Did George Strait Say Garth Brooks Is ‘Not One of Us’?

“He should apply for President of Bud Light,” Strait allegedly said about Brooks.

Country singer George Strait said Garth Brooks is “not one of us,” and that, “His act was boring and outdated years ago, so he called people names to stay relevent. Does anyone else laugh when he does the line-dancing thing on stage all by himself?”

In October 2023, The Dunning-Kruger Times, a site that is part of the America’s Last Line of Defense (ALLOD) network of websites and social media accounts, published an article titled, “George Strait Breaks His Silence on Garth Brooks: ‘He’s Not One of Us’.”  The article claimed that country singer Strait, who has rarely made his political views known, was critical of Brooks’ supposedly “liberal stance on everything.”

    The article claimed:

That subject was Garth Brooks. Brooks, who has been in the news since calling his own fans a-holes, was off of George Strait’s radar until early this morning when Strait broke his silence and confirmed what everyone already knew.

“He’s not one of us,” said Strait, “His act was boring and outdated years ago, so he called people names to stay relevent. Does anyone else laugh when he does the line-dancing thing on stage all by himself?”

Strait says the country world can very well do without Garth Brooks and his liberal stance on everything. “He should apply for President of Bud Light.”

The end of the article, however, claimed that Strait’s comment was “probably not true.”

We sent our own ALLOD Correspondent Jack Bowman to chat with Strait in person since the whole thing seemed a bit suspect. Jack was pleased to report that while the story is probably not true, lots of people hope and pray that it is.

The above article originates from a website that is satirical in nature. The website’s About Us section states:

Everything on this website is fiction. It is not a lie and it is not fake news because it is not real. If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined. Any similarities between this site’s pure fantasy and actual people, places, and events are purely coincidental and all images should be considered altered and satirical. See above if you’re still having an issue with that satire thing.

The website’s creators describe its readers as, “‘Taters’ [who] are the conservative fans of America’s Last Line of Defense. They are fragile, frightened, mostly older caucasian Americans. They believe nearly anything. While we go out of our way to educate them that not everything they agree with is true, they are still old, typically ignorant, and again — very afraid of everything.”

The article was posted on Facebook on Oct. 29, 2023, and many comments assumed that it was true, with posts like, “Right you are George Strait!”

Brooks faced criticism from conservatives in the summer of 2023 over his decision to continue selling Bud Light at his new bar. Conservatives had been boycotting the beer because of a Bud Light marketing campaign that featured transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

We’ve fact-checked numerous satirical claims about Brooks from Dunning-Kruger Times, including one about him supposedly being booed offstage at the “123rd Annual Texas County Jamboree,” one falsely claiming Carrie Underwood canceled her shows with Brooks, and one falsely claiming Brooks canceled his new bar’s grand opening.

Major Plot Twist on Lengthy Jimmy Butler Trade Saga Anticipated After Brutal Luka Doncic to Lakers Situatuion; Milwaukee Bucks Might Have 0 Chance to Land Heat Star

Where is Jimmy Butler going? He has been asking for trade for a long time any many teams have been reportedly involved including the Milwaukee Bucks.

The question now is, who’s going where?

The decision by the Dallas Mavericks to trade away superstar and franchise player Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis may have created a ripple effect. Meaning, nobody is safe.

Butler, who has been asking for a trade from the Miami Heat since September, might find himself get swapped for the player he reportedly wants to work with.

There is a major plot twist. The two might not work together at the Suns. Instead, KD will find himself swap places and move back to the Eastern Conference through the Heat.

How Milwaukee Bucks lose the chance on Butler?

Chatters within the league suggests the Suns are listening to calls for Durant even if team owner Matt Ishbia repeatedly express confidence in KD being happy with the team.

“We love Kevin Durant. We talk to him and his agent, Rich Kleiman, all the time. We don’t really go through contract extensions publicly, but I’ll tell you this. Kevin loves it. We love Kevin. We plan on Kevin being here. Nothing is changing with that,” he said.

    Milwaukee Bucks, Kevin Durant

This is back in October when everything still look good for the Suns.

Right now, it seems the Miami Heat needs KD more than the Suns need Butler. However, if their front office can create deals that can make them better contenders today as well as become future-proof, then a KD-Butler swap is not far-fetched.

