Stephen A. Smith declared ā€œthe honeymoon’s overā€ between Travis Kelce and girlfriend Taylor Swift after the Chiefs tight end was hardly a factor in Kansas City’s first two wins of the season.

During Monday’s installment ofĀ ā€œFirst Takeā€Ā on ESPN, Smith urged the All-Pro superstar to get things going on the field after he was outshined by the singer, along with second-year wideout Rashee Rice, in a last-minute, 26-25 win over the Bengals on Sunday.

ā€œWe saw more of Taylor Swift than we saw of Travis Kelce yesterday, on a Sunday afternoon,ā€ Smith said, referring to the 14-time Grammy winner being featured on the CBS broadcast.

ā€œā€¦ That wasn’t supposed to happen [Sunday]. We were supposed to see more of Travis Kelce yesterday than we saw of her. That’s not happening though. You’ve got to get going, you’ve got 39 receiving yards in the first two games. Come on now. Football season is here.

    ā€œHoneymoon’s over. Let’s handle our business, OK.ā€

Kelce had just one catch for five yards against the Bengals, although what would have been a clutch 41-yard reception in the fourth quarter was called back on Kingsley Suamataia’s holding penalty.

He had three catches for 34 yards in the Chiefs’ home opener against the Ravens, which Swift also attended.

The Chiefs pulling off last-second victories in both contests has kept the criticism of Kelce and the team mostly at bay.

Smith went on to praise Rice for his performances on Sunday.

ā€œRashee Rice had five catches for 75 yards, so that’s good… That brother talked before the game and then went out on the field and backed it up. So give credit where credit is due,ā€ Smith said.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s 51-yard field goal as time expired gave Kansas City the 26-25 victory over the Bengals.

A pass interference call, which moved the Chiefs to the Cincinnati 36, set up the kick.

ā€œKansas City lucked up, but the pass interference call was the right call,ā€ Smith said.

Stephen A. Smith said Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce needs to get it going on the field after just four catches and no touchdowns in the first two games of the 2024 season.

ā€œWhat I’m thinking about is, you look at Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy, you’re talking about three receptions for 22 yards and they managed to win this game.

ā€œYou’re not supposed to win that game when something like that happens for you on the offensive side of the ball. Cincinnati did play better but they weren’t able to close the deal.ā€

The Bengals fell to 0-2 to start the season.

Across two games this season, Kelce was targeted seven times and has four receptions for 39 yards and no scores.

Kelce saw a decline in his numbers last season on the field, as his Q Score skyrocketed off of it thanks to his relationship with Swift.

Kelce had 93 catches for 984 yards in 15 games, the first time he was under 1,000 yards receiving since 2015.

The small sample size this season indicates those numbers will likely drop even further.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Kelce will get his catches in due time.

ā€œThey did have some things that they were attempting there,ā€ Reid said after the game. ā€œHe’ll get his catches. It’s not that he’s slowing down or any of that bit, that’s not what the deal is.

Jimmy FallonĀ andĀ Justin TimberlakeĀ are honoring their ā€œbromanceā€ with a new song!

The pair revealed on the latest episode ofĀ The Tonight Show with Jimmy FallonĀ that they collaborated on a tune that will be featured on Fallon’s upcoming Christmas album — something which the late night host, 49, described as an ode to their friendship.

ā€œWe went to Electric Lady [to record it],ā€ Timberlake shared on the Monday, Sept. 16 episode, before jokingly adding, ā€œWe had no business recording this song at such a fantastic, world famous studio.ā€

ā€œWhat are you talking about? This is a high quality song,ā€ Fallon responded.

The comedian went on to say thatĀ Electric Lady studiosĀ was ā€œunbelievableā€ and that it was the ā€œbest place to record a record.ā€ He explained, ā€œLegends have been there and then they let me in there and I go, ā€˜Oh my god.’ So I go, ā€˜Justin I can’t believe I’m in this thing.’ ā€

ā€œAlso, the session probably should have only taken like two to three hours. We were there for like eight hours. Eight, nine hours,ā€ the ā€œCan’t Stop the Feelingā€ singer, 43, recalled.

