Dream Targets Dashed As Lavine Headed Elsewhere in At Least 3-Team Blockbuster

The Milwaukee Bucks had long been linked to Bulls Star Zach Lavine, even emerging in the betting market as the favorites to acquire him, but those hopes were dashed with an announcement Sunday night from ESPN’s Shams Charania: in a blockbuster between the Bulls, the Kings and the Spurs, LaVine is en route to Sacramento. De’Aaron fox will head to San Antonio.

With this move, the Bucks will have to look elsewhere to improve there roster–but their hopes of making a major splash have taken a brutal hit.

Milwaukee Bucks Miss Out on Lavine, Spurs Win Big with De’Aaron Fox

The Lavine-Fox trade is the second whopper in 24 hours after the Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis news in the Mavs and Lakers deal. This transaction differs, of course, in that the two stars involved are not being swapped in one-for-one fashion. Rather, the Bulls receive salary filler and picks while the Spurs and Kings take the stars.

To put it lightly, the West has sustained two earthquakes in a day that will drastically reshape the conference.

At 24-24 and 10th in the conference, the Kings were looking to move off of Fox after he informed them he would not be signing an extension with the franchise. Lavine is a nice piece, but he doesn’t make them better.

The real change comes in the status of the Spurs (21-25), who now have a star guard to pair with Victor Wembanyama. And if Fox re-signs in San Antonio, that will be a monster duo for years to come. While the Spurs might still have a capped ceiling in 2024-25, this trade immediately makes them favorites to at least make the play-in and potentially be a very scary first round matchup for the first or second seeds.

Kings Get a Massive Haul for Fox

Charania also reports that Chicago will receive center Zach Collins and guard Tre Jones from the Spurs, wing Kevin Huerter from the Kings, and their 2025 pick back, previously owned by San Antonio. The Spurs will receive veteran guard Jordan McLaughlin along with Fox.

While Sacramento has found themselves fading from serious contention this season, their haul in the trade will aid the franchise substantially over the next several years. In addition to Lavine, the Kings bagged three first round and three second round picks.

Yes, you heard that right. Three firsts (2027, 2031, 2025 but top-14 protected) and three seconds (2025, 2028, 2028).

Lavine has a bad contract, but such a massive return in draft capital, in addition to a player that will at least keep Sacramento competitive, demonstrates Fox’s value and just how badly San Antonio wanted him.

As for Milwaukee, well, that door has closed. Jimmy Butler available, but that’s a messy situation. CJ McCollum is another option but hasn’t been linked to the Bucks. GM Jon Horst should already know that many fans won’t be happy with his perceived gun-shy attitude in the market.

Angel Reese has made Unrivaled history. The Chicago Sky forward, who plays for Rose BC in the new three-on-three women’s basketball league, earned the division’s first-ever ejection following a quick pair of technical fouls.

Reese and Rose faced Laces BC on Saturday night, but the forward’s time on the court was cut short when she was thrown out of the game while her team held an eight-point lead in the second quarter.

The former LSU star had a foul called against her after opponent Tiffany Hayes hit the floor. She wasn’t in agreement with the call and seemed to brush Hayes off while walking away, but the referee may have thought the gesture was directed at him as he blew his whistle for a tech.

Reese pleaded her case and kept arguing after Hayes stepped to the free throw line. She was quickly hit with another tech.

Check it out in the video below:

Angel Reese Was Having A Monster Game On The Boards

Reese became the first player to receive two technical fouls in the league’s short history.

“Well there’s a first,” one of the announcers said. “Our first Unrivaled ejection.”

Reese played seven minutes before her ejection, scoring six points on 2-of-7 shooting. She had already racked up 15 rebounds by the second quarter.

Her next opportunity to play will come next Friday, with Rose scheduled to square off against Mist BC. The game will be aired on TNT.

  • Chris Russo finally admits he ‘shouldn’t be picking on’ Caitlin Clark after wild Chiefs rant

Chris Russo finally admits he ‘shouldn’t be picking on’ Caitlin Clark after wild Chiefs rant

Dan Patrick might have gotten Chris Russo to do something few have ever done before.

    Admit he was wrong.

Russo was one Mad Dog a day earlier over the fact that Caitlin Clark showed up to last weekend’s Chiefs playoff game and questioned her fandom, and was raring to go off again on Tuesday when he was on “The Dan Patrick Show.”

What he didn’t seem to anticipate was Patrick pushing back on the fact that Russo was dead wrong about Clark “all of sudden” becoming a Chiefs fan.

