Breaking: Justin Timberlake dodges New York drunk driving charges in plea deal

Justin Timberlake is set to take a plea deal in his drunk driving case that could lessen his charges.

Justin Timberlake snags plea deal in DWI case, will dodge drunk driving charges

The former NSYNC member will agree to plead guilty to a less serious crime than the drunk driving charge he faces, the Associated Press reports, citing a source familiar with the case. This means Timberlake could walk away with a traffic violation charge instead, according to the New York Post.

The 43-year-old will appear in court on Friday in Sag Harbor, New York, his lawyer Edward Burke told The Independent. Burke declined to comment on the deal or the proceedings.

The star was arrested in June in Sag Harbor for drunk driving. The arresting officer said he pulled Timberlake over after he didn’t stop at a stop sign and weaved in and out of his lane.

Timberlake said he had a single martini that night but refused to take a breathalyzer test.

“His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” police said in court filings, according to the Associated Press.

Last month, Timberlake pleaded not guilty and Burke said he was not intoxicated while driving the night he was arrested.

Village Justice Carl Irace then suspended his New York driver’s license because he refused to take the breathalyzer test when he was pulled over. It was unclear how long the suspension will last.

In court, Burke argued that the arresting officers “made a number of very significant errors in this case.”

He said Timberlake “cooperated” with law enforcement “from the second he was ordered out of his car to the second he was charged.”

“You heard the DA try to fix one of those errors, but that’s just one, and there are many others,” he said. “Sometimes the police, like every one of us, make mistakes. And that’s the case in this very instance.”

Irace also chastised Burke for making “irresponsible” comments to the media.

He said his statements came off “as an attempt to poison the case before it even begins,” and encouraged Burke to be more careful moving forward.

Anna Kendrick spills secrets about nerve-wracking performance with Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick starred in animated film ‘Trolls’

Anna Kendrick spills secrets about nerve-wracking performance with Justin Timberlake

In a recent appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Anna Kendrick opened up about a nerve-wracking yet unforgettable experience that took place at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. During the event, she and her Trolls co-star, Justin Timberlake, were tasked with performing a rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s iconic song True Colors. This performance was part of the promotional activities for the animated film in which the two stars voiced the characters of Poppy and Branch.

Kendrick revealed that both she and Timberlake were battling illness at the time of the performance, adding an extra layer of pressure to an already daunting situation. Despite their physical discomfort, the two still pushed forward and committed to delivering a performance. Kendrick reflected on how the experience was one of those rare “bucket list” moments, particularly because she had the chance to sing alongside one of pop music’s greats.

The performance was a simple one, Kendrick explained, with both singers opting for a stripped-back version of True Colors. The duo rehearsed the song countless times, each repetition helping to perfect the arrangement. However, Kendrick shared a funny anecdote from their preparation process, revealing a moment of creative tension between her and Timberlake just before they went on stage. She recalled Timberlake, as they were about to perform, singing his part alone and adding in several intricate vocal riffs.

“Are you gonna do it like that?” Kendrick asked him, clearly surprised by the spontaneity of his vocal embellishments. To her relief, Timberlake reassured her, “No, no, no, no, no, no. It’s fine!” Despite his reassurances, Kendrick confessed that she was still taken aback by his confidence and his ability to make bold choices in the moment.

For Kendrick, performing alongside Timberlake was a surreal experience, as she acknowledged his immense talent and his effortless vocal range. The actress, known for her roles in films like Pitch Perfect and Twilight, admitted that Timberlake’s voice left her in awe. She marveled at his ability to access such a wide range of vocal techniques, something she felt was beyond her own capabilities at the time.

“I told him, ‘You still have access to so much of your voice that I do not have right now,’” Kendrick said. Timberlake, ever the humble professional, quickly reassured her, telling her, “No, no. It’s going to be exactly how we did it. It’s gonna be fine.” His calm and supportive demeanor helped to ease Kendrick’s nerves, allowing her to push through her anxieties and enjoy the moment.

The duo’s performance at Cannes was a highlight of the festival, showcasing their chemistry both on and off-screen. As the voices of Poppy and Branch in Trolls, Kendrick and Timberlake formed a dynamic duo that resonated with audiences, bringing to life the vibrant and heartwarming characters from the animated world. Their off-the-cuff performance of True Colors, a song about self-acceptance and embracing one’s inner beauty, perfectly encapsulated the message of the film.

