Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend, Ella Mai, took to Instagram to share an adorable image of her on Saturday. The Grammy Award-winning R&B singer posted her never-seen-before childhood picture on a black rocking horse. The picture was from a time when the artist still lived in the UK.

Ella Mai's recent storyElla Mai’s recent story

The 30-year-old was born in London to a Jamaican mother and an English father. She grew up in the United Kingdom till the age of 12. In 2006, the former “Arize” member relocated to New York City with her mother, a teacher. The transfer from London to New York was not smooth, as Mai was bullied for her accent when she initially moved.

Ella completed her education graduating from Queens High School of Teaching in Glen Oaks, Queens. Ella returned to London when she was 17. She joined the British and Irish Modern Music Institute starting her music journey.

After years of hard work and failed attempts like the time, she competed on the X Factor. Ella Mai finally found her breakthrough in 2018 as her tracks “Boo’d Up” and “Trip” found global acclaim.

Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai’s matching tattoos

Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai have become one of the NBA’s power couples as the Boston Celtics star and the English artist continue to rise in their respective fields.

Fans have noticed a simple yet meaningful gesture from both stars to signify their bond. The Boston Celtics star and Ella share a matching tattoo.

Both Jayson and Mai have multiple tattoos on them. A fan posted an image where the couple inked “3” in the same font behind their left ears.

Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai reportedly started seeing each other in 2020. Their relationship was confirmed following their first public appearance together in July 2022, Michael Rubin’s annual Fourth of July White Party. The couple welcomed their first child in June.

Celtics’ Joe Mazzulla’s surprising reaction to tough upcoming schedule

Celtics’ Joe Mazzulla’s surprising reaction to tough upcoming schedule

The Celtics’ schedule isn’t getting any easier, but Joe Mazzulla doesn’t seem to mind.

Joe Mazzulla yelling or looking happy with air bubble reading "Can't wait"BOSTON — After falling to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night, 123-114, the Boston Celtics are 2-4 in their last six games. Despite these recent struggles, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla is looking forward to his team’s schedule becoming even harder in the coming days.

Following the nine-point loss, which is tied for Boston’s largest margin of defeat this season, Mazzulla was asked how his guys are planning on handling an upcoming road trip featuring four games in six days.

Joe Mazzulla on the Celtics’ tough schedule in the coming weeks: “I’m actually really excited about it. It’s gonna be great.”

    Image

Although that answer might seem surprising given Boston’s troubles this December, it’s on brand for Mazzulla. The New England native has never backed down from a challenge and he doesn’t expect his players to either.

What does the Celtics’ upcoming schedule look like?

Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla talks with guard Jaylen Brown (7) from the sideline as they take on the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden. David Butler II-Imagn Images
On Tuesday afternoon, the 23-9 C’s will have an opportunity to bounce back at home against the Toronto Raptors, who are currently on a 10-game losing streak. Once that New Year’s Eve showdown ends, the Green Team will head west to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves on Thursday night. Next, the Celtics go down to Texas on Friday to face the 21-10 Houston Rockets.

Things only get more difficult on Sunday afternoon, as the C’s take on the talented Oklahoma City Thunder (who are 13-2 at home). To close out the road trip, the Celtics travel west again to meet the Denver Nuggets late next Tuesday. The 2023 NBA champions haven’t lost to the Celtics in the regular season since November of 2022.

While this Western Conference gauntlet is daunting and full of playoff teams, Mazzulla is confident in his squad. Celtics guard Derrick White didn’t discuss any of these games, but he did emphasize how much the players believe in one another.

“Just trust the character in the locker room or the type of guys that are in that locker room,” White responded when questioned about his confidence in his teammates. “And those the type of guys I want to go to war with. So I’m confident in that.”

Boston didn’t lose three games in a row for the entirety of 2024, so faltering in four of its last six contests is uncommon. It’s especially unusual for White, who’s made two trips to the NBA Finals since joining the C’s in 2022.

“There’s ups and downs through every season, so we’re in those downs and just got to figure it out together,” he said.

