VIDEO: Caitlin Clark Was Left Speechless After Reporter Dropped The Most Ridiculous Question On Her During Postgame Press Conference

Caitlin Clark has already become known for keeping great composure in stressful or weird situations. However, even Clark couldn’t keep her cool when this reporter asked this almost incoherent question.

After giving the Razzmatazz to those Windy City skyscrapers Friday night, what was the biggest wingding game you expected to find today in the shindig against these dynamos from Big D?” asked the reporter.

Clark immediately looked around the room, completely confused, and didn’t even say a word. She was left speechless by the question. She never even attempted to answer the question, and rather, the press conference just moved on to the next question.

“They need to stop asking my goat these terrible questions,” one comment said.

“This is a real reporter asking the real questions,” another said.

Obviously, though, the question wasn’t meant to embarrass Clark; rather, it was just a light-hearted joke, so it was nice to see nobody take it too seriously.

In the Indiana Fever’s most recent game against the Chicago Sky, Clark put the game on her back to secure a 100-81 win.

In 32 minutes played, she had 31 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds. She did all that while shooting .571 from the field and going three for nine from the three-point line.

During the game she was also the victim of a major cheap shot from Diamond DeShields while running down the court.

It was a big statement performance against the team’s fellow Rookie of the Year favorite, Angel Reese plays on.

Former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal played for 19 seasons with six teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat, before retiring. Throughout his professional career, Shaq achieved several milestones, including winning 4 NBA championships, being named NBA MVP in 2000, earning the NBA Finals MVP award three times, and being selected as an NBA All-Star 15 times.

In addition to his remarkable basketball career, O’Neal, who was recently praised by Gilbert Arenas, has also found success in the entertainment industry. As a DJ and NBA analyst, he has entertained his fans for years.

In a recent interview with People, DJ Diesel mentioned that his career as a DJ saved him from feeling lost after retiring from the NBA. O’Neal clarified that he began his career as a DJ because it provided him with the same rush of excitement as a championship game.

“I started DJing because it gave me the same adrenaline boost that a championship game would give me. I was lost because I had planned to retire two years after I retired. So I wasn’t really prepared. I’ve been playing since I was 14 years old and always had that step into the arena feeling of the game. I always had that hour and a half or so. And when I stopped playing, I didn’t have that.” O’Neal said

Following his retirement from the NBA, O’Neal released four studio albums, two compilation albums, two soundtracks, one unreleased album, and 19 singles.

O’Neal is one of the most entertaining personalities in NBA history. Along with former NBA player Charles Barkley, the “Big Diesel” has entertained basketball fans for years on the “Inside The NBA” show on TNT. Shaq has expressed that it’s a blessing for him to still be working because he believes that he won’t be able to do it one day.

“I went to this concert, and I got the same feeling again. I was like, ‘You know what? And I used to do this. Lemme see if I can pick it up again. So yeah, it’s fun, but it only lasts an hour and a half. I know a lot of people in my position don’t have anything going on, they just wake up and are lost. So the fact that I’m working, it’s a blessing. So any job I can get, I’ll just continue to do because one day I’ll be in that position where I won’t be able to do it anymore.” O’Neal added.

O’Neal is a successful businessman. He owns “The Big Chicken,” a fast-food chain. In addition to his role as the general manager of Kings Guard Gaming in the NBA 2K League, he was a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings from 2013 until 2022.

LeBron James has consistently shown support for Clark. The all-time points leader has praised the standout Fever player on numerous occasions. In May 2024, while appearing on the Mind the Game podcast with the Lakers’ new head coach, JJ Redick, James emphasized some unique qualities of Clark.

“The one thing that I love that she’s bringing to her sport is more people want to watch. More people want to tune in. Don’t get it twisted, don’t get it up: Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great things are going to happen for the WNBA.” James said.

Clark is considered one of the greatest collegiate players of all time. In her first season in the WNBA, the 22-year-old point guard has already achieved several milestones. Clark’s next game will be against the Dallas Wings, and it will be fascinating to see the rookie’s performance.

