It’s clear this Hollywood legend has nothing but adoration for her family.

“I look at our kids and grandchildren and there’s nothing in the world that could make me as proud as I am of all them,” she said, as per Australian Women’s Weekly.

“Being a grandmother is amazing, I love it,” says Goldie. “It brings incredible joy. Family is so important.”

Because of the repeated moves the family underwent due to his father’s steel industry employment.He was given the name Samson and weighed an amazing 11 pounds, 6 ounces when he was born. He eventually grew to be 6 feet 4 inches tall.

He relocated to Seattle after finishing high school and worked as a lifeguard there before getting enlisted in the American Army in 1950.

But many people are unaware of the fact that Eastwood, at 21 years old, was a passenger on a naval plane from World War II that crashed in the Pacific.

“I was catching a free ride from Seattle down to Almeda,” Eastwood said in an interview.

“It was stormy and we went down off of Point Reyes, California, in the Pacific. I found myself in the water swimming a few miles towards the shore. I remember thinking, ‘well, 21 is not as long as a person wants to live.’”

After swimming through kelp beds for many hours in the Pacific, Eastwood finally reached shore and scaled a bluff to send out a distress call.

When he was directing the Tom Hanks-starring biographical film Sully: Miracle on the Hudson in 2016, this experience proved to be quite helpful.

The critically acclaimed film depicts the 2009 emergency Hudson River landing of US Airways Flight 1549, in which all 155 passengers and crew members were saved.

In the movie, Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who was later overruled by his superiors, made the split-second decision to land the jet in the icy Hudson River.

“I suppose having been in a similar situation as the pilot, I would have chanced a water landing rather than go someplace where there’s no runway,” Eastwood said in The Telegraph interview.

“And of course, Sully was familiar with that area…he picked the right spot…He knew that somebody would see them” he continued.

Despite the remarkable landing Sully accomplished and the lives he saved, Eastwood was more fascinated by what happened next.

“Anybody who keeps their wits about them when things are going wrong, who can negotiate problems without panicking, is someone of superior character, and interesting to watch on film,” Eastwood said.

“But for me, the real conflict came after, with the investigative board questioning his decisions, even though he had saved so many lives.”

A well-liked country music performer is Toby Keith. His supporters were very concerned when the news of his cancer diagnosis became public.

The artist, however, has been regularly updating his followers, and he has just shared some significant career news on Instagram.

Tricia Lucus, Toby Keith’s wife, has been his partner for almost 40 years. Even before his cancer diagnosis and treatment, Lucus remained by his side through good times and bad.

There was a time when Toby Keith had little to his name and struggled to establish himself.In 1979, Toby Keith received his high school diploma from Moore.

He accepted a job working in the oil fields right out of high school, earning $50,000 a year.

Keith had a passion for music even back then. Later, he revealed that, up until that moment, he had probably composed “200 to 300 songs,” but only one of them would go on to become a hit.

Easy Money is a band that Toby Keith founded. When he wasn’t working, he would play his songs at other clubs and places. When he was playing with his band at a bar, this is how he met his future bride.

The two of them spent the entire night dancing after he met Tricia Lucus. At the time, Lucus was a 19-year-old secretary for an oil business. Later, in June 2001, she spoke with People Magazine about what drew her to Toby Keith. He was one of those over-the-top, self-assured individuals, she added.

On March 24, 1984, the pair tied the knot after three years of dating. In 1980, Lucus gave birth to a daughter from a prior relationship. Toby Keith later took her in as his own child.

He recently wrote an update on Instagram saying how his fans are the “best.” Adding, “Thank you all for your love and support. I have the best fans in the world.”

Melissa Sue Anderson has been blissfully married to her husband for 30+ years but keeps a low profile on purpose

Little House on the Prairie is a famous drama series about the Ingalls family’s experiences at the turn of the 20th century that an entire generation of TV viewers vividly remembers.

It’s a show that frequently leaves viewers thinking, “Where are they now?” due to its large ensemble of endearing characters and performances.

One of the performers that left show business behind was Melissa Sue Anderson, who played Mary Ingalls on the program. Recently, she explained why she departed Hollywood and the spotlight.

