Travis Kelce says Tom Brady’s ‘unbelievable’ roast had him ‘in tears’; Jason Kelce was left perplexed

Netflix’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” has been widely discussed since it aired live on the streaming platform Sunday.

Travis and Jason Kelce spent a few moments on the latest edition of their “New Heights” podcast reacting to the roast, with each brother having a different takeaway. Travis seemed impressed by the parts of the special he watched, saying it was “unbelievable.”

“I had been in tears the whole day just watching the clips and everything,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end noted.

Jason did not seem to be in any rush when a fan asked the Kelce brothers if they would consider getting the roast treatment themselves. Although the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center wondered why anyone would sign up for what Brady endured, he also said he was entertained.

“It was pure entertainment, and I’m really happy they did it, but I just don’t get the roasts,” Jason said. “I don’t know why people do it. Maybe I take myself too seriously. … It was star-studded. The best part about it was how many just iconic NFL and celebrities of immense stature that were there.

“Not to mention the entire Patriots dynasty showing up for Tom. That being said, I really don’t f—ing get it. I don’t get why people do roasts. I don’t get why they are a thing. Haha, yeah, my family’s ruined. It’s so funny. Everyone’s laughing. It’s great, we’re having fun. Yeah, right.’”

Everything from Brady’s previous marriage to Gisele Bündchen, to the deflategate scandal and even his failed cryptocurrency investment were up for grabs in the no-holds-barred roast. Only a “massage” joke from “roast master” Jeff Ross directed at longtime New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft seemed to get under Brady’s skin.

Travis applauded Brady for being a “good sport” throughout the majority of the three-hour event.

“I commend everybody because no one seemed to get their feelings hurt. It seems like everyone was having fun with it. But, at the same time, that s— had me rolling because of how at everybody’s neck people were going.”

While Brady’s compensation for agreeing to participate in the roast remains unclear, Jason said he would subject himself to a roast if he was offered enough money.

“I take it back. I’ll do a roast. What’d you guys pay Tom? The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is (my wife) Kylie,” Jason said. “She knows too much. … Every day I am getting roasted by Kylie.”

“Tom was a good f—ing sport about it knowing that he was taking some f—ing aggressive strays, man,” Kelce said on “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce”

Travis Kelce was “rolling” with laughter while watching Tom Brady’s Netflix roast.

During the most recent episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Travis gave his thoughts on the roast that’s still a hot topic days after it aired.

“Man, that is, yeah, that was unbelievable. First off, everybody involved. Hats off. I’ve been in tears the whole like, last, like day just watching the clips and everything,” he said.

The Kansas City Chiefs star added, “I commend everybody because nobody seemed to get like, their feelings hurt. It was kind of, it just looked like everybody was having fun with it. Yeah. But at the same time, man, that s— had me rolling because of how at everybody’s neck people were going.”

Travis even commended Brady for being a good sport about the brutal jabs, saying “Tom was a good f—ing sport about it knowing that he was taking some f—ing aggressive strays, man.”

However, he stopped short of commenting on Brady’s insults about his team and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, after the retired NFL star poked fun at her and her teenage fanbase.

“Kansas City, you say your stadium is the loudest,” Brady said with a smirk, referring to Arrowhead Stadium where the Chiefs play. “It helps when all your fans are 14-year-old girls.”

“And In honor of Tay-Tay, let’s take a look at the Chiefs’ eras — terrible for 50 years, good for five,” he added.

Jason also weighed in on the roast saying he doesn’t “get” why someone would subject themselves to one.

“I don’t get why people do roast. I don’t get why they’re a thing,” he said.

But in a hypothetical situation in which he did get roasted, Jason said there’s a person very close to him who wouldn’t get a spot on roast list.

“The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is Kylie. She knows way too much,” he said, before Travis agreed that his brother “Can’t allow that. Because Kylie is gonna go up there and f—ing torch you.”

“I mean, every day I’m getting roasted by Kylie. I don’t need her to go up on stage and do that,” Jason joked.