Despite their illnesses and the mounting pressure of performing in front of an international audience, Kendrick and Timberlake’s chemistry and professionalism shone through. Their commitment to the performance and to each other was evident, and their shared experience became one of those rare moments where the magic of a live performance transcends the nerves and challenges of the moment.

Anna Kendrick Recalls Performing with Justin Timberlake While 'Really Sick' — and Why He Made Her Nervous

For Kendrick, the experience was a reminder of the power of collaboration and the joy that comes with working alongside talented individuals who make the process fun and memorable. Timberlake’s kindness and generosity as a co-performer were not lost on Kendrick, who expressed her admiration for the way he made her feel at ease despite her nerves.

In reflecting on the experience, Kendrick offered insight into what it was like to work with Timberlake on such an iconic song. While the stakes were high, and the performance was fraught with challenges, the end result was a moment of shared artistic expression. For Kendrick, Timberlake’s calm under pressure and his unwavering confidence in their preparation made all the difference, turning what could have been a stressful situation into one of her fondest memories.

Looking back, Kendrick’s story from Cannes is a reminder of the unpredictable nature of live performances, where things don’t always go according to plan. However, it’s also a testament to the power of collaboration, talent, and a little bit of humor in overcoming nerves. Despite the illness they were both dealing with, Kendrick and Timberlake were able to deliver a performance that was not only memorable but also deeply reflective of the bond they had formed as co-stars in Trolls.

As Kendrick continues to reflect on her career and the unique moments that have shaped it, the experience with Timberlake at Cannes remains a cherished memory—one that highlights both the challenges and rewards of working in the entertainment industry. And for fans of Trolls, it’s a moment that will continue to stand out as an example of what happens when two talented artists come together to create something magical, even in the face of adversity.

  • At 82, Connie Smith FINALLY Confirms the Rumors of a Tragic Diagnosis

At 82, Connie Smith FINALLY Confirms the Rumors of a Tragic Diagnosis

Connie Smith, one of the most iconic voices in country music, has left an indelible mark on the genre with her deep, emotive style and undeniable talent. Born in Elkhart, Indiana, on August 14, 1941, Smith’s life story is one of resilience, shaped by hardship and unwavering determination. Her journey to stardom, however, wasn’t easy. Growing up in a family struggling with personal challenges, including the tumultuous relationship between her parents, Smith found solace and strength in music. Her early years were marked by instability, with her father’s alcoholism creating an abusive environment that led to her parents’ divorce. Despite the difficult circumstances, music was a constant in her life, especially with her stepfather and siblings playing instruments, and their shared love for country music, which helped form the foundation for her future career.

As a teenager, Smith faced a life-altering experience when she was seriously injured in a lawnmower accident. During her recovery, a guitar was given to her, and this event would prove pivotal. Her time spent learning the instrument laid the groundwork for what would become a lifelong passion. In high school, she took her first steps toward a music career, performing publicly for the first time with the song “My Happiness.” Even then, her voice stood out, foreshadowing the greatness that was to come.

After graduation, Smith explored several jobs, but none satisfied her as much as music. It wasn’t until she married her first husband, Jerry Smith, that she began to take her musical dreams seriously. With his support, she began performing more regularly, gaining confidence and recognition. Her breakthrough came in 1962 when she performed at the Washington County Fair, although the experience was bittersweet—she was let go after her first performance, possibly due to her pregnancy at the time. Still, her determination didn’t waver. She found another opportunity at WSA TV, where her talent was nurtured.

In 1963, Smith entered a talent contest at Frontier Ranch and won with her rendition of Jean Shepard’s “I Thought of You.” This victory, coupled with the encouragement of fellow country artist Bill Anderson, set her on a path to Nashville, where she would soon make history. A chance encounter with Anderson led to an invitation to perform with the Midnight Jamboree Show, and from there, her career began to take off. After recording demo tapes, RCA’s legendary producer, Chet Atkins, signed her to a recording contract in 1964, marking the official beginning of her music career.

    Connie Smith over the years

Smith’s debut single, “Once a Day,” released in August 1964, made history by reaching number one on the Billboard country charts. This unprecedented success for a female artist with her debut single helped catapult her into the spotlight. Her voice, full of clarity and emotion, resonated with fans and critics alike, making her one of country music’s brightest stars. Over the next few years, Smith released several albums and hits, including “Then and Only Then” and “Cute and Country,” solidifying her presence on the radio and in the hearts of fans.