In Berkeley, California, Melissa Sue Anderson was born on September 26, 1962. She was an introverted child who preferred reading books to climbing trees. However, the young lady with the marble-clear blue eyes quickly caught the attention of everyone around her for her stage presence. One of the girl’s dance instructors suggested to her parents that they speak with an agency.

Anderson, an A-student, started her acting career as a child actress, playing the character of Millicent on The Brady Bunch and Bewitched, where she gave Bobby his first kiss. However, after being cast as Mary Ingalls, one of the main characters, in Little House, she had her big break and defining role.

She had a starring role for the first seven seasons and guest roles for the last eight. Anderson was nominated for the award for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series as well.

“I’m lucky that there even was a character to play, because in the book, there isn’t much of one,” she tells me from her home in Montreal.  “Laura [Ingalls, author of the Little House novels upon which the series was based and the story was centered] was a quite older woman when she wrote the books. She was remembering the best of her life. The characters of Ma and Mary didn’t factor in a lot. There was a lot of Laura and Pa and Laura and Jack the dog and Laura and Mr. Edwards, but there wasn’t a lot of Mary. I’m fortunate that they discovered that I could act,” Anderson told Pop Entertainment in 2010.

It wasn’t simple for the young actress, who was still in high school, to rise to fame as one of the nation’s most recognizable faces.

”A lot of kids at school are curious and ask inappropriate questions, like, ’How much do you make?’ That’s embarrassing. I’ll just give them a look that lets them know what I think of the question or tell them it’s none of their business,” she told Iowa City Press-Citizen in 1977.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Anderson made almost $1.5 million during the course of her Hollywood career. But the young actress’s pay wasn’t all that high when she worked at Little House.

”Everybody thinks actors make a lot of money. But we don’t. At least, not by the time we pay certain costs. Its cast of adored characters and the performers who played them, all of whom achieved breakthrough fame as a result of the show, are a major factor in its popularity and durability. Young performers like Melissa Gilbert Sue became household names thanks to the program, which also handed veteran actor Michael Landon his most iconic role to date as the family’s “Pa,” Charles Ingalls.

But according to Melissa, the alleged romance was blown out of proportion.

”He is just a very good friend,” she said. Melissa wed television producer Michael Sloan in 1990. They have a boy named Griffin (born 1996) and a daughter named Piper (born 1991). She decided to become a Canadian citizen as a result of family life. The family relocated to Montreal in 2002, and in 2007 they were granted citizenship.

“The whole family is Canadian exactly now, and my husband and I had to take the test, and we studied and studied and studied,” she said in an interview with E-Talk.

She also admitted that she intended to take a break from the entertainment industry while her children grew up in order to spend more time with them and prevent any pressure to follow in her footsteps and become child stars.

“I really stepped away for a long time,” she said. “That was really for the kids so they would have their own sense of who they were as opposed to being with me.”

She claimed that her children are no longer interested in performing, yet despite this, she has returned to the spotlight by taking on modest TV and film roles. In an interview from her New York home, Close said she was relieved to be reunited with her dog after a busy schedule that included time spent in isolation following a Covid diagnosis that prevented her from attending the 2023 Oscars, where she had planned to give an award alongside Harrison Ford.

The Reversal of Fortune actress also said that she would soon be starring alongside Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz in the Netflix comedy-action movie Back in Action.

A mutual love that is palpable. On Close’s birthday, Annie posted a throwback photo of her mom with Michael Douglas and Eddie Murphy, and captioned it, “Happy birthday Queen!!! You legend!!! We love you!!!”

And in January 2019, before the 91st Academy Awards, where Close was nominated for The Wife, Annie posted a photo of the two and calling out @theacademy, she wrote, “You deserve EVERY goddamn award in existence… but especially THIS ONE. CONGRATULATIONS”

Close lost that year to Olivia Coleman’s performance in The Favourite. The star’s eighth Oscar nomination was for Hillbilly Elegy (2020) where she played the mother of Amy Adams.

It’s not surprising that Close, who played the enraged bunny boiler in 1987, appears older given that he has performed on stage or in films for more than 40 years.

