back. The former WNBA star and ex-girlfriend of NBA player Jaylen Brown has made it clear that when it comes to dating, she refuses to compromise on her standards. In a world where women are often expected to seek validation from men, she’s flipping the script and standing firmly in her power.

In a recent interview, Gondrezick shared her unapologetic take on relationships, explaining what she looks for in a partner—and more importantly, what she absolutely won’t tolerate. Her words struck a chord with many, sparking a heated discussion about self-worth, expectations, and modern dating.

    Breaking Free from Societal Norms

“I’ve never been the type to seek approval from a man,” Gondrezick said confidently. “Why would I? My worth isn’t tied to whether a man validates me or not.”

In a culture that often conditions women to shape their lives around male expectations, her stance is refreshing. Many women are taught from a young age that they must adjust their personalities, appearances, and ambitions to be more “desirable.” But for Gondrezick, that idea is outdated and, frankly, unacceptable.

“Any man who’s intimidated by my independence isn’t a man I want to be with anyway,” she added.

Her perspective reflects a growing shift in modern relationships, where women are prioritizing their own happiness and success instead of trying to fit into outdated gender roles.

    Her Non-Negotiables in Dating

When asked about her deal-breakers, Gondrezick didn’t hesitate.

WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick, Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown call it quits - NewsBreak

“I don’t do insecure men,” she stated bluntly. “If a guy can’t handle the fact that I have my own career, my own ambitions, and my own life outside of him, that’s a red flag.”

Confidence is key in any relationship, but for Gondrezick, it’s non-negotiable. She made it clear that she isn’t interested in coddling a man’s ego or shrinking herself to make him feel bigger.

“I’ve worked too hard to dull my shine for someone else’s comfort,” she continued. “The right man will celebrate my success, not compete with it.”

Another major deal-breaker for her? Lack of emotional intelligence.

“I need someone who understands communication, accountability, and emotional maturity. If a man can’t express himself beyond surface-level conversations or doesn’t know how to handle conflict in a healthy way, we have nothing to talk about.”

In a world where many men are still taught to suppress their emotions, her emphasis on emotional intelligence challenges traditional masculinity. But for Gondrezick, emotional depth isn’t a preference—it’s a requirement.

    Love, Growth, and Moving On

Gondrezick’s relationship with Jaylen Brown was highly publicized, with fans often speculating about their dynamic. While she didn’t go into detail about their breakup, she did make one thing clear—she has no regrets.

“Every relationship is a lesson,” she said. “I don’t look at past relationships as failures. I look at them as experiences that taught me what I do and don’t want.”

She emphasized that she’s not bitter—just wiser.

How WNBA Star Kysre Gondrezick Became A Fashion Darling - Essence | Essence

“I’ve grown so much. I’ve learned to trust my instincts more, to walk away when something doesn’t align with me, and to never settle just because something looks good on paper.”

This mindset is one that many women are embracing—choosing growth over comfort and valuing self-respect over societal expectations.

Empowering Other Women to Set Higher Standards

Gondrezick’s words aren’t just about her own dating life—they serve as a powerful message to women everywhere.

“There are too many women settling for less than they deserve because they’re afraid of being alone,” she said. “But I’d rather be alone and at peace than in a relationship that drains me.”

Her message is clear: self-worth should never be compromised for the sake of a relationship. She encourages women to stop tolerating emotional unavailability, bare-minimum effort, and partners who don’t add value to their lives.

“A man should complement you, not complete you,” she explained. “If you don’t already feel whole on your own, no relationship is going to fix that.”

    The Internet Reacts

As expected, Gondrezick’s comments sparked major reactions online. Some applauded her confidence and clarity, praising her for setting high standards. Others, however, weren’t as supportive.

“She’s just bitter,” one critic commented. “Women these days expect too much from men.”

But her supporters were quick to push back.

“Expecting emotional maturity, confidence, and respect isn’t expecting too much—it’s the bare minimum,” one fan tweeted.

