Spoil His 35-Point Outing vs Magic

The Boston Celtics rarely lose when they take a lead as big as 15. Such an unraveling did transpire against a heavily deprived Orlando Magic side. However, their resilience ultimately paved the way for a stunning upset. The Shamrocks, despite Jaylen Brown’s 35 points couldn’t hold on to their first-half lead. Orlando’s suffocating defense played a hand. However, Brown also felt they were “allowed” to do certain things.

Most recently in the game against the Chicago Bulls, the reigning Finals MVP called out the officials for ‘threatening’ players. Tonight, it wasn’t as severe, but JB felt the referees played to Orlando’s advantage. “Things wasn’t going our way. We felt like the officials were one sided,” he said after the game.

In particular, Brown felt Orlando was “allowed to be physical” which deterred the Celtics from their strong first-half showing. But rather than crucify the officials as he did before, the Celtics star feels the team needs to get used to such environments as the defending champions.

“I think we need to see that more, get used to that, and get more comfortable with that level of environment,” Brown said.

In terms of foul calls, again, the Celtics did beat the Magic in terms of free throw advantage. They attempted six more, but Orlando didn’t miss any of their 21 attempts. Furthermore, aside from Jaylen Brown, the Magic managed to limit Porzingis in the absence of Jaylen Brown. Also, the Celtics’ 8-man rotation seemed to backfire as their bench got outscored by 30 points tonight.

But even if the Orlando Magic did have an advantage, JB didn’t hesitate in giving them credit. He felt like they “set the tone” in the second half with their tenacity and ultimately that is what helped them win the game.

The Orlando Magic showed heart against the Boston Celtics

As mentioned, the Magic turned the game around. By the first half, even though they prevented the Celtics from making threes, a 15-point lead is hard to recover from. The Magic achieved to settle the equation in the third quarter. A lot of it was due to them flipping the script on the Boston Celtics.

Following a 20% three-point shooting first half, Orlando did tremendous damage from distance in the second half. They hit 10 threes in the second half, shooting 55.6% from three. Tristan da Silva and Trevelin Queen combined to make seven of those and were also the standout performers for the night.

But that wasn’t all. The Celtics weren’t shooting the ball well, but the Magic guarded the perimeter with their lives. The Shamrocks only made eight threes the entire game, their lowest mark so far this season. Furthermore, the 18 turnovers they forced was also the second-most for the Celtics.

All around, it was a display of heart and strong will. Without the Wagner brothers and Paolo Banchero, their top three scorers, the Magic ere written off even before the game began. But they proved that no mountain is big enough, thwarting the Shamrocks in their own backyard, only their fourth loss at home.

Hence, with such an inspiring effort, tonight was a win the Orlando Magic most certainly deserved.

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has consistently demonstrated excellence on the court, but it’s his off-court gestures that have recently captured fans’ hearts. On December 25, 2024, following a commanding 123-98 victory over the Chicago Bulls, Tatum’s post-game actions resonated deeply with the basketball community.

After delivering a stellar performance—43 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking his first triple-double of the season—Tatum took a moment to share the victory with his son, Deuce. The game coincided with Deuce’s 7th birthday, making the occasion even more special. In a heartfelt post-game interview, Tatum expressed, “I felt old today,” reflecting on the swift passage of time as his son grows older.

This gesture is not an isolated incident. Tatum has a history of involving Deuce in his professional life, often bringing him to games and press conferences. Their close-knit relationship has endeared them to fans, showcasing a balance between professional dedication and personal commitment.

Beyond his familial interactions, Tatum’s community involvement further exemplifies his character. He has participated in various charitable events and youth basketball clinics, aiming to inspire and give back to the community that supports him. His ability to seamlessly integrate his personal and professional life not only enhances his public image but also sets a commendable example for fans and fellow athletes alike.

As the season progresses, fans will undoubtedly continue to support Tatum, not just for his basketball

In the ’70s, Sylvester Stallone hit rock bottom, selling his dog Butkus for just $40 outside an 7-11—proving life’s ruff when hustling to make Rocky!

Stallone’s plight didn’t end there. After selling the script for Rocky, he found himself with a little more cash and a burning desire to reclaim his furry friend. He splashed out an astounding $15,000 to repurchase Butkus from his new owners. In his own words, Stallone declared it was “worth every penny.” That’s some profound love right there!

    Butkus: The Four-Legged Inspiration

According to reports, Stallone’s bond with Butkus was inseparable. When he had to sell him, it was one helluva decision. “They weren’t thrilled, but I said, ‘Please,’” Stallone recalled. The dog had been his companion during those tough years, sharing his struggles as they hustled through life together. Fortunately, the family eventually relented, allowing Stallone to reunite with his four-legged buddy.

Butkus didn’t just get his old home back; he also got his big break! Stallone made sure his loyal companion had a role in Rocky. What a heartwarming way to pay homage to the pup who stood by him during the most challenging times.

