At the 2020 CMA Awards, the country music world witnessed a performance that not only honored the legacy of one of its greatest songwriters but also brought attention to some of the most pressing social issues of our time. Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker took to the stage to deliver a heartfelt tribute to Mac Davis, the legendary songwriter and performer, with a poignant rendition of his iconic song “In The Ghetto.” Originally made famous by Elvis Presley, the song paints a vivid and heartbreaking picture of the cycle of poverty and crime in urban ghettos, and McEntire and Rucker’s performance brought its message to life in a way that resonated deeply with the audience.

The performance at the CMA Awards was a powerful reminder of the impact Mac Davis had on both country and popular music. As a songwriter, he penned songs that not only entertained but also conveyed important social messages. “In The Ghetto” is perhaps one of his most well-known songs, and its relevance has not diminished in the decades since it was first released. It speaks to the struggles faced by those living in poverty and the harsh realities that are often ignored by society. The song tells the story of a child born into poverty, destined to repeat the tragic cycle of his environment. Its stark lyrics and haunting melody continue to resonate with listeners today, especially as social inequality and economic disparity remain significant issues across the globe.

McEntire and Rucker’s duet was a fitting tribute to Davis, bringing new life to a song that, though written years ago, remains as timely as ever. Their performance was emotionally charged, with both singers bringing their own unique vocal talents to the table. The tribute was not only a musical homage but also a visual one. The performance took place against a backdrop of stark imagery that helped convey the song’s themes of poverty and struggle. The somber yet powerful visuals reinforced the message of the song and created an atmosphere that was both reflective and moving. As the duo sang, the audience could feel the weight of the message, a stark reminder of the social issues that still need to be addressed in today’s world. In a time when social justice and the fight for equality are at the forefront of public discourse, “In The Ghetto” served as a poignant reminder that much work remains to be done.

Stephanie Rose Bongiovi was born into a loving family that never shunned her when she made mistakes. The 20-something-year-old had a run-in with the law in the early 2010s, and although it was the “worst moment” for her dad, the scare also served as an eye-opener.

Stephanie Rose Bongiovi is the eldest child and only daughter of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, with whom she has shared a most endearing bond. When her parents discovered they were expecting, Stephanie became the highest priority in her dad’s life, despite leading a rewarding career as a musician.

However, as Jon acknowledged, his daughter was born into a generation separate from his own, and there were things even he couldn’t prevent from happening. Stephanie suffered a short-lived health scare in 2012 that led to criminal charges yet ironically brought her family closer. Not long after it passed, she began her career working behind the scenes in filmmaking.

Stephanie Rose Bongiovi Inspired Her Father’s Song

Stephanie drew her first breath on May 31, 1993. Being the first child of Jon and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, her parents had planned to have her and were thrilled when they discovered she would arrive soon. As Stephanie’s arrival grew closer, Jon lowered his career on his priority list.

Though he continued working, he was more than willing to leave mid-performance if need be to be present for his first baby’s birth. Over time, Stephanie’s younger brothers, Jesse, Romeo, and Jake Bongiovi (Millie Bobby Brown’s beau), also came along. When she was seven, her dad wrote and dedicated the beloved song “I Got the Girl” to her.

Stephanie danced to the tune onstage with her dad at that age, and 17 years later, they recreated the sweet moment. As Jon performed the song during a March 2017 concert in Las Vegas, he reflected on having a “little bitty baby” who “wasn’t so little anymore.”

A then-23-year-old Stephanie made her way onstage right after, much to the surprise and excitement of numerous fans, and shared a dance with her dad. As the song ended, they embraced and gave each other a peck on both cheeks.

As Jon’s home and career responsibilities accumulated, the rocker was stretched thin and eventually reached mental and physical burnout. It was to the point of suicidal ideation, but because he had Stephanie, her brothers, and his wife, the singer was able to pull through.

Stephanie Got into Trouble with the Law in 2012

Stephanie was attending Hamilton College in New York City when it happened. That year, she had a drug overdose that left her hospitalized and charged with drug possession. Although she landed on the wrong side of the law, she was in a unique position that allowed her to keep her criminal record clean.

New York law strictly prohibited the prosecution of drug overdose patients, so the charges were dropped. During a March 2013 interview, Jon assured fans that Stephanie was “doing great.” But reflecting on the experience a few months later, he lamented, “It was my worst moment as a father.”

