“Shocking Twist: Chiefs’ Surprising 2025 Plan for Travis Kelce Revealed—Fans Won’t Believe It!”

REPORT: Details Emerge On Kansas City Chiefs’ Unusual Plans For Travis Kelce If He Returns In 2025

If Travis Kelce decides to continue his legendary playing career in 2025, the Kansas City Chiefs already know what kind of role they want him to have on the offense.

Travis Kelce is still mulling over his future in football, with retirement a legitimate possibility following the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. The 35-year-old is coming off a down season in which he caught 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns.

Speaking on The Fan 96.5, The Athletic’s Nate Taylor reported that the Chiefs would reduce Travis Kelce’s role on offense if he were to return in 2025. Head coach Andy Reid would want him to be less of a centerpiece and more of a supportive role player.

Kelce signed a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs last offseason, suggesting that he would at least play through his age-46 season. But that’s no longer a guarantee, and Chiefs fans just have to wait and see what decision he makes.

If this is it for Kelce, he’d retire as a 10-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion with 1,004 receptions for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns. He’ll also reach the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

Chiefs Would Need To Move Quickly To Travis Kelce

If the Chiefs end up losing Kelce to retirement, GM Brett Veach would have to act quickly to find a replacement. Aside from Rashee Rice, Kansas City doesn’t have any other proven game-changing weapons to complement Patrick Mahomes on offense.

The most humble Super Bowl MVP: he earns 250 million a year, but lives in a 2,000 euro rental house.

In the early hours of last Sunday morning, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts won his first Super Bowl.

After being defeated two years ago by Mahomes’ Chiefs, he took his personal revenge in New Orleans. The Eagles steamrolled the Missouri team with a 40-22 final score.

Jalen Hurts had an outstanding game: 17 of 22 passes completed, 221 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Despite the good numbers, for the American the most important thing was the final victory. “I don’t measure my success in numbers, in statistics, in scores, in yards, but in rings, in championships. I’ve never focused on what someone can do, but on what we do as a team. It’s a journey, we come as a team and enjoy the moment,” he said at the post-game press conference.

His performance against the Chiefs and the Eagles’ final victory led to Hurts being named Super Bowl MVP, an achievement that places him in the annals of history.

    A humble MVP

But far from being an ostentatious or haughty MVP, Jalen Hurts remains the same as when he started. This is demonstrated by his actions. The player landed in Philadelphia in 2020. Far from moving into a mansion or a villa, as is usual among American stars, he settled into a small apartment for €2,000 a month, close to the training center.

“I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I was drafted because I lived by myself. I didn’t need a big place just for me. I rented a small apartment. Something comfortable that will last me for the moment,” he explained at the time. However, after five seasons in the league, and after pocketing a large amount of money, he continues to live in the same house.

The current Super Bowl MVP signed a $255 million contract two years ago for the next five years, becoming at that time the highest-paid player in NFL history. However, he has preferred to spend the money on others. In total, he has acquired four homes, all of them in his home state of Texas. The first one cost him $215,000 and he put it in his father’s name. The second was in his mother’s name. The other two are owned by him and cost around $8 million.

INSIDE LOOK: Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Lavish $2M Super Bowl Weekend Mansion—You Won’t Believe the Luxury!

PICTURED: Extravagant $2 Million New Orleans Mansion Where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Stayed During Super Bowl Weekend

New images have revealed the opulent $2 million mansion where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stayed during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans.

The historic estate boasts 6,500 square feet of living space and sits on a leafy street in the city’s Garden District, which is home to some of NOLA’s most lavish properties—including a $5.5 million abode that was recently put on the market by Hollywood legend John Goodman.

According to property records, the home is owned by interior designer Tara Shaw, who is understood to use it as her private residence.

Swift, 35, jetted in to the Louisiana city to cheer on her 34-year-old beau in what many have predicted will be his “final” Super Bowl performance, only for their weekend to end in misery when the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in a 40-22 upset on Feb. 9.

She was front and center for the game, during which she was booed by fans. Swift also had the opportunity to enjoy at least one night on the town with Kelce, when the duo went out for a double date with his teammate, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany, on the Friday before the Super Bowl.

A source told Realtor.com® that Swift and Kelce were also seen exiting and entering the pop star’s rental home together and that they “hosted [his] friend there over the course of the weekend.”

However, the pair were not able to spend much other time together during the lead-up to and in the wake of the championship game, with the NFL pro remaining in a local Marriott hotel with his teammates, leaving his girlfriend to find her own accommodations.

