Goldberg admitted that she doesn’t know what cornhole is.

Sara Haines wasted no time probing Whoopi Goldberg’s prowess on lawn games, as she stunned The View moderator by simply saying the title of her beloved cornhole on the show’s Tuesday season 28 premiere.

Haines filled her fellow panelists in on how she spent her month-long summer hiatus, and brought up cornhole while reminiscing about a Hilton Head vacation with her family.

“My mom is turning 80 in October, so we went as a family together. My parents, siblings, their partners, the kids,” Haines said. “When we get together, it’s the whole reason I wanted to have a family was because my original family was so blissful, that I thought, ‘How do we make this last forever?’ By just procreating, and that’s what we did.”

She then told her cohosts “it was a lot of cornhole” during their downtime, prompting Goldberg to physically recoil in shock over Haines’ decision to use the word shortly after saying “procreating.”

Haines reiterated that her family had a “cornhole tournament for days,” leading Goldberg to urge her to “explain cornhole” — and quickly.

“I know cornhole, but it just sounded a little sexual,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said, confirming what everyone else was thinking.

“It’s bean bags into wood with a hole, and you can really throw down with all ages of people. My dad is 82 and he beats us every time,” Haines continued. Goldberg, still too stunned to speak, attempted to throw the show to commercial while shifting both her face and her body in her seat.

Sensing Goldberg’s discomfort, Haines leaned over and quipped, “Not that cornhole,” before Goldberg looked toward the camera and said, “We’re going to be right back. Oh my God, cornhole!”

The exchange happened atop The View‘s brand new set, which also debuted as part of the show’s season 28 premiere. Goldberg welcomed the audience back to the show at the start of the live broadcast by standing on a large platform off to the side of the studio, holding a champagne glass in the air as she toasted to new episodes ahead.

Amid the show’s break throughout August, its cohosts made headlines on their own — including Griffin speculating on social media about how Taylor Swift could assist Kamala Harris in winning the election, while Ana Navarro hosted the second night of the Democratic National Convention in August, after she harshly criticized conservative pundit Ann Coulter for mocking Walz’s son, who has a learning disorder, for his heartwarming enthusiasm in supporting his dad at the Chicago event.

After spending the past week teasing a new album, Justin Timberlake returned to the stage Friday with a small hometown gig in Memphis, where the singer debuted a new song called “Selfish.”

The track — not to be confused with “Selfish” by Timberlake’s former group NSync — is believed to be the first single from the upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was, which Timberlake had been teasing over social media the week prior to the “One Night Only” Orpheum Theater gig.

Following the show, Timberlake formally announced the album with a teaser trailer narrated by actor Benicio Del Toro. In the 30-second clip, Timberlake is shown standing back to the camera above a model of a gas station alone in the desert, with a painted sunset off in the distance. “What the fuck is he staring at?,” Del Toro wonders in his voiceover.

Timberlake also shared a short snippet of the studio version of “Selfish” on his TikTok account:

The full version of “Selfish” — and likely more details about Everything I Thought It Was — will presumably emerge in the coming week as Timberlake is booked to appear on both The Tonight Show on Thursday ahead of his return to Saturday Night Live two days later.

Timberlake last released his Man of the Woods back in February 2018; the nearly six-year wait between albums marks the longest in the singer’s career since the seven-year gap between 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds and 2013’s The 20/20 Experience.

  • ‘The View’s Joy Behar Dubs Donald Trump A “Marxist” For Promising Government-Funded IVF: “That’s Called Socialism”

‘The View’s Joy Behar Dubs Donald Trump A “Marxist” For Promising Government-Funded IVF: “That’s Called Socialism”

After a month-long hiatus, The View returned today with a brand new live episode — and there was certainly a lot to catch up on, especially in politics.

During the second Hot Topics segment of the episode, the ladies weighed in on former president Donald Trump‘s latest promise that all costs associated with IVF treatment would either be covered by his administration or insurance companies.

However, Joy Behar was quick to remind the Republican nominee that having the government pay for medical care falls under his party’s definition of Socialism.

“My favorite thing is this IVF position, because what he said was the insurance company should pay for it all of the sudden. They were against it, they’re for it now — even though J.D. Vance is against it. [He] voted against it,” Behar said.

She continued, “Do you know how much it costs? $40,000 is a typical IVF procedure. And the government will pay it if the insurance companies won’t. That’s their idea of what? That’s called Socialism, according to their definition of Socialism. So Donald Trump is a Marxist.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked under Trump’s administration but has since spoken out against her former boss, agreed with Behar.

