Patrick Mahomes has a lot of wonderful things to say about his best friend Travis Kelce‘s beau, Taylor Swift. While Mahomes is known for his football skills, everyone is dying to know what it feels like to be friends with the popular artist. In a recent interview with TIME Magazine, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs responded to questions about his career, goals, and, yes, the well-known pop artist who saw many of his games during the most recent NFL season. Swift, who is currently dating tight end Kelce of the Chiefs, became close friends with the Chiefs “WAGs” (wives and girlfriends) group, which includes Mahomes’ wife Brittany.

At the games of this season, the two ladies were frequently seen cheering on the team together in matching Kansas City outfits while seated in a box. Mahomes stated in his TIME interview that Swift maintains her ‘down-to-earth’ demeanor despite her extreme star-studded popularity.

As per TMZ, Mahomes added, “I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long,” adding that the Midnights singer is “never not working.” “Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song,” he shared of his best friend’s girl.

“You can see it by how she talks. Even when she’s talking about football, when she’s learning it, you can see her business mind putting it together. It’s almost like she’s trying to become a coach. ‘Why can’t you try this, this, and this?’ She’s asking the right questions,” he said, appreciating her. Mahomes also shut down narratives that emerged in late November 2023 that suggested that Swift’s presence and increased attention have been distracting for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs ‘went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team,’ according to Mahomes, who also said, “That came from Taylor’s fanbase.” Contrary to popular belief, Mahomes maintained that the spotlight did not sidetrack the Chiefs at all . “We just embraced it,” he said. “We like having that visibility. At the end of the day, football has always been this bruising sport. We want to make it fun, where kids grow up and play football and show their personality and be who they are. This year really magnified that.”

Swift has been scoring big wins with the Kelce’s close ones. For instance, Kylie Kelce, who is married to Jason Kelce, recently said on TODAY that she and her family are supporting their relationship. “Ultimately, if Trav is happy, we’re happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav. It’s such a treat to be able to do that on and off the field. But it’s been amazing,” she told co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on April 1.

Hidden meaning behind Kendrick Lamar’s chain in Super Bowl halftime show

The Philadelphia Eagles put on a dominant performance, steamrolling the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. The game itself was never really close — but the halftime show brought plenty of fireworks.

Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance sparked mixed reactions. Some fans loved it, while others weren’t as impressed. Leading up to the big show, much of the buzz centered around how Kendrick would address his ongoing beef with Drake—one of hip-hop’s biggest rivalries.

And Kendrick Lamar did made a bold statement during his performance. The 37-year-old rapper took the stage at the Caesars Superdome, rocking a massive silver and diamond chain featuring a lowercase ”a.”

At first, the meaning behind the letter was unclear. But fans soon made the connection — Kendrick was throwing shade at Drake.

What did the A stand for

In his explosive diss track Not Like Us, Kendrick raps, “Why you trollin’ like a b**h? Ain’t you tired? Trying to strike a chord and it’s probably A minor.”*

And just like that, the mystery of the “a” was solved — Kendrick’s chain was a direct reference to “A minor,” another subtle jab at his longtime rival.

Fans on social media went wild over the diss:

“Kendrick Lamar wearing a lowercase A (a minor) chain is diabolical work,” one fan wrote.

“Kendrick Lamar said all he had to with that ‘a minor’ chain,” another added.

“Kendrick wearing a lowercase ‘a’ diamond chain for ‘a minor?’ My kind of hater!”
    Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)
Some even speculated that the “a” could stand for ”Aubrey” — Drake’s real first name.

But that wasn’t the only shot fired. Kendrick also brought out tennis legend Serena Williams, who just happens to be one of Drake’s famous exes. The petty levels were off the charts—and Williams’ Crip Walking completely stole the show.

Williams didn’t mention Drake after the performance, but she did share her excitement on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!” she wrote.

    The Kendrick vs. Drake Feud

Kendrick and Drake have been at odds since 2023, and things only escalated when Not Like Us dropped. Just four months after Kendrick was announced as the Super Bowl halftime performer, Drake sued Universal Music Group, claiming the label helped Kendrick secure the gig.

Drake’s lawsuit even accused Not Like Us of portraying him as a pedophile. But legal experts weren’t convinced the case would hold up.