Although it is unknown where Swift stayed during the entirety of her time in New Orleans, the lavish residence that was rented by the A-listers ahead of the event was last sold in 1992 for an undisclosed sum, according to property records.

It was last on the rental market in 2018 for $40,000 a month; however, the exact price the lover paid for the dwelling is not known.

What is certain is that the dwelling provided an extremely luxurious Super Bowl sanctuary for the songstress.

Inside, the three-story home includes five stunning bedrooms and six spa-worthy bathrooms.

The property offers a fully furnished escape to all who visit and comes complete with plenty of spacious living areas where occupants can host their guests.

Outside the property, there is a heated, Parisian-style saltwater pool; a courtyard; cabana; an infrared sauna; a generator; guest quarters; and a wine cellar.

The gated home also boasts parking space for at least five vehicles, according to an online description, making it the perfect pad for those with large families—or large sports teams.

However, aside from their outing with Mahomes and his spouse, Swift and Kelce are not thought to have spent a huge amount of time with the entire Chiefs squad during their weekend, with the singer opting to jet out of New Orleans without her partner on Monday, just hours after the Super Bowl came to an end.

Meanwhile, Kelce is understood to have opted out of his team’s post-Super Bowl party, with Page Six reporting that “most of the players” chose to skip the soiree in favor of returning to their hotel rooms, where they enjoyed low-key evenings in the wake of their devastating loss.

Photos obtained by Realtor.com® reveal that the gated property features charming steps that lead to the front door.

“Most of the players skipped the afterparty, including Travis and Patrick,” a source told the outlet. “Everyone just went back to their rooms or AirBNBs and just stayed in.”

The outlet added that, in the wake of the game, Kelce was seen making his way to his girlfriend’s private suite at the Caesars Superdome stadium; however, social media footage revealed that he later returned to his hotel, seemingly without Swift.

The songstress—who previously set a record by selling out the Superdome during her Eras Tour—suffered a harsh slew of boos from the crowd when the cameras showed her supporting her boyfriend.

Die-hard Eagles fans roared at the superstar when the Jumbotron caught a glimpse of her, prompting Swift to turn to pal and fellow singer Ice Spice and question, “What’s going on?” as she forced a smile for the cameras.

Her critics followed her well after the game was over, with even President Donald Trump taking to Truth Social to troll her.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote alongside a video of the moment.

Following the game, a visibly disheartened Kelce was spotted heading into the locker room, telling reporters that the team “couldn’t get it going offensively.”

“I mean, they just got after us on all three phases and then on top of that, you know, turnovers, penalties, playing behind the sticks on offense,” he said in an X video.

“We haven’t played that bad all year,” Kelce continued. “You don’t lose like that without everything going bad.”

Outside the property, there is a heated, Parisian-style saltwater pool; a courtyard; a cabana; an infrared sauna; a generator; guest quarters; and a wine cellar.

The property was also clearly the perfect place for the Kansas City Chiefs to get their energy up ahead of the game as it boasts gated parking for five or more vehicles.

He then headed to see Swift and his family at their VIP suite before reflecting on the big game on a Feb. 12 episode of his “New Heights” podcast alongside his brother, Jason Kelce.

“Just wasn’t our day. Couldn’t find a lick of momentum. I’m kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field,” he said.

Kelce then acknowledged his loved ones who helped comfort him after the loss, however, didn’t include Swift by name.

“I have loved ones, I have the most amazing family in the world that supports me in everything I do; and they were all there, cheering me on and hoping for the best on Sunday,” he added.

Now that the couple has moved on from football season, they may be looking to vacation at Swift’s Rhode Island mansion, which she recently revealed she would be renovating.

More than 10 years after snapping up the property for a jaw-dropping $17.75 million, the 34-year-old “All Too Well” hitmaker is going to expand it with an additional bedroom, while transforming one of the existing rooms into an “enlarged bedroom suite.”

Records obtained by Us Weekly also indicate she is going to remodel the kitchen.

In total, the project will add 400 square feet to the property.

The residence—which is in the exclusive enclave of Watch Hill in Westerly and is known locally as “Holiday House”—currently sprawls across 11,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Located inside a gated community, the grand estate sits on nearly 3.5 acres at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac.

It is unclear when construction will begin. However, the renovation plans were drawn up on Nov. 25 and Dec. 4, 2024—before Taylor’s final “Eras Tour” show on Dec. 8—with an expiration date of Dec. 4, 2025.