Reese and former college rival Caitlin Clark have been battling for the prestigious accolade since the beginning of the season, yet they have both insisted that they do not care about it.

The forward, who suited up for the Chicago Sky against Clark and the Indiana Fever on Friday night,  was asked about it again ahead of the clash and reiterated her stance, also claiming that the erstwhile Iowa star isn’t concerned with it either.

“We don’t either care about the Rookie of the Year,” she declared. “I think you guys have made it a big thing.

“So just continue just to work within our team, we both wanna, we’ve been waiting to win, and that’s what we’ve done in our collegiate career, we played against each other in two numerous last year and the year before in the March Madness tournament so we’re just trying to do whatever it takes to win, that’s what’s important right now.”

Caitlin Clark Said Pretty Much The Same Thing About Herself And Angel Reese

Clark said something similar during her own media availability on Friday.

“I think me and Angel would both give you the same answer. You don’t wake up and think about individual awards,” she said. “I know that’s what all of you think we do… That’s what everybody wants to make this about.

“Both of our teams are competing for playoff spots. That’s our main focus. That’s a selfish thing to just care about an individual award, and she would give you the same exact answer.”

The Fever beat the Sky pretty soundly on the night, blowing them out 100-81, with Clark scoring a game-high 31 points.

Reese, meanwhile, recorded another double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is already used to turning heads whenever she shows up to an arena, and such was the case on Sunday.

Clark walked into College Park Center, rocking a denim look. She paired her jeans and a jean jacket with the black and white ‘Panda’ and a bright blue Birkin bag.

Here is how fans reacted to her outfit:

Coming to Sunday’s matchup against Dallas, Caitlin is averaging 18.4 points, 8.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, per her stats on ESPN.

Her numbers are good enough for her to lead all rookies in points, assists, steals, field goals, and three-pointers.

The only reason she may not win outright Rookie of The Year is because Angel Reese is also tearing up the league with her rebounds and double-doubles.

Entering Sunday, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have eight regular season games remaining as they try to remain in contention to get their first playoff bid in seven seasons.

This is simply incredible for a team that started the year 1-8, and could see themselves finishing over .500 for the first time in a long time.

LeBron James Gives Caitlin Clark Her Flowers After WNBA Record-Setting Game

LeBron James liked what he saw from Caitlin Clark after another record-setting performance on Friday.

The Los Angeles Lakers star took to X after the Fever defeated Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky:

In that game, Clark had a career-high 31 points and added 12 assists and four rebounds in the 100-81 win.

Also in that game was Caitlin Clark becoming the first player in WNBA history to record 23-plus points and 12-plus assists in a single game.

As Analysts, fans, and players debate over who should earn the Rookie of the Year award, Reese abruptly ended the conversation with a shocking declaration. In a recent interview, the former LSU athlete stated that she doesn’t care about winning Rookie of the Year and believes that Clark feels the same way. Reese, recently criticized by WNBA fans after announcing her podcast, mentioned that the media has blown it out of proportion.

“We don’t either care about the Rookie of the Year. I think you guys have made it a big thing…. we played against each other in two numerous last year and the year before in the March Madness tournament, so we’re just trying to do whatever it takes to win; that’s what’s important right now.” Reese said.

Caitlin Clark has continued on her hot streak, and this time, it comes in a heated matchup against the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky.

    Caitlin Clark sitting down

During the game, she was caught saying that the Sky had her “f*cked up” in a game that saw a lot of physical play and even had a cheap shot against Clark in the fourth quarter when she was dribbling down the court that sent her flying.

Of course, though, in traditional Caitlin Clark fashion, she rose above all the drama and delivered an amazing performance to help her team 100-81 win.

In 32 minutes played, she dropped 31 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds while shooting .556 from the three-point and .571 in field goal percentage. It’s certainly one of the best performances she has put on this season, even against fellow Rookie of the Year candidate Angel Reese.