Breaking news: Joy Taylor has been dismissed from her position as a WNBA commentator after making controversial statements about basketball star Caitlin Clark in a public event.

Joy Taylor has been let go from her position as a WNBA commentator after making controversial remarks about basketball star Caitlin Clark in a public setting.

The incident occurred at a high-profile  sports gala where Taylor, who has long been a fixture in sports media, was caught on camera making mocking comments about Clark’s playing style and personality. The remarks, which many perceived as disrespectful, quickly went viral, stirring outrage among fans, players, and the basketball community at large.Joy Taylor MOCKS Caitlin Clark in Public – Her Stunning Response Leaves Everyone Silent!

Caitlin Clark, a standout player known for her impressive skills and fierce competitiveness, had been the subject of Taylor’s offhand comments. The broadcaster made fun of Clark’s demeanor on the court, calling her “overhyped” and mocking her signature style of play. What seemed to be a casual attempt at humor quickly escalated when the video of her comments spread across social media, with many accusing Taylor of showing a lack of respect for one of the most promising young stars in women’s basketball.

The backlash was swift and severe. WNBA fans, athletes, and even some fellow broadcasters voiced their disapproval, with many calling for accountability. In response to the growing controversy, the network broadcasting the WNBA games released a statement on the matter.

“After a thorough review of the situation, we have made the decision to part ways with Joy Taylor,” the statement read. “We believe that all athletes, including Caitlin Clark, deserve respect, and we do not condone any behavior that undermines the spirit of sportsmanship and inclusivity.”

Caitlin Clark told she made mistake sitting with Taylor Swift at Chiefs game

Taylor Swift invited Caitlin Clark to watch the Kansas City Chiefs with her on Saturday, but former Fox Sports host Skip Bayless has warned the WNBA star to keep her distance

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been told that she shouldn’t ‘be seen’ with Taylor Swift after they watched the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans on Saturday.

Swift made her usual high-profile entry at Arrowhead Stadium as she prepared to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce from the Chiefs suite, but was then seen sitting next to Clark. The pair chatted all game, and even hugged as Kelce scored a touchdown which capped off an impressive 117-yard game.

While Clark and Swift’s fanbases celebrated their new friendship, former Fox Sports host Skip Bayless was less enthusiastic. Bayless attempted to offer Clark some advice on social media, by claiming she should stay on her own path.

“Wait, Caitlin Clark is up in the Arrowhead box with Taylor Swift??? Caitlin, you don’t need to be seen with her,” Bayless posted on X. “You’re bigger than she is. Just stay on your own path.”

Clark is a big fan of Swift, and attended back-to-back ‘Eras Tour’ concerts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis last year. The WNBA Rookie of the Year met Kelce there, and also spoke with Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, according to TIME Magazine.

“People are just going crazy that I’m there,” Clark said to TIME. “I thought people would be so in their own world, ready to see Taylor. And it was just completely the opposite.”

Clark also claimed that Swift vowed to watch her play for the Fever in person next season, and also invited her to watch a Chiefs game. Clark took Swift up on the offer, but only after rejecting an offer to play in Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

The new league made its debut on Friday, as WNBA stars such as Angel Reese and DiJonai Carrington battled it out. However, Unrivaled made Clark a reported $1 million offer to compete in the eight-week season, but she declined due to wanting a break during the WNBA offseason.

“I didn’t rule out doing it in the future, but this year is just not the best for me,” Clark said. “It’s going to be good for me to do my own thing and have my own space. I kind of want to just stay out of the spotlight.”

Clark left Iowa as a college basketball legend, and after being selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft and dominating in the league, her popularity has reached new heights. Clark may have missed out on the inaugural Unrivaled season, but didn’t appear too upset when hanging out with Swift.

  • John Legend Made The Voice Audience Gasp While Trolling Kelsea Ballerini

John Legend Made The Voice Audience Gasp While Trolling Kelsea Ballerini

Behold, friends: a lesson in Voice Coach banter from John Legend.