Entertainment attorney Camron Dowlatshahi told The U.S. Sun“This is a hit song, and he’s the main artist. So I’m fairly confident he’s gonna play it.”

And he did — loud and clear.

One thing’s for sure: Kendrick knows how to send a message, whether it’s through lyrics, jewelry, or unexpected guest appearances. And a lot fans loved every second of it. What did you think of Lamar’s halftime performance?

Meanwhile, the dial of the watch has 130 baguette-cut gems.

The former athlete, who played in the NFL for 23 seasons, spent 20 years with the New England Patriots and his final three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has been to 10 Super Bowls, winning seven of them, and he’s widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time.

Earlier in the day, Brady participated in a tribute to Randy Moss for his return to ESPN for the latest iteration of Postseason NFL Countdown amid his cancer diagnosis.

During the program, Moss broke down in tears after the network played a touching tribute from a few of his friends and admirers — including Brady, Bill Belichick, Justin Jefferson, Kevin Garnett, Jerry Rice and Micah Parsons, among others.

In the short clip, Moss’ former teammates and pals let him know they were thinking of him amid his health ordeal, with former New England Patriots teammate Brady telling Moss that “we’ve all missed you.” The duo played together for three NFL seasons from 2007 to 2010.

“You’ve been a fixture on that show for a long time and you were a fixture on the field,” Brady continued in the video message. “And for as great as you were on the field in showing everybody the strength and resilience of how you performed over the course of your hall-of-fame career, you’ve impressed and inspired us more than anything in what you’ve done off the field, man.”

“You’re a brother to me, I love you more than anything in this world and its so great to have you back,” he added.

The sports world, as well as Hollywood, is in deep mourning over the tragic and sudden death of Peter Navy Tuiasosopo.

Tuiasosopo, known for his work on Street Fighter, Necessary Roughness, and The Fast and the Furious, among many others, shocked many people when he suddenly passed away on Monday, according to what his Manoah Peter Tuiasosopo announced on Facebook.

“With a heavy heart, my family and I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Our father Peter N. Tuiasosopo passed away this morning at 3:16 am,” he wrote.

A cause of death wasn’t revealed in the post, but Manoah Peter Tuiasosopo later told TMZ that Peter Navy Tuiasosopo died from heart complications in Phoenix, Arizona.

Tuiasosopo began his acting career in 1991 with his first film role as Manumana, “The Slender.” He went on to co-star in his first television series, Danger Theatre, as detective Al Hamoki opposite Adam West.

His other television credits include the role of custodian and ex-sumo wrestler Yoshi Nakamura in the Disney series Kickin’ It.

Tuiasosopo also has film credits that include the role of Willie Dumaine in 12 Rounds with John Cena, as well as Batman & Robin, BASEketball, Charlie’s Angels, Austin Powers in Gold Member, and The Scorpion King, among others.

Peter Navy Tuiasosopo Had A Background In Football

Veteran actor Peter Navy Tuiasosopo tragically passed away at the age of 61.

Tuiasosopo’s son revealed that he died of heart complications on Monday morning in Phoenix, Arizona.

Aside from his acting career, Peter Navy Tuiasosopo had a background in football.

He played college football at Utah State and went undrafted in the 1987 NFL Draft.

He would go on to play two seasons for the Los Angeles Rams before he would transition into acting.

Superstar NFL Wide Receiver Drops Major Hint That His Team Will Trade For Rams QB Matthew Stafford

    Matthew Stafford calling a play.

Amid rumors that the Los Angeles Rams will shop quarterback Matthew Stafford, one top NFL wide receiver has fueled speculation that his team could pursue a trade for the 36-year-old.

Last week, it was reported that Matthew Stafford decided to continue playing rather than retire. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer explained on “The Dan Patrick Show” earlier this week that the Super Bowl 56-winning quarterback could be available in a trade.

New York Giants superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers created a buzz on social media when he hinted at his team trading for both Stafford and Cooper Kupp. The latter announced on X/Twitter earlier this week that the Rams intend to trade him.

In a since-deleted X post, Nabers wrote, “9 and 10 🐏👀”, a reference to the jersey numbers donned by Stafford and Kupp.