And yet, it fostered a stronger bond between himself, Stephanie, and the rest of their family. It also served as an eye-opener, as he later realized that drug overdose was more prevalent than he imagined, even among close friends and family. Jon further acknowledged:

“I wasn’t aware of it, not because I’m not home but because it is a different world. Our world is far more relatable to our parents’ world than the kids’ world.”

Stephanie Is Now Developing Her Career in Filmmaking

She graduated from The New School with a Bachelor’s degree in Film/Cinema/Video studies and began working as an assistant at The Weinstein Company in September 2013. In 2015, she interned on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and Vice Media LLC before working freelance as First Assistant Camera at NorthSouth Productions from 2017 onwards.

Among her credits is the 2021 Netflix drama “Passing,” starring Tessa Mae Thompson, Ruth Negga, and Andre Holland. She’s also known as a long-standing camera operator for the comical reality TV shows “Impractical Jokers” and “Impractical Jokers: After Party” since 2018.

VIDEO: Devastating New Footage Leaks Of Travis Hunter’s Fiancee Allegedly In Bed With Another Man As Heisman Trophy Winner’s Nightmarish Month Continues To Get Worse

Travis Hunter started December by winning the Heisman, and things have only spiraled in the wrong direction ever since.

Colorado’s two-way star sparked headlines Monday after deactivating his Instagram account. This decision came amid a wave of criticism that has recently engulfed his fiancée, Leanna Lenee.

Hunter should be focused on his upcoming NFL career, but social media keeps yelling at him to leave his girl before he makes a terrible decision.

Things only got louder on social media after somebody leaked a series of short videos that clearly show his fiancee in a house with another man. The videos are reportedly from three years ago, which would be fine if Travis Hunter and Lenee haven’t been dating for five years.

In one video, Lenee appeared to be only in a T-shirt and her underwear as she blocked her face from the camera. The next video shows her in bed with the man, while another video shows her fixing his food after they are finished.

At this point, only Travis Hunter can make this stop, and that would allow him to break all ties with this young lady.

You Have To Feel Bad For Travis Hunter

Colorado football star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter is having a rough few weeks.

Since winning the Heisman, there has been a whirlwind of exposed pictures and videos showing his soon-to-be wife doing things while they were in a relationship.

Hunter defended his fiancée on a Twitch stream, saying, “I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” Hunter said during the stream. “Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.”

Things have only spiraled for him, leading to him deleting social media to get away from it.

Despite their efforts to be left alone, the criticism amplified, and now Hunter and Lenee have to deal with the latest controversy.

Hopefully, stepping away from social media will help him get his mind correct as he gets ready for the next phase of his life.

Jon Bon Jovi might be the frontman of the legendary rock outfit Bon Jovi, but he’s also a devoted family man. The rocker married Dorothea Bongiovi, his high school sweetheart, in 1989. The two were in Los Angeles when Bon Jovi spontaneously decided to elope with Dorothea in nearby Las Vegas, and they’ve been together ever since.

On May 31, 1993, Bon Jovi and Dorothea welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Stephanie Rose Bongiovi. The couple went on to have their sons Jesse Bongiovi in 1995, Jake Hurley Bongiovi in 2002, and their youngest, Romeo Jon Bongiovi, in 2004.

While Bon Jovi is close with all of his children, he has a special bond with his one and only daughter. When Stephanie was a young girl, he wrote a song just for her, called “I Got The Girl.” At 7 years old, Stephanie joined her father onstage while he performed the track.

Then, in 2017, she again took to the stage while her father performed the same song. The moment was especially touching the second time around, as Stephanie had gone through a life-threatening ordeal a few years before that rocked the whole Bongiovi family.

In November 2012, Jon Bon Jovi faced a parent’s worst nightmare. Stephanie Rose Bongiovi was found unresponsive in her dorm room at Hamilton College and was rushed to the hospital. At the time, it was suspected that the then-19-year-old freshman had overdosed on heroin, and the authorities were called to search her room.

They found the opioid, along with marijuana and various drug paraphernalia. After being revived, Stephanie was arrested and charged with several counts of drug possession, along with her friend, Ian Grant, who was at the scene.