The renovation will be completed by a team of Rhode Island–based contractors, led by David W. Shafovaloff, who is located in Hope Valley and describes himself on LinkedIn as a “self-employed construction project manager.” He specializes in “high-end residential and commercial construction.”

In addition to its many bedrooms and bathrooms, Swift’s opulent home currently features a 36-foot-long parlor and an octagonal dining room.

Meanwhile, Kelce owns a 17,000-square-foot mansion in the desirable suburb of Leawood, KS.

Located inside a gated community, the grand estate sits on nearly 3.5 acres at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Kelce’s latest land grab is far more secluded than his other home in Kansas City, a 4,200-square-foot home in the city’s Briarcliff West neighborhood that he purchased for $995,000 in 2019.

It’s believed that Swift and Kelce spent the holidays at the Kansas City mansion—just weeks after it was burglarized.

At the time, The Sun, reported that Swift would enjoy some well-deserved R&R at Kelce’s sprawling home, with a source telling the outlet that the “Bad Blood” singer will be spending several weeks there.

“She will be going to Kansas City and staying there for some time during the next few weeks to be with Travis and show him love and support,” the insider said, adding that Swift hopes to attend several of Kelce’s games during that time, in the hopes of “witnessing another potential championship season for the Chiefs.”

Swift’s plans to hunker down at the 17,000-square-foot Leawood, KS, mansion may well have raised eyebrows among her nearest and dearest given that the property was recently infiltrated by burglars who are said to have broken into the home on Oct. 7 and stolen thousands of dollars worth of items.

Multiple reports state that the thieves made off with $10,000 worth of jewelry, $20,000 in cash, and even Kelce’s first-ever Super Bowl jersey.

NFL Makes Final Decision on Whether Travis Kelce Faces Super Bowl Punishment

    usatsi_25380047

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce earned a fine after the AFC championship game for getting up in the face of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin following a Chiefs touchdown.

Though Kelce had a similar moment in his team’s Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, this time he managed to avoid the NFL’s wrath.

A viral clip from the Super Bowl showed Kelce in a heated moment with Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis. After the Chiefs tight end took a hard hit, he got into Davis’ face and pushed the Eagles defender.

Kelce was not flagged for taunting or unnecessary roughness for the play, and the NFL ultimately determined he would not face a fine, either. The league on Feb. 15 announced two fines from the Super Bowl — a $14,069 fine for Eagles defensive tackle Milton Williams for spiking the football over the crossbar after forcing a fumble, and a $5,690 fine to Eagles linebacker Jalyx Hunt for what the league called a “violent gesture.”

Kelce did not earn a fine for his heated moments with Davis, though some fans believed he could have deserved one.

“Travis Kelce is the only player allowed to repeatedly taunt others….never gets a flag,” one fan wrote on X in response to the clip of Kelce’s run-in with Davis.

Others suggested that Kelce was trying to get under the skin of the Eagles defenders, a gambit that didn’t seem to work as the Eagles defense hounded the Chiefs en route to a 40-22 win.

“I think they were shown footage and coached HARD not to fall for his chatter,” a fan wrote on X. “He likes to talk and goat the other team into a reaction and get them flagged. Eagles were disciplined.”

Following the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, few could blame tight end Travis Kelce for keeping a low profile.

On top of dealing with the heightened emotions of losing a championship and the opportunity to be a part of NFL history on the first team to win three straight Super Bowl titles, the 35-year-old pass-catcher also has to decide whether or not he wants to return in 2025 for this 13th season.

The Chiefs gave Kelce a deadline of March 14 to decide if he plans to play next season or not. That’s the day his $11.5 million roster bonus kicks in.

If Kelce does retire, the Chiefs won’t be on the hook for any of the money Kelce is owed next season ($19.8 million cap hit). If he does want to return, it’s likely the Chiefs restructure his deal to lower his salary or cut him and re-sign him to a more team-friendly deal.

Reports indicate those around the Chiefs organization feel that Kelce is leaning toward retirement but the 10-time Pro Bowler stated on a recent episode of his “New Heights” podcast that he’s going to take some time to really weigh his options.

While he mulls over arguably the biggest decision of his NFL career, Kelce is presumably taking some time away from football to reboot with girlfriend Taylor Swift, who flew in two days before the Super Bowl to support Kelce in the biggest game of the season.

Kelce’s dad Ed recently disclosed that his son and Swift are planning to spend some time together with the NFL season in the rearview, and a new report from Marca suggested the couple is keeping it low-key on Valentine’s Day.