“Caitlin Clark has announced her fandom with the Chiefs years ago,” Patrick chimed in to say.

“Caitlin Clark has announced her fandom with the Chiefs years ago,” Patrick chimed in to say.

“I never heard that, did she? I didn’t know that,” Russo said.

“Did she? She’s a Chiefs fan. She knows about Super Bowl I?” Russo continued to ask to the bemusement of Patrick. “Does she know about Miami-Kansas City double overtime 27-24 for one of the most famous games in the history of the National Football League?”

Russo’s bigger issue, it appears, is his thinning patience with all the attention that the Chiefs have been getting.

Kansas City is looking to win its third consecutive Super Bowl this season and could move closer to that goal with a win over the Bills on Sunday in the AFC championship game.

During Tuesday’s appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show,” the two also went back and forth over how much Taylor Swift, the pop icon and the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was being shown on broadcasts.

The pair did return to the subject of Clark, with Patrick bringing up the well-circulated photo of the Indiana Fever superstar wearing Chiefs gear when she was younger alongside family members.

“Looks like she’s about 8 years old, she’s with her cousins and she has her Chiefs jersey on,” Patrick said.

“Oh you guys with Caitlin Clark now,” a smirking Russo said before Patrick offered his fellow sports talk host a chance to apologize to the hooper.

“What is she Hank Stram now?” Russo said with a laugh. “I guess. I guess. I shouldn’t be picking on Caitlin Clark. I’m Chief’d out.”

Clark has spoken about her Chiefs fandom a number of times before showing up to the 23-14 win over the Texans, including on a ManningCast broadcast in 2023 and more recently in an episode of the “New Heights” podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce.

  • Caitlin Clark’s Shooting Video on Her Birthday Leaves Fans in Disbelief

Caitlin Clark’s Shooting Video on Her Birthday Leaves Fans in Disbelief

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark spent part of her birthday working out in the team’s facility on Wednesday. And while she received a surprise from the team itself, she also gave fans a sweet treat on her special day.

On social media, the Fever shared a video of Clark from her latest workout, and it was simply remarkable. The clip showed the Indiana playmaker working on her shooting, and according to the team, she made 50 of the 54 attempts she took.

“Caitlin Clark shot 50-for-54 from three on her birthday,” the team wrote in the caption of the post. “Read that again.”

Everyone knows Caitlin Clark is a great shooter. Her ability to shoot from long distance is a huge part of her game, which also makes her one of the deadliest offensive players in the game.

In her rookie season, Clark not only led the league in 3-pointers made with 122, but she also set the rookie record for the most triples ever. In the history of the WNBA, the Fever guard had the second-most 3-point makes in a single season, only behind Sabrina Ionescu’s 128 in 2023.

Despite that, fans were still left in awe by her latest showing, as it only further highlights how remarkable of a shooter she is.

“That’s wild,” a commenter wrote. Another one said, “Caitlin Clark 50-54! That is GOAT stuff on the GOAT’s birthday!”

“That’s pretty incredible – Caitlin Clark just shot 92% from the 3-point line. Out of 54 rapid-fire shots! Outrageous,” another supporter shared.

“I keep thinking it’s a video loop. But it’s not. Insane,” a fan added.

A social media user further stated, “That’s crazy. Wow!!!!!!”

“Holy Moly! Oh, and Happy Birthday,” a shocked poster said.

Caitlin Clark’s Three-Word Response After Boyfriend’s Passionate Message

Caitlin Clark celebrated her 23rd birthday on Wednesday and, sure enough, the Indiana Fever guard got an outpouring of sweet messages from family, friends and fans alike.

Former Iowa Hawkeyes teammate Kate Martin made sure to greet the Fever star on her special day, writing on social media, “Happy birthday, love you.” The same goes for Fever teammate Aliyah Boston, who called her “sistaaa” and wished her to have the “best day and year everrrrr.”

One message that stood out, however, was from Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery. As he greeted her with a happy birthday, the ex-Hawkeyes hooper expressed how thankful he is to have the WNBA All-Star in his life.

“Happy 23rd CC (finally we’re celebrating together this year)!” McCaffery wrote. “You have an incredible ability to inspire and lift up those around you, and I am lucky to learn from you every day. Thank you for always being you. I love you.”

Of course, Caitlin Clark saw the message, and she quickly shared her appreciation for her partner.

After witnessing Clark’s latest workout, it’s understandable why many other Indiana faithful couldn’t wait for the 2025 season to get started.

Awh, love you,” Clark said along with a pleading face, red heart, black heart and fire emojis.