The Oneida County District Attorney later dropped all charges against Stephanie and Grant due to a New York “Good Samaritan” law, which protects those who have overdosed and are seeking medical help from facing legal peril, according to NBC News. At the time, Bon Jovi remained silent on his daughter’s harrowing ordeal, but he later opened up about what he said was his “worst moment.”

Dealing with the aftermath of a drug overdose isn’t easy for a public figure, but rock star Jon Bon Jovi remained supportive of his daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi following her potentially fatal experience.

Referring to his career as a rock star as “glitzy and glamorous,” he has also acknowledged the downsides to his life. “This tragedy was something that I had to face too so we’ll get through it. And people’s warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we’re good, we’re good,” he explained during an interview with Los Angeles’ Fox 11.

The following year, Bon Jovi opened up about the incident to the Mirror. He recalled being awakened in the middle of the night by Stephanie, who had called him from the hospital to tell him that she was okay, but had overdosed on heroin. “It was horrible, a horrible moment.

It was my worst moment as a father,” he shared. The “Livin’ On A Prayer” singer was unaware of his daughter’s drug use, but the frightening moment he faced as a parent led to others sharing similar stories.

“We went through something that a lot of parents do, many more than I thought. Many more people who have been in my life that I had no idea they had been through it with their own children at one point or another,” he mused. Thankfully, the family survived the nightmare intact, and Bon Jovi is just grateful to have his daughter healthy and happy.

Justin Timberlake’s Top Cereals Are Absolute Classics

Justin Timberlake: singer, actor, former boy band heartthrob, and breakfast aficionado. Regarding the latter, his morning ritual involves eating two breakfasts, both before and after his daily workout. Beyond protein-rich grub like eggs and flax seed-infused waffles, JT has a sweet tooth, especially for nostalgia-inducing cereals. The star shared his five all-time favorite cereals on TikTok. The video, captioned, “To be clear, this is not an ad. Cereal is just important to me,” has garnered more than 200,000 likes.

Ranking at No. 5 is Honey Nut Cheerios. Timberlake describes the ring-shaped oats as “a staple, good for your heart.” This timeless cereal is beloved for its lightly sweet flavor and crisp, tender bite. Contradictory to its name, a box of Honey Nut Cheerios contains no nuts — one of many myths about Cheerios. Next up, he brings in the sugar-dusted, milled corn joy of Frosted Flakes. “They’re grrrreat!” he declares, channeling the iconic brand mascot Tony the Tiger like a pro. He enjoys making Frosted Flakes even tastier — and perhaps more wholesome — by adding sliced bananas.

Things get a bit more playful with Fruity Pebbles, Justin Timberlake’s third place pick. The crispy rice cereal — which has featured The Flintstones on its packaging since its launch in 1971 — is famous for its fruity flavors and technicolor palette. However, he advises, “You don’t wanna dunk too much before you eat them, ’cause they do get soggy fast.” At number two is Cap’n Crunch, a choice that also comes with a word of caution: “This one, you wanna dunk extra. Otherwise, rest in peace to the roof of your mouth,” Timberlake jokes, highlighting the corn- and oat-based cereal’s texture, which is notorious for being a bit aggressive on the palate.

Reigning supreme on Timberlake’s list is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which he crowns as “the GOAT of cereals.” With its satisfying blend of cinnamon and sugar and ability to transform milk into liquid gold, the prizewinner is a major crowd-pleaser — and his fans agree. “CTC for the win!,” one user rejoiced. Another wondered, “Who else just bought Cinnamon Toast Crunch????” Several fans pointed out that, during his prime *NSYNC days, the de facto leader professed his love for Apple Jacks, which somehow didn’t make the cut. Timberlake’s breakfast breakdown reminds us that sometimes, the simplest things — like a bowl of cereal — deserve their time in the spotlight.

  • At 91, Carol Burnett Finally Confesses He Was the Love of Her Life

At 91, Carol Burnett Finally Confesses He Was the Love of Her Life

Carol Burnett, a beloved comedic legend, has lived a life filled with both the brilliant glow of fame and the shadowed pain of personal loss. She has long been known for her impeccable comedic timing, versatility, and ability to connect with audiences through humor. However, behind her public persona, there exists a rich tapestry of love, resilience, and personal growth. Her story is not only about laughter and success but also about the quiet struggles she faced in her relationships and personal life.