Her success was not without its challenges, however. In the late 1960s, RCA encouraged her to experiment with a pop-country fusion, which she reluctantly agreed to. Though albums like Born to Sing and Downtown Country leaned more toward pop influences, Smith’s emotional depth and vocal strength remained intact. By 1971, she had established herself not only as a country music star but also as a powerful figure capable of interpreting songs with great emotional resonance. Her hit “Just One Time” further cemented her reputation, reaching number two on the Billboard charts and becoming one of her signature songs.

Despite her success, Smith faced personal and professional struggles. She was a devout Christian, and her faith played an essential role in her music. This devotion to her beliefs led her to record gospel albums, such as Come Along and Walk With Me in 1972, which showcased a different side of her musical talents and deepened her connection with fans. Yet, her marriage struggles, coupled with the pressures of balancing career and family, caused her to reconsider her path. In 1979, she made the decision to leave the music business temporarily and focus on her family and faith.

Connie Smith is now saying goodbye after her husband's tragic diagnosis

It wasn’t long, however, before the music industry beckoned her again. After a brief hiatus, Smith returned in the early 1980s, joining Epic Records and later Monument Records, where she continued to pursue her country roots while balancing her family life. While her music didn’t always match the mainstream pop-country trends of the time, Smith stayed true to her style, maintaining her artistic integrity. In the 1990s, after a period of reflection, Smith reemerged with a powerful new album that blended both classic and modern country styles. This album proved that, even after years away from the spotlight, Connie Smith had not lost her touch.

Her return was further solidified when she teamed up with country music star Marty Stuart, who would become her second husband. Together, they created an album that reaffirmed Smith’s place in the pantheon of country music legends. Her later work, including the gospel album Love Never Fails, demonstrated her resilience and devotion to her craft, even in the face of health challenges.

Throughout her career, Smith’s voice has remained a distinctive force in country music, transcending trends and staying true to its emotional heart. Her ability to connect with audiences, both through the pain and joy in her lyrics, has ensured her lasting legacy. Connie Smith’s journey, full of both triumph and adversity, reflects the very essence of country music—stories of heartache, perseverance, and the power of song to heal and inspire.

At the age of 78, Dolly Parton has begun to open up about the untold aspects of her life and career, revealing unexpected personal conflicts, particularly with another renowned female artist, which has sparked widespread speculation among her fans. Known for her harmonious relationships with others in the industry, the revelation of this feud caught many off guard, giving a glimpse into the more challenging side of her career. While Parton has remained tight-lipped about the details, her candid admission about the difficulties she’s faced behind the scenes has added depth to her public persona. This has led many to reassess the pressures that even the most successful artists like Dolly Parton face in their journey to the top.

In sharing her experiences, Parton has humanized herself, shedding light on the emotional weight and mental strain that accompanies years of fame. She talked about the frustrations she’s faced while working in the studio with other artists, where differing work paces led to significant tension. Parton, known for her positivity, admitted that such challenges had an emotional toll on her, something rarely seen by her fans. Her openness serves as a reminder that even those who seem to have it all can suffer from hidden struggles. This vulnerability has only increased the empathy that her audience feels for her, transforming her from a larger-than-life figure into a more relatable human being.

To understand the full scope of Dolly Parton’s resilience and the emotional strength she has built over the years, one must look at her humble beginnings. Born on January 19, 1946, in a one-room cabin in the mountains of Tennessee, Parton’s early life was marked by poverty. She was the fourth of 12 children in a family without electricity or indoor plumbing. Despite these hardships, her parents instilled in their children a deep love for music and faith, values that would play a central role in Dolly’s life. The family may have lacked material wealth, but it was rich in love and the sounds of traditional Appalachian music.

Interview with Dolly Parton - YouTube

Dolly’s early exposure to music came through her mother, who sang hymns beautifully, and from a young age, Dolly found solace in music. At the age of six, she began singing in church, quickly earning the admiration of the congregation. It wasn’t long before her talent was recognized by her Uncle Bill Owens, who gifted her a guitar when she was eight years old. This gesture ignited Dolly’s passion for music and set her on the path to becoming the legendary artist we know today. Growing up in the Appalachian region, her music was heavily influenced by the rich storytelling traditions of the area. Themes of resilience, family, and love permeated her songs, and these themes would become central to her songwriting for years to come.

In 1964, after graduating from high school, Dolly left the comfort of her mountain home and moved to Nashville to chase her dreams. The early years in Nashville were not easy. Like many aspiring artists, Parton faced fierce competition in the city’s music scene. But her natural talent as a songwriter quickly earned her recognition, leading to a songwriting deal with Combine Publishing. This success helped her land a recording contract with Monument Records in 1965. Although her early singles failed to make a significant impact, it was a turning point when the label realized that Parton’s true strength lay in country music. Her 1966 hit, “Dumb Blonde,” reached number 24 on the country charts, and her career began to take off.

