Caitlin Clark’s Admission to Travis Kelce is Turning Heads

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce started 2025 with a bang by inviting WNBA star and noted Kansas City Chiefs fan Caitlin Clark on their popular podcast, “New Heights.”

The collaboration between some of the most successful sports stars of 2024 was sure to draw plenty of fan fare, but the Kelces may not have expected Clark to open up about one of the sad parts of her early basketball career.

In an early clip released from Thursday’s episode, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year dove deep into her past, long before she became a WNBA All-Star and the NCAA all-time scoring leader.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (left) and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (right).

Prompted by a question from Kansas City’s star tight end, Clark revealed that she had gotten her first college recruiting letter in seventh grade. She used a heavy description to reveal her feelings about that milestone, which left fans intrigued to hear the full conversation.

“It’s honestly sad,” Clark admitted. “Where college recruitment has gone, it’s just insane.”

Clark’s family shielded her from putting pressure on her future at such a young age. Her older brother would hide the mail from her, and the basketball starlet did not take any campus visits until after her freshman year of high school, according to the interview.

“As a long-time women’s sports fan, I’m excited for this episode,” wrote a fan in the YouTube comments.

“This girl has helped elevate women’s basketball to new heights!” another replied.

“Look forward to seeing the entire interview!” said an eager viewer.

The excitement to see Clark on “New Heights” has been present since the Kelces teased a special guest on the show before Christmas. The new clip, featuring an honest and vulnerable look at the WNBA star, only raised anticipation.

“So glad Caitlin was the surprise guest!” replied a fan of the show. “She will be a fun interview!”

“This should be a good episode,” said one YouTube comment. “I feel like Caitlin would have a lot of cool stories about what the WNBA is really like.”

Highly Anticipated Caitlin Clark ‘New Heights’ Podcast Revealed

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is half of the popular podcast, “New Heights,” with his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center, Jason.

Thursday’s episode is one of the most anticipated shows in the pair’s two-year-old venture.

The brothers released a trailer early on Wednesday that included Thursday’s special guest, WNBA star Caitlin Clark. Jason confirmed that Clark has been the most requested guest in the show’s history.

    And Clark seems excited too.

“I don’t get excited about many things but this, this is at the top of my list,” Clark says.

Travis was seen near Clark during his girlfriend and pop star, Taylor Swift’s recent concert. That sparked speculation that Clark may be in the running to be a guest on the popular podcast.

“She was into the show for sure,” Travis said of Clark. “She was there with her mom and a few friends…she’s a Swiftie through and through man. Loves the show. I went to night two, she had already been to night one. I think she’s just having fun. Going up to the shows and taking her friends and family.”

The podcast launched on Sept. 8, 2022, and within weeks was the most-listened-to sports podcast on Spotify and third-most on Apple Podcast’s sports charts. New episodes are released every Wednesday during the NFL season.

Caitlin Clark is getting real about the ups and downs of being a basketball star at a young age on the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.

Women’s Health can exclusively reveal that Caitlin will guest on the January 2 episode of the show, hosted by NFL stars and brothers Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce. In a first-look clip from the episode, which you can watch above, the Indiana Fever guard opens up about getting her first recruitment letters from colleges as early as seventh grade.

Travis refers to that as “insane,” and Caitlin agrees that the college recruitment process has gotten out of hand. She credits her parents, Brent and Anne, for keeping her grounded.

“I feel very fortunate,” Caitlin says, explaining that her parents would ask her brother to pick up the mail so that she wasn’t bothered by recruitment letters. “They wanted me to be in seventh grade and enjoy middle school and hang out with [my] friends. Like, you shouldn’t be worrying about where you’re going to college.”

The five-star recruit didn’t take any college visits until after her freshman year, and didn’t decide she would attend the University of Iowa until her senior year. “I was never in a rush,” she says. “My parents did a really good job of making sure I have a good circle around me. It wasn’t always about college recruitment.”

Even as a kid, Caitlin’s talent was undeniable: As a middle schooler, she was playing with high schoolers. “I didn’t really think anything of it,” she says. “I was just going out there and hooping and having fun and it’s kind of just what came with it.” In the years to follow, she’d become the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer and the WNBA Rookie of the Year, breaking both the assists record and rookie scoring record.

Back in April at the WNBA Draft, Caitlin told WH she found therapy and working with sports psychologists “super helpful” as she rose to fame at Iowa. “It’s such a stressful period of your life,” she said. “You’re 18 to 22 years old and trying to figure out which way your life’s going to go while so many eyeballs are on you, and it can be difficult at times.”