The Celtics had the chance to avoid talks of a slump on Sunday because they nearly stormed back to defeat the Pacers. However, cutting Indiana’s lead down to five with 8:23 remaining in the fourth quarter was as good as it got for Boston down the stretch. Indy had an answer for every push and Boston struggled to hit the shots it needed, making just one of its final 12 attempts from deep.

“Winning in the NBA is hard,” Celtics star Jayson Tatum admitted. “We gotta understand that. We know that.”

Tatum, White, and reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown combined for 70 points and 15 of the Celtics’ 26 assists. It wasn’t enough though, and Tatum knows it.

“Everybody is confident in our ability and what we can be as a team. We just gotta do it,” he stated. “It hasn’t been the best stretch for us. But that’s okay. Nobody’s panicking or anything like that, but just gotta be better.”

Jaylen Brown knows what needs to be fixed moving forward

Jaylen Brown in Boston Celtics jersey with sad/disappointed faceAs far as Eastern Conference contenders go, the Boston Celtics shouldn’t be struggling. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown still lead the way. The supporting cast remains intact. And on the sidelines, Joe Mazulla continues to utilize the playbook that granted them a championship. The thing is, they’re in a slump.

Through their last six games, the second-seeded Celtics are 2-4, and all the while, the Cleveland Cavaliers are slowly breaking away while the New York Knicks are on the verge of catching up. Boston’s latest outing occurred on Sunday — a 123-114 defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. Behind Tyrese Haliburton’s 31-point night, the Pacers bounced back from their blowout loss to the Celtics two nights ago.

Jaylen Brown had 31 points to lead the green team, but it wasn’t enough to avoid their sixth home loss of the season. Regardless, Brown knows exactly what’s causing the slump, and what the Celtics have to do moving forward.

“We gotta emphasize that we gotta get back to emphasizing the defensive side of the ball,” Brown said, per Celtics on CLNS. “It’s kind of slipped over the last few games, our intensity. And teams are pressuring us, they’re being physical with us, we gotta do some of the same stuff back to them.”

    The Celtics falter on Sunday

That downward slip of intensity was present against the Pacers on Sunday. In addition to the Celtics being outscored in terms of efficiency, Brown and Co. were outrebounded by Indiana, 50-41. The Pacers also controlled the offensive glass, as energetic bench players led the way to give Indiana 11 offensive boards. Furthermore, the Celtics allowed the Pacers to play their run-and-gun brand of basketball in the form of 18 fastbreak points given up.

From December 19 up to now (the span of their last six games), the Celtics hold a 15th-ranked defensive rating (112.1) and are 14th in opponent rebounds per game (44.8). This is quite concerning, considering how they’re known to boast one of the league’s most versatile defenses.

The schedule ahead won’t make things any easier. The Celtics’ next five games include opponents such as the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Denver Nuggets. If Boston wants to regain their footing, they have no choice but to heed Jaylen Brown’s comments.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyer says his countersuit against Blake Lively will ‘shock everyone’

It appears the hostility between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will not end with 2024.

On the heels of the Dailymail.com’s exclusive report Friday that the It Ends with Us actor-director Baldoni, 40, and multiple associates are preparing to file a countersuit against the film’s star Lively, 37, when courts open up January 2, Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman vowed the contents of the filing will ‘shock everyone.’

‘I am not going to speak to when or how many lawsuits we are filing but when we file our first lawsuit, it is going to shock everyone who has been manipulated into believing a demonstrably false narrative,’ Freedman on Saturday told Deadline.

Freedman said that contents of the countersuit ‘will be supported by real evidence and tell the true story’ of how things went down between the creatives and their respective publicity teams.

‘In over 30 years of practicing, I have never seen this level of unethical behavior intentionally fueled through media manipulation,’ Freedman told the outlet. ‘It reminds me of what NBC tried to do to Megyn Kelly and Gabrielle Union and we all know how that ended up. Standby.’

Dailymail.com has reached out to Freedman, as well as reps for both Lively and Baldoni, for comment on the latest in the developing story.

Freedman told People Sunday that the countersuit will shed light on ‘those who believe themselves untouchable.’

Said Freedman: ‘This is not a response or countersuit – it’s a deliberate pursuit of truth.’

