For them, it is still the elimination round and it will be a long stretch before the playoffs.

The team bowed to the New York Knicks for the second time this season, with both instances are losses by double digits.

They lost three times each against the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers although one can say that the Bucks could have won one or two games against those Eastern contenders.

Lillard is clinging to that statement. He is not that worried that they have a losing record in the elimination round against the Top 3. He is charging it from experience.

Talking to reporters post-game, Lillard brought up his time with Portland Trailblazers to put into perspective their current record versus the top teams in their conference.

It was in the 2018-2019 season when the Blazers lost four times to the Oklahoma City Thunder led by Paul George and Russell Westbrook at that time. The playoffs are like a different league and the Blazers and Lillard made sure to elevate their play and beat the Thunder in five games in the first round.

That run includes his epic walk-off game winner in front of Paul George.

Damian Lillard said they should learn lessons from those losses

Lillard is not dismissing those losses though. He said they should still make dent on their mindset as the season goes along.

“I think for us, we’ve just got to understand how a lot of these games have gone. Against New York, we’ve struggled,” he said as quoted by The Athletic’s Eric Nehm.

It is not just the bad habits that the Bucks must take note of. Even the things they did right that almost won them the games.

“Against Cleveland, I feel like we’ve played really well. … Against Boston, we’ve been in all of those games. A possession here, a possession there, we could have won all of those games. I think it’s a long season, it’s a journey. When we look at our matchups with those teams, we’ve just gotta understand what it was.”

An elderly retired actress has been found dead in her Los Angeles home after it was burned to the ground amid the raging wildfires.

Dalyce Curry, 95, died after the Eaton Fire tore through her property in Altadena just north of LA , her family has confirmed in heartbreaking social media updates.

Known as ‘Momma D’ to her family, the former actress appeared as an extra in The Blues Brothers, The Ten Commandments and Lady Sings the Blues during her Hollywood heyday.

California first responders uncovered her remains 6pm Sunday. One of Curry’s great-grandchildren, Dalyce Kelley, confirmed the sad news on Facebook.

‘About an hour ago the coroner confirmed her remains were found at the property,’ she wrote on Sunday evening.

Kelley earlier posted shocking footage of her grandmother’s fire-damaged Cadillac and home, which had been razed to the ground by the devastating wildfire.

She combed through her great-grandmother’s ruined belongings, while identifying her bicycle, refrigerator, and door amid the charred remains.

‘This was the kitchen,’ Kelley said as she walked through the post-apocalyptic scene, with the sky still glowing orange with wildfires on the horizon.

Kelley, who is her great-grandmother’s caregiver, last saw Curry when she dropped her off at the home from the hospital around midnight on Tuesday.

She left to take care of other relatives, and didn’t realize the Eaton Fire, which was sparked just hours before, would escalate into the deadly blaze it has become.

Kelley woke up to a text alert warning her the power had cut at Curry’s home. She drove back to Altadena to check on her, but was stopped by police.

An officer told her Curry’s home was ‘totally burned down’ and advised her to check the Pasadena Civic Center where displaced residents were being looked after.

The next five days were a nightmare for the family, as they waited to hear news about Curry and combed the carnage hoping to find her.

A National Guardsman escorted Kelley to Curry’s home on Friday, when she filmed the warzone-like scene.

‘It was total devastation,’ Kelley told ABC7. ‘Everything was gone except her blue Cadillac.’

As the official death toll climbs to 24, anxious residents are preparing for another 72 hours of hellish weather conditions expected to propel the fires in new directions.

The death toll is expected to climb, with at least 16 people still missing and 150,000 forced to evacuate their homes.

Local fire departments have warned that harsher winds and more fire would prevent those under mandatory evacuation orders from returning home to assess the damage.

‘Life-threatening winds and dangerously low humidity are forecast for much of Southern California, creating a significant risk of rapid fire spread,’ the California fire service (CalFire) said in a statement. ‘The winds will cause increased fire activity.’

The Eaton Fire near Pasadena and the Palisades Fire, in a wealthy enclave along the Pacific Coast, alone accounted for 59 square miles (nearly 153 square kilometers).

Nearly 70,000 customers were without power across California as of Sunday, more than half of them in Los Angeles County, according to PowerOutrage.com.

Extreme dry weather conditions due to a prolonged drought, dry vegetation and powerful Santa Ana winds that reached up to 80 mph in some areas this week created the ‘perfect storm’ for the fires.

Two people have also been arrested for allegedly lighting fires in the county too, including Ruben Montes, 29, who was detained for arson on Sunday in Irwindale, roughly 16 miles away from Altadena, where the deadly Eaton Fire continues to rage.

Mexican national Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva, was also taken into custody after allegedly being caught on video walking with a yellow blowtorch before he was confronted by residents in Calabasas, west of Beverly Hills.

Keith Urban is parting ways with his longtime guitar player and band leader, Jerry Flowers. Despite the bittersweet nature of this news, Flowers, who has worked with Urban for over 25 years, shared that he is looking forward to this next chapter.