A defining moment in Dolly’s career came in 1967 when she partnered with veteran country artist Porter Wagoner. Their collaboration not only helped Parton reach a wider audience but also secured her a recording contract with RCA Victor. The duo’s success, including the hit song “The Last Thing on My Mind,” solidified Dolly’s place in country music. Despite the success of their partnership, Dolly always had aspirations of pursuing a solo career, and in 1969, she made the bold decision to branch out on her own. This move marked a new chapter in her career, and her debut solo album, “Just Because I’m a Woman,” reflected her growing independence and fearlessness in addressing societal issues.

Throughout the 1970s, Dolly’s success continued to soar. She released iconic songs like “Jolene” in 1973, which showcased her unmatched storytelling ability, and the heartfelt “I Will Always Love You” in 1974, a song that not only topped the country charts but also crossed over to the pop charts and became a global hit when Whitney Houston covered it in 1992. Dolly’s ability to blend country and pop music marked her as one of the most versatile artists of her generation.

Interview With Dolly Parton Youtube - Otosection

By the late 1970s, Dolly had achieved superstar status. Her 1977 album, Here You Come Again, was a major success, with its title track becoming a hit on both the pop and country charts. This success in both genres highlighted Dolly’s widespread appeal and ability to transcend musical boundaries. Beyond music, Dolly’s charm and wit made her a beloved figure in the entertainment world, and she became a frequent guest on talk shows and variety programs. In 1976, she launched her own television show, Dolly, further cementing her place as a household name.

The 1980s saw Dolly further expand her career into acting, starring in the hit film 9 to 5 in 1980 alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. This role showcased her acting skills and earned her critical acclaim. She also starred in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), where her singing and acting abilities were on full display. In the same decade, she formed the supergroup Trio with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris. While their 1987 debut album was a commercial and critical success, it was also marred by tensions within the group, particularly between Dolly and Ronstadt. These tensions, born out of differing work styles, eventually led to challenges in the group’s dynamic, highlighting the complexities of musical collaborations.

Despite these struggles, Dolly Parton’s legacy remains firmly intact. Her story, from humble beginnings to worldwide stardom, serves as a testament to her resilience and determination. Her ability to share both her triumphs and challenges with the world has made her even more beloved by her fans, offering a reminder that even the brightest stars face struggles that are often hidden from the public eye. Dolly’s story continues to inspire, reminding us that greatness is often forged in the face of adversity.

  • Taylor Swift Explains What Her Job Was a Kid Growing Up on a Christmas Tree Farm in Resurfaced Video

Taylor Swift Explains What Her Job Was a Kid Growing Up on a Christmas Tree Farm in Resurfaced Video

Taylor Swift Explains What Her Job Was a Kid Growing Up on a Christmas Tree Farm in Resurfaced Video

In the ever-evolving folklore of Taylor Swift’s life, certain memories are etched into her mythology, shaping the artist’s narrative for both her fans and herself. One of the most beloved chapters in this story is her childhood spent on a Christmas tree farm in West Reading, Pennsylvania. A detail that has appeared in both her lyrics and interviews, it is not just a charming backdrop to her life but a very real part of Swift’s origin story. Before the Swifts packed up and moved to Nashville to pursue her musical dreams, they ran a Christmas tree farm where young Taylor took on some unexpected responsibilities.

One of the standout moments from her time on the farm is her job collecting praying mantises, which has resurfaced in a nostalgic video just in time for the holiday season. The clip, originally from a 2009 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, sees Swift explaining her childhood duties with a touch of humor and fondness.

“I would walk around the Christmas trees all day and pick them off and put them in a little basket… so people wouldn’t have bugs in their houses,” she recalled, describing how the mantises would lay eggs in the pods of Douglas firs, infesting the trees. While many may associate a Christmas tree farm with festive cheer and the smell of pine, for young Taylor, it was also a world of insect management. Swift noted that the mantises favored the Christmas trees for their nesting, which gave her the somewhat unusual task of removing the eggs to keep the trees pest-free for buyers.

This memory resurfacing is not just a quirky throwback to her childhood—it also ties into her longstanding connection to the Christmas season, one that has become a central theme in her life and music. As she shared with Esquire in 2014, growing up on the farm instilled in her an “unnatural level of excitement” for both the fall and holiday seasons. “It was such a weird place to grow up,” Swift reflected, but it helped cement her enduring love for the holidays and the traditions that come with them.