Clark and McCaffery have been dating for almost two years now. They started their relationship in April 2023, though they didn’t make it Instagram official until August of the same year, per Business Insider.

Sure enough, McCaffery has been a massive supporter of Clark amid her WNBA career. While they are private about their relationship, McCaffery has often been seen cheering for his girlfriend online.

Popular Reality Show Duck Dynasty Set To Return

The announcement about Duck Dynasty’s return, following its 2017 series finale, was made by A&E on Wednesday, January 22.

Robertson Family Members Celebrate As “Duck Dynasty” Announces Return To TV
The spinoff, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, has been confirmed to kick off with two seasons, featuring 20 one-hour episodes.

As many know, the original show followed the Robertson family, who built their success through their family-owned business, Duck Commander. Over 11 seasons, it gave viewers a glimpse into their entertaining personalities and hilarious antics.

Eight years later, the Robertson family is back and bigger than ever. Now that the Robertson kids are all grown up, the new revival will primarily focus on Willie and Korie as they navigate life with their adult children, who are now experiencing marriage, and parenthood.

Of course, fan-favorite family members like Phil, Miss Kay, Uncle Si, and more will also be making their return.

The Robertson Family Celebrates The Return of Duck Dynasty

So many people are thrilled about the return of Duck Dynasty, but no one seems more excited than the Robertson family themselves!

Members of the family took to their social media accounts to celebrate the exciting announcement:

“Our hope is for you to watch again together as a family and pray our show brings families back around the dinner table giving thanks to God and loving one another,” Sadie Robertson wrote. “Our prayer as a family is and always has been that we are bright lights for His Glory. We’re SO glad to be back!”

Her husband, Christian Huff, also joined in on the celebration with a fun video, calling Sadie his “celebrity crush.”

Mary Kate posted a sweet video montage highlighting where the family members were during the original run of the show and where they are now as it returns. It proves just how much they’ve all grown up!

Rebecca Robertson said that it took “lots of prayer” for the family to get to this point.

“After months of filming and years of planning (with lots of prayers along the way), we can’t believe we’re back to share our lives with you ON TV! And this time, it’s the whole family—even the tiniest members! How fun is that?!”

Willie and Korie also shared how thankful they were for the reality show to be returning.

“Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home,” they said in a statement. “We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.”

As of right now, not many details have been revealed about Duck Dynasty: The Revival. However, fans can expect the show to air sometime in the summer of this year.

  • Bob Dylan and George Harrison practicing together in rare 1971 found footage

Bob Dylan and George Harrison practicing together in rare 1971 found footage

In an extraordinary glimpse into music history, recently unearthed footage from 1971 captures Bob Dylan and George Harrison practicing together in an intimate, impromptu jam session.

The duo’s raw chemistry and effortless synchronization breathe new life into timeless melodies, their voices weaving a mesmerizing tapestry of folk and rock. The grainy yet evocative visuals pull viewers into the room, where every chord and lyric resonates with authenticity and genius. Fans watching this rare footage are overcome with awe, their hearts swelling with nostalgia and a profound sense of witnessing a moment of unrepeatable magic between two legendary artists.

In 1971, Bob Dylan and George Harrison united to raise money for refugees by performing at Madison Square Garden. There is restored footage of their rehearsal that shows the two legends working together while practicing the day before the show.

The two men are on stage wearing blue jeans and jean jackets. George Harrison has an overgrown beard, and Bob Dylan is sporting his memorable hairstyle. They both strum the acoustic guitars in rhythm.

They are working on their harmonies while the tech crew checks their guitars. Standing in the spotlight, Bob and George look at each other when they sing to line up the vocals.

It is interesting to see them messing up the words when they harmonize in this unpolished rendition of the song ‘If Not For You.’ Dylan also plays his legendary harmonica in a solo break, trying to work out the plan for the music.

It is unrehearsed, but it still sounds great. These two practicing sounds better than most people’s prepared song. When the song concludes, George talks to Bob off-mic, making suggestions.

A production manager says, ‘Bob would come in and rehearse with the band what songs he was going to do. So it was really a matter of working it out in the last minute.’ George Harrison talks about the rushed process, saying, ‘Right up until the moment he stepped on the stage, he was not sure he was coming.’

George continues, ‘Cause the night before we went to Madison Square Garden, he saw all these cameras and microphones and this huge place, and he was saying, hey man, this isn’t my scene, I can’t make this.’ However, the two legends pulled it off and generated $250,000 from the show, with even more coming from the record itself to help feed the refugees.