The debate reflects the ongoing shift in modern dating dynamics. As more women demand emotional intelligence, ambition, and partnership instead of outdated power dynamics, men who refuse to evolve are feeling the pressure.

    What’s Next for Kysre Gondrezick?

While her love life might be a hot topic, Gondrezick is focused on much bigger things. With her athletic background and growing influence, she has her sights set on expanding her brand, empowering women, and continuing to live life on her own terms.

“I’m in a great place,” she said. “I know what I bring to the table, and I refuse to settle for anything less than I deserve.”

Her message is clear: women should never apologize for having standards, for demanding respect, or for expecting a partner who truly values them. And if that makes some people uncomfortable? So be it.

Because as Kysre Gondrezick has made perfectly clear—she doesn’t need anyone’s approval, least of all a man’s.

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis says ‘caretakers need care’ amid Gene Hackman death

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis is advocating for caretakers after the death of actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa.

The actress and co-founder of Make Time Wellness, 46, took to Instagram on Monday to speak out about the “tragic passing” of Hackman and Arakawa, captioning the post “Caregivers need care too. Period. Full stop. #supportcaregivers.”

“It’s just made me think of this broader story, and that is that caregivers need care too and that they are vital, and that it is so important that we show up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person,” Heming Willis said.

Hackman and Arakawa were found dead in their Santa Fe, New Mexico home late last month and investigators announced Friday that they believe Hackman was alive in their residence for around a week after his wife died.

Arakawa, 65, died from Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, a rare disease that is contracted by contact with mouse droppings. According to the CDC, Hantaviruses “are spread mainly by rodents and are not spread from person-to-person.”

Hackman, 95, had heart disease and complications caused by Alzheimer’s disease and died from natural causes.

“I think that there’s this common misconception that like caregivers, they got it figured out,” Heming Willis added. “They got it covered. They’re good. I don’t subscribe to that. I think that we need to be showing up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person.”

Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming Willis attend the premiere of "Motherless Brooklyn" during the 57th New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall on October 11, 2019, in New York City.

Heming and Willis share daughters Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn. Willis also has three daughters − Rumer, Scout and Tallulah with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Emma Heming Willis is a Hollywood advocate for caretakers

Since her husband’s 2023 dementia diagnosis, Heming has emerged as an outspoken advocate for caretakers despite her reserved nature.

In August of that year, Heming used an Instagram video as a “care partner PSA” to find solace with other caretakers going through similar struggles.

“I’m asking care partners to send me photos because I just think it’s so important for us to sort of break up our thinking, which can feel, for me, very much like doom and gloom,” Heming said in the video. “So, I know it looks like I’m out living my best life. I have to make a conscious effort every single day to live the best life that I can.”

“I don’t want it to be misconstrued that like, I’m good, ’cause I’m not. I’m not good,” Heming continued.

“But I have to put my best foot forward for the sake of myself and my family because again, when we are not looking after ourselves, we cannot look after anyone that we love.”

Mark Brayan, a 61-year-old married dad, has been wearing skirts and heels for four years to challenge gender norms.

The robotics engineer manager, who lives in Germany, wowed social media users with his work outfits, and gained more than 73k followers. Mark is looking to show that cisgender, straight men can be “masculine” while wearing clothes and shoes that are traditionally considered feminine.

He wrote on his Instagram page: “I am just a straight, happily married guy that loves Porsches, beautiful women, and incorporating high heels and skirts into my daily wardrobe.”

The father of three maintains that his outfits have no influence on his sexuality, but that it is a way of being comfortable and fashion-forward while challenging gender norms.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Mark said: “What drives me to dress in skirts is fashion. Comfort. Wanting to be different. I’m still the manly husband and father. My daughter even wants to borrow my shoes at times.”

“My colleagues were okay when I started wearing skirts. I had already been wearing heels with my pants for some time. So it came to them as no surprise,” he said.

Millie Bobby Brown is setting the record straight on her changing accent.