Her connection to the Christmas tree farm has also made its way into her music, most notably with the release of her 2019 Christmas song, Christmas Tree Farm. The track, a joyful and upbeat holiday anthem, was accompanied by a music video featuring real-life footage from the Swift family’s holiday home videos, offering fans a glimpse into the idyllic, festive atmosphere of her childhood. The song and video are a celebratory tribute to the memories of her youth spent surrounded by trees, family, and the joy of the season.

In revisiting her early experiences, Swift has not only shared cherished memories of her upbringing but also demonstrated the lasting influence of those years spent on the farm. It’s clear that her Christmas tree farm days shaped not just her love for the holidays but also her deep connection to the traditions that have made her the icon she is today. Fans have long been enchanted by the stories she weaves into her music, and this latest video continues to add a rich layer to her personal narrative, showcasing a side of Taylor Swift that remains deeply rooted in simplicity and nostalgia.

Although he already created an impressive career in the music industry, Snoop Dogg continues to stay busy. In 2024, he appeared as a correspondent during the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Just a few months later he landed on the hit show The Voice as a coach. Although Sofronio Vasquez won season 26 for Michael Bublé, fans loved watching the rapper interact with the contestants. And if that wasn’t enough, he released his new album Missionary, which featured stars like Jelly Roll. And speaking of Jelly Roll, the country singer watched as Snoop Dogg offered his son a special Christmas gift.

Throughout the years, Jelly Roll and the rapper appeared to become friends. Not only did Jelly Roll appear of his latest album, but the country singer welcomed Snoop Dogg to his stage. Touring the country with his Beautifully Broken tour, the singer brought him out as the two shared a joint on stage. But this time, things were a bit more casual as the rapper met Jelly Roll’s son.

Asking Snoop Dogg to sign his cast, the boy, Noah, watched as the rapper wrote “Big Snoop Fortnite Dogg.” To the shock of Noah, he realized Snoop Dogg played Fortnite. When the rapper asked Noah if he had his skin, the boy admitted he didn’t. Not wanting him to miss out, Snoop Dogg insisted, “V-bucks and the skin coming right up, buddy. There’s no way you’re not gonna have it. Say less. I got this. 50,000 V-bucks for my nephew for Christmas.”

For those who might not be familiar with Fortnite, the massive battle royal game offered a unique approach to gaming with vibrant colors and a long list of collaborations. With the game constantly welcoming new fans, 50,000 v-bucks, currency used in the game, comes at a hefty price. According to reports, 50,000 v-bucks will cost around $400.

Sharing the moment between Snoop Dogg and his son, Jelly Roll posted the video on his Instagram page. He captioned the post, writing, “Big Snoop Fortnite Dogg. I seriously can’t thank you enough bubba this was so cool.”

“Read This”: Blake Lively’s Co-Star Brandon Sklenar Supports Complaint With Fiery Message

Brandon Sklenar stood alongside other industry stars in a show of support for Blake Lively following her sexual harassement complaint against Justin Baldoni.

Sklenar, who played Atlas Corrigan in It Ends With Usshared an Instagram Story urging his followers to read the complaint filed by the Gossip Girl alum.

The film was an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel and saw Lively play the character of Lily Bloom while Justin directed the movie and played the role of Ryle Kincaid.

Rumors about strife between Baldoni and Lively have been surrounding the film for months, and the controversy continues to unravel after the 37-year-old actress filed the legal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department.

Sklenar expressed his support by sharing a screenshot of her complaint as an Instagram Story on Monday, December 23.

“FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THIS,” wrote the 34-year-old actor. He also included a link to the New York Times‘ archive of the legal documents.

Amid rumors of disagreements on the It Ends with Us setSklenar had shared a lengthy message on social media in August to address the “stuff swirling online.”

Justin Baldoni was accused of creating a “hostile work environment” and treating her like an “object,” as per Lively’s complaint

“Colleen and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves,” he wrote in a fiery message.

“Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about,” the 1923 star wrote.

“It is, in fact, the opposite of the point. What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film,” he continued. “It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

Lively’s complaint was filed against not only Baldoni but also his production company Wayfarer Studios, its co-founder Steve Sarowitz, It Ends with Us lead producer Jamey Heath, and others.

The complaint is expected to lead to a discrimination lawsuit in California.

In her complaint, The Shallows actress accused her co-star of creating a “hostile work environment” during the movie’s production and later orchestrating a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.