Freedman also alluded to a December 21 story on the issue published by The New York Times, titled ‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine.

Freedman said that ‘this lawsuit will uncover and expose the false and destructive narrative that was intentionally engineered by a trusted media publication who relied upon nefarious sources and neglected a thorough fact checking process to confirm the validity of these texts.’

As Dailymail.com previously reported, Baldoni’s business partner Jamey Heath will also be involved with the countersuit, as well as the publicists who were cited in the complaint filed by Lively December 20.

In her 80-page legal complaint – which typically predates a formal lawsuit – Lively accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her during production of the motion picture in multiple ways.

Lively said in the legal complaint that Baldoni had barged into her trailer as she was breastfeeding her child; spoke about his past addiction to adult films; spoke about past sexual experiences with non-consensual implications; and pried her about details of her ‘intimate life.’

Lively’s legal team said in the complaint that Baldoni ‘routinely degraded [her] by finding back channel ways of criticizing her body and weight.’

Baldoni and select associates worked in concert in instigating a negative publicly campaign at her expense, with the intent to diminish her reputation, Lively – who is married to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, 48 – said in the complaint.

‘I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,’ Lively told the Times.

Baldoni has denied all of the claims against him in Lively’s legal filing.

In the wake of Lively’s legal filing, Baldoni has faced a number of consequences, including a lawsuit from a former publicist; and being dropped by the agency WME, which also reps Lively and Reynolds.

The organization Vital Voices said in a statement December 24 that it had rescinded an honor presented to the actor-director earlier this month, The Voices of Solidary Award.

‘The Voices of Solidarity Award honors remarkable men who have shown courage and compassion in advocating on behalf of women and girls,’ the group said.

Vital Voices subsequently said that allegations in the complaint filed by Lively were ‘disturbing,’ ‘abhorrent’ and ‘contrary to the values’ it holds dear, leading it to revoke the honors for Baldoni.

Among the expected claims made in the countersuit as previously reported by Dailymail.com include allegations that Lively’s associates mislead with their release of out of context WhatsApp messages.

Other anticipated claims in then countersuit are that Lively’s rep used media outlets to take shots at Baldoni’s reputation; and that Lively’s December 20 complaint was filed to salvage her reputation after a stretch of negative publicity.

The timing of the complaint from Lively ‘makes no sense’ as it’s being presented, an insider previously told Dailymail.com.

‘Do you seriously think that Blake Lively, married to one of the most powerful men in town and represented by one of the most powerful publicists, is going to sit meekly by if she is sexually harassed on a film set, and then hang on for four months after the film is released before making a complaint?’ the insider asked.

The insider confirmed that while Lively and Baldoni ‘never got on’ and ‘rubbed each other up the wrong way,’ the actress ‘has taken bits of conversations which they had when he was trying to be her friend, when they were friendly, and weaponized them.’

Leslie Sloane, who heads up the PR company representing Lively, Vision PR, denied ever having provided the media with stories in regards to complaints about Baldoni’s conduct on the set of the movie, in a statement to Deadline on Saturday.

‘It’s clear that Mr. Baldoni and his Wayfarer Associates are suggesting that I originated press stories about HR complaints on set, which is false,’ Sloane said, referring back to ‘Lively’s Complaint and the Complaint filed by Jonesworks LLC and Stephanie Jones’ in regard to ‘the details of the campaign against’ Lively.

Sloane told the outlet that the situation involved both Baldoni PR chief Melissa Nathan and her sister, Page Six editor Sara Nathan.

‘I was contacted on 8/11 by Sara Nathan (Melissa Nathan’s sister) forwarding an anonymous tip that Page Six received,’ Sloane told Deadline, ‘regarding allegations of HR complaints on the set of It Ends with Us.’

Sloane told the outlet, ‘After that, I was contacted by various press outlets asking about allegations of HR complaints. When contacted, I responded to press questions by referring them to Wayfarer or Sony for information regarding HR complaints.’

It Ends with Us, which also starred Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar and Kevin McKidd, arrived in theaters August 9 and was a hit with audiences. It earned $148 million in domestic box office, and $350 million globally, according to Box Office Mojo.