At 91, Carol Burnett Finally Confesses He Was the Love of Her Life - YouTube

At the heart of her journey is her deep and enduring love for Joe Hamilton, a man who would play a significant role both in her personal and professional life. Carol met Joe in the early 1960s while working together on “The Garry Moore Show,” and it was there that their connection grew into something special. Joe, a talented producer, was captivated by Carol’s charm, wit, and intelligence, while Carol found in Joe the stability and depth she had always longed for. Their relationship was not defined by whirlwind romance but by a slow-burning, deep connection based on mutual respect and admiration.

In 1963, Carol and Joe married, beginning a journey that would last for over two decades. Throughout the years, their love was nurtured not only by their shared affection but also by their creative collaboration. As Carol developed “The Carol Burnett Show,” Joe became her indispensable partner. Serving as the show’s executive producer, Joe was instrumental in bringing her vision to life. His contributions went beyond technical support, offering invaluable creative input that helped the show become a staple in American television.

Their marriage was not without its challenges. Carol’s rising fame and the demands of her career began to take a toll on their relationship. Joe’s perfectionism and high standards sometimes overwhelmed Carol, while her strong-willed, independent nature created difficulties in balancing the roles of wife and television star. By 1984, these growing tensions led to their divorce, a decision Carol later described as one of the hardest she had ever made. Despite their separation, Carol and Joe remained on good terms, primarily for the sake of their three daughters, and Carol always respected Joe for being a dedicated father.

The end of their marriage was difficult for Carol, and in the years following the divorce, she withdrew emotionally, distancing herself from those connected to Joe. This period marked a challenging time for her both personally and professionally, with her creativity stifled and her relationships with colleagues strained. But in 1991, when Joe passed away from lung cancer, Carol faced yet another profound loss. His death was not just the loss of a former spouse, but the loss of a partner who had shared in her creative endeavors and helped turn her dreams into reality.

Carol Burnett Is Happy She's 'Got All My Parts' Ahead of 91st Birthday

Carol once said that Joe taught her the greatest lesson about love: it’s not just about romance, but about weathering the ups and downs together and offering support even when things are not perfect. Though their marriage ended, the memories of Joe remained with Carol, providing her both comfort and motivation. She always spoke of him with affection, acknowledging that Joe had played a pivotal role in shaping her as both a person and an artist.

Despite the loss of Joe, Carol’s life continued to evolve. Her daughters, Carrie, Jodie, and Erin, became pillars of strength, supporting their mother through the challenging years. Carrie, in particular, was not only a daughter but also a creative collaborator. Carol and Carrie worked together on the play “Hollywood Arms,” which was based on Carol’s difficult childhood. Tragically, Carrie passed away from lung cancer in 2002, a loss that devastated Carol. Losing Carrie felt like losing a part of her soul, but it also deepened her appreciation for the importance of family.

As she navigated these personal losses, Carol found new strength in her relationship with her second husband, Brian Miller. The two married in 2001, and despite a significant age difference of 23 years, their bond remained strong and supportive. Brian became not just a husband but a steadfast partner, providing Carol with the love and stability she needed. In 2020, Carol once again showed her devotion to her family when she became the legal guardian of her grandson, Dylan. This role, taken on when she was in her late 80s, brought her new purpose and joy, as she ensured Dylan had the support he needed after her daughter Erin faced personal challenges.

Carol Burnett Jokes She Wants to Do One Thing Before She Turns 91: 'Bradley Cooper'

Carol’s resilience in the face of overwhelming loss is a testament to her strength. But her ability to continue to create, to love, and to persevere is what truly defines her. Her connection to her family—her daughters, her grandchildren, and her second husband—has always been a source of strength, even in the darkest times.

Throughout her life, Carol Burnett has exemplified what it means to live with purpose and passion. From her childhood in a difficult family situation to becoming one of television’s brightest stars, she has navigated the highs and lows of both career and personal life with grace. Her journey has been one of incredible growth, filled with both triumphs and heartbreaking losses. Yet, it is her enduring commitment to love, family, and resilience that remains her greatest legacy.

Through all the challenges, Carol Burnett’s life continues to inspire millions. She has shown that no matter the obstacles, the bonds we share with those we love—whether family, friends, or partners—are what help us rise again. Her story is a powerful reminder that while success can bring joy, it is love and resilience that truly illuminate our path.

