Donald Trump survived a second assassination attempt just hours after publicly posting a message which read ‘I hate Taylor Swift‘ – prompting a social media frenzy which poked fun at the coincidental timing.

The internet was alight with suggestions that the former president fell afoul of her die-hard fans.

Ryan Wesley Routh, a Democrat donor, was arrested on Sunday accused of pointing an AK-47 at Trump as he played golf in West Palm Beach.

Trump made his anti-Swift post on X at 10.44am.

The gunman was identified by Secret Service agents – already in position at the 6th hole of the course – at 1.30pm. He fled and was arrested at 2pm.

She’d faced weeks of pressure to publicly endorse a candidate, and Trump appeared outwardly confident he had her vote at one stage, when he used AI-generated photos promoting a ‘Swifties for Trump’ campaign.

Swift herself said: ‘Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation.’

But the tables turned after the debate, when Swift made a three-pronged public statement in favor of Harris.

First, she let Harris walk out of the debate to her hit The Man, a song specifically about being a successful woman in a world which favors men.

Second, she made her vote known to her 283 million followers.

Finally, she allowed the Democrats to capitalise on her ‘friendship bracelet’ trend, with the Harris Walz campaign announcing immediately after her endorsement they would be selling bracelets inspired by the Swifties.

Trump initially shrugged off the blow, but on Sunday aggravated the fan base with his social media comments.

The tables were turned earlier in the day, with Swift fans concerned that Trump’s statement could put the popstar directly in harms way.

Accused shooter Routh does not have any known links to Swift or her fans.

His X feed shows a man who went from Trump voter to Trump hater in the span of eight years.

He wrote a tweet to Trump in June 2020 saying: ‘While you were my choice in 2106 [sic], I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving; are you retarded; I will be glad when you gone’.

FEC filings show him donating 19 times to everyone from Gabbard to Andrew Yang to Elizabeth Warren to Tom Steyer in the 2020 Democrat primary and he was registered as a Democrat, according to publicly available records.

Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty Friday to a traffic infraction — driving while ability impaired — to resolve his driving while intoxicated case in the Hamptons.

Timberlake apologized for his conduct in comments to reporters after court, saying, “Many of you have probably been covering me for a lot of my life . … I try to hold myself to a very high standard for myself — and this was not that.”

Timberlake appeared in person in Sag Harbor Village court on Friday. The judge ordered him to pay a fine and perform community service.

“The evidence revealed that my client finished the contents of one drink in two hours at the American Hotel,” Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Blake, told reporters after court as the pop star looked on. “And contrary to what was reported, he wasn’t drinking other people’s drinks, or warned in advance not to drive. He wasn’t rude, he wasn’t obnoxious, he wasn’t belligerent. In fact, he was polite and he was cooperative and he was respectful during his entire encounter with law enforcement.”

“His plea today to the reduced and amended non-criminal charge … is consistent with these facts,” he said.

Timberlake said, “This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”

“We can all be more safe out there. And I’m gonna do my part, I hope that everyone else does their part,” he said.

Timberlake was leaving a hotel in June when he was stopped for running a stop sign and swerving into the oncoming lane.

The officer smelled booze on the pop star’s breath, and police noted he had bloodshot, glassy eyes, according to a police report. Timberlake also had slow speech, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on a field sobriety test, according to the criminal complaint.

Timberlake told the arresting officer he had only one drink, the complaint said.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said in a statement Friday, “Mr. Timberlake chose to plead guilty and accept responsibility for driving while his ability was impaired by alcohol. We appreciate his willingness to hold himself accountable for his behavior, and for using his platform to increase public awareness about the dangers of drunk driving. … In 2024, with the prevalence and convenience of public transit and ride-shares, there is no excuse to get behind the wheel when you are impaired in any way.”

“Mr. Timberlake received the same treatment as any other defendant,” Tierney added. “Justice should be applied equally to all individuals, regardless of their wealth or celebrity status.”

The singer is currently on his “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour.” His next concert is Sept. 28 in Newark, New Jersey.

But a new, subtle change in the evolution of Taylor Swift has grabbed the attention of social media users: her newly straightened posture.

On Instagram and TikTok, hundreds of fitness experts and physiotherapists have given their two cents on the dramatic difference in the megastar’s standing stance.

Meanwhile, on social media forums like Reddit, fans discuss theories as to the reason for Swift’s slumped frame, with some comparing the hunch to that of fictional Lord of The Rings character, Gollum.

 Images taken between 2010 and 2015 show the record breaking artist, 34, sporting a slightly hunched back, while recent pictures from the Eras tour — from which she’s said to have pocketed more than $4billion — show an eye-catching transformation.

So what is behind her new, perfect posture?