As for the Bucks, there is a huge doubt they are going to trade away their no. 1 guy in Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Meet Kendrick Lamar’s Longtime Partner & Mother of His 2 Kids – Life of the Star Set to Perform at Super Bowl 2025

The rapper and the mother of his children have been together since high school. Although he values privacy in their relationship, the music star has acknowledged that fatherhood has significantly shaped his life.

Kendrick Lamar, celebrated for his artistry in hip-hop, is also a devoted family man. As he prepares to perform at the Super Bowl in 2025, he continues to maintain a long-term relationship with Whitney Alford. They are devoted parents to a son and daughter.

In addition to his dedication to family, Lamar’s illustrious career boasts numerous groundbreaking achievements and widespread critical acclaim.

His 2012 album, “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City,” catapulted him into the spotlight, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and topping Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

In 2013, the album garnered several Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year. Lamar won his first Grammy Award in 2014 for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “I.”

That year, he captivated Grammy viewers with Imagine Dragons, performing a fusion of “m.A.A.d City” and “Radioactive.”

The star’s remarkable career has gone on to include 22 Grammy wins at the time of writing, cementing his status as a defining voice in music. At the 2025 ceremony, the iconic artist took home multiple awards, including Record of the Year for “Not Like Us.”

As the music industry evolves, 2024 highlighted a shift toward authenticity, with artists favoring unfiltered creativity over promotional gimmicks. This trend is expected to expand in 2025, with a deeper focus on music that resonates without reliance on viral marketing.

In hip-hop, surprise album releases gained momentum, driven in part by high-profile tensions between Lamar and Drake, signaling a new era of artistic control and innovation.

This renewed emphasis on creativity has paved the way for one of Lamar’s most eagerly awaited performances. In September 2024, he revealed on Instagram that he would perform at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show in New Orleans in February 2025.

In a playful video, he teased fans, “Will you be pulling up? I hope so. I won’t want you to miss it. […] Wear your best dress too, even if you watch it from home.”

Anticipation for the award-winning musician’s upcoming Super Bowl performance highlights his enduring impact on both music and culture. While his public persona continues to draw widespread attention, Lamar’s creative work often provides a glimpse into his personal experiences.

During an interview once, he reflected on his song “LOVE” from the album “DAMN.,” describing it as “one of my first real personal love songs; it’s personal for me, but it’s a universal feeling when people listen to it.”

However, when discussing his relationship with his partner, Whitney Alford, Lamar emphasized his desire for privacy, “I want something that’s just for me.”

This dedication to privacy also influences how Lamar navigates the spotlight. “I’ve been called a recluse,” he admitted in another interview. “There’s definitely truth in that. I like to spend time alone.”

True to his reserved nature, Lamar seldom visits clubs, refrains from heavy drinking or smoking, and maintains a long-standing bond with Alford that dates back to high school.

Meanwhile, his relationship with Alford is built on a deep foundation of trust and understanding, evident in the way they support one another both privately and publicly.

The couple attended the 58th Grammy Awards at Staples Center on February 15, 2016, in Los Angeles, California, and have even traveled together to places like South Africa. Comfortable with their dynamic, Alford once playfully called Lamar “cheap” in front of a New York Times reporter.

Speaking about their bond, Lamar shared, “I wouldn’t even call her my girl. That’s my best friend. I don’t even like the term that society has put in the world as far as being a companion — she’s somebody I can tell my fears to.”

Lamar’s reflections on his bond with Alford naturally connect to his role as a father. Parenting their two children has reshaped his perspective, teaching him the meaning of unconditional love.

Observing their growth helped him set aside his ego and embrace their independence. “That’s love, to me,” he explained in one interview, adding that this understanding influences how he approaches his art and treats others — with acceptance and without judgment.

This understanding of support and acceptance is echoed in Alford’s work, which focuses on empowering women and building community. As the founder of Love + Ethos, Alford, who has short hair, has created a platform dedicated to providing resources and support for women, particularly new mothers.

Drawing from her upbringing among strong women and her own life experiences, she has championed initiatives like donating prom dresses and teaching beauty techniques to women and girls.

Through Love + Ethos, Alford emphasizes the importance of community, vulnerability, and shared support in helping women navigate the challenges of life and motherhood.

Alford’s journey embodies gratitude, personal growth, and a dedication to motherhood. In an August 2024 post, the 38-year-old shared her appreciation for life’s blessings, even amid challenges, “Loving Me. Loving my family. Working daily to assist in lifting the collective frequency.”