Two days after Jaylen Brown’s 44 points powered the Celtics to a blowout win over the Pacers, Indiana delivered payback. Boston’s defense fell apart, with Jayson Tatum looking unengaged and the team following suit in one of their worst defensive showings this season! The Pacers sliced through Boston’s defense with ease, driving to the rim like the Celtics were handing out free passes.

Miscommunication in pick-and-roll coverage led to mismatches that Myles Turner exploited, while one-on-one defense was a disaster, with Pacers players blowing past defenders on nearly every possession. This game highlighted Boston’s ongoing defensive struggles, as individual performances have taken a noticeable dip this season. The lack of effort and cohesion allowed Indiana to capitalize repeatedly, leaving Celtics fans questioning their team’s intensity.

Even Tatum and Brown had to admit their defensive failures. JT addressed the Celtics’ defensive struggles, stressing the need to refocus on fundamentals. He stated, “We just gotta get back to the basics, man……throughout a season, things can get off track, and as professionals, we got to lock back in, get back to our identity which, you know, very confident that we can. It’s just a matter of about doing it.”

Tatum also expressed frustration with their current state, saying, We’re not happy where we’re at. We all have to understand we played a part in where we’re at right now. We just got to be better.”

His partner in crime Brown also said, “We got to get back to emphasizing the defensive side of the ball. Just kind of slipped over the last few games, our intensity.”

JB acknowledged that opponents have been more physical, something the Celtics need to match. “Teams are pressing us, being physical with us. We got to do some of the same stuff back to them,” he added. While the team has shown flashes of strong defense, Brown admitted it hasn’t been enough to sustain success.

After this loss, the Celtics find themselves clinging to a slim lead over the Knicks, just one game ahead of the East’s No. 2 seed. And if they want to go back-to-back, they need their “identity” back.

Jayson Tatum and the C’s want their identity as ‘one of the best defensive teams’ back

Back in their 2023-24 championship season, the Celtics were defensive juggernauts, holding the NBA’s second-best defensive rating at 110.6. This season, though, they’ve dropped to eighth with a 110.1 rating over 32 games—a noticeable shift for a team that prided itself on lockdown defense.

After Sunday’s loss, head coach Joe Mazzulla didn’t mince words about their struggles. “When you’re not playing well defensively, that’s on everybody,” he said. “That’s on the staff, it’s on the coaches, it’s on the players. Just got to continue to work at it.”

It’s refreshing to hear accountability from a coach, but you can’t help wondering if the team feels the same urgency.

The Celtics showed flashes of their old form during Friday’s blowout win against Indiana, leaving fans hopeful. But Sunday’s rematch crushed that optimism when the Pacers shot a blistering 52.9 percent and racked up 66 points in the paint. It felt like Boston was rolling out the red carpet to the rim.

Losing four of their last six games has exposed cracks in their defensive foundation. The Celtics, once defined by their relentless defense, now seem to be searching for that spark again.

    Let’s be real—fans aren’t just frustrated, they’re worried!

Can this team fix its defensive issues before the season gets away from them? What do you say?

    Star’s Long Absence

It’s the holiday season! Comfortable PJs and time with loved ones have been the case for most WNBA players. But, unfortunately, or not, that is not the scene Kysre Gondrezick shares.

    Watch What’s Trending Now!

The Chicago Sky star’s Instagram posts have been all about Christmas vibes, and in high-end style, of course. Her latest photo dump is a collage of pics and videos that scream luxury. We’re talking Chanel bags, Balenciaga slippers, and everything an influencer dreams about. But there’s something missing: Jaylen Brown.

Days after, Gondrezick once again took to her official Instagram account to share a glimpse of her festive vibes with fans. “I really do enjoy dating myself,” she penned with a heart emoji, alongside a snippet of her table setup. There was a book, a plate, and a bowl full of fries.

If you’re wondering about Jaylen Brown, the last time he appeared on Gondrezick’s feed was in August. That’s when the couple made their relationship public with a cake featuring Brown’s face. She captioned the post, “Life lately,” and the internet collectively swooned expecting more of this celebrity couple. But that seems to be a distant memory.