The pair of musicians have been side-by-side watching each other’s careers blossom since 1997 when they formed the Australian-American country music trio, The Ranch. Before disbanding in 1998, the group, consisting of Urban (guitar, keyboards and vocals), Flowers (bass guitar and background vocals) and Peter Clarke (drums and vocals), released a self-titled album via Capitol records and two singles, “Walkin’ the Country” and “Just Some Love.”

Announcing His Departure

Flowers remained a part of Urban’s band once he resumed his solo career and has continued to rock stages across the world with the Australian singer/songwriter. With a “heavy but full heart,” the masterful guitarist took to Instagram to share the news of his departure and reflect on his many years with Urban. In doing so, he revealed that the decision comes as a result of the “Messed Up As Me” singer making a “lineup change” that does not include Flowers.

“I have and always will have the utmost respect and love for Keith and I treasure the amazing years we had together,” he wrote alongside a slideshow of photos from his time in Urban’s band. “I want to thank all the fans that have showed me so much love for so many years and I hope I was a small part of bringing you joy and happiness thru our shows.”

Shortly after Flowers’ announcement today, two other members of Keith Urban’s band came forward to share that they will also be closing their chapter with the “Straight Line” singer. GRAMMY nominated drummer Terence F. Clark and lead guitar player, backup singer, and keyboard player Nathan Barlowe both took to social media to thank Urban for the time they spent together on stage and expressed hopefulness for whatever future opportunities may come their way.

Recently, Hollywood star Dalyce Curry, 95, was found dead at her home in Los Angeles after her home was engulfed in flames spreading in the area at 6 p.m. on Jan. 12.

Dalyce Curry’s granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, told ABC News that she was last seen on Jan. 7, the time of the Eaton fire. And it was Kelley who confirmed that Dalyce Curry’s body had been found at his home:

“We are deeply saddened and cannot understand why her life ended the way it did,” Kelley said

The granddaughter said the last time she saw her grandmother was when she took Dalyce to her home in Altadena (Los Angeles) around midnight on January 7. Although she saw the fire in the distance, Kelley was forced to leave because she needed to take care of her sister who was suffering from cancer and did not feel that danger was imminent.

The actress’s house was completely burned down.

The next day, Kelley wakes up to a text message warning that her house has lost power, so she rushes to check it out. A police officer informed her that the property in the house had been completely burned down and advised Kelley to go to the Pasadena Community Center, where residents had been evacuated.

However, all are completely desperate when there is no sign that the actress has been brought here. After 5 days of searching, her body was found at her home completely burned.

Post Malone is being praised for delivering “a Christmas miracle” to a single mother working as a bartender in a local Texas dive bar.

On a night people often spend with their families, 36-year-old Renee Brown, was putting the hours at The Railyard and struggling with the fact that she wasn’t spending the holiday with her 9-year-old daughter, Iliana. Little did the Virginia native know that during her late-night shift, she would meet a genre-bending star who would completely change her life in a matter of seconds.

“The day started off super slow, and I was just taking it as it was, trying to be in a good mood for others while dealing with not being able to spend Christmas Eve with my daughter,” she said while recounting the events to Music Mayhem. “We usually bake cookies and watch Christmas movies, and this was the first time I wasn’t able to do that.”

The Generous Artist Makes An Appearance In The Local Dive Bar

The neighborhood establishment started to fill up with locals and various customers looking to celebrate the festive evening. Suddenly word began to spread that one of those patrons was Post Malone (whose real name is Austin Post) alongside some of fellow chart-stopping friends, including “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” singer, Shaboozey.

“I initially didn’t realize he was there until one of my coworkers from my second job came inside and told me that Austin [Post Malone] was outside on the patio,” Renee continued as she recalled the events of the evening. “I thought he was kidding with me at first, then I kept seeing people go outside [and] I kept making drinks for like 30 minutes before curiosity got the best of me, and lo and behold, he was there.”

Although excitement was bubbling inside her upon hearing the news that the “I Had Some Help” singer was in her presence, Renee kept her cool and encouraged those around her to do the same. Her actions allowed Malone to have a night of “normalcy,” offering him a break from his usual fan encounters that likely occur wherever he goes.

“I told all my regulars not to be weird and bug him as it’s a neighborhood dive bar, and I’m sure he picked a place like that to feel a sense of normalcy,” she shared.

The Superstar’s Presence Left Everyone Feeling Joyful

It seemed that both staff and customers were happy to treat Malone like anyone else who entered into the bar and in turn, his bright personality and carefree energy “lifted the spirits of the entire bar.”

“It was amazing to see everyone so happy and seeing how kind he was to all the people that spend their days with me on the regular,” Renee added.

As Malone’s night of merriment on The Railyard’s patio neared the end and Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) turned into Christmas morning (Dec. 25), he went to close out with Renee. To his surprise, he found that his bill was already paid in full by several of the customers and his friends.

“Everyone that he was with was also so kind and inviting, we had a great night jamming to songs on the jukebox. Then came time for last call and to close. When Austin asked for his check, he didn’t have one because many regulars and his friends bought his beverages,” Renee remembered.

$20,000 Tip On A Penny Tab

While appreciative of the kind gesture, he wanted to make sure that the bartender did not go home empty handed. So in return for her excellent service, Renee received a generous $20,000 tip from Malone.