Spoil His 35-Point Outing vs Magic

The Boston Celtics rarely lose when they take a lead as big as 15. Such an unraveling did transpire against a heavily deprived Orlando Magic side. However, their resilience ultimately paved the way for a stunning upset. The Shamrocks, despite Jaylen Brown’s 35 points couldn’t hold on to their first-half lead. Orlando’s suffocating defense played a hand. However, Brown also felt they were “allowed” to do certain things.

Most recently in the game against the Chicago Bulls, the reigning Finals MVP called out the officials for ‘threatening’ players. Tonight, it wasn’t as severe, but JB felt the referees played to Orlando’s advantage. “Things wasn’t going our way. We felt like the officials were one sided,” he said after the game.

In particular, Brown felt Orlando was “allowed to be physical” which deterred the Celtics from their strong first-half showing. But rather than crucify the officials as he did before, the Celtics star feels the team needs to get used to such environments as the defending champions.

“I think we need to see that more, get used to that, and get more comfortable with that level of environment,” Brown said.

In terms of foul calls, again, the Celtics did beat the Magic in terms of free throw advantage. They attempted six more, but Orlando didn’t miss any of their 21 attempts. Furthermore, aside from Jaylen Brown, the Magic managed to limit Porzingis in the absence of Jaylen Brown. Also, the Celtics’ 8-man rotation seemed to backfire as their bench got outscored by 30 points tonight.

But even if the Orlando Magic did have an advantage, JB didn’t hesitate in giving them credit. He felt like they “set the tone” in the second half with their tenacity and ultimately that is what helped them win the game.

The Orlando Magic showed heart against the Boston Celtics

As mentioned, the Magic turned the game around. By the first half, even though they prevented the Celtics from making threes, a 15-point lead is hard to recover from. The Magic achieved to settle the equation in the third quarter. A lot of it was due to them flipping the script on the Boston Celtics.

Following a 20% three-point shooting first half, Orlando did tremendous damage from distance in the second half. They hit 10 threes in the second half, shooting 55.6% from three. Tristan da Silva and Trevelin Queen combined to make seven of those and were also the standout performers for the night.

But that wasn’t all. The Celtics weren’t shooting the ball well, but the Magic guarded the perimeter with their lives. The Shamrocks only made eight threes the entire game, their lowest mark so far this season. Furthermore, the 18 turnovers they forced was also the second-most for the Celtics.

All around, it was a display of heart and strong will. Without the Wagner brothers and Paolo Banchero, their top three scorers, the Magic ere written off even before the game began. But they proved that no mountain is big enough, thwarting the Shamrocks in their own backyard, only their fourth loss at home.

Hence, with such an inspiring effort, tonight was a win the Orlando Magic most certainly deserved.

Kevin Costner Responds to Yellowstone Co-Star Luke Grimes Diss

The recent drama surrounding Kevin Costner’s departure from Yellowstone has sparked much conversation, especially with the final season now concluded. The show, which became a massive hit, experienced significant delays after Costner’s abrupt exit. His departure, reportedly due to behind-the-scenes tension, left fans wondering how the show would continue without its lead actor, who portrayed the powerful and complex character of John Dutton. In an interview with Esquire, Costner’s former co-star, Luke Grimes, who played the role of Kayce Dutton, didn’t shy away from discussing the impact of his absence on the series. Grimes made it clear that while he didn’t directly point fingers, there was a sense of relief in not having Costner on set.

Kevin Costner Responds to Yellowstone Co-Star Luke Grimes Diss

Grimes spoke candidly about how much easier the filming process had become after Costner’s departure, noting that the lack of conflict on set had made the experience more enjoyable. His remarks about the tension that had existed with Costner were seen by many as a subtle jab at his former co-star, signaling a complex and possibly strained relationship between the two. While Grimes did not elaborate on specific details, his comments conveyed that the show, in the wake of Costner’s exit, had become less stressful and more harmonious, particularly in comparison to the previous seasons. For fans of Yellowstone, this revelation added a new layer to the ongoing narrative of the show, as the behind-the-scenes drama seemed to be just as captivating as the storyline unfolding on screen.

Of course, it didn’t take long for Kevin Costner to catch wind of Grimes’ candid comments. The actor, who has mostly kept a low profile since leaving Yellowstone, was recently spotted in Aspen, Colorado, where he was asked about the fate of his character, John Dutton, in the final season. His response to the question about whether he and Grimes had spoken since his departure was notably terse. “We’re done talking,” Costner said, offering a brief but firm closure to any speculation about their relationship post-Yellowstone. His comment seemed to reflect the finality of the situation, reinforcing the sense that the rift between him and the series was deeper than simply a professional separation.