    A Tale of Hollywood Myths

Now, this whole saga raises eyebrows about the evolving tales in Hollywood. Over the years, the story of how Stallone got Butkus back has seen some wild inflation. While Stallone mentioned paying $15,000 in 2017, earlier accounts put the figure at around $3,000. So, what gives? Was it a classic case of embellishment or just a bit of creative storytelling?

As he admitted, “It was horsesh*t,” acknowledging that the narratives crafted by studios often blurred the lines between fact and fiction. But one thing remains true: whether it was $3,000 or $15,000, the love between Stallone and Butkus was priceless. And that’s the real story that resonates.

NBA referee Jenna Schroeder had to correct a mistake in a bizarre situation during the Philadelphia 76ers’ game against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.

Early in the second quarter, 76ers center Andre Drummond was ejected for a foul on Spurs star Victor Wembanyama. However, video replay of the incident forced referees to overturn the ejection and call Drummond back into the game despite him already walking off the floor.

Schroeder was heard telling 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, “I f—ed up.” Drummond was allowed back into the game.

    WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE

Instead of Drummond receiving the technical foul, Wembanyama was hit with a technical foul for flopping. Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey shot the technical free throw but officials then rescinded the technical foul and took away a point.

Crew chief Curtis Blair said the review showed Drummond stepped on Wembanyama’s foot and that it was ruled incidental contact.

The Spurs’ 7-footer said there shouldn’t have been a foul on the play.

“Just stepped on my foot and I fell,” he said. “That’s it. I just got tripped. I didn’t mean to fall. I didn’t expect the foul to be called. I just fell.”

Nurse also reacted to the incident.

“The whole thing was really strange,” he said.

Sixers star Joel Embiid was also ejected from the game after receiving two unsportsmanlike conduct technical fouls. He was seen rushing Schroeder at one point and needed to be held back.

Embiid didn’t speak to the media after the game.

Kristaps Porzingis was in the middle of two altercations late in the Boston Celtics’ game against the Orlando Magic on Monday. The Latvian had a heated argument and confrontation against Magic guard Jalen Suggs before Orlando center Goga Bitadze intervened. Bitadze earned the ire of Porzingis after the big man put his hand around Boston’s lanky center.

The Porzingis-Suggs confrontation quickly became the Porzingis-Bitadze skirmish. Suggs, now the pacifist, desperately tried to push the former Washington Wizards star from his teammate. Referees and the coaching staff from both teams quickly entered the court to prevent things from escalating.

After referees reviewed the incident, Kristaps Porzingis and Jalen Suggs received technical fouls. Goga Bitadze, who seemingly mocked the Latvian, realized he had been ejected from the game.

The Orlando Magic dragged the Boston Celtics to a physical game on both ends of the floor. Without Paolo Banchero, Mo Wagner and Franz Wagner, the hosts turned it into a defensive slugfest. The ploy worked as after a fiery start, the defending champs’ offense stuttered.

When the referees sent Goga Bitadze to the locker room, the Magic held a 103-93 lead. Despite Porzingis remaining in the game, the Celtics could not turn the game around and lost 108-104.

    @gracewein continued:

“idk what’s wrong with me that i think this is soooo funny. joe is gonna love this”

The testy game between the Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics on Monday was the first of three encounters. Kristaps Porzingis will see Goga Bitadze and Jalen Suggs again in the rematch on Jan. 17. Fans already expressed in the comments that they can’t wait for the next Magic-Celtics game.

Jason Kelce, who is already enjoying his retirement, was never one to receive intense attention due to his position in the National Football League.

Things changed drastically as his brother, Travis, began dating Taylor Swift. That has led to millions of people getting to know him and ensuring that his name comes up just as much due to who his brother is.

Unfortunately, it appears fans in the NFL have grown tired of him.

ESPN signed a multi-year agreement with Super Bowl Champion Jason Kelce to work on Monday Night Football.

With just a few more games left, fans have had enough of seeing the former center.

This past Monday night may have done it for good, as Kelce was on the pregame coverage for the Packers and Saints.

At one point, dressed in a Santa suit, Kelce was seen singing an improvised version of “Silent Night” that gave a shoutout to one of his Monday Night Countdown cohosts.

When he’s not on broadcast, fans are likely to see him in several commercials for Buffalo Wild Wings and Campbell’s Chunky Spicy Nashville-Style Hot Chicken Soup.

Not to mention, he has a widely popular podcast with his brother as well.

During Monday night’s game between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, sports radio host Scott Puryear started off the Jason Kelce hate train when he wrote: “I don’t know about you, but I am about Jason Kelce’d out,” Puryear wrote. “Ninety-nine percent of America didn’t even know who he was when he was one of the best NFL linemen in the game. Now, he’s in every other commercial. Stop the madness.”

Many more would begin complaining as well:

“I am so tired of Jason kelce’s shtick,” one fan said.

“Sick and tired of seeing kelce or any other smoe on commercials 😑😑😑,” one fan added.

“Alright I am officially tired of seeing Jason Kelce everywhere,” another X user said.

One bold fan spoke out: “I’m so damn tired of seeing/hearing about jason kelce and his family.”

Another X user added, “How can I just opt out of all Jason Kelce content? I’m tired of seeing his goddamn face everywhere.”