She maintained then that her family and friends helped her stay focused on what’s truly important, and she planned to keep it that way as she entered the pros. “I’ve never changed who I am,” she said. “I’m still Caitlin Clark from West Des Moines, Iowa, and that will never change.” As evidenced by her appearance on New Heights, she’s still sticking to that.

Caitlin is now the second female to guest on New Heights who isn’t related to the Kelce brothers (the first being Travis’ Grotesquerie co-star Niecy Nash-Betts on October 30). She’s also a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, for which Travis plays tight end. Fans have long speculated that Caitlin would appear on the podcast, since she was spotted chatting with Travis back in November at his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Indianapolis.

The full episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce featuring Caitlin Clark will be available on Thursday, January 2 on Wondery+, YouTube, Amazon Music, and everywhere you get your podcasts. Ad-free listening is available on Wondery+.

Angel Reese posts cryptic response following Charleston White’s sexist comments

    Angel Reese with a repost.

Angel Reese has seemingly clapped back at the sexist comments Charleston White made on the “Club 520” podcast. Ever since Reese was a student-athlete at LSU, she has been advocating for women’s sports. In the wake of the sexist comments by the social media personality, the Chicago Sky rookie reposted her April tweet, writing, “Protect young women in sports!!!” While it was not a direct reply to White’s comments, it’s possible that White was reminding her audience of the importance of uplifting women’s sports.

Angel Reese posts cryptic response following Charleston White's sexist comments

White was a recent guest on former NBA player Jeff Teague’s  “Club 520” podcast — with hosts DJ Wells and Bishop B Henn — where he made sexist remarks regarding Reese and the WNBA. “I think Angel Reese wanna sell p***y,” White said, adding that she should “do OnlyFans” and “dunk in some panties.”

Unfortunately, this is not the only time Reese has been subject to sexist claims following her entry into the WNBA earlier this year. On Reese’s podcast, “Unapologetically Angel,” she had Shaquille O’Neal on when he went viral for the controversial comments he made about the WNBA. The NBA legend suggested that the women wear very short shorts to attract more views to the franchise.

“Imagine you in the same little shorts you had on at the Wild ‘N Out show dunking,” referring to the shorts Reese wore when she made a cameo Wild ‘N Out Live Tour’s Chicago stop.

“You know how many T-shirts you’re gonna sell?” he asked before adding, “You’re tripping.” Reese was seemingly uncomfortable with his comment as she rolled her eyes and said, “Oh my god.”

“What? Them same little shorts you had on at Wild ‘N Out â€Ĥ” O’Neal continued before Reese tried to stop him from continuing.

“Okay. Alright. Alright. Alright. Alright,” she repeated.

Social media reacts to Charleston White sexist comments about Angel Reese

    Angel Reese
“They [sic] Charleston White take on Angel Reese was disgusting. No need to do any mental gymnastics here,” one fan commented with another adding that all of them should receive some pushback.

“Include ALL of them in it. They all participated, laughed, and agreed. Smh.”

“Who are Jeff Teague and the Club 520 Podcast sponsors???” another fan asked. “There is no way these corporate sponsors can see Charleston White talk so nasty about the top stars in the WNBA and allow their partnerships to continueâ€Ĥ”

A fan weighed in on the disappointment they felt after watching the show.

“Club 520 was on a generational run, and they f-cked it up at the goal line by having Charleston White on to spew his usual nonsense. You really hate to see it,” another fan chimed in.

None of the hosts have commented yet about the backlash.

    Jeff Teague Angel Reese

Former NBA star Jeff Teague is speaking out about the viral sexist comments a guest on his podcast made about Angel Reese and the WNBA. On Teague’s “Club 520” podcast, which he cohosts with DJ Wells, and Bishop B Henn, they praised Reese and the work the WNBA is doing but their guest, Charleston White, spewed sexist comments that went viral.
“I think Angel Reese wanna sell p***y,” White said adding that she should “do OnlyFans” and “dunk in some panties.”

While White was the one to make the comments, the other hosts laughed and continued to carry on.

The moment occurred on a live episode of the podcast which aired on Monday, Dec. 30. Teague decided to respond to the backlash the following day.

“We had great times with Angel Reese,” Teague said in the next episode. “She’s cool people. We don’t even look at her like that. We see her as a little sister, a little homie.” He added that because the show was live, there was no control over the editing process and if it hadn’t been live it would have never been aired due to the nature of White’s comments.

“We have nothing but love for Angel Reese,” he continued. “She’s a phenomenal player and an even better person.”

Social media was set ablaze following the release of White’s podcast episode.

