British tennis player Jack Draper has made it to the quarter-finals of the US Open but it could just be the start for the country’s new hope on the court
Jack Draper has been a big hit at the US Open
Britain’s latest tennis star Jack Draper has reportedly amassed an impressive net worth of $3million (£2.5m) following a breakout 2024 season.
Currently ranked as the UK’s number one, he made headlines this week by becoming the first Brit to reach the US Open quarter-finals since 2016. The 22-year-old, who has bounced back from early career injuries, is now set to face Alex de Minaur in the US Open quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Express Sport delves into the personal life of the young pretender, including his well-known father, brother and his housemate who also featured at this year’s Wimbledon finals.
What is Jack Draper’s prize money and net worth?
Over his six-year career, Draper has earned $2,914,754 (£2,221,086.27) in prize money prior to his remarkable run at this year’s US Open, according to Salary Sport. His first – and currently only – ATP title was won at the 2024 BOSS Open in Stuttgart, where he triumphed over Matteo Berrettini in the final, securing his position as the British men’s number one, reports the Mirror.
This victory, along with his five other ATP Challenger Tour wins, has contributed to his estimated net worth of a staggering $3m (£2.5m), as reported by Tatler. Combining his prize money from ATP Tour tournaments and Grand Slams, Draper earned $882K (£672K) in 2022 and $684K (£521K) in 2023.

Who is Jack Draper’s successful dad?
Jack is the son of Roger Draper, a well-known figure in the sports industry. Roger Draper served as the chief executive of Sport England from 2003 to 2006, before taking up the same role at the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) between 2006 and 2013, and later at Warrington Wolves, a professional rugby league club, from 2015 to 2017.
During his tenure at the LTA, the elder Draper launched ‘Blueprint, a Strategy for British Tennis’, an ambitious plan aimed at transforming the sport’s governing body into a more effective organisation. Draper Sr, now 54, was instrumental in increasing British Tennis memberships by a staggering 500 per cent. He also introduced mini tennis programmes to encourage more people to take up the sport.
Where is Jack Draper from?
As for Draper himself, he was born on December 22, 2001, in Sutton, England, and spent his childhood in Ashtead, Surrey. He attended Parkside School in Stoke d’Abernon, Cobham, before moving on to Reed’s School in the same town.
Jack is the son of Roger and Nicky Draper, with his mother being a former junior British tennis champion. He also has a brother named Ben, who was a tennis student athlete at the University of California.

Who is Jack Draper’s housemate?
Draper has recently flown the nest from his family home in Surrey to set up residence with fellow British tennis talent Paul Jubb. According to Tatler, the duo enjoys a harmonious household, though they’ve encountered the “odd” domestic hiccup.
Draper admits to relishing his newfound independence, saying, “I’m enjoying being able to wash my own clothes. There’s been the odd shrinking disaster, but we’re back on track.”
Jubb, aged 23, boasts an impressive track record in ATP Challenger and ITF Futures/World Tennis Tour finals, securing nine victories against just two defeats. Despite neither having clinched a major singles title yet, both Draper and Jubb are poised to make their mark on the tennis world in the years ahead.