Is Kysre and Jaylen Brown parting ways?

If Kysre Gondrezick’s Instagram feed didn’t already have fans buzzing, her latest appearance at a basketball game added even more fuel to the fire. The Chicago Sky star made a notable courtside return, but surprisingly, it wasn’t for the Celtics or Jaylen Brown. Instead, she was seen enthusiastically supporting her brother, Grant Gondrezick II, at the University of Detroit Mercy game on Sunday.

She confirmed her attendance by posting a video on Instagram shortly after the Celtics’ game against the Orlando Magic, where Jaylen Brown showcased his talent despite the team’s loss. This post rekindled memories of their public debut as a couple at the ESPY Awards in July 2024. It was following her public support during the Celtics’ NBA championship win in June.

Despite the strong start to their relationship, sightings of the couple together have dwindled since summer. With her recent focus on family, fans are left speculating about the status of her relationship with Brown.

Well, her commitment to the family and basketball is clear. Her posts celebrating her brother’s successes and her return to training suggest she might be gearing up for a comeback in the WNBA. The status of her relationship with Brown remains a hot topic, as neither has commented publicly on it.

Actor Ali MacGraw sacrificed her own career for Steve McQueen

Ali MacGraw became a Hollywood superstar overnight. But just as quickly as she rose to fame, she disappeared from show business altogether.

Today, the 84-year-old actress has settled down in a remote and tiny town, and she’s aging gracefully with her grey hair.

    Getty Images

    Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw – born Elizabeth Alice MacGraw – was born on April 1, 1939, in Pound Ridge, New York, USA. Her mother, Frances, was an artist and worked at a school in Paris, later settling in Greenwich Village. She married Richard MacGraw, who was also an artist. In 1939, Ali was born.

Ali’s father Richard supposedly had issues from his own childhood which made him a little bit different from others.

He had survived a terrible childhood in an orphanage, running away at the age of 16 to go to sea. He would later study at an art school in Munich, Germany.

“Daddy was frightened and really, really angry. He never forgave his real parents for giving him up,” Ali explained, saying said her father’s adult life was spent “suppressing the rage that covered all his hurt.”

    Ali MacGraw – childhood

Money was short for their family, too. Frances and Richard, together with Ali and her brother, Richard Jr, had to move into a house on a Pound Ridge wilderness preserve which they shared with an elderly couple.

“There were no doors; we shared the kitchen and bathroom with them,” Ali said. “It was utter lack of privacy. It was horrible.”

Mom Francis worked with several commercial-art assignments and supported the family. At the same time, Richard had a hard time selling his paintings, and as a result became very frustrated. Ali’s brother Richard became a victim for his anger at home.

“On good days he was great, but on bad days he was horrendous,” she recalled. “Daddy would beat my brother up, badly. I was witness to it, and it was terrible.”

Ali was the daughter of artists, and she knew that she, too, wanted to go into a creative line of work as she got older. She earned a scholarship at the prep school Rosemary Hall, and in 1956, she moved to study at Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

By the age of 22, Ali MacGraw moved to New York and got her first job as an assistant editor at Harper’s Bazaar, working with photographers as an assistant.

    Fashion work in New York

Fashion editor Diana Vreeland hired Ali as, what she recalls as, a “flunkie”. Ever seen the film The Devil Wears Prada? Well, it was pretty much that.

“It was ‘Girl! Get me a pencil!’,” MacGraw recalled.

The future Hollywood celebrity worked her job as an assistant for several months. Then, about six months in, fashion photographer Melvin Sokolsky noticed her beautiful looks, and Ali MacGraw was hired as a stylist, and given a better salary. She’d end up staying in that position for six years.

“I don’t know where she got this work ethic, but Ali would come in at eight a.m., and many times I’d come back at one in the morning and she would still be doing things for the next day,” Ruth Ansel, a former art director of Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar recalls.

Ali was great as a stylist. But soon, she was asked to work in front of the cameras as a model. It didn’t take long before she was on magazine covers all over the world, even appearing in television commercials. For thing led to another, and Ali tumbled headfirst into the profession of acting.
    Ali MacGrawYoutube/MikelNavarro
She had been sketched nude by Salvador Dali a couple of years earlier. But when the surrealist artist started sucking her toes, MacGraw decided that she’d rather be an actress than a model.