During a March 10 appearance on the Smartless podcast, the Stranger Things star, 21, addressed the changes in her voice after fans noticed she would go back and forth between her British and American accents.

When cohost Will Arnett pointed out how “cool” it was that she would go “in and out” throughout their conversation, Brown admitted that the online chatter about her accent had been challenging.

“That was such a huge thing for a minute,” she explained. “I actually call it the accent gate because it’s so frustrating because that was everywhere. Like for a second, everyone was talking about my accent, and they had a real problem about it. And I was like, ‘Guys, I’m married to an American.’”

Brown, who married Jake Bongiovi in May 2024, continued, “When I’m around his family, I immediately go into, like, an American accent. But then I was just in England, and then the second I hear my mom and dad’s accent, I just go right back.”

As an actress, she noted that shifting into different characters and taking on various accents was a part of the job.

“You want me to play these characters, but you expect me not to morph into people. What I hear is what I do,” she added. “It’s all part of it.”

This isn’t the first time Brown has addressed the changes.

In March 2024, the Damsel star spoke out about fans who left comments, worrying that she had lost her British accent after she made an appearance on The Tonight Show at the time.

“I’m an actor,” Brown said in a TikTok video. “I grew up in the public eye. I grew up in America. I come to set and I’m an actor and I adapt, and so I want to mimic other people.”

“I can’t help that when I’m around my fiancé, or when I’m with people like Jimmy Fallon who have a very American accent, I wanna replicate it,” she continued. “And now I’m in England, I wanna replicate that [accent]. I don’t do it intentional, and I’m sorry if it offends you, okay? But listen, I’m trying my best. I’m trying my best.”

The “Stranger Things” actress, who turned 21 last month, is blossoming into a fashion star, bringing her sartorial A-game to the global press tour for her forthcoming sci-fi adventure film, “The Electric State.”

Last night, Brown stepped out in New York City with husband Jake Bongiovi in tow, showing off her sultry side in a sheer underwear-revealing black lace gown, complete with a faux fur neckline and cuffs.

Bongiovi, meanwhile, covered up in a Louis Vuitton zip-up jacket and jeans.

This week, the British actress has been channeling the iconic Fran Fine — much like Sabrina Carpenter, who has worn items directly from the hit sitcom.

Appearing as a guest on “Today” on Tuesday morning, the actress wore a Versace dalmatian-print skirt suit.

Brown pushed the outfit a step further with the addition of a cropped fur jacket, beret and shiny platform Mary Janes.

Appearing as a guest on “Today” yesterday, the 21-year-old arrived at the studio in a Dalmatian print skirt suit from Versace’s resort 2025 collection — which looked like it was plucked straight out of Fran Fine’s wardrobe on “The Nanny.” GC Images

Another stop on the press tour circuit was a sit-down interview with Alex Cooper for her “Call Her Daddy” podcast, where the Florence by Mills founder revealed she was wearing a cropped T-shirt of her own design and blue bedazzled pants that once belonged to Pamela Anderson.

According to the actress, Anderson gave her the bottoms — and other clothing from the “Baywatch” star’s personal wardrobe — for the press tour after she reached out for permission.

Indeed, the mogul has been wearing Anderson’s clothes as well as a sheer Giorgio Armani dress previously worn by Gwyneth Paltrow.

Another stop on the press tour circuit was sitting down with Alex Cooper for her beloved podcast “Call Her Daddy.” Call Her Daddy

Elsewhere in the podcast, Brown discusses her blond hair, which she debuted on Instagram in early February.

Though she’s rocked the shade in the past, Brown says this time around her husband isn’t quite a fan.

“Jake’s like, ‘you look totally different to me.’” She continues, “I sat in the chair for 13 hours getting my hair done and walk into the room and my dad was like ‘oh.’”

Brown also reflects on shaving her head for “Stranger Things,” reaffirming that she can’t wait to do it again.