When pressed further about Dutton’s death in the series, Costner’s response was equally indifferent. He admitted that he had not given much thought to the Yellowstone finale, indicating that, since his departure, he had little interest in the show’s conclusion. “I’m not thinking about the Yellowstone finale. I don’t think I’ve given it any thoughts,” Costner said, revealing that he was content to let the series continue without him. This detachment from the fate of the character he had so thoroughly brought to life over the course of the show was perhaps a testament to his desire to move on from the drama surrounding the series.

Kevin Costner Responds to Luke Grimes Yellowstone Feud Rumors

Costner went on to say that he had heard about his character’s demise in the finale, though he did not seem eager to watch the final scenes unfold. “I heard it’s a suicide, so that doesn’t make me want to rush to go see it,” he said, expressing a lack of interest in revisiting the show’s storyline. This response, while blunt, also reflected a sense of finality for Costner, who had seemingly left behind the world of Yellowstone both professionally and emotionally. He further revealed that he hadn’t even been aware that the finale had aired, admitting that he only learned about it the next morning, reinforcing the idea that Yellowstone was no longer a priority for him.

For many Yellowstone fans, Costner’s comments were telling of his emotional distance from the show and his character. His lack of enthusiasm for the series’ ending indicated that, despite his central role in its success, he had moved on from Yellowstone long before its conclusion. However, his absence from the show has led to a shift in the dynamics of the series, with new characters and actors stepping into the spotlight. The show, while losing its star, has continued to capture the attention of audiences, though it’s clear that the void left by Costner’s John Dutton has altered the fabric of the story.

Grimes, on the other hand, seemed to embrace this shift, emphasizing how much more relaxed the filming atmosphere had become in the absence of the tension that had been reportedly present during earlier seasons. His comments, while potentially uncomfortable for some, shed light on the behind-the-scenes challenges that had existed within the Yellowstone family. As the final season continues to unfold, many are left to wonder what lies ahead for the Dutton family and whether the show can maintain its success without its iconic lead.

We're done talking': Kevin Costner shuts down question about Yellowstone co-star Luke Grimes' recent dig

The relationship between Costner and Yellowstone has now come full circle. From the glory of being the face of a cultural phenomenon to the eventual fallout that led to his departure, Costner’s journey with the series has been far from smooth. Yet, his recent remarks highlight his desire to move forward, leaving Yellowstone behind as he pursues other projects and life experiences. Meanwhile, the rest of the Yellowstone cast, particularly Grimes, seems ready to carry the torch, embracing a new era for the series. As the show moves past its dramatic exit, it remains to be seen whether it can maintain the same level of intensity and intrigue without Costner’s larger-than-life presence.

For fans, however, the question remains: can Yellowstone still thrive without John Dutton at its center? With Costner’s departure, a new chapter in the Yellowstone saga is being written, one that will undoubtedly be filled with both challenges and opportunities.

Clark has been accused of benefitting from white privilege, with criticism coming from every angle following her unveiling as the TIME Magazine Athlete of the Year.

CNN’s Scott Jennings has suggested that the former Iowa star is responsible for the criticism as she’s tried to appeal to the “woke mob” by paying homage to the stars who came before her, though they built a league that has never actually made money.

Cari Champion Defended Caitlin Clark, But Still Called Her Privileged

Champion countered Jennings’ argument with claims that Clark was simply showing respect and gets bullied for anything she says.

“But before she entered the league that started in 1997, there were the Lisa Leslies and the Dawn Staleys and Sheryl Swoopes of it all who really built the league, and they weren’t getting the attention, because let’s face it, the league was built in a way in which, it wasn’t mainstream,” the former First Take host declared. “And all she’s simply saying is, ‘I want to respect those who come before me.’”

Champion added that Caitlin Clark also recognizes that she’s privileged while suggesting that the money she makes is not just due to the fact that she’s an incredible shooter.

“She makes more money than the people who built this league,” she noted. “And she understands that there’s a reason, not because she shoots the ball well. Yes, that also helps, but there’s another reason that says, ‘I’m white, and it’s a privilege and people love me.’”