Fallon admitted that they took so long to record because they were ā€œcrying laughingā€ and described their song — called ā€œYou’ll Be Thereā€ — as ā€œa silly song,ā€ noting, ā€œit’s about kind of a bromance.ā€

ā€œI mean it’s — it’s us,ā€ Timberlake shared, before the pair burst into laughter.

ā€œIt’s us saying, like, ā€˜Hey, you’ll be there. You’ll be there for me this Christmas,’ ā€ Fallon added, before asking the audience if they wanted to hear a bit of it.

Fallon then pressed play on his computer as the first notes of a ukelele could be heard playing, prompting Grammy winner Timberlake to say, ā€œnothing says Christmas like a ukelele.ā€

“This already started with a curveball,” Fallon said as he burst out laughing again.

The pair could then be heard singing the lyrics, ā€œTell me you’ll be there/Whenever the snow starts falling … Tell me that you’ll be there/The only thing on my wishlist is that you’ll be home for Christmas.ā€

Timberlake and Fallon got up to dance to the song before Fallon finally paused it, noting that it was ā€œjust a tasteā€ of what was in store. ā€œIt’s a jam,ā€ Timberlake added.

Fallon and Timberlake have been friends for over 20 years after first meeting at the 2002Ā MTV Video Music AwardsĀ where they bonded over their nervousness performing on stage. Since then, the duo have not been afraid to show off their friendship on social media and on theĀ Tonight Show. Timberlake has appeared on the NBC talk show numerous times and the pair have done everything fromĀ performing togetherĀ and creating funĀ music-videosĀ to playing the ā€œBest Friends Game.ā€

Fallon’s new Christmas album will be released on Nov. 1.

The View : Lily Collins Talks ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 4 And Its Off-Screen Romances (HG)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZk3WdbzXNQ

In a recent episode of “The View,” actress Lily Collins made an appearance to promote the latest season of the hit series *Emily in Paris*. The conversation began with a clip from the show, teasing fans about Emily’s upcoming travels, which, as Collins clarified, takes her character beyond Paris to new destinations. This led to a warm welcome from the hosts, particularly Whoopi Goldberg, and a conversation filled with lighthearted moments and deeper reflections on both the show and Collins’ personal life.

Lily Collins Talks 'Emily in Paris' Season 4 And Its Off-Screen Romances | The View

After the clip, Collins discussed her love for travel and her experiences in Paris. While much of her recent time has been spent in the City of Lights for filming, she admitted to being an anxious traveler, one who packs a week in advance. Collins shared a playful contrast with her husband, Charlie McDowell, who she says packs five minutes before leaving. Collins detailed how, despite their busy schedules, she, her husband, and their dog often stroll around the streets of Paris, getting lost in the beauty of the city and enjoying cafes along the way. This casual and spontaneous approach to downtime has allowed her to balance work and leisure, making the most of her time abroad.

The conversation soon shifted to Collins’ early career, particularly her time as a budding journalist. The hosts shared a nostalgic picture of Collins voting in her first presidential election in 2008, a moment that sparked a conversation about her involvement in Nickelodeon’s “Kids Pick the President” series. Collins spoke passionately about the importance of voter registration and using one’s voice, especially as National Voter Registration Day was just around the corner. As someone who spends much time living abroad, she highlighted the significance of voting, regardless of one’s location, and expressed her pride in supporting causes she cares about, such as human rights, women’s rights, and LGBTQ+ rights.

The discussion took a personal turn when Collins reflected on the pressures of growing up in the spotlight and her fear of voicing the “wrong” opinion. She emphasized that as long as a person stays true to what they believe, their voice matters. Using her platform for good has become a central value for her, and she encouraged others to find the confidence to speak out on issues they are passionate about. The hosts, particularly Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin, applauded Collins for her thoughtful approach to using her influence positively and for encouraging young people to vote and engage in the political process.

The excitement shifted back to *Emily in Paris* as the hosts were eager to dive into the latest updates about the show. Alyssa Farah Griffin mentioned she had already binge-watched the newly released episodes, while Collins shared the exciting news that the series has been renewed for a fifth season. Fans can look forward to more drama, romance, and scenic backdrops, particularly with the storyline expanding into Italy. Collins, who not only plays the main character, Emily Cooper, but also serves as a producer, expressed her excitement about giving more depth to the other characters in the series. She highlighted how the show is a collaborative effort and that she is particularly proud of the evolving storylines of the supporting characters.