According to one so-called ‘Postural Alignment Specialist’, who goes by Posture Mike on TikTok, Swift, who stands between 5’10 and 5’11, has a ’rounded upper back’, which can cause the head to hang forward, resulting in a hump-like appearence.

Extreme cases of this are known medically as kyphosis, whereby the normal curve in the middle section of vertebral column (the thoracic vertebrae) is more curved than normal.

In a video that’s attracted a million views, Posture Mike explains that this leads to our spine struggling under the weight of our heads — equivalent to a 18kg bowling ball — risking damage to the bones and ligaments in the area.

He goes on to suggest exercises to correct poor posture, including lying on your back with your legs elevated and bent at 90 degrees over a block or stool, while taking big, belly breaths.

 ‘Hold for five minutes to allow gravity to gently improve your head position,’ he said.

 In another clip, US-based physiotherapist Tyler Chong offers movements to correct Swift’s hunched back, including tucking your chin into your neck and then pushing it out again.

‘You should feel the muscles in the back of your neck below your skull turn on,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Swiss-based stretching studio StretchingLausanne shared a clip entitled, ‘how did Taylor Swift fix her posture’? which suggested a number of exercises that Swift may have performed in order to beat the slouch.

This included bending the shoulder blades back to ‘keep them connected’, lifting the upper body while lying stomach-down on a mat, and stretching the back using the ‘cat-cow’ yoga pose.

Experts suggest the dramatic change over the last decade is mostly due to Swift’s intense training regime which has strengthened her muscles

 Another contributor to the star’s changed posture could be the unique sports bra she was pictured wearing during rehearsals for the Eras tour last year.

The bra, from fitness brand Forme, costs $182 (£137) and is designed to ‘immediately improve your upper body alignment and body foundation,’ according to the Forme website.

The brand claims that the product was designed by an orthopedic surgeon and uses tension fabrics to apply pressure to key areas on your body, encouraging you to keep your shoulders pulled back and down.

However, experts have cast doubt on just how big a role the smart bra played in the change in Swift’s posture.

In a video that’s amassed 652,000 views on TikTok, physiotherapist Dr Dan Ginader said the bra ‘wasn’t as helpful as you might think’.

‘It’s not strong enough to hold you in that posture,’ he explained. Instead, he said the fabric ‘encourages’ the muscles to sit in a certain position — but they will only remain there if they become stronger.

‘It’s your muscles doing all the work, rather than the fabric,’ he said.

‘It was the amount of work training and strengthening Taylor did in preparation for the tour that did most of the work. The bra was just a gentle coach.’

Donald Trump has claimed that Haitian immigrants are eating pet dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio.

Asked about immigration during the television debate with Kamala Harris, he said: “They’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats.

“They’re eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame.”

With Kamala Harris shaking her head in disbelief and laughed, he continued: “People are saying their dog was eaten by people.”

David Muir, one of the debate moderators, said that according to the town manager of Springfield, there were no credible reports of animals being eaten.

Claims of pet-eating immigrants have appeared on X, formerly known as Twitter, in recent days. A woman claimed in a Facebook post that her neighbour’s daughter’s friend had seen her lost cat being eaten by Haitians.

The post was shared by the X account “End Wokeness” alongside an image of a black man carrying two geese.

Another video widely shared online shows police bodycam footage of a woman being arrested and accused of eating a cat.

The image of the man carrying geese was taken in Columbus, Ohio, and there is no evidence he is Haitian. The social media user who first posted the image told the Daily Dot website that he was outraged that “Right-wingers including Ohio’s Republican senator will take a random picture from the internet and use it as a weapon to further their agenda”.

The woman in the arrest video was born in the US, not Haiti, and was arrested in Canton, 172 miles from Springfield, the Daily Dot reported.

Police in the city also issued a statement denying the claims. “There have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.”

The Trump rapid response team stood by the claim, citing a report in The Federalist, a conservative online magazine.

It quoted a report made to a police dispatcher in which a member of the public claimed to have seen four Haitian migrants each carrying a goose.

After Justin Timberlake was arrested for allegedly drunk driving in the Hamptons early Tuesday, the pop star told cops he had just “one martini.” Earlier that night, the ex-NSYNC vocalist met friends at celebrity hotspot the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.

Now, The Daily Beast has been able to confirm with sources who have knowledge about the night of his arrest that Timberlake enjoyed a Vesper martini from the hotel’s cocktail menu, which also includes an Aperol spritz and Hemingway daiquiri.

“It’s all alcohol,” the insider said. “There is no mixer.”

The Vesper—invented by author Ian Fleming for his fictional James Bond and named after sultry double-agent Vesper Lynd—is made of a wine-based aperitif Lillet Blanc, Tanqueray gin, and Grey Goose vodka, shaken over ice.