“Taylor is making sure Travis isn’t dwelling too much on the game,” a source told Marca. “She’s just being there for him and keeping him engaged in other things. … Their relationship has been a whirlwind since the beginning, but things are great between them. They’re incredibly happy.”

Kelce recently admitted that he put a lot of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss on himself, stating he was kicking himself for some of the decisions he made on the field and not being the best leader he could be in motivating his teammates during the game.

“Swift, known for turning heartbreak into chart-topping hits, is reportedly prioritizing Kelce’s well-being and doing everything she can to lift his spirits,” Marca reported.

The rest of the Kelce family is expected at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, including Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, as well as Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce. Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift is also expected to attend.

The family also came together to support Travis at the 2024 Super Bowl, where the Chiefs played the San Fransisco 49ers. Jason, 37, retired from the Philadelphia Eagles later that year. For the 2024 game, he went all out in Chiefs overalls, while Kylie opted for a Chiefs-red long-sleeve tee with the University of Cincinnati logo (the Kelce brothers’ alma mater) with an “Alright Nah” tee underneath (a nod to Travis).

In 2023, Jason and Travis faced off for their respective teams at the Super Bowl. Ahead of the game, Donna took to X (then Twitter) to share off her inventive clothing choice that showed support for both of her sons and their teams.

She even wore sneakers corresponding to each team — Chiefs on her left, Eagles on her right.

The 2023 game (won by the Chiefs) marked the first time brothers to ever squared off at the Super Bowl.

“It’s just fun being free like that and not having to keep secrets,” Donna adds. “I am having the time of my life now, more than ever.”

  • “Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum Drop Truth Bombs on Leadership & Growth at All-Star Media Day”

“Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum Drop Truth Bombs on Leadership & Growth at All-Star Media Day”

At NBA All-Star Weekend, the spotlight naturally falls on the league’s biggest stars.

    featured-image

For Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, it’s an opportunity to look back on their journeys, leadership roles, and impact beyond the game. Speaking candidly at All-Star Media Day ahead of Sunday’s All-Star Game in San Francisco, the duo discussed everything from their personal growth to their ambitions for the future, both on and off the court.

Brown, the longest-tenured Celtic, has spoken multiple times this year about his growing leadership role on the team. Though the team doesn’t have an official hierarchy, he knows his role as a leader is clear.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are no longer hungry. They're starving. - CelticsBlog

“I’ve been here for the longest,” he said. “Even though we don’t necessarily have it written down, the team moves to the things that me and Jayson do. Even though we have a lot of great players, I feel like my team relies on me to be the leader, the vocal leader. I’d say I’ve taken that role defensively, being the head of the snake, taking on those matchups. My team feeds off of that.”

For Tatum, now in his eighth season, the transition from young star to veteran presence has been undeniable.

“I know I’m still young, but eight years in the league, played a lot of basketball, played a lot of playoff games,” he said. “I’m not one of the old heads, but I’m getting to the point where some of the younger guys look up to me. They probably watched me in high school. So, it’s a smooth transition.”

As Brown and Tatum have grown as players, they’ve gained some wisdom over the years. While answering a young reporter, Brown spoke about the importance of emotional control and clarity.

“Your emotions could get in the way of a game sometimes. Like, you want to have clarity to be able to read every play. It’s the same thing in life. A coach may say something, a referee might say something, you might miss a shot, and it can affect your emotions. And that affects your decision-making. You want to be clear. The same applies in life, sometimes emotions can get in the way of making the right decisions.”

Tatum echoed similar sentiments about staying present.

“I never take it for granted,” he said. “I just always try to remember the kid in St. Louis, myself, that dreamed about being in the NBA. Whether it’s a League Pass game or a primetime TV game, just being grateful that I get to live out my dream.”

Off the court, both players are deeply invested in their impact beyond basketball. Brown views his as a higher purpose and has enjoyed doing it his way.

“I think that’s why I was born,” he said. “I use my platform to try to bring light to a lot of different things and situations, to get people to think differently, but also provide solutions. A lot of people do basketball camps. I’ve never done a basketball camp. Maybe I’ve done one. But for the most part, I do learning camps. I do two camps for our curriculum, which is STEM or STEAM-based, basically giving exposure to kids from marginalized communities.”

Tatum notably joined the $200 million bid that was lodged to bring a WNBA expansion team to his hometown of St. Louis. He spoke about what he thinks it would bring to the city and how it would change the basketball landscape.

“Just investing in women’s sports, I’m such a big believer in that,” he said. “I have a sister who’s 11, and just understanding how big of an impact that would be for the city of St. Louis. If that was to happen, I would love to be a part of it. And I think it would be big for the city and a bunch of girls that are around my sister’s age and the next generation. So if that was to happen, I would love to be a part of it. And I think it would be big for the city of Saint Louis.”