The conversation then took a lighter tone when Hostin expressed her obsession with the show’s fashion. Collins and Hostin had a playful exchange about how over-the-top and glamorous some of the costumes can be, with Collins humorously admitting that some of the outfits, particularly the gowns, make everyday tasks like going to the bathroom quite a challenge. Collins explained that she often collaborates with designer friends like Harris Reed to create the show’s iconic looks, further highlighting the blend of real-life style and the show’s fictionalized fashion fantasy.

On a more personal note, Collins discussed her close friendship with Ashley Park, who plays Mindy, Emily’s best friend on the show. Their friendship has extended beyond the set, and Collins shared her joy in seeing Park’s real-life romance blossom with co-star Paul Forman. Collins admitted that she had a feeling something was developing between the two and couldn’t be happier for their relationship. She described Park as more than just a co-star, calling her a “sister,” and expressed how grateful she is to have found such a close friend through the experience of working on *Emily in Paris*.

Throughout the interview, Collins’ warmth and humility shone through, making it clear that while she enjoys the glamour and excitement of her career, she remains grounded in her values and personal connections. The interview wrapped up with a heartfelt goodbye from Whoopi Goldberg, and the audience was left eagerly anticipating more of Emily’s adventures, as well as Collins’ continued advocacy for using one’s voice for positive change.

  • MADD ‘Deeply Disappointed’ With Justin Timberlake’s Drunk Driving Plea Deal

MADD ‘Deeply Disappointed’ With Justin Timberlake’s Drunk Driving Plea Deal

he Mothers Against Drunk Driving organization toldĀ NewsweekĀ it is “deeply disappointed” thatĀ Justin TimberlakeĀ was only sentenced to community service after takingĀ a plea dealĀ Friday to a lesser charge stemming from his JuneĀ drunk driving arrestĀ in theĀ Hamptons.

The 43-year-oldĀ Cry Me A RiverĀ singer’s initial driving while intoxicated misdemeanor charge was dropped on Friday. Instead, he pleaded guilty to a non-criminal traffic violation of driving while impaired.

Timberlake, who shares two young sons with wifeĀ Jessica Biel, was sentenced to 25 to 40 hours of community service with the nonprofit of his choice in the Sag Harbor area. He will also have to pay a fine of up to $500.

A MADD spokesperson toldĀ NewsweekĀ in a statement, “Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is deeply disappointed to learn that Justin Timberlake was granted a plea deal in his alleged DWI arrest. MADD does not support plea deals in cases involving impaired driving, as we believe justice should be fully served for such a serious crime. Driving while impaired is a dangerous and reckless choice that puts lives at risk, and the consequences should reflect the gravity of that decision. While plea deals are commonly granted for defendants with no prior DWI convictions, they should not be the norm for a crime that kills or injures someone every 78 seconds in the U.S.”

“The key to eliminating this 100% preventable crime is lifesaving anti-drunk driving auto technology. The HALT Act, passed in November 2021, requires NHTSA to set a new national safety standard for anti-drunk driving technology in all new cars by November 15, 2024. That deadline is fast approaching, and MADD is urging NHTSA to take immediate action to ensure this lifesaving technology is integrated into every new vehicle to prevent people from choosing to drive impaired.”

The statement toĀ NewsweekĀ concluded, “Unfortunately, the outcome of this case is similar to what happens every day across the country, to the dismay of victims and survivors of this crime. However, what was different today is that Justin Timberlake stood before a crowd of reporters, admitted he made a bad decision and urged people not to drive if they’ve had one drink. We hope that he will continue to use his platform to educate the public about the very real public health crisis of impaired driving.”

NewsweekĀ has contacted reps for Timberlake and Biel for comment.

Timberlake Speaks After Court: ‘Take A Taxi’

When the judge asked Friday if completing community service in the affluent neighborhood of Sag Harbor was something he’d willing to do, Timberlake replied, “I’d be honored to.”

After the hearing, Timberlake’s attorney Edward Burke Jr. maintained that his client only had one drink in two hours on the night of his arrest.

“Contrary to what was reported, he wasn’t drinking other peoples’ drinks, or warned in advance not to drive,” Burke stated, adding that the lesser charge Timberlake pleaded to is “consistent with these facts.”