“So he asked me to ring him up for a penny or anything, so I did. I continued my close and collected all my checks and started to enter my tips. Then I got to his. It was a tip for 20,000 dollars,” she said as she recalled seeing the remarkable number on the receipt.

Renee was understandably overcome with emotions in this moment that not only had a life-changing effect on her, but also her family who was awaiting her return on Christmas day.

“I immediately broke down crying. It was a very emotional night already being away from home, being swamped behind the bar, trying to process that they were even there and then the tip on top,” she said.

The Moment Everything Changed For The Single Mom

Renee went on to illustrate how “incredibly tough” it has been trying to balance her life as a single mom, knowing that all the responsibilities fall in her hands.

“I work two jobs and home school my daughter. I’m constantly exhausted. We’ve been without a car for two years. And recently moved after losing everything and starting over from scratch in August of 2024,” the bartender admitted.

This $20,000 may have been a small token of appreciation in Malone’s eyes, however it is completely transformative for Renee and her daughter. She told the outlet how she plans to use the money to get a form of transportation to and from work in addition to putting some of it aside in savings.

“This put me in a position to at least be able to get a way back and forth to work and pay up on rent and save a bit. I’m trying to save up to start a business, so I don’t have to continue working two jobs and be able to spend more time with my daughter. Things have been extremely difficult, and this was truly a blessing that I can’t fully put into words. The visit alone was absolutely amazing and something I could talk about and remember for the rest of my life.”

“He Helped Me In Ways I Can’t Even Begin To Explain”

She had the opportunity to put her work aside for a few moments and thank the beloved singer/songwriter in person. Even though he may never fully understand the magnitude of the tip, Renee said she hopes he felt her gratitude as she spoke to him with tears in her eyes.

“If this message reaches him, I know I told him that night how grateful I am, but I’d like to reiterate that he helped me in ways I can’t even begin to explain,” she shared. “My best friend [Matthew] and I have been huge fans of him for years, and it was amazing we got to meet him and experience that moment.”

Renee went into her shift that night thinking she would have a lingering sadness about not being able to spend Christmas Eve with her only child. Luckily that sadness was replaced by hope, thanks to Post Malone.

“Going into work Christmas Eve, I was so sad I had to leave my baby girl to go to work. Oblivious that God would send me a Christmas miracle,” Renee told the outlet in conclusion. “This is hands down the most humble, personable celebrity I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He changed my life on Christmas f—king Eve, and will forever be grateful. Thank you so much, Austin.”

“I don’t think he was necessarily mean,” one of his defenders wrote, noting he seemed “irritated” after “being yelled at by a bunch of people.”

Another user applauded Timberlake’s response, calling it “appropriate.” Still, others pointed out how Timberlake was actually the one being harassed, questioning how him lashing out would be seen as mean.

Things haven’t been easy for Timberlake as of late.

In September 2024, Timberlake pleaded guilty to drunk driving in Sag Harbor, N.Y., after he was arrested in June 2024 for being under the influence. Before his run-in with the law, at the end of 2023, Timberlake took a lot of heat when Britney Spears released her memoir.

In her book, The Woman in Me, Spears claimed she had an abortion when she was with Timberlake due to him not being ready to be a father.

After this revelation, Timberlake released his album Everything I Thought It Was in March 2024. The album was considered a flop, only lasting four weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

During a recent appearance on The Guitar Hang Podcast, Phil X  said replacing Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi wasn’t just about luck.

“In 2011 I get a call from Jon Bon Jovi to fill in for Richie Sambora and you’re like ‘How the f*ck did that happen?’” the guitarist recalled. “But it did and then, Richie came back and then in 2013, he didn’t come back.”

He continued, “So I’ve been with Bon Jovi since but it’s one of those things, ‘Man, how am I doing this? How is this happening?’ Every time I go on stage, I’m having the time in my life and in front of 80,000 people or 20,000 people or… I mean it’s the arenas are 20 and the stadiums are 80 or Rock in Rio, which is 100 plus thousand.”

“You’re doing that and you’re just having the time of your life and I think that says a lot when you get to do something like that. So, every whatever got me here and whoever helped, thank you. I think I definitely put the work in. I’m not gonna say it was luck,” Phil X added.

This isn’t the first time the rocker talked about replacing Sambora. He explained at a Masterclass at Sweetwater in Fort Wayne, Indiana, last year, “I hit bad notes all the time. When it’s important, I really try not to, because I’m filling in for a guy [as] great [as] Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi.”

“And the very first time I played live on a 12-string — like, a 12-string is not my thing, man, but it had to be. We’re in the encores, and I did a smoking-awesome set. But if I screw up, there’s people going, ‘That sucks,’” Phil X further shared.

He then stated, “So, there’s things you don’t want to mess around with. I believe I went into the Bon Jovi thing with the right the right mindset. It was like, ‘Okay, you can’t stray from the solo of ‘Livin’ on a Prayer.’ It’s gotta be that solo. There’s no, ‘Hey, let’s jam this out.’”

Phil X recently collaborated with Bon Jovi on their latest album, ‘Forever.’ It was his third album with the band.
