Former Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley recently went off on Los Angeles Lakers fans, as he believes they have indirectly decreased the trade value of their players over the past few years.

The one-time NBA All-Defensive First Team member alluded to this during the latest episode of The Pat Bev Podcast With Rone, as he was asked to discuss the recent trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets, which saw D’Angelo Russell going back to his former employers.
“The Laker fans, the real ones, they know basketball, ’cause they’ve seen it a lot, they’ve been through a lot,” Beverley said. “What they (fairweather fans) don’t understand is their effect on making their own team better. They talk so bad about their players that they actually decrease their value.”

“They crush guys, they decrease their value. Now you want your team to get better but you done put a motherf***er down so bad, every motherf***er around the NBA hear it. Only thing the media is talking about is that. Next thing you know, a player you could have got two pieces for, now you only get one piece for,” he added.

Before taking his talents to Israel, Patrick Beverley played his last NBA season with the Milwaukee Bucks. The former no. 42 pick arrived to the Milwaukee Bucks via a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, which saw the former shipping Cameron Payne and a 2027 second-round pick.