As cocktail blogger Moody Mixologist notes, the drink “is not for the faint of heart” as the original recipe can contain a “whopping 4 ounces of liquor.”

“It’s safe to say that the level of alcohol in this martini is equivalent to a double of just about any other cocktail,” the blog says, “so please keep that in mind when mixing one up.”

How much alcohol Timberlake, 43, consumed that night is unclear, but authorities say he refused a breathalyzer test three times.

The “Cry Me A River” singer is charged with driving while intoxicated and was released without bail on Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty.

His lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., told Us Weekly, “The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test. Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane.”

Police say Timberlake was pulled over in his 2025 BMW at 12:37 a.m. for failing to heed a stop sign and “maintain his lane of travel.” He appeared intoxicated, his breath smelled strongly of alcohol, and he had bloodshot, glassy eyes, according to a criminal complaint, which also states he didn’t pass field sobriety tests.

One insider told Page Six that the arresting officer “was so young that he didn’t even know” who Timberlake was.

Timberlake, who is in the middle of his “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” told police he was following his friends home. The Grammy winner’s next court date is scheduled for July 26.

On Wednesday, Burke’s office said the prominent lawyer “looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations.”

“He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time,” they said. “He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”

One witness told the New York Post that Timberlake appeared “wasted” at the hotel bar and even snatched another patron’s drink when he went to the restroom. When the man returned, the Post reports, the songwriter was downing his beverage.

The observer recalled: “The guy goes, ‘Justin, that’s my drink!’”

Meanwhile, the American Hotel’s owner says Timberlake is welcome back anytime. Ted Conklin told TMZ the former boy-band heartthrob was a “great guest and a nice guy” and insisted that he was not over-served at the establishment.

The singer finally admitted in court that he had more than “one martini” before his DWI arrest.

The star, who initially claimed he’d only had “one martini” after he was pulled over back in June, admitted in court Friday that he had been drinking and was impaired at the time authorities arrested him behind the wheel in Sag Harbor, per TMZ. He pleaded guilty to impaired driving.

He allegedly told the cops at the time, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home,” as described in the complaint against him, which also noted that he was unsteady and couldn’t focus on speaking with officers while looking for his car registration.

Addressing the press just after his hearing Friday, Timberlake said, “I try to hold myself to a very high standard for myself and this was not that.” He then seemed to hold back tears as he said, “I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision.” He added, “Even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car.”

As part of his penance, Timberlake will pay a maximum fine of $500, complete 25-40 hours of community service, and make a public service announcement, likely to raise awareness around drunk driving. His New York license is suspended, as is the legal repercussion for refusing a breathalyzer as he did following the arrest.

Photos of an alleged PR strategy for the beloved couple’s split were passed around the internet. The paperwork had fans debating about whether or not they were legit. With that came questions about the possibility of Swift and Kelce’s romance being a publicity stunt. However, the couple’s reaction to the documents have now been revealed.

According to TMZ, the document was a complete plan about how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce would navigate their split. It even revealed that the stars would break up on September 28. However, a spokesperson for Full Scope agency claims that the document is “entirely false and fabricated and [was] not created, issued or authorized by this agency.”

In addition, lawyers are getting involved. Kelce and his team are looking to find out where and how the documents originated.

Sunny Hostin is entering a new phase of her life, and it’s coming with some emotions she didn’t expect.

Fans know the TV personality from being a co-host on The View, but behind-the scenes, she is a mom to son Gabriel, 22 and daughter Paloma, 18 (both of whom she shares with husband Emmanuel Hostin). Well, during the season 28 premiere episode of The View on September 3, Sunny revealed she and Emmanuel are officially empty nesters as they dropped Paloma off for her freshman year at Cornell University.

As Sunny explained to her fellow hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin, watching her youngest start the next step in her education had her feeling a certain type of way. And even more so, she consulted with a famous friend to help her get through it.

“I got to drop off my daughter at college and become an empty nester,” she stated in a video posted on YouTube. “I’m a mess, I’m in grief. I have Kelly Ripa giving me advice.”

Despite the sadness of both Gabriel and Paloma no longer living at home full-time, Sunny did say she found a way to keep up with her kids. As she explained to the audience, she’s been making sure to call and text Paloma as she gets through the first weeks of class… much to Paloma’s chagrin.

“I will say this. I am stalking my daughter now,” she joked. “I call her every day, I text her every day. She finally said to me this morning, ‘Stop.’”

Although Sunny is sad about seeing Paloma off to college, there’s no doubt she’s proud of her daughter’s achievement. Posting Instagram photos of her wearing a baseball cap with the Cornell logo, Sunny couldn’t hold back her emotion about this milestone in Paloma’s life.

“We are happy and humbled to be a Cornell Mom and Dad,” she captioned the upload.