Nabers was asked about this post in his appearance on “Fantasy Football Happy Hour” with Matthew Berry, where he further fueled the Giants-Stafford trade rumor:

“His arm talent is crazy. His sidearm is crazy. The way he throws the ball, his angles, it’s crazy. He knows the defense. He’s a veteran quarterback. He led that team to the playoffs without those receivers he was playing with at the beginning of the season when they were hurt. Then when he got them back, he was able to do a lot of great things. I like the way he throws the football.”

The Giants will be in the market for a new starting quarterback this offseason, having released starter Daniel Jones in November. They could target a quarterback like Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but an offensive-minded head coach like Brian Daboll may also be keen to work with an established veteran like Matthew Stafford.

    Rams Should Keep Matthew Stafford

Neither the Rams nor Stafford have hinted at a possible trade. Having gotten Los Angeles within a couple of plays of the NFC Championship Game, the best is for this marriage to continue in 2025.

BREAKING: Jelly Roll Joins ‘American Idol’ Cast After Fans Beg ABC to Hire Him

In a surprise move, “American Idol” producers announced on February 4, 2025, that the show’s 23rd season will not just have one new cast member, but two.

    Ryan Seacrest, Jelly Roll

In addition to Carrie Underwood joining the series as a judge alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, red-hot country star Jelly Roll will be the show’s first-ever “artist-in-residence,” according to Variety. The move fulfills the wish of many “Idol” fans who begged ABC in 2024 to add Jelly Roll as a regular to the series after he appeared as a mentor to contestants early in season 22.

In an Instagram video about the announcement, Jelly Roll wrote, “Honored to be Idol’s first-ever ARTIST IN RESIDENCE—mentoring with heart, soul, and real experience! 🎤💥”

ABC Says Jelly Roll Will Become a ‘Permanent Fixture’ on ‘American Idol’

Jelly Roll will appear as an “artist-in-residence” during season 23’s Hollywood Week episodes, which were filmed in late January, and will continue to appear on the show throughout the season, Variety reported.

In a press release, ABC said that Jelly Roll — a Nashville-based rapper-turned-country superstar who cleaned up his life after spending years in prison — will become “a permanent fixture this season and will work closely with the Idol hopefuls, giving them firsthand advice on how to navigate the journey.”

Shortly after the announcement, the social media team at “American Idol” shared Variety’s article in the show’s Instagram Stories and wrote, YES!! Get hyped for more @jellyroll615 on IDOL!”

Fans Begged ABC to Add Jelly Roll to ‘American Idol’ Cast in 2024

Jelly Roll and “Idol” alum Tori Kelly both served as mentors to contestants who made it through Hollywood Week and moved onto compete in at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii. Jelly Roll mentored half of the contestants, and his work with them drew rave reviews from fans and the judges.

Jelly Roll Is Joining American Idol But NOT As a Judge | E! News

A self-professed “Idol” fan for years, Jelly Roll, live-tweeted when his season 22 episode aired on April 8, sharing how much he loved working with the contestants. Much to fans’ delight, he tweeted, “i could get used to doing this. #americanidol #jellytime”

Fans flooded social media during and after his appearance, begging ABC executives to hire Jelly Roll to replace Katy Perry, who had announced in February that she’d be leaving the show at the end of the season.

One person tweeted, “You were the best mentor I’ve ever seen on the show… and I’ve been watching since the beginning. You’d make a great judge. You could be the Fab Four. ?”

Someone else suggested, “When Katy leaves at the end of the year, you can take her place.”

Even Perry was on board with the idea, telling E! News a week after his appearance, “I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show. I was convinced at anything he said. He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything.”

Eventually, the show hired season 4 winner Carrie Underwood, also a megastar in country music, to replace Perry at the judge’s table. She has also begun filming the new season, which will debut on ABC on March 9.

'FOX NFL Kickoff' crew reflect on Patrick Mahomes' legacy after Chiefs' loss to Eagles in Super Bowl

President Donald Trump made history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl on Sunday, and stole the show away from Taylor Swift. He then made sure to mock her about it after the game.