Coach Kelsea Ballerini may be new(ish) to The Voice, but with a decade-long career and a reputation that precedes her, no one’s doubting her ability to get the job done. Fellow Season 27 Coach John Legend found that out the hard way when he tried to troll the country singer-songwriter on her Coach inexperience during the February 10 episode.

John Legend had no chance of recruiting a Kelsea Ballerini fan on The Voice

When High Point, North Carolina singer Tatum Scott took the stage at the Blinds to sing “Vampire” by Olivia Rodrigo, it was almost a done deal that she’d be Team Kelsea. Not only does Scott live and work in Nashville, she was wearing a pair of embellished jeans that Ballerini also owns.

Legend turned his chair, followed by Ballerini, which Legend tried to use to his advantage, calling out his fellow Coach for being “a little late” to hit her button. When that didn’t sway Scott, he added, “Kelsea’s never done this show before. This is just a fact. This is not criticism,” which got a gasp from the audience.

“I listen to Olivia Rodrigo in the car with my daughter. I’m very young and hip,” Legend continued, but Ballerini wasn’t letting Scott go, pointing to her status as the only female Coach in an effort to bond with the Artist. It worked, and Team Kelsea added a new member. “I only have one Artist on my team…I’m on a slump,” admitted Legend.

The other Voice Coaches can’t stop (playfully) teasing Kelsea Ballerini

It’s not just John Legend who enjoys poking fun at the “little sister” of the red chairs. During the first episode of Season 27, Ballerini sent a text between Blind Auditions. Adam Levine took notice and teased in a high-pitched voice, “You’re texting your boyfriend, oo-ooh.”

“Guys, really?” Ballerini snapped, prompting John Legend to say, “She said, ‘Mind your business!’” Is Michael Bublé the only one focused on work?

For context, Kelsea Ballerini has been seeing Outer Banks star Chase Stokes for two years. During a chat on Call Her Daddy, she revealed that she met the actor by sliding into his Instagram DMs. “I’ve never seen his show, but I just knew of him, and I just swan dove right on in…” Ballerini said. “I was ready to open back up. I just felt, why not? I’ve never really dated; I don’t know how it works. I’m like, ‘Let’s just put ourselves out there; let’s just vibe.’ And it’s been fun.”

Jason Kidd Admits When He Really Found Out About Luka Doncic Trade

Luka Doncic Linked To 2 Teams As Mavs Trade Rumors Intensify

The Dallas Mavericks sent shockwaves through the NBA with their unexpected trade of superstar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. The move sparked significant discussions about the decision-making process within the organization.

Head coach Jason Kidd’s role in the trade has drawn particular attention. In a notable revelation, Kidd shared that he learned about the trade negotiations just before the deal was finalized. His late involvement in such a major organizational decision highlights the distinct separation between coaching and front office responsibilities.

“11th hour. Just got a call to come up to the room and was told about the trade,” Kidd said when asked when he learned of the Doncic deal. “I’m an employee of the Mavs. I’ve said this before and some of you maybe overlooked it: I’m the coach. I coach the players that are here. We made a trade and we’ve got to push forward. That’s what we’re doing.

“No one’s going to feel bad for us. Trades happen in this game. Things change, coaches change, teams get sold. A lot of things happen that are out of our control, but you’ve got to continue to just do your job, and that’s what I’m doing. I’m the coach. I’m not the decision-maker. I’m here to coach the team that’s given to me, and then I’m judged on that by you guys.”

Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison executed the trade independently, keeping the coaching staff separate from the negotiations. This approach represents a clear hierarchical structure where front office decisions remain isolated from coaching influence.

    Key Points About the Trade:

Kidd received notification at the final stage
Harrison led negotiations without coaching input
    Front office maintained decision autonomy

Kidd has maintained a professional stance regarding the trade, emphasizing his role as an employee focused on coaching the available roster. His position reflects the realities of professional basketball, where personnel changes occur regularly and coaches must adapt.