“I was working on Capitol Hill during Obamacare and I’m old enough to remember when Republicans opposed insurance mandates from the government … He’s not talking about how to pay for it,” she said, before later adding, “He’s thinking voters are gonna not pay attention and they’re gonna want the free thing. There’s no way for him to do it.”
    'The View'Photo: ABC
Griffin also revealed why she “lost [her] mind” when Trump recently said women should have access to abortion for longer than six weeks.

“He wouldn’t have won a Republican primary if he ran saying six weeks was too short, you need to have access to abortion longer,” she said.

Sunny Hostin, for her part, did not believe voters would forget that Trump played a big part in the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which ruled that the Constitution of the United States protected the right to an abortion.

“Who is going to forget that he is directly responsible for packing the Supreme Court with Conservative justices and bragged about it and he is directly responsible for the Dobbs decision, which took away women’s reproductive health rights in over 30 states?” she said. “Who is going to forget that?”

Jason Kelce Shares Which Taylor Swift Song His Daughter Can’t Stop Playing

In a recent interview, NFL star Jason Kelce revealed a charming detail about his family life: his daughter has developed an obsession with a Taylor Swift song.

Kelce shared that his young daughter can’t get enough of Swift’s hit track “Shake It Off.” The catchy tune has become a staple in their household, and Kelce humorously noted that it’s on repeat throughout the day.

Kelce’s mention of the song highlights the universal appeal of Swift’s music, which transcends age and resonates with fans of all backgrounds.

He described how the upbeat and playful nature of “Shake It Off” has become a favorite for family dance parties and sing-alongs.

This revelation offers a glimpse into Kelce’s personal life and the joy his family finds in Swift’s music.

It also underscores the cultural impact of Taylor Swift’s work, which continues to captivate audiences across generations.

As Swift’s music remains a staple in many households, it’s clear that her influence reaches beyond just her fanbase, touching the lives of people from all walks of life.

  • Jimmy Butler & Justin Timberlake’s Shocking Collab Leaves Fans Stunned as Nets Rumor Heats Up

Jimmy Butler & Justin Timberlake’s Shocking Collab Leaves Fans Stunned as Nets Rumor Heats Up

Current stop: Stockholm, Sweden. That’s where Jimmy Butler‘s world tour has now led him. “You better sing it bucket,” Justin Timberlake hollered at Jimmy from the stage of Tele 2 Arena to which the NBA star obliged. That was the scene from a Timberlake concert and, by the looks of it, Jimmy had a blast.

This came after his recent tour of China to participate in Yao Ming’s charity basketball game. Jimmy is keeping himself occupied with things he loves throughout the offseason. In Sweden, basketball wasn’t off the menu as the Heat forward was putting the work in the lab before heading to his main destination.

The destination was Justin Timberlake’s concert. Although Jimmy Butler wasn’t dressed in black and white, he certainly put on a show. This included some of his signature dance moves. While Timberlake took over the stage, controlling the crowd to his tune, Butler was grooving to it from a few rows back with a drink in hand. The 10-time Grammy award winner gestured a time-out after spotting Jimmy in the crowd and the two again linked up following the show. The two shot some pictures together, displayed in a carousel on his Instagram post. Butler captioned the post, “a night was had in stockholm sweden. shouts to @justintimberlake for a helluva damn show”.

    What’s your reaction?

Jimmy Butler and Justin Timberlake’s shocking collab: Did you see this coming? React!

Jimmy and side quests landed him in a music video with Fall Out Boys earlier this year, followed by a courtside cameo alongside Camila Cabello. But what of his main quest? The NBA championship still eludes him as Butler is entering his 13th season in search of that and the fans want exactly that despite his Nets links.

Fans urge Jimmy Butler to bring the chip to Miami despite Nets rumor

“Jimmy I’m still glazing please bring us a chip I know you can my glorious Butler,” a fan wrote. This is the common plea among the Heat fans who are looking for their first NBA Championship since 2013. Butler was agonizingly close to making that a reality before the Nuggets demolished them in the 2023 NBA Finals after losing at the same stage in 2020 to the Lakers. Last season was a forgettable one for the franchise as Butler missed the playoffs as the Celtics dumped them out in round one. Incidentally, Timberlake is a Celtic through and through, which led to some fans questioning the collab.

    What’s your perspective on:

Could Jimmy Butler’s rumored move to the Nets shake up the entire NBA? What do you think?

    Have an interesting take?

    Debate

“Jimmy no ring butler 🍀☘️☘️☘️”, another fan added, bringing up the heated rivalry between the franchises. The MCL injury kept Butler out of the series against the Celtics. In May, Butler retorted that if he was fit, the Cs would be at home. The Heat did exactly the same the previous year during their Eastern Conference Finals showdown. The 34-year-old also claimed that the Knicks would’ve surely been home if he played, showing his disdain for the NY side and his affinity to the Nets.