In fact, Brown is eager to do it again before she gives birth to her first child. “It was really liberating; would suggest it for anyone, any girl.”

  • Taylor Swift’s ‘Exclusive’ iHeartRadio Music Awards Performance Comes with a Twist

Taylor Swift’s ‘Exclusive’ iHeartRadio Music Awards Performance Comes with a Twist

Taylor Swift’s ‘Exclusive’ iHeartRadio Music Awards Performance Comes with a Twist

Taylor Swift is set to take center stage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17—but not in the way fans might have expected. While Swifties were buzzing at the thought of a brand-new, live performance from their queen, the reality comes with a surprising twist: Swift’s “exclusive performance” will actually be a pre-recorded moment from the opening night of her record-shattering Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift will have a performance at iHeartRadio Music Awards

That’s right—Swift won’t be taking the stage in real time. Instead, audiences will be treated to a throwback moment from the legendary night when she first kicked off her tour in Glendale, Arizona, exactly two years ago. The move has left fans both thrilled and curious: Which song will be featured? And why isn’t Taylor performing live for such a monumental occasion?

The Tour of the Century Gets Its Crown

The Eras Tour has been nothing short of a global phenomenon, rewriting the rules of the music industry and setting an entirely new standard for live concerts. With a jaw-dropping $2 billion in earnings, it’s not just a tour—it’s a cultural event. Given its massive success, the iHeartRadio Music Awards will be honoring Swift with the Tour of the Century accolade, a title that no other artist in recent history could claim with such authority.

The tour’s impact has been undeniable. Sold-out stadiums. Screaming fans in friendship bracelets. Cities transformed into Swiftie wonderlands. And let’s not forget the Eras Tour concert film, which dominated the box office and proved that even those who couldn’t get tickets were desperate for a taste of the experience.

    A Performance… But Not Exactly

While Swift is being celebrated at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, her “performance” isn’t actually a new one. Instead, it will be a previously recorded segment from the opening night of the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. This raises a big question—why this moment?

Taylor Swift will have a performance at iHeartRadio Music Awards

For longtime fans, that first night in Glendale is sacred. It was the beginning of an era (pun fully intended), where Swift revealed the now-iconic 44-song setlist that would leave audiences breathless night after night. Her surprise songs that evening were Mirrorball (performed acoustically on guitar) and Tim McGraw (a nostalgic throwback played on piano). Whether the iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature one of these songs or another high-energy moment from the show remains to be seen.

Some fans are speculating that Swift’s decision to opt for a pre-recorded performance is a strategic one. With the Eras Tour still ongoing and new international dates keeping her schedule packed, this move allows her to honor the event without disrupting her tour schedule. Others wonder if this is a subtle hint that more Eras Tour footage will be released soon—possibly even an extended version of the concert film.

Swifties React: Mixed Feelings, Maximum Hype

Unsurprisingly, Swifties have flooded social media with reactions to the news. Some are thrilled to relive an iconic moment, calling it a nostalgic tribute to a tour that changed everything. Others, however, were hoping for a fresh, live performance—perhaps even a hint at a new Eras Tour setlist for upcoming international dates.

“Taylor could stand on stage and just breathe, and I’d still be screaming,” one fan tweeted.

Will Taylor Swift be at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards? - AS USA

Another chimed in: “Not gonna lie, I was expecting something new, but if it’s Tim McGraw from night one, I might actually cry.”

No matter what song is chosen, one thing is clear: Swift’s influence is undeniable. Even a pre-recorded performance is enough to be a major television event.

    What’s Next for Swift?

While she may not be appearing live at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Swift has plenty on her plate. With the Eras Tour still in full swing and new music rumors swirling, 2024 is shaping up to be yet another massive year for the pop icon. Fans are also eagerly awaiting the release of The Tortured Poets Department, her upcoming album, which has already sparked wild speculation about its themes and hidden messages.