Inspired by her children, the mother of two described Love + Ethos as her “new baby” and shared her enthusiasm for healing and embracing life’s next chapter.

Alford’s dedication to family is evident not only in her words but also in the moments she shares with her followers. With over 100,000 Instagram followers, she often posts glimpses of her life with Lamar and their children.

In May 2022, she shared a touching photo of Lamar holding their daughter while she cradled their son, and wrote, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Shot by @renellaice.”

In other posts, Alford has posed with her children, captivating her followers with the trio’s bond. One admirer commented, “You look beautiful and the kids are adorable!! Kids look so big!!!” while another noted, “The girl is exactly like Kendrick (in the face).”

Others praised her hairstyle, with one writing, “I want this cut,” and another adding, “Love your cut!! 3 brightest lights.” Other social media users have also praised Alford’s beauty. “Kendrick a lucky man,” one person shared.

Another person commented, “She’s a real beauty” while a third added, “She reminds me of Cher, Sade and Queen Naija all at the same time.”

Alford’s openness on social media highlights her balance of family, personal growth, and community impact. Together with Kendrick Lamar, she continues to inspire with her authenticity and dedication to uplifting those around her.

The lively performance, with its perfect blend of classic country vibes and modern energy, showcased Shaboozey’s unique style, leaving the crowd buzzing and adding a fun, lively moment to the night’s celebrations.

The Recording Academy announced Shaboozey as a performer at the GRAMMY Awards at the last minute, making him just one of seven performers who are up for Best New Artist. He’s certainly proved that he belongs on the GRAMMYs stage with an electric performance of his hit song.

Dressed in a maroon Western-inspired suit and surrounded by line dancers, Shaboozey had the crowd on their feet singing along to “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” The three-piece band killed it as well, which included an acoustic guitar, lap steel, and fiddle. Shaboozey ended his performance with a heartfelt shout out to L.A.

Last year, Shaboozey’s top hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” was at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks. This impressive showing tied with Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” for the longest No. 1 entry in the chart’s history. Now, Shaboozey could win his first GRAMMY as well. He’s up against Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Doechii, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, and Khruangbin. However, Khruangbin have not been announced as performers.

Shaboozey and Other Best New Artist Nominees Perform at the GRAMMYs

Shaboozey ignited the crowd with his GRAMMYs performance, and prepared himself to possibly win his first award. As for the other awards, there are plenty of records poised to be broken. Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, among many others. Here are some of the biggest records that could be broken at the GRAMMYs tonight.

This year, the streak of female solo artists winning Best New Artist could continue. There was a seven-year streak from 1997 to 2003, and there could be yet another one from 2018 to 2025. That is, if Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, RAYE, or Chappell Roan win the award. The streak will be broken if Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Shaboozey, or Khruangbin win.

Review: Shaboozey is Honoring Country Tradition and Moving it Forward

Taylor Swift could be the first female solo artist to win Album of the Year multiple years in a row, and the third artist to do it overall, following Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra. She won last year for Midnights, winning before that for Fearless1989, and folklore. If she wins this year, she’ll be the first artist to win five times, continuing her reign from last year as the first to win four times.

Beyoncé is currently the most nominated artist in the Record of the Year category without a win. She also holds the record for the most Album of the Year nominations without a win. She’s been nominated for Record of the Year eight times, and Album of the Year five times and hasn’t won either. Could Cowboy Carter change that?

  • Fans are on the edge of their seats, wondering if Adam Levine’s return to The Voice could be the key to bringing Blake Shelton back. The buzz is growing, with whispers of Blake’s possible return fueling hopes across social media.

Fans are on the edge of their seats, wondering if Adam Levine’s return to The Voice could be the key to bringing Blake Shelton back. The buzz is growing, with whispers of Blake’s possible return fueling hopes across social media.

Fans have been bemoaning the exit of Blake Shelton from NBC’s The Voice since he departed at the end of Season 23 back in 2023. Shelton was the longest-running original coach on the singing competition show, and he was a fan favorite as well. Now, it looks like fans are holding out hope that Shelton will return to the show, considering former coach Adam Levine is returning for the series’ 27th season.

Adam Levine Jokes Best Part of His Return to “The” “Voice ”Is 'Not Having to Be Around' Frenemy Blake Shelton (Exclusive)

Is Adam Levine Returning to ‘The Voice’?