    Ali MacGraw – films

Ali went straight from an unknown stylist and into the world of cinema, and boy, did she do it with a bang.

She was untutored in the art of film, which gave her acting another dimension. Her natural beauty was stunning, and the audience loved her.

Following a small role in A Lovely Way to Die (1968), she was asked to star in the 1969 film Goodbye, Columbus. It turned out to be a great call, with MacGraw receiving a Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer – Female. The following year, she got her big international breakthrough with a role that would pretty much sum up her career.

Ali MacGraw had received a script from her agent. She’d read it and wept twice because of how much she loved it. She decided she really wanted a part in it, and got herself a meeting with the film’s producer Robert Evans – who at the time was Paramount Picture’s head of production – at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. Not only did Evans think she was perfect for the part in the movie Love Story, he absolutely fell in love with her.

MacGraw – playing the role of Jenny – acted alongside Ryan O’Neal in the movie Love Story. The American romantic drama film, in which Ali played a working-class college student, became a smash hit.
    Ali MacGrawYoutube/MikelNavarro
Love Story hit the cinemas in 1970, and wow did the audience cherish it. It became the No. 1 film in the United States, and at the time, it was the sixth highest grossing movie in history in the US and Canada.

    Award-winning actress

MacGraw earned an Academy Award nomination for her role, and the film itself earned her another win and five Academy Award Nominations. She also won herself a second Golden Globe as Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.

Film producer Robert Evans not only loved her on screen, he had fallen in love with her in real life, and that love was reciprocated. In 1969, the couple tied the knot, and two years later, they welcomed their son, Josh Evans.

Ali MacGraw was the hot new star of the 1970s, but her private life and marriage with Evans would soon come to an end. Steve McQueen had visited their home to ask her to star alongside him in The Getaway, and the two Hollywood stars clicked right away.

“I looked in those blue eyes, and my knees started knocking,” MacGraw recalled. “I became obsessed.”
    Ali MacGrawYoutube/MikelNavarro
MacGraw and McQueen had an affair, and she soon left Evans to live with the actor in Malibu, along with her son Josh.

“Steve was this very original, principled guy who didn’t seem to be part of the system, and I loved that,” she said.

    Ali MacGraw – Steve McQueen

But after a while, Ali realized that Steve McQueen had his own problems. Following his father abandoning his mother, a then-14-year-old Steve was sent to a school for delinquent children. MacGraw said he never trusted women after that.

He didn’t like that she worked and had her own career. For a while, Ali stayed home to raise their sons. But her husband’s demands were something Ali simply couldn’t accept in the long run.

Not only that, but he’d explode if she even looked at another man. He also wanted her to sign a prenuptial agreement, promising not to ask for anything if they’d divorce. She abided by the agreement when they did divorce in 1978.

“I couldn’t even go to art class because Steve expected his ‘old lady’ to be there every night with dinner on the table,” she recalled.

“Steve’s idea of hot was not me. He liked blond bimbos, and they were always around.”

This was the start of a pretty dark time in MacGraw’s life. She arrived on set to shoot the 1978 film Convoy both drunk and high, which prompted her to quit drugs.

    Leaving show business

At the same time, several of her movies, such as Players (1970) and Just Tell Me What You Want (1980) flopped.

“It’s brutal for women,” MacGraw told The Guardian about returning to show business in the late 1970s.

“I don’t think there’s a woman over 40 who’s ever been conspicuously in the spotlight who doesn’t get sick of the kind of questioning the media lays on you, the fashion industry, all of it. It’s cruel.”

MacGraw had a short stint as a Hollywood superstar actress. Thereafter, she decided to start working in interior design instead, but didn’t fully give up on her show business career. She appeared in the television miniseries The Winds of War (1983) and China Rose (1985), but soon, her life would change for the worse.

Ali MacGraw simply couldn’t get any work in film, and she thought she was useless. At the same time, she didn’t feel complete unless she had a partner, describing being in love like “a drug high”.

