REVEALED: How Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift ‘reconnected’ with secret romantic getaway after Super Bowl heartbreak

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are back in the United States after a ‘private, romantic getaway’ where they ‘reconnected’ after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month.

The timing and location of the vacation are unclear, but the tight end and his 14-time Grammy Award-winning girlfriend departed America soon after Chiefs’ defeat.

Swift and Kelce have been back in America long enough to enjoy a date night together where they were undetected by the paparazzi, per Page Six.

‘Taylor and Travis had a really nice time reconnecting after a very busy year,’ the outlet reports.

The duo had little time together due to their schedules for months. Swift was busy with her ‘Eras Tour’ for much of 2024, while the NFL season demanded a ton from Kelce.

Kelce and Swift have kept a low profile, outside of the former’s hosting duties on his podcast, since the NFL season ended earlier this month.

Last offseason, Swift and Kelce had vacations to Lake Como and The Bahamas where they were photographed holding hands and enjoying the beach.

The reported date night for Kelce and Swift since returning to the United States likely was not in New York City as they have been swarmed by cameras when out to dinner in The Big Apple.

Swift and Kelce were last pictured together publicly at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, where the Chiefs’ star suffered his second championship-game loss of his NFL career.

Watching Kelce play from a luxury suite Missouri for the first time this season, Swift reportedly ‘knows how hard’ her boyfriend  ‘worked all season and was thrilled to be at the Super Bowl to show her support.’

Kelce looked dejected on the field after the loss where Kansas City trailed by as many as 34 points in the third quarter.

‘Taylor knows Travis took this loss very hard but she couldn’t be more proud of him regardless of the outcome,’ Page Six stated.

The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer has been dating Kelce publicly since September 2023 and has attended 23 of his games since their romance began, with the team holding a 19-4 record in those contests.

Before the Super Bowl, the Chiefs had not lost with Swift in attendance since Christmas Day in 2023.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Tuesday he doesn’t know if Kelce plans to retire or not after telling the Chiefs icon to ‘get out of town and relax’ while he contemplates the decision.

A few days after the 40-22 humbling, the 35-year-old told brother Jason on their New Heights podcast that the ‘wear and tear’ on his body and mind could tempt him to hang up his cleats.

It remains to be seen whether he returns for a 13th season in the NFL later this year, but for now Reid is none the wiser about Kelce’s thought process.

After stressing that he doesn’t know what his star tight end will do, the Chiefs head coach told reporters at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday: ‘That’s up to Travis. At this point, get out of town and relax. That’s my motto for these guys. They played a lot of games for a consistent amount of seasons here.

‘So you get to the end and you’ve exhausted yourself mentally and physically… step back and take care of that, then we’ll talk.

‘But for right now, I think that’s what he’s doing.’

Reid also revealed that he held a customary end-of-season discussion with Kelce before he followed his advice and headed off on vacation.

‘He and I will get together,’ the 66-year-old clarified. ‘I had exit meetings with all the guys before they left, so we did have the chance to talk already.’

  • Luka Dončić shows Mavericks why decision to trade him could age horribly

Luka Dončić shows Mavericks why decision to trade him could age horribly

Of course, he heard the chants.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 25: Luka Doncic #77 of the Los Angeles Lakers shares a laugh with Kyrie Irving #11 and Spencer Dinwiddie #26 of the Dallas Mavericks during the first half of a game at Crypto.com Arena on February 25, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images)

The Dallas Mavericks general manager, whose choice to trade Luka Dončić might go down as one of the biggest blunders in the history of the NBA, and who sat there in that dapper blue suit for all the Crypto.com Arena fans to see in the reunion game on Tuesday night, couldn’t avoid the sarcastic gratitude that was heaped upon him.

“Thank you … Nico!” the Luka Nation bellowed several times during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 107-99 win.

So, I asked in jest afterward: Did he say, “You’re welcome?”

“No,” Harrison said with a smile before heading for the exits.

Give Harrison credit for this much: The 52-year-old former Nike executive is, as you surely have heard by now, a man of great conviction. Once his vision is crystallized — no matter how uncomfortable it might be — he sees nothing else but the decisions that must be made to bring it to life. And in the case of Dončić, whose poor habits both on and off the court were at the crux of this controversial call, that meant parting ways with a player who most believe is on track to become one of the all-time greats for an older, injury-riddled big man in Anthony Davis, who was the centerpiece of their return.