Yes. The 27th season of The Voice is returning tonight on NBC, and Adam Levine will be returning to his role of coach on the singing competition series. He will serve as a coach on the show along with fellow artists Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, and Michael Bublé.

Adam Levine clearly knows fans want Shelton back in the mix, and he’s been stirring the pot ahead of tonight’s Season 27 debut. Levine took to Instagram a few weeks ago to post a throwback photo of himself and his former fellow Voice coach from 2011. For reference, 2011 was the year The Voice debuted.

“The Voice season 1 after party, at my house with d*psh*t @blakeshelton ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Levine cheekily noted in the post’s caption.

Despite the pair’s great on-show rivalry, friendship, and chemistry, fans shouldn’t expect Levine and Shelton to share The Voice coaching seats anytime soon.

Is Black Shelton Returning to ‘The Voice’?

Sadly for fans, there has been no confirmation that Blake Shelton will be returning to The Voice anytime soon. In fact, the country star has said that he will only return to The Voice under specific conditions. Despite being a coach on the program for over a decade, Shelton does not have any plans to return to the show and is instead focusing on his music career.

Why Adam Levine's Return To The Voice Could Actually Be Great News For Blake Shelton Stans | Cinemablend

Shelton said last year that he was “no longer into it” and believed that the contestants on The Voice deserved to be coached by someone who was giving 100%.

However, he did say that he would be open to returning to the program for “a one-off” only if all four of the original Voice coaches would appear as well. For reference, the OG lineup of coaches on The Voice included Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Cee Lo Green.

Basketball star Angel Reese has praised WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu as standout three-point shooters in the league.

In October, Ionescu secured her first championship title at 27 with the New York Liberty, defeating the Minnesota Lynx. Meanwhile, Reese, alongside her peer Clark, made an instant impact on professional basketball following impressive college stints.

The two had previously clashed in the 2024 NCAA championship, where Reese’s LSU triumphed over Clark’s Iowa, where she set records for scoring and assists.

During a conversation with comedian Funny Marco on Reese’s podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel’, she expressed admiration for both Clark and Ionescu, alongside Marco’s recommended picks of Breanna Stewart and Ionescu.

Marco inquired about Reese’s picks for top shooters, to which she initially replied: “Between Caitlin, Diana Taurasi..” She then agreed with the other suggestions of Breanna Stewart and Ionescu.

Clark led the way at the top of the leaderboard with a 34.4 percent efficiency with three pointers. That edged out Taurasi (33.3 percent) with Ionescu hot on their heels at 33.2 percent.

Stewart, a triple-champion, experienced her worst three-point shooting season, netting only 29.5 percent.

Clark previously praised Reese’s skills earlier this year, stating: “The thing that really stands out is the offensive rebounding. She did the exact same thing to us when we were in college too.

“She’s just such a great offensive rebounder. She’s always just had a knack for that. It’s not always something you can teach. I think she just has a really good eye for the ball off the rim and can go get it.”

Chicago Sky struggled this season with a disappointing 13-27 record, despite Reese’s efforts, while Clark led the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016.

LeBron James’ son, Bronny, has struggled in his rookie NBA season and Stephen A. Smith has been critical of the 20-year-old.

TV personality Stephen A. Smith has sparked a debate with his recent comments on LeBron James’ son, Bronny, and the perceived “sensitivity” from the basketball star’s inner circle. After being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft, Bronny has faced scrutiny over whether his place in the league is due to his father’s fame.

On “First Take,” Smith pointed out that while Bronny has had a challenging start, averaging just 4 minutes, 0.6 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 0.4 assists over 14 games, he has shown potential in the G League.

Smith suggested that Bronny should spend the remainder of the 2024/25 season there. However, following Smith’s critique, Klutch Sports allegedly reached out to him regarding his comments about LeBron as a parent, which led to Smith addressing the issue on his podcast.

He expressed frustration with the reactions from LeBron’s camp, stating, “You know, I was on first take my day job on ESPN earlier this morning,” and continued, “I spoke about this, and I felt the need to elaborate even further because a couple of people texted me and pissed me off, and they know who they are.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith stands firm on Bronny James comments amid criticism from LeBron - YouTube

“People close to LeBron James talking to me about questioning him as a father. Come on y’all. I mean, it’s got to a point where this LeBron sensitivity is just beyond the pale.”

Smith weighed in on the expectations surrounding LeBron James’ son, Bronny, emphasizing the challenges of living up to his father’s legacy: “I’m not being cruel to Bronny. I’m looking out,” Smith asserted.