So while this performance may come with a twist, one thing is for sure: Taylor Swift knows how to keep the world watching. And whether it’s live, pre-recorded, or even just a whisper of what’s to come, every move she makes is guaranteed to be iconic.

Kelce and Reid will reunite for at least one last season
Kelce was considering hanging up his cleats after a Hall of Fame-bound career, a source previously shared with The U.S. Sun.

That came after the devastating 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl last month.

The loss ended the Chiefs bid for a historic three-peat, which would have been a first in NFL history.

But the Chiefs’ head coach Reid, has announced Kelce will be back for the 2025 campaign.

Reid told The Bettor Angle podcast: “He said he was coming back, and he’s all in.

“He’s all in, he’s a heck of a player. I mean listen, he’s getting older but you’re talking about the guy that’s going to go down as maybe the best of all time at that position.

“And okay well, if he’s a step slower or whatever people are saying, he’s still one of the best in the National Football League and in my eyes he’s the best.”

Kelce had a forgettable game in New Orleans last month, only making four catches on six targets for a mere 39 yards.

He opened up on his disappointing Super Bowl performance on his New Heights podcast.

The tight end said: “I feel like I owe the guys that I come into that building with a whole lot more effort and focus.

Kansas City Chiefs announces Travis Kelce’s retirement decision after weeks of speculation
“I just don’t know what it was during that game man, I wasn’t at my best.

“The more that I see clips or watch the film and put myself back into those moments, man, I’m just like ‘what the f***.”

His brother and co-host Jason replied: “Don’t overanalyze it Trav. You’re the king of not overanalyzing, so don’t overanalyze it.”

Travis then added: “But that’s how I find motivation. That’s how I create the beast, that’s how I flick the switch.”

He was close to calling time on his legendary 12 year-long NFL career.

Hackman was revealed to has suffered from Alzheimer’s before his death last month

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, is highlighting the hard work of caregivers, following the death of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa Hackman.

In a video clip on Instagram, Heming Willis began, “So this is not something I would normally comment on, but I do really believe that there is some learning in this story in regards to the tragic passing of Mr. and Mrs. Hackman.”

She continued, “It’s just made me think of this broader story, and that is that caregivers need care too. And that they are vital, and that it is so important that we show up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person.”

The Hackmans were found dead in their New Mexico home on Feb 26. Authorities later confirmed that Betsy died due to Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome on or around Feb 11.

Hackman died due to hypertensive atherosclerosis cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer’s disease as a significant contributing factor, and was likely alone in the home for about a week following Betsy’s death.

In her video, Heming Willis noted, “I think that there’s this common misconception that caregivers, they got it figured out. They got it covered. They’re good.”

“I don’t subscribe to that,” she continued. “I think that we need to be showing up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person.”

She captioned her post, “Caregivers need care too. Period. Full stop.”

In an additional post, she shared a text image of her quote, “Caregivers need care too,” along with an additional caption imploring people to offer support for those doing the work.

“Caregiving takes a village, yet most are doing it alone. And let me tell you—it’s not sustainable. Check in on caregivers. Show up for them. Without them, none of this works,” she wrote.

Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, and Heming Willis has been open about the difficulties of caring for her husband of 17 years.

“I think that there’s this common misconception that caregivers, they got it figured out. They got it covered. They’re good.”

During an appearance on “Today” in 2023, she discussed her family’s situation, saying, “What I’m learning is that dementia is hard. It’s hard on the person diagnosed. It’s also hard on the family. And that is no different for Bruce or myself or our girls. And when they say that this is a ‘family disease,’ it really is.”

The couple share two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn. Willis is also father to three daughters with ex-wife, Demi Moore: Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.

Willis’ eldest daughters and Moore routinely come together to help support him and the family as he continues dealing with the disease.

“We are a huge unit. We are very supportive of one another, and it’s sort of like ironclad… we are so loving with one another. … I think that is the foundation of everything we do,” Scout told Fox News Digital at the Cure Addiction Now inaugural fundraising evening in February.