Fan reaction to the trade has been intense, with much criticism directed at the front office. The fanbase has largely spared Kidd from criticism, possibly due to his limited involvement in the decision-making process.

The trade marks a significant shift for the Mavericks organization, transforming both team composition and strategic direction. As head coach, Kidd faces the task of maximizing the new roster’s potential while navigating the aftermath of trading away the team’s cornerstone player.

Adam Levine’s 11 Cryptic Texts to Blake Shelton That Left Fans Stunned on The Voice

Blake Shelton will never know peace again now that Adam Levine is back in a red chair.

Adam Levine Sent Blake Shelton 11 Shady Texts During a Voice Episode | NBC Insider

Just because Blake Shelton left The Voice to live the farm life in Oklahoma with his wife Gwen Stefani and her three sons doesn’t mean his friendly rival Adam Levine is going to give him a minute of peace.

The two singers are both OG Coaches on the singing competition show, with Shelton lasting over 20 seasons and Levine leaving after 16, then returning for Season 27, making this his first Shelton-less go-round. And he’s handling the separation…not well.

Adam Levine kept texting Blake Shelton during The Voice Blind Auditions

Between Artists during The Voice Season 27, Episode 2 Blind Auditions, Levine reflected on the experience of coming back after a long hiatus. “Such a unique experience being in this chair and I’ve missed it,” he said, though he’s technically not in the same chair as before. John Legend occupies his old seat, and Levine sits in Shelton’s vacated spot.

“I miss Blake,” Levine admitted in the first episode of the season, joking, “I’m in his mangy, musty chair.” Between Artists, Levine visited his old chair and asked Legend if he could have a moment in the seat. Legend politely declined.

In the second episode, Levine told his fellow Coaches, “I just texted Blake and said, ‘I’m in your stupid chair,’” probably hoping to update them with a response from Shelton. When he didn’t get one, he texted again. And again.

Levine proceeded to follow up with 10 more texts, writing, “God I hate you…Haha…Haha…Are you getting these?…Stop being lame…You made at me?…Whatever idiot…I just farted in your chair…Because I hate you. …Fine whatever. You suck eggs.” Ultimately, Shelton got the last laugh, hitting Levine with a cold, “Unsubscribe.”

Kelsea Ballerini is Team Blake all the way

For her first season as a Coach, Kelsea Ballerini needed reinforcements to go up against Levine and enlisted Shelton for a special project: a button on her red chair that, when pressed, plays an insult Shelton lobbed at Levine in years past. “I have it for when I really need some backup,” Ballerini explained.

There are four quotes: “Adam’s a big baby,” “Adam…won’t shut up,” “Adam, you say a lot of stupid stuff,” and “Adam’s a crappy Coach.” Why Levine thought he’d get anything kinder over text is a true mystery.

Wanna try the chair out for yourself? It’ll be on tour this spring. Check out all the dates and locations here.

JUST IN: Super Bowl Heartache Healed by Love— Patrick Mahomes, in One of the Most Poignant Photos of the Evening, Gets Consoled by His Young Children, Sterling and Bronze, Following the Big Game Loss

Love Beyond the Loss: Patrick Mahomes Finds Solace in His Children After Super Bowl 2025 Defeat

In a moment that encapsulated the essence of family over football, Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes was seen sharing a heartwarming embrace with his children, Sterling and Bronze, following the Super Bowl 2025 loss. The poignant scene unfolded at 11:36 PM PST on February 09, 2025, after a game that saw the Chiefs’ championship hopes dashed by a determined opponent.

The Super Bowl 2025 was a spectacle of talent, strategy, and heart-stopping plays, but for Mahomes and the Chiefs, it ended in disappointment. Despite Mahomes’ Herculean efforts on the field, the final score did not reflect the fight and spirit he brought to the game. As the confetti fell for the victors, Mahomes faced the media, his demeanor one of gracious defeat.