Make no mistake, the people who witnessed Dončić’s last days in Dallas do not paint a flattering portrait of the 25-year-old’s professionalism. They call him lazy. They talk about the weight issues that were such a frequent frustration within their walls. They mention the social habits that The Athletic has reported on — such as a taste for beer and hookah — which have been a point of concern for NBA types since he was a 19-year-old star for Real Madrid who was entering the draft. They predict his basketball demise, highlighting a health history that, as some see it, will likely lead to catastrophe in the next five years or so.

Harrison’s personal journey adds an even deeper layer to the discussion; he rose to prominence as the trusted shoe representative for the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and, thus, clearly decided that Doncic didn’t fit the “Mamba Mentality” bill. Conversely, the combination of Harrison’s close relationship with Davis from their days together at Nike, as well as his strong belief that title contenders need to be special defensively, clearly played a pivotal part in the decision-making process. As Tim Cato of DLLS reported after the deal went down, and as league sources confirmed to The Athletic, Harrison is known to have the kind of short-term view of his GM role that might help explain his impatience with Dončić’s development. He, and they, have no time to waste if he’s only going to do this job for a few more years.

Yet to those who didn’t live through the Dončić experience — the front office executives, coaches and scouts who would love nothing more than to get their hands on a player of his ilk — all these justifications for the trade simply don’t compute. This is the NBA, where ego management has always been part of the equation and choir boys are hard to come by.

Talent isn’t the end-all-be-all, but Dončić’s type — the transcendent kind — is so rare that it should be given every opportunity to be maximized. That’s how it was for the likes of Allen Iverson, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Bill Walton and Larry Bird — all elite players who had their warts. That list is undeniably long, with very few able to meet the sort of standard set by Bryant or his idol, Michael Jordan (who had off-court issues of his own).

As one league source put it while discussing these sorts of players, “You manage.”

The Lakers, meanwhile, believe that Dončić’s best is yet to come. That confidence, as I wrote recently, is inspired partly by the memories of legendary Lakers coach Phil Jackson and his philosophy that players don’t truly mature until their late 20s. And their front office, of course, is headed by someone who is as in tune with Bryant’s legacy as anyone — his longtime agent, Rob Pelinka.

To put it bluntly, the vast majority of people I’ve spoken to within the league about this deal continue to believe that Dallas made a grave mistake. Especially considering how the 32-year-old Davis’ adductor strain, suffered just 31 minutes into his Mavericks tenure in a game against Houston on Feb. 8, only confirmed all those doubts about his reliability.

The irony of the Luka reunion game, though, is that it perfectly captured the spirit of this debate. Dončić had his first triple-double of his Lakers career, finishing with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists while having several moments of entertaining synergy with LeBron James along the way. But he wasn’t quite dominant enough in those 35 minutes to remove all doubt from the skeptics.

That’s the puzzling part of this situation, as Dončić routinely does things that should be lauded only to be met with the kind of scrutiny — and nitpicking, really — that few others face. But to hear his former co-star, Kyrie Irving, share his perspective afterward was to be reminded that his resume is as impressive as they come. And that, as so many see it, is the part that is too quickly forgotten by the Mavericks.

“It was easy to complement him while he’s having an MVP season — an MVP-caliber season,” Irving said while reflecting on their NBA Finals run together last season, when Doncic finished third in MVP voting. “He carried us a lot (when) I was injured or hurt, and … carried the burden and responsibility. So I think for me, there was respect there before we played together. But then playing with him, he’s just an innocent kid. (And) at the same time, he’s just ultra talented, (and the) whole world’s in front of him. You want to protect people like that too, because I feel like sometimes people come at him crazy, which is unnecessary.”

Here’s to hoping that Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont, and his mother-in-law/majority owner Miriam Adelson, heed that advice. While Harrison was clearly a driving force behind this choice, the overlooked reality here is that this deal never goes down unless ownership approves it.

This group that took over from longtime owner Mark Cuban in December 2023, and who are widely seen as neophytes in this high-stakes space, balked at the prospect of giving Dončić a five-year, $345 million deal this summer and later explained the choice by citing “culture” concerns as a major factor. That’s all well and good, but this latest game was as good a sign as any that those worries might not age well.

With Davis in street clothes and so many other Mavericks ailing, the Lakers won for the 15th time in 19 games (and third in five games with Dončić playing). They’re now tied with Houston for fourth in the West, while the Mavs fell to ninth. And if Dončić is going to play like this — critics be damned — it’s bound to get even better in Luka Land.