As the Celtics push toward the postseason, both Brown and Tatum remain focused on the goal of not just winning, but on leaving a lasting impact. Brown acknowledges that each season presents new challenges, but the Celtics are embracing them as they stare down the final stretch of the season.

“People look at change like it’s supposed to be the same all the time,” he said. “New year, new season, new teams. Everything is different. And that’s okay. We adjust, and we’re gearing up, getting ready for the playoffs.”

In an exclusive interview, Mahomes revealed that he plans to join a new team in the upcoming season, citing growing dissatisfaction with his treatment and the management structure within the Chiefs organization.

The news has left Chiefs fans, players, and analysts in complete disbelief as one of the most promising quarterbacks of his generation makes a stunning decision to walk away from the franchise that he led to multiple playoff appearances and a Super Bowl victory.

After this season, you will no longer see me with the Kansas City Chiefs,” Mahomes told reporters during a press conference. “Next season, I will be in a better place, a better fit, and with a team that values my skills and contributions more than I feel I have been valued here. It’s a decision I had to make for my career, my well-being, and my future.”

Mahomes’ statement is one that has left the sports world reeling, especially considering the high regard in which the 28-year-old quarterback is held. Having joined the Chiefs as the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Mahomes quickly established himself as one of the most talented and electrifying quarterbacks the league has ever seen. His ability to make jaw-dropping throws, combined with his mobility and football IQ, made him a household name. He led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl LIV victory, earning Super Bowl MVP honors, and has since been a perennial MVP candidate and one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks.

However, Mahomes’ sudden decision to part ways with the Chiefs seems to be the result of mounting frustration with the franchise’s management, contract situation, and his perceived lack of proper support both on and off the field. Sources close to Mahomes have indicated that the quarterback has been increasingly unhappy with the team’s treatment of his contract, his role in decision-making processes, and his concerns over the front office’s failure to build a consistently competitive team around him.
The Chiefs have not given me the resources I need to succeed at the highest level,” Mahomes said in his interview. “I’ve put my heart and soul into this team, but when you don’t feel like your efforts are being reciprocated or respected, it becomes difficult to continue. I’ve had some great moments with Kansas City, but I need a change-one that will allow me to thrive and be the player I know I can be.”

Mahomes went on to explain that while he holds no ill will toward his teammates or the city of Kansas City, his frustration has grown over time as he feels that the organization has not done enough to bolster the team’s roster and offer him the kind of support he deserves. While the Chiefs have remained competitive under head coach Andy Reid, the lack of consistent success in recent years has been a source of contention for Mahomes, who has always held himself to the highest standards.

“Being a part of a winning culture is important to me,” Mahomes continued. “I want to be on a team that is fully committed to not just winning games but to building a legacy of greatness. Unfortunately, I feel that Kansas City has not been able to provide me with the long-term vision and resources that I need to achieve that vision.”

The announcement has sent shockwaves through the NFL, with many speculating about Mahomes’ next move. It is widely believed that Mahomes will have по shortage of suitors once he becomes a free agent, with numerous teams across the league already rumored to be lining up for a chance to sign the superstar quarterback. Teams such as the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and even the Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly interested in bringing Mahomes into their fold, seeing him as a player who can immediately elevate their franchise to championship contention.

REPORT: Chiefs Give Travis Kelce A March 14 Deadline For Retirement Decision

Travis Kelce’s future is one of the top storylines for the NFL offseason and according to The Athletic’s Nate Taylor, the Kansas City Chiefs have given the future Hall of Fame tight end until March 14th to decide whether he will be playing in 2025 or not.

Kelce, who will turn 36 this year, has one season remaining on his contract. But he’s due a $12.5 million roster bonus on March 15, according to Spotrac. The Chiefs are currently projected with $5.38 million in salary cap space for 2025, ranking 23rd among 32 NFL teams.

So the team will need to make some moves to free up more room before NFL free agency begins on March 10.

Kelce had a mediocre 2024 season for the Chiefs with 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns. In the Chiefs’ 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, Kelce had four receptions (on six targets) for 39 yards.

Kansas City signing tight end Noah Gray to a three-year, $18 million extensionbefore last season appeared to indicate that the team was planning for a post-Kelce future.

On his “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis said he would take some time before making a decision on next season.

We’ll find out what the future holds for Kelce by March 14 but it’s clear retirement is in serious play here.