Trump received a raucous cheer from the Superdome crowd when he was shown on-screen during the national anthem, while the fans booed Swift immensely when she was shown on the jumbotron during the game. Swift also had to watch her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, suffer a crushing 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, which was the team she grew up rooting for.

Trump mocked her and the team in a post on Truth Social after the game. Trump credited followers of his “Make America Great Again” movement for the boos.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote.

    Taylor Swift looks on

During the game, Trump posted videos of Swift getting booed and him getting cheers, in a separate post on Truth Social.

Trump has been at odds with Swift over the last year amid his 2024 presidential campaign.

After Swift announced her endorsement for Kamala Harris for president on Sept. 10, Trump appeared on “Fox & Friends” the next morning and insisted that he liked the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes, much better than Swift. Brittany Mahomes suggested support for Trump through social media activity.

Trump even sent a post on Truth Social that read “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” days after Swift’s endorsement of Harris.

For NFL fans, Swift became a contentious figure over the last year after her relationship with Kelce went public in September 2023. She began attending most Chiefs games, and whenever she was there, NFL broadcast cameras panned to her multiple times per game.

Donald Trump poses with police officers

Swift was credited for bringing a wave of new fans to the Chiefs and NFL as a whole, especially women fans. But a lot of longtime NFL fans became nauseated by the constant visuals of Swift at games.

Swift appeared at last year’s Super Bowl and witnessed Kelce and the Chiefs win that game. Then, this year, her appearances at NFL games continued, much to the agony of fans who had become sick of seeing and hearing about her.

Swift also was noticeably distant from Brittany Mahomes at multiple games this past season amid controversy over Mahomes’ Trump support and Swift’s support for Harris. However, they continued to show public affection in other ways, including a group dinner with Kelce and Patrick Mahomes just days before the Super Bowl.

And while Trump praised the Mahomes family, Kelce and even picked the Chiefs to win the game, he had no reservations about mocking all of them with his Truth Social post on Sunday night.

    Donald Trump salutes

    But Trump didn’t stop there.

He also spoke out against the NFL’s new kick-off format, which he has been a vocal critic of since the first week of the season.

“The worst part of the Super Bowl, by far, was watching the Kickoff where, as the ball is sailing through the air, the entire field is frozen, stiff. College Football does not do it, and won’t! Whose idea was it to ruin the Game?” Trump wrote.

  • Bucks’ Damian Lillard added to injury report for Warriors game without Giannis

Bucks’ Damian Lillard added to injury report for Warriors game without Giannis

Damian Lillard has an injury designation ahead of Bucks-Warriors game

    Bucks' Damian Lillard, Warriors

The Milwaukee Bucks (28-23) begin a challenging stretch, with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined through the NBA All-Star break with a mild calf strain. His injury absence puts the onus on the team’s other star player, Damian Lillard, to carry much of the offensive burden for at least the next few games. His availability is no guarantee, however.

The former All-NBA First-Team selection is on the injury report for Monday’s showdown with the Golden State Warriors (26-26). He is listed questionable with right hamstring soreness, per the Bucks’ X account.

This development follows Lillard’s magnificent performance in Sunday’s 135-127 win versus the Philadelphia 76ers. The 34-year-old point guard posted a game-high 43 points on 14-of-23 shooting and eight assists to go along with seven rebounds and two steals, as Milwaukee survived another huge Tyrese Maxey outing (39 points, 69.6 percent shooting).

Lillard put on a thrilling show in Fiserv Forum on what was a farewell tribute to the legendary Hubie Brown. He might not get the opportunity to exhilarate the home crowd versus Golden State, though. Considering the nine-time All-Star is dealing with some hamstring discomfort going into the second game of a back-to-back, head coach Doc Rivers and the training staff might decide to err on the side of caution.

Will Damian Lillard play tonight against the LA Clippers? Latest update on the Milwaukee Bucks star's injury report (January 25, 2025) | NBA News - The Times of India

Bucks might have to lean on their trade acquisition

Whether or not Lillard plays against the Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler-led Warriors, Kyle Kuzma will probably need to come through for the Bucks. The recently acquired forward has scuffled on offense in his first two games with the team (34.6 field goal percentage) but is impressing Rivers with his energy and effort. He recorded eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 36 minutes against the 76ers.