The Lakers have the Mavericks to thank for that much.

  • “Shannon Sharpe Fires Back at Jayson Tatum: ‘LeBron is STILL the Most Disrespected Player in the NBA!’”

“Shannon Sharpe Fires Back at Jayson Tatum: ‘LeBron is STILL the Most Disrespected Player in the NBA!’”

“It’s still LeBron” – Shannon Sharpe disagrees with Tatum saying he’s the most disrespected player in the NBA

    sharpe-lbj-jt

Ever since Anthony Edwards outright denied wanting to be the face of the NBA, it seems like the entire basketball fraternity has rallied behind him, trying to convince the three-time All-Star to change his mind. However, this has led Shannon Sharpe to voice his dissatisfaction about how Jayson Tatum never gets placed on the same pedestal.

While the league aggressively pushes other young stars forward, no player of the new generation has won more than the six-time All-Star, yet fans conveniently overlook JT when ranking the best players in the league. Tatum is a perfect role model for the next generation to embrace American sports culture.

“The way they handled his situation in the Olympics, I don’t know why people can’t get behind him as one of the faces if not the face of the NBA,” Sharpe said. “We keep trying to push other guys to the forefront, and none of those guys are as accomplished as he is in terms of winning. He’s been winning since he got to the league.”

Sharpe says James is the most disrespected player in the NBA

Shannon’s argument holds weight when considering how the Duke product has been judged over the past few seasons. When Tatum averaged a career-high 30.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, leading the Boston Celtics to register a 57-win campaign in 2022-23, he wasn’t given much attention for the MVP award because his team didn’t secure the No. 1 seed in the East.

Then, in the 2023-24 season, when Jayson willingly reduced his scoring average to 26.9 points while elevating his playmaking to 4.9 assists per game to help the Celtics register the best 64-18 record, he still wasn’t considered the best in the league because the narrative shifted to Boston’s success being a team effort. So, it does seem like every time JT deserves individual recognition, the criteria change conveniently against him.

According to Sharpe, however, no player is more disrespected than LeBron James. At age 40, the four-time MVP is expected to be the Los Angeles Lakers’ No. One option on occasion while also ensuring Luka Doncic gets integrated into the team’s system. Even then, fans don’t fully acknowledge the once-in-a-lifetime longevity shown by the 6’9″ forward.

“I do think JT is undervalued, but for me, it’s still LeBron (who is the most disrespected NBA player). People just take for granted what we see,” Sharpe added. “I still believe LeBron is a top-10 player, you might disagree with me, but what he is asked to do, at the age of 40, on a nightly basis before they got Luka, it’s hard for me to say that there’s somebody that is more undervalued. But if I had to pick one guy and say you know what, Shannon, he’s more undervalued than LeBron, it’s Jayson Tatum.”

    Is LBJ truly disrespected?

The standard with the 21-time All-Star has always been greatness. Even in Year 22, James is averaging 24.7 points and 8.8 assists per game, showing no signs of slowing down but rather still being capable of leading a big-market team to a title. But fans have been so accustomed to this consistent dominance that they now seem to not marvel at every added accomplishment.

So, what Sharpe must realize, despite his admiration for LeBron, is that the NBA and its fans still go out of their way to appreciate “The King” and his legacy. On the contrary, the same cannot be said for Tatum; whether it is about the 26-year-old’s leadership or individual consistency, he continues to be undervalued regarding the MVP conversation. If this trend continues, JT’s legacy might be wrongly remembered as someone who was never the best player in the NBA when that simply is not the case.

Payton Pritchard’s wife captures touching moment NBA champion sneaks off during dog walk to surprise young fan

Payton Pritchard proved his quality on and off the NBA court when his wife, Emma MacDonald, captured the Celtics star surprising a young fan, and posted the moment on her Instagram story.

The couple went on a leisurely walk with their dogs when the 26-year-old saw a young boy hooping by himself and decided to give the fan a moment to remember.

Unable to resist a shootaround, Pritchard ended up in a one-on-one scrimmage with the fan. In the video posted by Emma, Payton is seen backing down the young player before pulling up and making a bumpy jump shot.

‘We took our dog to the park and I turn around and find him here,’ Emma wrote on the clip.

Pritchard can be heard teasing the fan, saying ‘Watch your hand check, bro,’ repeatedly as his defender smiles while reaching for the ball.