She felt alone and desperate, and drank heavily. In 1986, she checked herself into the Betty Ford Clinic in California.

“The worst stuff happened when I drank,” she said. “I lost my judgment; I fancied other women’s husbands.”

    Family tragedies

Her son Josh Evans was 15 at the time and had a hard time watching his mother suffering. MacGraw spent 30 days in group therapy and came out a stronger person.

In 1993, another family tragedy occurred when her house in California burnt down due to a wildfire. She then decided to move from Los Angeles and settled in a town near Santa Fe, New Mexico.

“I live in a little village north of Santa Fe, New Mexico called Tesuque,” she revealed last year.

According to McGraw, her neighbors don’t see her as a former Hollywood star – instead they appreciate all the community work she’s been doing.

For example, she has been doing volunteer work at the annual International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Ali MacGraw left acting, but in 2006, she found herself once again on stage. She reunited with her Love Story co-actor Ryan O’Neal in the Broadway adaptation of the Danish film Festen.

Outside of the Broadway show, MacGraw’s been out of the spotlight the last couple of decades. She’s put her heart into work for animal rights … and produced plenty of successful yoga videos.

Speaking to the Herald-Tribune in 2019, MacGraw stated that she’s still open to new adventures and work.

“One of the lucky things for someone my age is that I’m open and curious,” MacGraw said. “There’s not just one thing I love to do and feel bereft if I can’t. But I know that I’m not happy when I’m not doing something creative.”

    Josh Evans – Ali MacGraw

Even though Ali left acting, her family still has a foot in the business. Son Josh Evans is an actor and director, and he’s made a great name for himself in Hollywood.

Also, he looks so much like his mother!

Being the child of Hollywood celebrities Robert Evans and Ali MacGraw certainly came with plenty of pressure.

But for Josh Evans, born in January of 1971, it was pretty much show business he wanted to do from the start.

The first job he ever wanted to do, however, wasn’t in the film business. He didn’t dream about working as an actor, but it was just one of those things that happened.

In 1989, Josh Evans had a small part in Dream a Little Dream (1989), but he wanted to do more. As a teenager with nothing to lose, he used to go to the manager’s office to see the breakdowns of movies being made.

Josh Evans – actor & director

That’s when he met someone he recognized in famous director Oliver Stone. He was making Born on the Fourth of July at the time, starring Tom Cruise. And Josh wanted in.

“At the time I just knew [Oliver Stone] from Platoon. He was making a movie with Tom Cruise and there was a role for the little brother. I wanted to play that part, so he got me a meeting with Oliver Stone,” Josh Evans recalls.

“When I sat with him, Oliver asked ‘Oh, you think you look like Tom Cruise?’. Now knowing him, I realize he was mocking me, but I said, ‘Yeah, I do.’ So, he said, ‘We’ll see what happens.’ Four months later, I got a call to audition and I got the part. It was very exciting and you could feel how special that movie was going to be.”

Since then, Josh has had a great career both acting and directing. He starred in the biographic film The Doors in 1991 and since, he’s been both acting and directing.

With eight films on his resume as a director, he actually had Michael Madsen starring in his 2015 film Death in the Desert. But what does he like best?

“I am definitely more comfortable on the side of the camera that does not show myself,” Josh Evans says.

“If an interesting opportunity presents itself, I am not opposed to it. I think there are other people out there who are more qualified and want it more than I do. As far as directing and telling my stories, I would do that for free, whereas acting is more of a job, but I enjoy it once I do it.”

    Josh Evans – family

Josh is a really handsome man, and the resemblance to her mother Ali MacGraw truly is great, especially in his big wonderful eyes.

In 2019, his father – Ali’s ex-husband – Robert Evans passed away. However, the family had the great memory of being together for him when he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.

Josh has been married twice. In October 2012, he married American singer and musician Roxy Saint. By then, their son Jackson was two years old – Grandma Ali MacGraw loves spending time with her wonderful family.

“He’s so wonderful,” MacGraw said about her son. “He’s my favorite human being on the planet, and he goes out with a girl I’m nuts about. Their relationship is so much about, among other things, friendship and respect.”