  • Phil Collins, Chester Thompson and Luis Conte Proves They Are A World-Class Drumming Trio

Phil Collins, Chester Thompson and Luis Conte Proves They Are A World-Class Drumming Trio

The stage lights dimmed, and the rhythmic pulse of drums filled the arena, igniting a roar from the crowd. Phil Collins, flanked by drumming legends Chester Thompson and Luis Conte, delivered a jaw-dropping percussion performance that left the audience in awe.

Each beat was a masterclass, blending precision and passion, as the trio exchanged electrifying solos and seamless transitions. The audience sat mesmerized, erupting into applause with every crescendo. It wasn’t just music—it was a celebration of rhythm, energy, and virtuosity. As the final note echoed, the standing ovation spoke volumes: this was drumming at its absolute finest.

May be an image of 3 people and musical instrument

Phil Collins might arguably be best known as a singer and songwriter who releases pop and rock music (both as a solo artist and with the band Genesis), but he is also a world-class drummer with the talent and capability to drum in progressive and experimental styles. This was proved beyond doubt by the opening segment of his 2004 The First Farewell Tour, in which Phil himself performed an incredible drum piece alongside his touring drummer Chester Thompson and percussionist Luis Conte.

Titled ‘Drums, Drums and More Drums’, the piece was intended to act as an introduction to the two hours of big hits and fan favorites that Phil and his band would subsequently be playing, and it did a brilliant job of getting the audience warmed up for the ensuing performance. As Phil walked out onstage and took his place at the drum kit, the crowd went wild, while another huge cheer followed once he had pulled off a tricky drum solo that gradually got more and more intense.

Next, it was Chester’s turn, who pulled off a similarly skillful solo, before Phil joined in again and the pair played a high-powered, energy-filled segment in sync with each other. Finally, it was the turn of Luis Conte, who joined the pair on stage and proceeded to thrash out a formidable rhythm on his percussion kit with the accompaniment of Phil and Chester. This final moment of the piece where all three drummers play in sync is arguably the most exciting, and the crowd is clearly mesmerized.

Once the piece was finished, the band wasted no time hanging around either, launching straight into the first proper song of the night, ‘Something Happened On the Way to Heaven’. Released in 1990 as a single from Phil’s fourth album ‘…But Seriously’, the vibrant, brass-infused track sounded incredible when the band played it live on the First Final Farewell tour, with Phil moving from behind the drum kit to the front of the stage to deliver his enthusiastic, melodic vocal part.

    Drummerszone - Chester Thompson

Many Music Man readers will surely agree that Phil Collins is one of the greatest pop and rock artists of the last fifty years, writing an enormous number of global hits that have gone on to become instantly recognizable to people of all ages. As shown by just the first two segments of his First Final Farewell Tour in 2004, however, Phil is also a highly versatile musician, as capable of delivering complex drum solos as he is upbeat and catchy vocals.

Glastonbury: Paul McCartney ‘duets’ with John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen makes surprise appearance

The iconic Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury lit up like never before as Paul McCartney delivered a breathtaking performance, featuring a remarkable virtual duet with John Lennon.

The crowd erupted into cheers, many visibly moved to tears, as the connection between the two Beatles felt almost tangible. Just when the audience thought they had witnessed the pinnacle of the night, Bruce Springsteen stormed the stage for a surprise appearance, joining McCartney in an electrifying rendition of “Glory Days.” The energy was infectious, with thousands singing and dancing under the starlit sky. It was a night of pure musical magic, seamlessly blending nostalgia, innovation, and the camaraderie of rock legends, leaving the audience in awe and yearning for more.

Paul McCartney performed a duet with John Lennon at Glastonbury

Paul McCartney performed an emotional virtual duet with John Lennon during last night’s Glastonbury headline set (June 25).

Sir Paul McCartney, 80, wowed fans with an epic setlist that featured over 30 songs and finished at around half past midnight.

The legendary musician performed a variety of songs from throughout his career, that included many Beatles classics, Wings hits, solo favourites and more recent numbers

He also introduced surprise guests Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen to the Pyramid Stage, much to the joy of the thousands in attendance.

    Paul McCartney with Bruce Springsteen

The most emotional part of the evening saw Paul perform a virtual duet with his late Beatles bandmate John Lennon for ‘I’ve Got a Feeling’.

Speaking to the crowd, Sir Paul revealed that the idea came from Peter Jackson, the director of the recent documentary series Get Back.
Watch footage of the performance below:

Lennon and McCartney shared verses of the song, with Peter Jackson having isolated Lennon’s vocals.