Kuzma must stay active, especially with Antetokounmpo nursing an injury and Lillard not feeling so fresh himself. Perhaps he can find his shooting stroke against the invading Warriors. The Bucks are currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Indiana Pacers by one game and holding a two-game cushion over the Detroit Pistons. While they are not in a desperate state at the moment, a rough stretch can leave them vulnerable at the All-Star break.

Bucks Injury Report: Damian Lillard in Danger of Missing Matchup vs Warriors

A healthy Damian Lillard can possibly prevent a skid. He is averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 dimes, 4.7 boards, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 38.3 percent from 3-point land this season. ClutchPoints will monitor his status for the Milwaukee-Golden State matchup.

The Voice’s Kelsea Ballerini makes big ‘mistake’ on season premiere as she replaces Gwen Stefani as new judge

NBC’s The Voice returned for Season 27 on Monday, bringing aboard new judge Kelsea Ballerini to replace Gwen Stefani.

The Voice' Season 22 coaches, premiere date — everything to know - GoldDerby

The 31-year-old singer had previously served as a coach in Season 15 during a new round called The Comeback Stage and she also filled in for Kelly Clarkson as well.

Now she’s a full-time judge on the hit reality show, though she made a rather big self-admitted ‘mistake’ pretty early on.

Thankfully, though, she was able to rectify that mistake by using the Coach Replay, which was introduced in Season 26.

However, she used it in a way that no other coach had in the Coach Replay’s brief history… essentially using it to steal.

The historic moment came after Dan Kiernan, a 33-year-old wedding singer from New York City took the stage.

Kiernan sang High Hopes by Panic! At the Disco, getting Michael Buble and John Legend to turn their chairs, though Ballerini and returning coach Adam Levine did not.
Both Buble and Legend admitted that the song was ‘nearly impossible’ to sing and they applauded him for going big in his audition.

While Kelsea didn’t turn her chair for Dan, she was interested in what he wanted to become as an artist.

‘I’m really interested in songwriting. I have so much to say and represent for my community,’ Dan told her.

Kelsea admitted she was ‘not sure’ why she didn’t turn her chair, before she realized that she had made a mistake.

‘I’m gonna do something. I’m gonna do something crazy. There’s this thing. I only get one. It’s called the Replay,’ she said, as the other coaches were stunned, as Legend admitted the Replay, ‘has never been used in this way.’

‘I made a mistake. I think you are fantastic,’ Ballerini said as she hit her button for the Coach’s Replay, adding, ‘I would really like to put my name in the running.’

‘I don’t know how to do this, but I think I did it right,’ Ballerini said, as Legend pointed out, ‘Kelsea is the first coach to use the Coach Replay to try to steal,’ before joking that it’s, ‘very dirty and underhanded.’

The gamble by Ballerini paid off as Kiernan picked her, as she explained, ‘The Coach Replay is basically our whoopsie.’

Mahomes had linemen in his face all night

Patrick Mahomes chose a poor time to play perhaps the worst game of his career.

Mahomes had just 33 passing yards in the first half of Super Bowl LIX, the lowest of his career. Despite three touchdowns in the second half, it was too little too late, and his Kansas City Chiefs were blown out, 40-22, by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs were going for their third consecutive Super Bowl title, a run that began two years ago against the same Eagles. However, the Birds’ defense had other plans.

The Eagles were able to sack Mahomes six times, pick him off twice (including a pick-six) and throw him completely off of his game.

Green jerseys were in Mahomes’ face all night. Even more impressive is that the Eagles did not blitz once during the entire game.

While he did not necessarily get help from his offensive line or weapons, Mahomes took the blame for the tough loss.

“Appreciate all the love and support from #ChiefsKingdom. I let y’all down today,” he posted on X after the game. “I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it. Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me.”

However, he added that the Chiefs dynasty is not done just yet.

    “We will be back.”

Mahomes could have become the first person to win four Super Bowls before turning 30 in NFL history, but that is no more – he will turn 30 on Sept. 17 later this year.

Kansas City was in their fifth Super Bowl in the last six seasons; they are 3-2 in those games, with both losses being rather ugly.