“The lames at the Club 520 Podcast thought Charleston White’s ignorant comments about Angel Reese were worthy enough to post,” one X user wrote. “Jeff Teague should be embarrassed. Imagine thinking this episode would lead to a collaboration with the WNBA. Nasty work.”

Another X user, posted a quote by the late Malcolm X on how Black women are treated in America.

“All ill say on the Charleston White appearance on the Jeff Teague podcast is Malcolm X words ring true “The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman.”

While a formal statement from Reese has not been made public, the Chicago Sky rookie made a repost of a previous tweet on her account following the scrutiny from the “Club 520” podcast.

“protect young women in sports,” the April post read. So far, Reese has not made another post in relation to the backlash.

  • Angel Reese Sends Strong New Year’s Message

Angel Reese Sends Strong New Year’s Message

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made sure to let her fans and haters know what’s going to happen in 2025.

Reese has seen her fair share of praises and criticisms throughout the past year. While she established herself as a true star in the WNBA, it still came with plenty of negative buzz, especially with hoop fans portraying her as the villain in her rivalry with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

The Sky forward, however, isn’t letting the criticisms get to her. Instead, she’s using them as motivation to improve herself. Reese made that abundantly clear in her New Year’s Day message on social media.

“Two things can be true. 2025, ima keep getting finer & yall gon keep getting mad,” Reese wrote alongside a couple of photos of herself wearing a daring New Year’s outfit.

Reese has dominated both on and off the court, and clearly, she has no plans to slow down any time soon.

The 22-year-old star has been working on her game this offseason, particularly her shooting, which has been a weakness for her. In Reese’s first season in the WNBA, she shot 18.8 percent from deep in 2024, making just three of 16 attempts from deep throughout the campaign.

Off the field, Reese continues to establish herself as a fashion icon. Her wardrobe choices have often turned heads, but she was still recognized as the FN Style Influencer of the Year early in December, per Yahoo!.

Regardless of what her critics say, Reese is more than ready for it.

Caitlin Clark’s 7th Grade Triumph Baffles Kelce Brothers in Much-Awaited Collaboration

Die-hard Swiftie Caitlin Clark is continuing her friendship with the pop star’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. The WNBA Rookie of the Year, who first met the KC Chiefs star at Swift’s concert in Indiana, finally appeared on the brothers’ podcast New Heights as their latest guest. Not only did Jason Kelce reveal that she was their most requested guest but her achievements from even before she turned professional continue to baffle him!

Podcasting Experience Helps Kelce Brothers Secure 'New Heights' Deal - The New York Times

The latest episode of the show talks about all things Clark, and at one point, the Chiefs player says, “We heard you got your first recruiting letter in 7th grade. Is this true?” Calling it “insane”, Travis Kelce asks if she was playing with high schoolers at that point and the Fever guard answered in the affirmative. Calling it “honestly sad” that she got college recruitment letters in 7th grade, Clark realizes how recruitment has changed in recent years.

Jason Kelce seems a bit baffled by her statement at first but then seems to realize what CC is saying. “I feel very fortunate,” the Fever guard continues, thanking her parents for keeping things balanced. “They wanted me to be in seventh grade and enjoy middle school and hang out with [my] friends. Like, you shouldn’t be worrying about where you’re going to college.”

The Kelce brothers seem in awe of her throughout as the Iowa sensation talks about her early exploits. “I was never in a rush,” she added. “My parents did a really good job of making sure I have a good circle around me. It wasn’t always about college recruitment.” Clark also revealed how she didn’t visit any schools until after her freshman season, eventually making a choice in her senior year.

New Heights’ surprise appearance may not have been a surprise for everyone as some guessed who the Kelce brothers were finally going to host after fans had long been requesting CC to make an appearance on the show. All that is left is for Clark to now meet Taylor Swift in person (and likely break the internet in the process).

Might it happen at a Fever game?

Caitlin Clark, Taylor Swift, and Travis Kelce – a long-awaited trio

Caitlin Clark is a long-time Kansas City Chiefs fan and Travis Kelce now seems to be a women’s basketball enthusiast. Taylor Swift has already appeared at NFL games and sent four bags of goodies to CC with a note that said Clark was inspiring to watch from afar. Per TIME magazine, the musician also said “Trav and I” were excited to get to a Fever game with the Eras tour now at its tail end and even invited the Fever player to attend a Chiefs game with her!

After their previous meeting at Lucas Oil Stadium, Travis Kelce had said on the pod that he was glad to have a Midwest connection with Clark, “Played high school ball, college ball, pro ball, all out here in the Midwest and it was cool catching up with her.”