Though she admits that sometimes it’s hard to not play into Hollywood’s beauty game, she says, “I’ve always felt that my body is not really who I am. We have this house, if you will, that we look out of during our whole life, and it’s not who you are. It’s made me think about it because I’m 75, and I look out in the world, and I feel like I’m looking out in the world with the energy of somebody in their 20s. And that’s who I am.”

She continues, “But I look at my arm in the morning at a certain light and I go, ‘Ah! Are you kidding me? Whose arm is this? Are you kidding?’ And it’s like, Okay, I see; it’s happening. So, I’m trying to come to the point that I just embrace my—what’s the word they use for it? Creepy skin?” Explaining that she’s determined, every day, to find beauty in even her aging skin.

“Is there a beauty in it? I try to think that maybe it looks like the sand after the tide has gone out. We are so brainwashed about skin. Certainly, about women’s skin. The texture of your skin, and the warm, the hard, smooth bodies against the ones that are fighting to get a waist again. It’s actually fascinating to me, because as our house ages, we should get more and more interesting and interested. And yet you have this facade that people see.”

Her outward appearance exudes grace and prodigious talent. Close continues to push herself in addition to playing roles in box office hits. For her role in Tehran, the critically acclaimed Apple+ thriller’s second season, she dons a habib and speaks fluent Farsi, marking a first for her career.

“I studied for about two months,” she said. “I had three lessons a day. I said to everyone, ‘I want to speak Farsi that will surprise Farsi speakers.’ And so we worked really hard.”

But while “Big 4” has been quiet, there’s still another LSU teammate who’s been speaking up about Angel’s impact, Aneesah Morrow. Morrow, who’s making quite a name for herself in her first year at LSU, opened up about the void left by Reese’s departure.

When asked about the team’s dynamic without Reese, Morrow shared, “A lot of people still ask us, ‘Where’s Angel?’” The rookie was quick to assure fans that Reese is doing her own thing. “She’s doing her own thing,” Morrow said, smiling.

“What Angel’s done for the game cannot be replaced,” Morrow continued. The senior guard didn’t shy away from acknowledging how much of a force Angel Reese was. She added, “She was dominant every night. She never seemed like she was rattled. No matter what a team threw at her, she was ready for it.” Those are some pretty big shoes to fill, right?

But Morrow has stepped up in a big way this season. She’s averaging an impressive 18.3 points and 14 rebounds per game and currently leads the country in total rebounds and rebounds per game. She’s doing everything she can to keep LSU on top, and with the Tigers undefeated at 14-0, it shows.

While Morrow is putting in good numbers, it’s the junior guard who continues to lead the program. Flau’jae is averaging 20.9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, shooting an impressive 51.9%. Meanwhile, back in 2023, Flau’jae and Angel Reese were the ones leading LSU to the NCAA title.

Now, though, it’s Flau’jae leading the charge, and while she’s still showing respect for Reese’s achievements, she’s not as vocal about their past bond. So, what happened between these two?

Meanwhile, Flau’jae echoed similar sentiments, saying, “I still support her 1000 percent. I was proud of her, just being in the WNBA and breaking records.” However, she admitted that they aren’t as close anymore, and that’s just part of life.

This shift in their relationship may stem from multiple factors, including personal differences and, perhaps, the friction that arose when their mothers got into a heated exchange on social media. But just because Big 4 is not talking about her once bestie doesn’t mean she’s quiet on everything.

Caitlin Clark has been named AP Female Athlete of the Year as the WNBA superstar beat out Simone Biles to the prestigious award.

Having enjoyed a record-breaking spell at Iowa, Clark departed college as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark dominated on the court, finishing as the WNBA Rookie of the Year after posting 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game while setting several records – including the single-game assist record (19).

Clark led the Indiana Fever to their first playoff berth since 2016 and is spearheading a women’s sporting revolution. The 22-year-old’s unique appeal transitioned to the professional level too, with Clark’s Fever regularly breaking the record for the most-watched WNBA game in history.

Earlier this month, Clark was announced as TIME Magazine’s Athlete of the Year for 2024. She has swiftly added another accolade to her collection after Clark was named the AP Female Athlete of the Year for 2024.