Post-game, in the quiet aftermath of the fans’ cheers fading into the night, a photograph captured Mahomes in an intimate, consoling moment with his young children. Sterling, with her bright eyes and innocent smile, and Bronze, with his tiny arms around his father, offered comfort that transcended the loss. The image, quickly shared across social media platforms, resonated with fans and non-fans alike, reminding everyone of the power of family love in times of personal and professional challenges.

The reaction was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Social media users lauded the moment, with comments flooding in about the importance of family, the human side of athletes, and the lessons in resilience and love. It served as a reminder that sports, while competitive, are also about the moments that define us beyond the scoreboard.

Patrick Mahomes has become synonymous with excellence on the field, known for his arm, agility, and leadership. However, this moment with Sterling and Bronze added another layer to his public persona, showcasing him as a father first, athlete second. His journey from a young, promising talent to a Super Bowl-winning quarterback to this point of vulnerability and strength, has been one watched by millions.

This incident highlights the intersection of sports, family, and public perception. In an era where athletes are often viewed through the lens of performance and statistics, moments like these humanize them, offering a narrative of love and support that resonates universally. It also prompts a discussion on how sports figures balance their professional lives with personal ones, especially in moments of public defeat.

As the night of February 09, 2025, drew to a close, the Super Bowl might have been about who won or lost on the field, but for Patrick Mahomes, the real victory was in the arms of his children. This moment of consoling, captured in time, will likely be remembered not for the loss but for the love that was shared, teaching fans and families everywhere about the true essence of support and resilience.

Thirty-two points from Jayson Tatum. Twenty-nine from Kristaps Porzingis. A near triple-double from Derrick White. And, most importantly for the Celtics, no pre-All-Star letdown in their final game before an eight-day break.

Boston defeated the San Antonio Spurs 116-103 on Wednesday night at TD Garden — the seventh win in eight games for Joe Mazzulla’s squad.

Tatum turned in his third straight 30-point performance, adding 14 rebounds and seven assists. Porzingis registered his second-highest point total of the season, and White finished with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, offsetting the pair’s 11 collective turnovers.

The Celtics were playing without Jaylen Brown (knee) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder), who both sat out with injuries. They were missing multiple starters in each of their last three games and won all three by double digits.

Boston now is off until Thursday, Feb. 20, when it visits Philadelphia.

“You know the break is coming,” said Tatum, who will be one of three Celtics representatives at All-Star weekend along with Brown and Rising Stars participant JD Davison. “You want to go into the break feeling well and playing some good basketball, and I would say over the last 10 games or so, we’ve done that.”

San Antonio rallied in the second half, cutting a 24-point Celtics lead to eight, but Boston pulled away late. Trade-deadline pickup De’Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 23 points, with second-year superstar Victor Wembanyama adding 17 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks.

The Celtics picked their spots against the impossibly rangy Wembanyama, who entered Wednesday with 75 more blocks than any other NBA player (and got another one early on an Al Horford layup attempt). But they weren’t afraid to attack the 7-foot-3 phenom when the situation called for it.

Tatum drove straight past Wembanyama for a thunderous first-quarter dunk. One possession later, Porzingis beat the big man at the rim after a nifty triple-move post-up. The Celtics center looked pleased with himself for besting the French sensation, smiling as he jogged back up the court.

“The impact that he has on the defensive end, just with his length and his wingspan is, like, historic,” Porzingis said. “We haven’t seen this, no? … He’s just a special player. That’s maybe partially how people feel around me, but with him, it’s a different level. Special, special player.”

Porzingis went 3-for-3 from the field in the first quarter, but Tatum drove the Celtics’ scoring attack, scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting as Boston built a 37-19 lead. It was an early-game return to form for the six-time All-Star, who was quiet in the first half of Boston’s previous two games before exploding in the third quarter (19 points against New York, 20 against Miami).

Up 16-15 six minutes in, the Celtics closed the opening frame with a 21-4 run capped by three consecutive 3-pointers. Tatum scored one of those and assisted on the two others, including a Horford buzzer-beater that put Boston ahead by 18. Tatum, Horford and White all made multiple threes in the first quarter, while the Spurs shot 1-for-11 from deep as a team.