As part of his plea deal, Timberlake was required to makeĀ a public safety statementĀ on the dangers of drunk driving.

“Many of you have probably been covering me for a lot of my life, and as you may know, I try to hold myself to a very high standard for myself. This is not that,” Timberlake told reporters outside of the courthouse after the hearing on Friday. “I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision.”

“Even if you got one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car. There’s so many alternatives: Call a friend, take anĀ Uber. There’s many travel apps. Take a taxi,” Timberlake continued.

He also delivered a message to the people of Sag Harbor.

“I grew up in a small town, so I can appreciate and understand the strain or unique nature that this must have been on the people of Sag Harbor, but I just want to say to everyone who’s been involved, from everyone in the courtroom to everyone outside, including the police department, that I’m very grateful, and I thank them,” Timberlake continued.

He concluded, “This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever’s watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have. I guess in closing, I like to say, we can all be more safe out there. And I’m going to do my part. I hope that everyone else does their part. Thank you very much.”

Lily Collins recently appeared on “The View” to discuss her return in the hit series *Emily in Paris* and share some personal insights about her life, career, and the upcoming developments in her show. The conversation opened with a clip from the show, showcasing her character Emily’s signature charm as she navigates a potential vacation, leading to a humorous misunderstanding about whether Emily is heading to Rome or Krakow.

As the interview began, Collins was warmly welcomed by the hosts, and the conversation quickly turned to her experiences traveling, particularly her time spent in Paris while filming the show. Sara Haines asked about Collins’ travel habits and what kind of traveler she considers herself. Collins revealed that while she loves to wander and explore cities with her husband and dog, she is also an organized and slightly anxious traveler, packing her bags a week in advance to ensure she has everything she needs. Her husband’s approach to packing, she noted humorously, is the exact opposite, as he tends to pack just minutes before leaving, which she finds impressive and baffling.

The conversation shifted when Alyssa Farah Griffin brought up an earlier career moment for Collins, reminding the audience that Collins had once aspired to be a journalist and had covered Nickelodeon’s ā€œKids Pick the Presidentā€ at the age of 19. Reflecting on her younger self, Collins smiled at a throwback picture of her casting her first vote in 2008. This opened up a discussion on the importance of voting, especially with National Voter Registration Day around the corner. Collins, who has spent significant time living abroad, emphasized how vital it is for everyone, including those overseas, to exercise their right to vote. She expressed pride in supporting Kamala Harris and spoke about the importance of using one’s voice for good, especially when it comes to advocating for human rights, women’s rights, and LGBTQ+ rights. Her enthusiasm for civic engagement reflected her deep belief in the power of individual voices and the significance of voting, no matter where one is based.

Ana Navarro, another co-host, commended Collins for speaking up about social and political issues, noting that celebrities often face criticism for sharing their opinions. Collins admitted that growing up, she had feared saying the wrong thing but realized that as long as she spoke her truth, it was important to use her platform to champion causes she cared about. This confidence, she added, had been a personal journey, and she emphasized the value of standing by what one believes is right.

The conversation then returned to *Emily in Paris*, with Navarro and the rest of the panel expressing their excitement for the second half of the show’s fourth season. Fans had eagerly binge-watched the new episodes over the weekend, and Collins gave them something even more exciting to look forward to by announcing that the show had been renewed for a fifth season. She hinted that season five would feature more scenes in Italy, which thrilled the panel, particularly Navarro, who looked forward to seeing the Italian settings on screen.

As both the star and a producer on the show, Collins shared her excitement about the upcoming episodes. She revealed that while Emily’s story will continue to unfold with new romances and drama, she is equally excited for the development of the other characters. She praised the collaborative nature of the show and expressed her pride in seeing her fellow cast members’ storylines evolve. She made it clear that the show’s success isn’t just about her character, but about the entire ensemble cast.

Sunny Hostin, another co-host, playfully admitted that she hadn’t finished watching all of the new episodes because she wanted to savor them, prompting Alyssa Farah Griffin to jokingly promise not to reveal any spoilers. Hostin then shifted the conversation to one of her personal interests: fashion. She complimented Collins on the incredible wardrobe featured in the series, which has become one of the show’s trademarks. Collins revealed that she shares Hostin’s passion for fashion and discussed the fun she has with the show’s costumes. One memorable outfit, a ball gown designed by her friend Harris Reed, sparked a humorous conversation about the logistics of wearing such elaborate attire. When asked how she manages to go to the bathroom in some of the more extravagant outfits, Collins laughed and confessed that it can be quite the challenge, admitting that sometimes it’s simply not possible without a lot of effort.