Jason Kelce Is Not Going Anywhere

Despite how NFL fans may feel, Jason Kelce isn’t going anywhere.

With the increased attention on him due to his brother dating Taylor Swift, networks such as ESPN will make sure he is on television if it means that a few million more Swifties will tune in.

Basically, Kelce is here to stay.

NFL fans have had it up to here with the officiating this season and were calling for the referees who worked Sunday’s game between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles to be suspended.

The Commanders claimed an important win on the day, clinching a 10th victory with a late 36-33 result on a last-ditch touchdown. However, fans were upset as it appeared that the refs missed a blatant false start on the play, which ended up being the dagger for Washington as they went ahead with the TD.

Washington’s right tackle moved before the ball was snapped, but NFL refs are told to cut linemen a little slack in such cases, which is why FOX’s Greg Olsen thought it was a good no-call.

Check it out in the video below:

NFL Fans Didn’t Agree With Olsen’s Take On The Lack Of A Flag For The Washington Commanders

Fans on social media did not agree with Olsen and felt like the Eagles were robbed on the play.

“THE REFS MISSED AN OBVIOUS FALSE START ON THE #COMMANDERS TACKLE ON THEIR GAME-WINNING PLAY,” MLFootball noted.

“That’s the most obvious false start I’ve ever seen,” another account declared.

“Pretty clear false start on the right tackle,” said another.

“MISSED a False start by the Right Tackle on that Commanders go-ahead TD. Wow. Bad miss too,” a fourth wrote.

“How can the refs miss this false start on the commanders also fire that announcer it’s not an impressive win considering hurts was out by a dirty hit by Luvu and he should’ve been ejected for that,” a fan suggested.

The loss was significant for Philly, as they failed to clinch the NFC East and blew a chance to snatch the No. 1 seed.

The Washington Commanders, on the other hand, have kept their playoff hopes alive.

In today’s world, there are cameras everywhere. So if you’re going to perform a wild act in public, you can bet there’s a very good chance that it’ll end up on the internet.

This promiscuous couple likely knew the risk they were taking when they decided to let their inhibitions get the best of them during a recent UFC Fight Night event. But they didn’t seem to care one bit.

In the video that was captured from the stands at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, a woman can be seen bent down in front of her man while appearing to perform a nasty deed on him, all while the people seated around them look on.

Despite all the eyes, the couple didn’t seem bothered, as they simply continued on with their task.

Instagram personality “funnydegenerate” has since come out to claim that he was the man on the receiving end in the video above. In fact, he had some video proof of his own, which he posted to Instagram while claiming, “she dropped her keys down there.”

No one was buying funnydegenerate’s explanation.

“She’s going for the record for fastest finish at a UFC event,” one fan joked.

No shame,” another accurately pointed out.

The action in the ring was just as exciting as the action taking place in the stands at Amalie Arena on Saturday, December 14 for UFC On ESPN: Covington vs. Buckley.

All four of the final fights on the evening were ended by knockouts, with Buckley closing out the event by ending Covington with a doctor’s stoppage in the third round. It was an enjoyable ending for many who showed up to watch the cocky Covington get his mouth shut.

It wasn’t the only enjoyable ending of the evening, though.

Things got pretty wild at the UFC on ESPN event in Tampa over the weekend, and we’re not exactly talking about the action in the ring.

During the event that was headlined by a bout between Colby Covington and Joaquin Buckley, things got pretty crazy in the stands when one female decided to treat her man to a little mid-fight surprise. And it didn’t go unnoticed, as at least one witness caught it all on camera.

The couple clearly had no shame the male involved even shared a little clip of his own on his Instagram page.

Apparently the woman wasn’t interested in letting her man steal the entire spotlight, as she took to the comments section to identify herself.

Her name is Isabella Torres, and she wanted everyone to know, “DAS ME.”

Fresno State lost the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, but that wasn’t the only thing that went wrong with them on this day.

During the Bulldogs’ 28–20 double overtime loss to Northern Illinois, ESPN’s graphics team repeatedly could not get their nicknames correct.

They were referred to as the “Bulldongs.”

Fresno State once led the game 13-3 as it went to halftime, but the Huskies came out ready to work and tied the game with 10 unanswered second-half points.

The Bulldogs scored on the first possession of overtime, but NIU once again tied things up, sending the game to a second and final overtime.

That is when the Huskies scored on the first play of their next possession and got the two-point conversion to take a 28-20 lead.

Fresno State couldn’t answer that touchdown as they went four-and-out on their final possession in double overtime.

Their final game of the year had the Bulldogs ended the season with a 6-7 record under interim head coach Tim Skipper.

The Fresno State Bulldogs Are Getting Ready For A New Era

Fresno State lost the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Monday.

They would finish the year 6-7.

The loss ends one era and will begin another one as the Bulldogs hired former North Dakota State head coach Matt Entz as Fresno State’s full-time head coach.

Entz spent last season as the linebackers coach for the USC Trojans.

Prior to that position, Entz compiled a 60-11 record at North Dakota State, which included two FCS national titles.