Jaylen Brown produced a dominant performance as the Boston Celtics blew out the Indiana Pacers 142-105 on Friday, Dec. 27. Boston had come into the game on a two-game losing streak and had lost three of their last four contests. However, the 2024 NBA Finals MVP helped halt his team’s slide with an exceptional two-way showing, reminding the world why he’s among the best forwards in the world.

Brown ended the game with 44 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. He shot 16-of-24 from the field and 6-of-11 from 3-point range. His offensive dominance was welcomed by the Celtics fan base, as they had watched him struggle in the previous two games.

Shortly after Boston had secured its latest win, the Tim Kordylewski YouTube channel uploaded a full highlight reel of Brown’s performances. The highlights included Brown’s scoring, playmaking, defense and rebounding, showcasing his dominant performance on both sides of the floor.

In addition to being the cover athlete for the standard edition, Tatum also appears on the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition alongside two-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, who is featured on the cover of the NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition.

The Hall of Fame edition features Vince Carter on its cover.

Back in July, Tatum expressed how being the game’s cover athlete fulfilled a lifelong dream.

Jayson Tatum sees Deuce as a future NBA forward

Jayson Tatum shared his vision for Deuce’s future in the NBA during a conversation with Kiyan Anthony, the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony.

At just six years old, Deuce is already sparking high hopes from his dad, who envisions him playing a role similar to Tatum’s Celtics teammate, Kristaps Porzingis.

“He’s like a stretch…He’s gonna be a stretch 4,” Tatum told Anthony. “He’s gonna be like a smaller Porzingis.”

Born just six months after Tatum was drafted in 2017, Deuce has often showcased his basketball talent, frequently joining his dad for pregame warm-ups.

Since 2017, Deuce has been a familiar face alongside the Celtics, making appearances at press conferences and key NBA events. He even encourages fans to vote for Celtics players during All-Star Games and had the honor of presenting his dad with the 2022 All-Star ring.

The father-and-son duo shared a memorable moment when the Celtics secured the NBA championship in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals. As confetti fell over TD Garden in Boston, NBA photographer Nat Butler snapped a beautiful shot of the Celtics star holding his son.

Jayson Tatum captured the first championship of his young NBA career on Monday. He would not have been able to succeed at the highest level if it weren’t for his support system pushing him to be the best.

Growing up, Tatum had far from a normal home life. When his parents gave birth to him, they were both in college. Things got even more complicated when the two split up.

Throughout his young life, Jayson Tatum always lived with his mother. However, his dad was still in the picture in a sense. For a brief time when Jayson was young, Justin Tatum moved overseas to play basketball professionally in Europe. He eventually returned to U.S. and built a relationship with his son.

When Jayson got older, his became his trainer and coach. During an interview with “People” magazine, the Boston Celtics star opened up on how this dynamic affected their relationship.

“I feel like I missed out on a father-son relationship,” he said. “Me and my dad only ever went to games or practice and to get haircuts. We didn’t go to amusement parks. We didn’t go to picnics, or fishing, or really have father-son talks because it was just all basketball.”

Jayson Tatum shares a close bond with his mother

Since he never actually lived with his father, Jayson Tatum’s mother has always been his primary caretaker. While this was likely a rocky journey for the both of them, some good did come of it. That being the two having an extremely close relationship.

During his pro day at Duke, Tatum suffered a foot injury. At the time, nobody knew how serious it was. When Tatum’s mother got the news, she quickly sprung into action, boarding a plane that night to be by her son’s side.

Jayson Tatum has never been shy about the bond he has with his mother. While speaking with ESPN back 2016, he referred to himself as the biggest mamma’s boy ever.

“She’s my best friend,” Tatum said. “I’m the biggest mama’s boy ever, and I’m proud to say it.”

Brandy Cole-Barnes has never left her son’s side and has played a role in getting him to where he is now. Tatum has cited that both of his parents showed tough love at times and always continued to push him.

Despite raising Tatum as a single mother, Cole-Barnes still managed to get herself a higher education. She attended law school, where her son would accompany her to class at times. She now works as an attorney.