Another interesting revelation came when the hosts asked about the real-life romance between Collins’ co-stars Ashley Park and Paul Forman, who play a couple on the show. Collins, with a playful smile, said that anyone who had spent time with the two actors could see their chemistry. She shared that she and her husband, Charlie McDowell, often go on double dates with Park and Forman, and expressed her happiness for her friends’ blossoming romance. Collins spoke fondly of her close friendship with Park, saying that one of the most rewarding aspects of working on the show has been finding a “sister” in her co-star.

As the interview came to a close, Whoopi Goldberg thanked Collins for her time and congratulated her on the continued success of *Emily in Paris*. The conversation covered a range of topics, from the importance of civic engagement and voting to the joys of travel, fashion, and friendship, offering viewers a glimpse into both Collins’ personal life and her professional world as a celebrated actress and producer.

Collins’ appearance on *The View* highlighted her growth as an actress, her dedication to important social issues, and her passion for both her craft and the people she works with. Fans of *Emily in Paris* can look forward to more of the romantic escapades, stunning fashion, and rich character development that have made the show such a beloved part of Netflix’s lineup, while also appreciating Collins’ genuine and thoughtful approach to life beyond the screen.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift apparently dressed up for Halloween… as the couple in the neighborhood which doesn’t hand out candy.

At least Kelce’s Kansas City home was.

Crime scene tape was put up around the Chiefs star’sĀ ā€˜modest’ $1M-dollar homeĀ to keep trick-or-treaters away and a security guard told kids that ā€œnobody’s home today,ā€Ā The Daily Mail reported.

Swift was in town to spend time with Kelce before leaving Wednesday morning.

The security guard sat in a sedan parked in the driveway and ushered people away as kids celebrated the holiday trick-or-treating.

But some didn’t believe that the pop star and Chiefs tight end were out, especially when lights came on in the home at night, according to the outlet.

One mother called them ā€œliarsā€ while another voiced frustration.

ā€œThey’re not handing out candy, you believe that?ā€ the mom said. ā€œWell, we know they’re lying. Swifty is here.ā€

Another mom questioned the need for secrecy.

ā€œI don’t get why he’s sitting in the car telling us nobody’s home, when clearly they are,ā€ another mom said. ā€œWhy don’t they just not answer the door.ā€

Whether the couple was actually in the home remains unknown.

However, Entertainment Tonight reported that he and SwiftĀ were planning to host friends and teammates for dinner.

ā€œI’m pretty sure we’re gonna get the gang together and have a nice little dinner — or a nice little dinner party, I should say,ā€ TravisĀ told his brother Jason last week on their ā€œNew Heightsā€ podcast.

ā€œLike a Halloween dinner party. Everybody comes in costumes and we have a party.ā€

Requests for comment to reps from Kelce and Swift by Page Six went unanswered.

Interest in the relationship between the ā€œCruel Summerā€ singer and Kelce has skyrocketed since the pair were first linked in September.

They since went public with their relationship last month and Swift has attended a number of Chiefs games to cheer on Kelce.

The ramped-up attention hasĀ taken its toll on the Kelce family.

ā€œThis is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with,ā€ Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, told NBC Sports recently.

ā€œOn one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about [and] that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ā€˜Man, this is a lot.ā€™ā€

Halloween is another example to add to the list, as it is unlikely the press were out interviewing familes at Travis’ home a year ago.

The couple reportedly put up crime scene tape around his Kansas City home to keep trick-or-treaters away and a security guard told kids that ā€œnobody’s home today,ā€ The Daily Mail reported. A lot of people did not like that.

Speaking to the New York Post, an unnamed mother in the area who lives nearby stated that the tape and security guard weren’t fooling anybody and it was obvious that the star couple simply did not want to give out candy to children.

ā€œThey’re not handing out candy, you believe that?ā€ the mom said. ā€œWell, we know they’re lying. Swifty is here.ā€

Another mom also joined in on the dislike for what Kelce and Swift were doing.