The Celtics stretched their lead to 24 in the second quarter, getting another 16 points from Tatum and Porzingis along with the first contributions of Torrey Craig’s Boston tenure.

Craig, signed last week after being waived by Chicago, made his Celtics debut Wednesday and flashed his potential as a 3-and-D wing. He hit two threes in the second quarter, assisted on another by Tatum and blocked a shot by Spurs rookie Stephon Castle across his nine minutes of action.

“It was crazy,” Craig said. “The atmosphere, the crowd, the fans. It’s just a joy to play in front of a crowd like that. And yeah, man, I’m just glad I made my debut in the Garden. I’m glad I hit my first shot.”

Durability will be an important variable for Craig, who hadn’t played since Dec. 30 because of an ankle sprain and also missed time with knee and ankle injuries last season. But if he can stay healthy, the 34-year-old should add experience and perimeter shooting ability to the back half of Boston’s bench, which has lacked both this season.

The Celtics took a 66-47 lead into halftime, with Tatum, Porzingis and White combining for more first-half points (49) than the entire Spurs roster.

Sloppiness then set in for the Celtics. Four turnovers in five minutes, coupled with a sudden cold streak, allowed San Antonio to cut its deficit to 10 points multiple times in the third quarter. Porzingis gave Boston some breathing room with a 3-pointer that halted an 8-0 Spurs run, and Payton Pritchard, Luke Kornet and Porzingis later scored at the rim on consecutive Celtics possessions, all with Wembanyama off the court.

Pritchard and Kornet combined for six offensive rebounds in the game and finished as a plus-12 and plus-10, respectively.

Tatum was on the verge of a triple-double by the end of the third quarter (28-11-7) but missed three late free throws that would have padded Boston’s lead. The Celtics entered the fourth with a 93-81 advantage, which the Spurs quickly cut to single digits.

But Boston rebuffed that rally. After two Castle free throws made it an eight-point game, Porzingis and Pritchard buried back-to-back threes. Pritchard also hit one late in the third quarter after starting 0-for-7 from deep (and going 1-for-8 against Miami on Monday). Another three by Sam Hauser, who’d missed his first five attempts, gave the Celtics a 16-point lead with 6:42 remaining.

Porzingis set up Hauser’s triple by flipping a pass over his right shoulder while being doubled by Wembanyama and Fox. The ball found Horford in the paint, who zipped it out to an open Hauser. San Antonio never recovered, and Boston was able to empty its bench in the final minutes.

After hovering just above .500 from mid-December through late January, the Celtics head into the All-Star break playing some of their best basketball of the season. The defending champions are 8-2 in their last 10 games. The lone blemishes: an ugly home loss to Dallas that Porzingis believed they “should have won” and a last-second defeat against Houston in which role player Dillon Brooks made 10 threes and Boston had multiple defensive breakdowns in the final minutes.

“We finished heading into the break really well,” Porzingis said. “I think we’re still experiencing a little bit, but not as much anymore, that people are going off against us, having career highs in threes or whatever. So I think the luck is starting to turn our way, and that’s it. We’ve just got to stay with it, and I think, as I said before, I want to speak it into existence that we’re going to peak at the right moment and we’re going to hit our stride and just look like a team that’s going to win it all again.”

The Boston Celtics cruised to a 116-103 victory Thursday night against visiting the San Antonio Spurs. Boston also welcomed in Torrey Craig, who the team signed last week.

Boston jumped out to a big lead early on, thanks in part to Jayson Tatum. The former Duke Blue Devil logged 32 points to go with 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White also made big contributions, made even more important with Jrue Holiday and Jaylen Brown sidelined by injury. For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama did what he could to keep San Antonio in the mix, but his efforts were in vain. Boston led for almost the entire game, although the Spurs fought hard in the second half to try to mount a comeback. Instead, the Celtics secured a win, improved to a 39-16 record ahead of the NBA’s All-Star break.