“Do you want it this way? LeBron? Do you want it this way, Rich Paul? Do you want it this way? He can’t go into the G League and average 20, 25 and stay there until he’s ready. Because he’s LeBron’s son, you know how they’re going to judge him.

“And before anybody wants to jump on me, remember, I never saw Bronny James play until he showed up in the NBA and the G League. I refuse to watch him because if I watch him, I would have to talk about him. And I didn’t want to talk about LeBron James’ son because I thought it was so unfair to the kid. He’s such a wonderful kid. Wonderful family.”

“I’m not here to tell you that he won’t be ready. I’m not here to tell you that he won’t be an NBA player,” Smith later admitted. “I’m not here to tell you that he should give up his dreams and his aspirations. I think the kids got potential. I think the kid will be in the NBA one day. I watched him in the G League doing his thing. I think he’s going to be fine eventually. But that’s not the case yet. And because it’s not the case yet.”

Reflecting on Bronny’s development as compared to his acclaimed father, Smith noted, “And then you see some of these numbers. I do find myself looking at LeBron James instead of Bronny James because LeBron is the basketball savant. LeBron is one of the top two greatest players in the history of the game. LeBron has forgotten more basketball than most people would know. So no matter what we think about Bronny, he knows more.”

It was announced Saturday that the Mavericks had traded Doncic for Lakers star Anthony Davis, in a three-team deal involving the Utah Jazz. The Lakers received Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris from the Mavericks, who in return acquired Davis, Max Christie and the Lakers’ 2029 first-round pick.

The Jazz received Jalen Hood-Schifino, the LA Clippers’ 2025 second-round pick and the Mavericks’ 2025 second-round selection. Doncic was reportedly blindsided by the move, and his fiancée posted a quote reading “May your coffee be stronger than your toddler,” on her Instagram.

The phrase is usually associated with parents who are struggling with young children, and need to stay on top of things while tired due to their child misbehaving. Doncic and Goltes do share a young daughter, Gabriela, but fans are wondering if the NBA star had reacted badly to the trade.

When breaking his silence on the move, Doncic admitted that he planned to stay with the Mavericks for his entire career. His father, Sasa, was outraged and said that he’d been personally hurt by how the trade had been handled, with Doncic being disrespected.

“I understand there comes a moment when you disagree with a certain philosophy,” Sasa Doncic said, via Arena Sport. “You don’t like this or that player, all good — I get it.

“But I think that exactly this secrecy, or should I say from some individuals, maybe even hypocrisy, this hurts me personally. Because I think that Luka absolutely doesn’t deserve this.”

Doncic is yet to publicly announce his true feelings towards the trade, although it does appear as though he’s excited to be a Laker. However, Doncic had spent his whole NBA career in Dallas, and had the rug pulled before he was given a chance to have a say.

“Seven years ago, I came here as a teenager to pursue my dream of playing basketball at the highest level,” Doncic posted in a statement. “I thought I’d spend my career here and I wanted so badly to bring you a championship. The love and support you all have given me is more than I could have ever dreamed of.

“For a young kid from Slovenia coming to the U.S. for the first time, you made North Texas feel like home. In good times and bad, from injuries to the NBA Finals, your support never changed. Thank you not only for sharing my joy in our best moments, but also for lifting me up when I needed it most.

“To all the organizations I’ve worked with throughout the Dallas community, thank you for letting me contribute to your important work and join you in bringing light to those who need it. As I start the next part of my basketball journey, I am leaving a city that will always feel like a home away from home Dallas is a special place, and Mavs fans are special fans. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

Why Adam Levine Left The Voice and Why He Came Back Now | NBC Insider

Ahead of his appearance on the show, Adam Levine revealed in a People interview why he chose to return, energized after a significant break.

The Maroon 5 frontman shared: “I honestly feel like the stars aligned. It was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right… and it hadn’t felt right until now.”

He added: “I don’t really see it as a competition anymore, and I know they’re not going to like that, but that’s not what it is. It’s an opportunity for us to share our experiences with the people on the show. And it always has been that.

“I mean, you definitely get competitive that those juices flow for sure. But I don’t see it as a competition and I don’t think that I can bring anything other than what I have just from life and a career.

“And I think that’s really valuable for the people on the show that are needing that experience, or that push that help. And that’s what I think we’re there for.”