Because of these two great rookies, it seems as though a pretty big rivalry has formed between the Sjy and Fever, as this isn’t the first major incident to happen between the two teams this year. Chennedy Carter of the Sky was seen earlier chirping and being physical with Clark in a matchup.

Caitlin Clark Is Having An All-Time Rookie Season

This year, Clark is leading all rookies in several important statistics. She ranks first in points per game, third in rebounds per game, first in assists per game, first in steals per game, and first in player efficiency rating.

However, one poor aspect of her game that can’t be overlooked is her turnovers. Right now, she averages 5.4 turnovers per game, with the next closest rookie sitting at 2.9. In fact, she has the most turnovers all-time by any rookie, with 174.

Possibly, the latest example of that was this brutal cheap shot that Diamond DeShields of the Chicago Skjy took on Clark as she was dribbling down the court.

The foul has many fans outraged, thinking that it was on purpose just because of who Clark is.

Hahahahaha they brought DeShields in there to as a goon. Down 25 with 3 minutes and she got 3 fouls on Clark, including that one. We ALL know what that was about,” one comment said.

DeShields better get suspended for assaulting a player on the court. This is the type of play that made the WNBA unpopular. Nobody wants to watch that,” another said.

Catlin averages 4 free throw attempts a game but against Chicago went to the line 11 times because they were getting blown out and kept fouling her in frustration but the sky is a dirty team as we’ve seen under Weatherspoon and a terrible team now 11-20 with 5 straight losses,” a third added.

Many fans though DeShields should have also been ejected for the play, but ultimately was not.

The Indiana Fever has been one of the worst teams in the league for quite some time now. However, they struck gold when they could take Clark with the first overall pick last year.

Now Clark is repaying them by leading them to a .500 record as of Saturday. The Fever sits with a 16-16 record. The team has not finished with a record of .500 or better since 2017, when they finished 17-17.

  • Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz ‘tired and drained’ as reason given for U.S. Open upsets

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz ‘tired and drained’ as reason given for U.S. Open upsets

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are both running on empty after a busy summer schedule, according to Jack Draper.

The quickfire exits of Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz at the U.S. Open were unprecedented at such an early stage, but Jack Draper believes there’s a clear explanation for why both stars underperformed. The Paris Olympics appear to have taken its toll on several tennis players, and Draper is convinced that Djokovic and Alcaraz are emotionally and physically drained.

Alcaraz was stopped in the second round after losing in straight sets to Botic van de Zandschulp and Djokovic fell a round later, losing in four sets to Alexei Popyrin. Both Alcaraz and Djokovic continue to dominate the men’s singles and recently met in both the Wimbledon and Olympic finals, but it caught up to them in New York.

Even when both stars went two sets down in their respective matches it was expected they would fight back and clinch a five-set thriller, just as fans have seen many times before. However, both lacked the energy required and Draper is convinced it’s down to the Olympics.

“Yeah, I mean, it is obviously weird, but you know, I think both of them obviously played the Olympic final,” Draper said after beating Van de Zandschulp to advance to the fourth round. “I think that’s taken a lot out of them.

“It’s taken a lot out of everyone, but they obviously made the finals, and it was emotional for both of them. Obviously, Novak, that was probably his biggest goal, and to come through that is obviously emotionally challenging to sort of have a rest and then come here.

Draper thinks that Alcaraz and Djokovic have burnt out

“Same with Carlos as well. You know, he’s achieved so much this year winning the French, Wimbledon. I’m not surprised that they’re probably feeling really tired and emotionally a bit drained.

“But I watched both the matches, and I thought Botic played an incredibly high level of tennis against Alcaraz. Even Popyrin last night, he won in Montreal, and again, I watched the opening two sets before I went to bed.

“I didn’t honestly feel like Djokovic was playing incredibly badly. Maybe his serve was a bit below par, but I felt like Popyrin played an incredible match as well. There’s a lot of players on the tour at the moment who are really dangerous and on their day can play an amazing match against the best players in the world.”

Draper would have faced Alcaraz if not for the upset but ended up dominating Van de Zandschulp and setting up a fourth-round clash with Tomas Machac.