She also alleged that he treated her as a “sex object” and allowed his “friends” to watch her film intimate scenes. He also allegedly entered her trailer while she was naked on one occasion and would fixate over her weight and physical appearance.

The red carpet queen further accused the director of hiring PR experts Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel and conspiring with them to create a social media campaign to “help change” the “narrative” against her.

Text messages allegedly exchanged between Baldoni and Abel show him asking her “what is the TikTok strategy.”

“I’d like you guys to start posting me ONLY talking about domestic violence and clips and why this movie is so important,” he said in one text.

Bryan Freedman, the lawyer representing Baldoni, responded to the claims against his client and called Lively’s complaint “categorically false.”

Abel also posted a statement on social media, defending the text messages she exchanged with Baldoni and other PR experts.

“What the cherry picked messages don’t include, although not shockingly as it doesn’t fit the narrative, is that there was no ‘smear’ implemented,” she wrote. “No negative press was ever facilitated, no social combat plan, although we were prepared for it as it’s our job to be ready for any scenario.”

“FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THIS,” Sklenar wrote in an Instagram Story and shared a link to the legal complaint

“But we didn’t have to implement anything because the internet was doing the work for us,” continued the PR expert. “Sure we talked about it, contemplated if we needed certain things, flagged accounts that we needed to monitor, worked with a social team to help us stay on top of the narrative so we could act quickly if needed.”

“And yes, we rejoiced and joked in the fact that fans were recognizing our clients heart and work without us having to do anything but keep our heads down and focus on positive interviews for our client,” she added.

A number of industry heavyweights have expressed support for Blake in light of the sexual harassment controversy.

Author Colleen wrote on social media, “You have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met.”

“Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt,” she added.

“Colleen and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance,” Sklenar wrote in a passionate statement shared in August

Fellow stars America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel, who starred alongside Lively in Sister of the Traveling Pants, released a joint statement.

“As Blake’s friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation,” read their statement.

“Throughout the filming of It Ends with Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice,” the statement continued.

“Most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors’ stories to silence a woman who asked for safety,” they added. “The hypocrisy is astounding.”

Amy Schumer also pledged support with three simple words: “I believe Blake.”

“I love that she is getting support,” one social media user said

Ryan Reynolds Trashed For Claiming Wife Blake Lively Grew Up ‘Very Working Class’

Actor Ryan Reynolds is being mocked on social media for claiming that he and his wife, fellow Hollywood celebrity Blake Lively, come from “working-class” backgrounds.

The 48-year-old initially made the comments as part of an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. That piece was published on December 13, but the remark went viral after it surfaced on the official Instagram account for The Cut magazine on Wednesday.

Reynolds had been discussing how he and Lively try to give their four children “as normal a life as possible” despite being rich and famous.

“I try not to impose upon them the difference in their childhood to my childhood or my wife’s childhood,” the Canadian actor told THR. “We both grew up very working class, and I remember when they were very young, I used to say or think, like, ‘Oh God, I would never have had a gift like this when I was a kid,’ or, ‘I never would’ve had this luxury of getting takeout,’ or whatever.”

“Then I realized that that’s not really their bag of rocks to carry,” Reynolds added.

These statements are causing backlash mostly because Lively is understood to be one of the most infamous “nepo baby” stars who grew up in the industry. The actress’s father, Ernie, is an actor and director, while her mother, Elaine, works as a talent manager. All four of Lively’s other siblings are also working actors.

Commenters on Instagram made fun of Reynold’s claim.

“Quick search: She grew up in Tarzana and then went to Burbank High. Her whole family was in the entertainment business. She was cast in Sisterhood for the Traveling Pants while she was a teen. It’s giving at least middle class [vibes],” one person wrote. “Anyway none of that matters [because] she’s rich and insufferable now.”

“More and more I’m learning that rich people say ‘working class’ when they mean ‘had a salary,’” a second agreed.

“Just because her parents worked, doesn’t make them working class,” a third agreed.

This isn’t the first time a celebrity got called out for identifying as working class. Soccer star David Beckham corrected his wife, Victoria, when she claimed to come from a “working class” background during an episode of their Netflix special that aired last October.

She said, “I think also we both come from families that work really hard. Both of our parents work very hard, we’re very working class.”

David interrupted from the next room and corrected his wife, urging her to “Be honest!”

“I am being honest,” Victoria said. Then David pushed her and asked, “What car did your dad drive you to school in?”

Several people echoed the “Be honest” line in response to Reynold’s latest comments about Lively.