Well, now we can’t wait to see these three meet up sometime in the future! But until that happens, Thursday’s episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce featuring Caitlin Clark will have to do.

While the whole sports world was ecstatic to hear the news that WNBA star Caitlin Clark joined Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce as a guest in their “New Heights” podcast, several Swifties couldn’t help but be disappointed about it.

Of course it’s not that Swifties don’t like Clark. After all, the Indiana Fever star herself is a certified Swift fan, as she proved when she attended the pop star’s concert in Indianapolis not once but twice in November.

However, the supporters of the “Bad Blood” hitmaker were expecting to see the singer guest on the show of her Kansas City Chiefs star boyfriend.

“I was hoping it was going to be Taylor!!” a commenter wrote. Another Swiftie said, “Sooooooâ€Ĥ not Taylor.”

“I thought it was Taylor… [expletive],” a disappointed fan added.

“We were hoping for Taylor,” a follower stated while using a sad emoji to express frustration.

A fifth social media user did express excitement about Clark’s appearance, but they also noted who they really want to see next, saying, “It’s going to be a GOOD one! We want Tay next!”

“Most requested guest?? Maybe second most requested??? Sooo excited for this episode!!!” another fan said, referring to Swift as the real “most requested guest.”

To be fair to Taylor Swift fans, it’s understandable why they are frustrated. Considering her relationship with Travis Kelce and the fact that the musician is currently on a break after her “Eras Tour,” it should have been easy for the Chiefs TE to invite her.

It should also be remembered that Swifties got their hopes up when Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce teased their in-demand guest for the Jan. 2 episode of the show. Prior to that, fans had been simply clamoring for Swift to come to the podcast.

For now, though, the Swift faithful can only be patient and hope that she comes to the podcast sooner rather than later.

Caitlin Clark’s New Year’s Message Turns Heads

It was a heck of a 2024 for Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.

She led the Iowa Hawkeyes to a second-straight appearance in the national championship, falling one game short of the title with a loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Along the way, Clark became the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader, passing former LSU Tigers star Pete Maravich (3,667) and finishing her college career with 3,951.

Shortly after, the point guard was selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA draft to the Fever. She led her new team to its first playoff appearance since 2016. Clark also broke many records during her rookie season, including the most assists in a season and the most points by a rookie, all while being named to the All-WNBA first team.

On New Year’s Eve, Clark celebrated her amazing year with an Instagram post, highlighting her 2024 experience both on and off the court. The post is going viral with nearly 50,000 likes just 22 minutes after publishing.

“My fav moments from the best year,” Clark captioned her post. “Time to make 2025 even better.”

Some sports figures left their own message for Clark, sending their thoughts in the comment section.

“What a year,” Golden State Valkyries guard Kate Martin said.

“Best year ever,” Los Angeles Sparks forward Cam Brink wrote.

“can’t wait for the tunnel fits in 2025,” added former Iowa star Gabbie Marshall.

“Only going up from here!!!” commented Kristin Juszczyk.

Clark is now preparing for her second season in the WNBA. However, after the Fever fired coach Christie Sides, they added 2023 WNBA Coach of the Year Stephanie White to the team.

With a young core including Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, and a coach of White’s caliber, Indiana could be a serious championship threat in the coming season.

49ers TE George Kittle Posts Three-Word Message for Caitlin Clark

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark went viral on New Year’s Eve after she reflected on her favorite moments from 2024. Her post drew the attention of her fellow WNBA players, fans and other sports personalities, including San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle.

Kittle sent a strong message to Clark, hyping up the year that awaits her.

On Instagram, Clark posted several photos from 2024, highlighting her “fav moments from the best year.” It included shots from her final season with Iowa and her draft day, as well as personal photos with her boyfriend Connor McCaffery and her Iowa and Fever teammates.

The WNBA All-Star also included a photo with Kittle and his wife, Claire Kittle, from the time the two watched the Hawkeyes play West Virginia in the women’s NCAA Tournament in March. The Kittles both attended the University of Iowa, with the 49ers tight end playing college football for the Hawkeyes.

In the comment section of the post, Kittle posted a three-word message for Clark, saying, “Great days ahead!!”

George Kittle is a big fan of Caitlin Clark, and he has shown his respect and admiration for the women’s basketball star multiple times in the past. That being said, it’s not a surprise to see the 49ers veteran support her once again.

In an interview in April, Kittle told Fox News Digital that Clark is just so “authentic,” adding that “she’s incredibly personable” and “charismatic.”

“She doesn’t fake anything,” Kittle added. “She’s very interested in everything you’re talking about. She’s great to have a conversation with. You can tell how much she loves her teammates.”