“I’ve got a special little thing here,” he said introducing that track. “One day, Peter Jackson rings me up and says he can take John’s vocals and isolate them so that you can play live with John on tour. He said do you fancy that?”

“That’s so special for me man,” McCartney said afterwards. “I know it’s virtual but come on – it’s John. We’re back together.”

Earlier in the show, Sir Paul also paid tribute to his late Beatles bandmate George Harrison, and performed ‘Something’.

Sunday’s Glastonbury lineup will see an appearance from Diana Ross on the Legends Slot.

‘Nowhere Man’: John Lennon’s Beatles epic that Paul McCartney got completely wrong

When John Lennon wrote songs, he always wanted one pivotal factor at the heart of them: the truth. He tried to write as much honest music as possible in The Beatles; however, this came with pushback from other band members. When he became a solo artist, he made a conscious effort to make music that was a true reflection of himself.

With such an affinity for the truth within music, it’s hardly a surprise that he became such a big fan of Bob Dylan. Steve Van Zandt once attributed Bob Dylan with being the person who ended the British invasion, as people on board with The Beatles hype became equally enamoured with the folk-rock movement.

“The floodgates opened until the summer of ’65,” he said when talking about what it was like to experience the British Invasion first-hand, “When the Americans took the charts back with the folk-rock of The Byrds and Bob Dylan.”

Paul McCartney - John Lennon - The Beatles - 1960s

People were drawn to Dylan’s music, though, not just because of his music but also because of the honesty with which he wrote. There were no secrets in Bob Dylan, as he explored his emotions, his place in the world, and his view of the world within the words of his songs. John Lennon was such a fan initially that members of The Beatles and fans of his have previously said their album Rubber Soul was essentially Lennon trying to make music like Bob Dylan.

Narrative has always been at the heart of folk music, so Lennon was likely searching for parts of himself that he was willing to reveal to the public at the time. In doing so, he found it difficult to write more profound music, to the point that he ended up writing a song about the fact he couldn’t write a song.

‘Nowhere Man’ was released on the album and was, by John Lennon’s admission, a song about how he didn’t feel like this album was going anywhere. “I thought of myself sitting there, doing nothing and getting nowhere,” he said.

In a separate interview, he provided more information on the writing process. “I remember I was just going through this paranoia trying to write something and nothing would come out,” he said, “So I just lay down and tried to not write and then this came out, the whole thing came out in one gulp.”

What’s most interesting about the song is that Paul McCartney completely misinterpreted what Lennon was attempting to write about. When discussing the song separately, he said he believed that Lennon was actually writing about the state of his marriage instead of his creative output.

“It was really an anti-John song. He told me later, he didn’t tell me then, he said he’d written it about himself, feeling like he wasn’t going anywhere. I think it was actually about the state of his marriage,” said McCartney, “It was in a period where he was a bit dissatisfied with what was going on; however, it led to a very good song. He treated it as a third-person song, but he was clever enough to say, ‘Isn’t he a bit like you and me?’ – ‘Me’ being the final word.”

Boy George and Culture Club are Rod Stewart’s main support for the star’s six summer shows in England and Scotland between June 28 and July 8.

Rod Stewart announced Boy George would be joining him on tour back in late March, and joked that he wanted to ‘misbehave’ when they were on the road together.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be sharing the stage with my dear old friend, Boy George. Let’s misbehave!” Rod Stewart said in a statement.

Boy George was equally gushing about Rod when the news was announced, saying: “I’m a massive Rod Stewart fan. I have been since I was a teenager. I love his voice and he’s always been very charming to me.”

“In 1974 when I was 13 years old I bunked in for free to see Rod Stewart and The Faces at Lewisham Odeon, so I love that I am now able to support him on tour” he continued.

Fans attending the shows have been promised “show-stopping classics and fan-favourites” spanning Rod’s six-decade career, as well as the reggae-pop stylings of Boy George and company too.

Set to rock the Scottish capital on July 6 & 7, the homegrown star expressed how excited to be back on British soil.

Caitlin Clark’s Short but Sweet Response to Boyfriend’s Heartfelt Message

Caitlin Clark celebrated her 23rd birthday on Wednesday and, sure enough, the Indiana Fever guard got an outpouring of sweet messages from family, friends and fans alike.

I Love You”: Boyfriend Connor McCaffery Pens Caitlin Clark a Romantic Birthday Note as She Responds With 3-Word Message - EssentiallySports

“Awh, love you,” Clark said along with a pleading face, red heart, black heart and fire emojis.