To name the Fever guard the winner, 75 sports journalists from the Associated Press and its members cast their votes with Clark clinching 35. Olympics icon Biles came second with 25 votes, while boxer Imane Khelif received four.

Clark’s win is monumental – she is the fourth pro women’s basketball player to claim the award since its inception in 1931. The reigning Rookie of the Year joins an exclusive list of basketball legends such as Sheryl Swoopes (1993), Rebecca Lobo (1995), and Candace Parker (2008 and 2021).

In a phone interview with AP to receive the award, Clark mentioned her admiration for Parker – but notably did not mention the outspoken Swoopes. Clark said: “I grew up a fan of Candace Parker and the people who came before me, and to be honored in this way is super special, and I’m thankful. It was a great year for women’s basketball and women’s sports.”

Swoopes has consistently downplayed Clark’s performances in the WNBA ever since she arrived in the league. Clark’s individual success is certainly a testament to the rise of women’s sports and women’s basketball, but her role as a catalyst should not be downplayed.

Rather than play down the influence of Clark, Lobo has heaped praise on her. In an AP interview, The 51-year-old said of Clark: “She’s brought unprecedented attention both in the building, but also viewership to the sport that was worthy of it but didn’t have it yet. There’s never been anything like this. That timeframe from 1995-97 was a baby step in the progression of it all.

“This is a giant leap forward. I’ve never seen anything like this. There’s more attention than the sport’s ever had.”

Basketball star Angel Reese has praised WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu as standout three-point shooters in the league.

In October, Ionescu secured her first championship title at 27 with the New York Liberty, defeating the Minnesota Lynx. Meanwhile, Reese, alongside her peer Clark, made an instant impact on professional basketball following impressive college stints.

The two had previously clashed in the 2024 NCAA championship, where Reese’s LSU triumphed over Clark’s Iowa, where she set records for scoring and assists.

During a conversation with comedian Funny Marco on Reese’s podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel’, she expressed admiration for both Clark and Ionescu, alongside Marco’s recommended picks of Breanna Stewart and Ionescu.

Marco inquired about Reese’s picks for top shooters, to which she initially replied: “Between Caitlin, Diana Taurasi..” She then agreed with the other suggestions of Breanna Stewart and Ionescu.

Clark led the way at the top of the leaderboard with a 34.4 percent efficiency with three pointers. That edged out Taurasi (33.3 percent) with Ionescu hot on their heels at 33.2 percent.

Stewart, a triple-champion, experienced her worst three-point shooting season, netting only 29.5 percent.

Clark previously praised Reese’s skills earlier this year, stating: “The thing that really stands out is the offensive rebounding. She did the exact same thing to us when we were in college too.

“She’s just such a great offensive rebounder. She’s always just had a knack for that. It’s not always something you can teach. I think she just has a really good eye for the ball off the rim and can go get it.”

Chicago Sky struggled this season with a disappointing 13-27 record, despite Reese’s efforts, while Clark led the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016.

Christmas is over for the Mahomes family, but a prominent member still needs prayers.

Randi shared a story on her Instagram handle with her father, who has been facing health challenges. “Asking for prayers for my father,” Randi wrote in her story.

On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated this holiday season with a commanding 29-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The win moved them to 15-1, clinching the AFC’s top postseason seed with the coveted first-round bye.

That means the team will have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Not only that, the players do not have to play in the final regular season game.

The Kansas City quarterback fully understands how important all of this is.

“It’s just going to be nice getting guys healthy,” Mahomes said.

‘Prayer warriors, please pray for my daddy,’ she wrote on September 13. ‘He is in the hospital and is not well.’

Randi did not reveal exactly what the elder Mahomes is going through, which requires prayers.

“This was the earliest bye I’ve ever had, just in general. To kind of have had this grind of whatever it is, I think we had a bye on Week 6, so it’s like almost 10 weeks of just football and grinding this short schedule at the very end of the year. We had some guys banged up, and to get them back healthy now, we’ll see how Week 18 goes and who plays and who doesn’t play, that’s up to coach, but even getting this little break, getting back healthy, and then getting ourselves ready to go for the playoffs, it was super important, especially with the guys we have banged -up.”