Payton Pritchard’s wife posted a video of him playing one-on-one with a young Celtics fan

The young fan then exclaimed ‘Oh my,’ as he watched Pritchard’s shot hit the net after bouncing off the rim and backboard four times.

Pritchard was drafted by the Celtics with the 26th pick out of Oregon in 2020 and became an effective role player for the team.

After averaging 9.6 points in 22.3 minutes per game last season, Pritchard was a dynamite off the bench for the Celtics in the playoffs. Through their postseason run, Pritchard scored 122 points in total, making 41.9 percent of his field goals and 38.3 percent from three-point range.

The Celtics would beat Miami and Cleveland in back-to-back gentlemen’s sweeps before sweeping the Pacers in the Conference Finals. They defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games to secure the franchise’s 18th banner.

So far this season, Pritchard is averaging 12.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2 assists as the Celtics look to repeat come June.

Boston is 3-0 to start the season with wins over the Knicks, Wizards, and Pistons. They look to remain undefeated as they face the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, Oct. 28.

NBA Surprise! Darko Rajakovic Elevates Forgotten Celtics Star With Shocking Praise

The Toronto Raptors had a tough time keeping up with the defending NBA champions on Tuesday night. Despite a valiant effort, the Raptors wound up dropping a competitive 111-101 ball game to the Boston Celtics. A big part of Toronto failing to overcome Boston was undoubtedly the efforts of Jayson Tatum. Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic made sure to let everyone know just how great the Celtics star is.

Tatum finished the game with a double-double, posting 19 points and 11 assists in the win. The talented all-around star even chipped in six rebounds and a steal as well.

After the game was over, Rajakovic was asked about Tatum and his impact on this contest. The Raptors coach could not help but gush a little bit in his response to Josh Lewenberg.

Tatum has proven to be a big of a divisive player among the NBA community when it comes to the evaluation of his greatness. It sounds pretty clear which side of the polarizing debate that Rajakovic stands on.

The way the second-year coach described Tatum would imply Rajakovic considering the Celtics star underrated relative to his ability. This feels fair after watching Tatum overcome a lackluster scoring performance with a tremendous game distributing the ball.

Tatum is one of those stars whose versatility is not talked about enough. The six-time All-Star seems to rub a lot of NBA fans the wrong way, leading to a general downplay towards his talents. Rajakovic clearly does not ascribe to that line of thinking.

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum can’t avoid the limelight. No matter how quiet he stays or how normal a life he lives (for an NBA superstar, that is), his name always manages to make headlines. And in almost every scenario, it’s never by his own accord. This time around, he has Brandon Jennings to thank.

During a recent appearance on Gil’s Arena, he called Tatum the softest Celtics superstar ever. Gilbert Arenas was not pleased with the statement. Tatum’s trainer, Drew Hanlen, weighed in on Twitter regarding the statement, and Jennings responded by saying that Tatum should win the MVP to prove him wrong.

This is everything that’s wrong with NBA coverage nowadays.

Brandon Jennings slandering Jayson Tatum proves how absurd NBA coverage is nowadays

Tatum eventually responded to Jennings’ comment in an Instagram caption, mocking the statement by writing it out with miscapitalized lettering. But that’s beside the point.

First and foremost, Jennings using the MVP award as the barometer for toughness and success should tell fans all they need to know about his priorities.

Tatum just led the Celtics to an NBA Championship, but that’s not good enough. No, Jennings wants the MVP award. So, what’s more important? Because if Tatum had prioritized individual stats to win the award and fallen short of a title, he would have been slandered in the media for that. So, how does that make any sense?

Regardless, that’s not even the worst of it. The sheer fact that this was a conversation being had by former NBA players whose podcast constantly goes viral on NBA Twitter is everything that’s wrong with the coverage of the sport.

Instead of breaking down the game, talking about Tatum’s skills or deficiencies on the court, or uplifting the league itself, they decided to talk about a completely subjective, useless conversation.

They aren’t even talking about if Tatum is tough enough to compete with upcoming teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder or Cleveland Cavaliers—still somewhat of a silly conversation, but at least it would be relevant.

No. Jennings simply decided to slander Tatum’s name in relation to other Celtics players despite the fact that he just won a championship for the organization.

It doesn’t make sense logistically. It doesn’t make sense from a timing perspective. It doesn’t make sense at all. It’s foolishness.

And perhaps it’s a problem with NBA fandom in general because this is the slop that they strive to listen to.

What a ridiculously useless conversation to be having.

    Oh, and here’s this, too…
