Jaylen Brown Makes ‘$1 Million’ LeBron James Admission

Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics won 124-90 Sunday evening against the Washington Wizards in the TD Garden. Boston was led by the scoring output of Payton Pritchard who supplied 20 points, seven rebounds, and six assists off the bench along with a game-high box plus/minus of +27.

Brown, who contributed 15 points and five assists on 55.6% shooting in the win, appeared on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast Sunday. In the episode which lasted well over an hour, Brown detailed his emotions toward a variety of things that have occurred in his life over the past year.

One of his most notable comments was about how he treats his body and the similarities Brown possesses in that regard with Los Angeles Lakers 21-time All-Star LeBron James. When asked specifically how much Brown spends on his body, he admitted to a number “close” to the $1 million James spends.

“I do a lot, especially in the summertime,” said Brown. “Remember when LeBron came out and said that he spent like a million dollars? It’s probably close to that. It’s probably close, maybe not a million, but like somewhere between, probably like $500 [thousand], $700 [thousand], something like that. But it’s close to that because I have my own team of doctors … I got my own trainers.”

Brown went on to detail how important it is that he takes such good care of his body:

“I exert energy at a high level on both ends [of the floor] being 240 pounds, that’s a lot of wear and tear on your body and your knees while playing 70 games.”

The four-time All-Star has been battling a knee injury for the majority of this season while playing through it. Across 62 appearances, Brown is averaging 22.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists on 46.5% shooting.