So it was understandable that a Nets fan wanted to see Butler in the black and white of the franchise amid the rumors. “Can’t wait to see you in that Brooklyn Nets jersey”, read a comment. Butler is reportedly open to joining the Nets in the free agency next summer. The 6-time All-Star’s intention of not signing an extension with the Heat is already out in the open and the next will possibly be his last chance to leave a lasting legacy in Miami.

I love you Jimmy. But it’s almost game time. We need you to bring us the championship this year,” a Heat fan urged in the comments of the post. It will be Butler’s 6th season in the franchise. While he has 2 All-Star appearances during that span, he failed to bring the big one to Miami. This will be a pivotal season for the Heat as the franchise might go into a rebuilt mode following this one. So a title will be the perfect way to end his tenure in Florida.

Jimmy Butler is one of the most popular players in the NBA.

He is coming off a year where he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 41.4% from the three-point range in 60 games.

The Miami Heat star currently has 10 million followers on Instagram and is always posting content to his story.

Recently, Butler was at the Justin Timberlake concert in Sweden.

He made a post that had over 79,000 likes and 200 comments in six hours.

Butler had his season cut short due to injury and he was unable to play in the 2024 NBA playoffs.

This was just one year after he led the Heat to the NBA Finals for the second time in four seasons.

That said, seeing Butler being able to travel and move around the world is a good sign that he is going to come back fully healthy next year.

The Heat lost to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in five games).

Whoopi Goldberg calls out ‘The View’ producers for Season 28 premiere “shocker” (HG)

The View is back, but with a new season and a new studio, there’s bound to be a few wrinkles along the way. This morning, moments after showing off their new space and debuting a fresh Season 28 theme song (courtesy of Leona Lewis and Diane Warren, no less), the ladies fumbled through the beginning of their very first segment.

While The View has been on hiatus since July, the co-hosts finally reunited and had plenty to chat about, including their fun Season 28 mugs and of course, all of the political events that have gone down since they last taped the show. But before they could launch into Hot Topics, there was some apparent confusion about what, exactly, they were supposed to be discussing first.

Whoopi Goldberg Calls Out 'The View' Producers For Season 28 Premiere “ Shocker” | Decider

“We haven’t been together for a while!” Sunny Hostin exclaimed, as Alyssa Farah Griffin noted, “There’s so much to catch up on.”

Hostin agreed, “It’s nice,” then the table fell into an unexpected silence, which was thankfully punctured by laughter around the table. Goldberg knowingly looked into the audience, then offered an explanation for the awkward moment.

“Now isn’t this funny. I thought we were starting with something totally different. And so, they’ve made a change, yes?” she asked, looking out at The View‘s trusty Executive Producer Brian Teta, who replied, “Yes!”
    Whoopi GoldbergPhoto: ABC
Sara Haines chimed in with her signature sunshine when she joked, “That’s how they force you to do what they want. They just put it in the prompter and say, ‘Go,’” but Goldberg maintained, “There was something totally different coming.”

When Griffin tried to assure her that the mystery segment was still included in the day’s episode, just later in the lineup, Goldberg replied, “I don’t really care if we do it in the order,” before shading the show’s producers: “It’s always nice to, you know, not get a shocker in the first four seconds of the show,” she said.

The studio and the song may be new, but one thing is clear: Whoopi hasn’t changed a bit.

Taylor Swift fans SLAM Rihanna’s boyfriend A$AP Rocky for referencing singer on controversial new song (HG)

A$AP Rocky is set to release a new song titled ‘Tailor Swif’ on Thursday which is an obvious play on the Cruel Summer singer’s name – and Swifties are less than thrilled over it.

The Good For You rapper, 35 – who recently insisted his sons RZA and Riot will have a normal childhood – also released controversial artwork along with the single’s announcement on Thursday on social media.

However, Swifties immediately took to X to express their disappointment that Rihanna‘s boyfriend was ‘using her name for clout.’

‘The obsession of male rappers with Taylor needs to be studied,’ one fan wrote, seemingly referencing to Taylor’s feud with Kanye West, which began back in 2009.

Another typed out, ‘Why does every male want beef with taylor swift? it’s weird,’ followed by a crying emoji.

‘Trying to get Taylor’s clout,’ a social media user shared, while one penned, ‘imagine how tired we are.’

One Taylor Swift fan also added, ‘Desperate for a hit so they have to include the industry someway or somehow.’

‘Bruh we don’t need this,’ another wrote, while one user on X typed, ‘who industry wants clout for her name.’

