By this point, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has the WNBA Rookie of the Year award all but won.
Among first-year players, Clark ranks first in points per game (19.1), made field goals (230), assists per game (8.4), steals per game (1.3), made 3-pointers (114), free-throw percentage (89.9), and she’s second in defensive rebounds (5.4).
But the Fever also believe Clark should be an All-WNBA selection, and they released a hype video on their official X account making a compelling case.
Clark has broken more than 20 records this season.
She’s set new rookie records for made 3-pointers (85), most assists in All-Star game history (10), most rebounds by a guard (220) and most double-doubles by a guard (14). Clark also became the fastest rookie to hit 400 points and 200 assists and the first to record a triple-double.
The 22-year-old also broke multiple WNBA records including single-season assists (321), single-game assists (19), most points scored or assisted on (1,047), most All-Star votes (700,735), percentage of team’s points scored or assisted on (43%), and she became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 300 career assists.
Clark also broke a number of Fever franchise records including most single-season points (726), single-season assists, Rookie of the Month honors (three), made 3-pointers and most single-season double-doubles, and she was the first rookie to be named Player of the Month.
The All-WNBA team, which is comprised of a five-player first and second team, is voted on by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters across the U.S.