Another Swiftie also penned, ‘men won’t stop using her name for clout,’ as well as ‘can these men leave her alone…’

Tailor Swif appears to be a single off A$AP Rocky’s upcoming fourth studio album called, Don’t Be Dumb.

The LP was initially slated to drop on Friday, August 30 – but due to ‘leaks’ and ‘sample clearances,’ the music artist postponed the release to Fall 2024.

A$AP Rocky – whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers – previously sang about the Bad Blood songstress last year in Miami during the Rolling Loud festival.

The rapper notably performed three unreleased songs that have been cut from Don’t Be Dumb, including a track titled Wetty (Taylor Swift).

Swift’s name has made appearances in other songs in the past, such as in tracks by rapper Kanye West – who also goes by Ye.

A feud between the pair began in 2009 when the Heartless hitmaker interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech during the MTV Video Music Awards.

Afterwards, the pair put the past behind them and became friends – until he dropped the track, Famous, in 2016 which reignited the rift.

Lyrics included, ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b***h famous (Godd***)/I made that b***h famous.’

The songstress said she was not aware of the lyrics in the song before its release, while his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, told GQ that Swift had ‘approved’ of it.

‘She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much s*** for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.’

A source later told People, ‘Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyrics, “I made that b***h famous.”‘

Most recently, West mentioned Swift once again on the song, Lifestyle (Demo), off the Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign. Her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was also mentioned.

‘I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,’ Kanye could be heard rapping in the lyrics.

Last year, Drake also brought up Swift’s name in the track, Red Button – which is on the album For All The Dogs.

The lyrics included, ‘Taylor Swift the only n**** that I ever rated/ Only one could make me drop the album just a little later/Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it.’

A$AP Rocky’s album Don’t Be Dumb was set to drop on August 30, but he took to X earlier this month to explain the reasoning behind the delay.

During a recent interview with Billboard, the rapper opened up about leaks in the industry and in regards to his own music.

‘At this point I’ve been working on music for six years, but they leak my music and I get over it and say, “F*** it.”‘

‘They leak a lot of the music and it ruins it. Like my Taylor Swift video. I was pissed off about it, so I never released it.’

Rocky collaborated with other rappers and producers on the album, such as Tyler, The Creator, Metro Boomin, Pharrell Williams and also Mike Dean.

He explained that he had wanted director Tim Burton to help with the cover art, but due to scheduling conflicts, the pair weren’t able to find ample time to wok together.

However, the star revealed that the filmmaker has listened to Don’t Be Dumb.

‘I sat and I played the album for Tim Burton, and he was f***ing with it heavy,’ he said, and added Burton, ‘was rocking his head and he’s like, “Wow! I didn’t know you made that kind of music!”‘

Composer, Danny Elfman – who is known for creating music for an assortment of Tim Burton films – gave musical snippets which can be heard in tracks on the album.

  • ABC’s ‘The View’ Kicking Off Season 28 With a New Downtown Studio and Big Political Names (HG)

ABC’s ‘The View’ Kicking Off Season 28 With a New Downtown Studio and Big Political Names (HG)

The ABC daytime panel show The View is shaking things up for its forthcoming 28th season, which will debut next Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The program, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro, is leaving its longtime home on the Upper West Side to move to a new studio at Disney’s (almost finished) new New York headquarters in the Hudson Square neighborhood. And, fittingly, given the imminent U.S. presidential election, there will be plenty of high-profile political figures represented in its first few weeks back on TV, alongside other notable guests.

Among the guests in the first two weeks are Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, as well as athletes Katie Ledecky and Venus Williams, actors Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke, and Lauren Sanchez, who is releasing a new book The Fly Who Flew to Space.

The show is also making a significant change to its Behind the Table podcast, which is hosted by The View’s executive producer Brian Teta (this season will be his 10th leading the program). In addition to being available on all podcast platforms, ABC says that for the first time the podcast series will also be available on YouTube. Behind the Table sees Teta and the cast reacting to the show, and discussing their lives in a more casual setting.

“We are excited to get back to the table to dive into the topics that our viewers really care about,” says Teta. “The breakneck pace of the news cycle fuels our co-hosts’ opinions, resulting in some pretty incredible conversations. The show really thrives during presidential election season, and with our move to our new downtown studio for season 28, just two months before Election Day, I think the best is yet to come.”

The View is coming off a strong season, with a three-year high in total viewers, and marking its fourth-straight year as the most watched daytime talk show. ABC says that it is watched in more households than any other talk show in America, including late night.

The new studio at 7 Hudson Square will open as Disney prepares to move its New York workforce from its longtime home on West 66th Street on the Upper West Side to the new site downtown, with plans to sell its uptown real estate.

Construction was completed on the new headquarters earlier this month, with The View set to be among the flagship programs to originate from the new campus.
