Justin Timberlake was trying to salvage his reputation when he made a big mistake.

Justin Timberlake was trying to salvage his reputation when he made a big mistake.

Seven months on from his arrest for a DWI, Justin Timberlake has been on one hell of an apology world tour.

After a brief social media hiatus after the Sag Harbor incident, Timberlake returned to Instagram to promote his tour merchandise for his Madison Square Garden shows.

“This is so important right now,” he, rather oddly, said for the announcement.

Since then, Timberlake has been performing sell-out shows for his (tour, the world tour!!) Forget Tomorrow World Tour, where he addressed the arrest directly to his fans.

On stage on June 21, 2024 in Chicago, he told concertgoers, “It’s been a tough week. I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back.”

He’s been performing all sorts of spectacular stunts across Canada, North America and Europe, with one involving a harness which happened to cup his nether region rather tightly.

Then in December, he reunited with Jimmy Fallon for a bromance Christmas carol called ‘You’ll Be There’ which they performed on The Tonight Show.

The collaboration was heavily promoted on Timberlake’s Instagram in the lead-up to the song’s release. Considering just how beloved the duo were for their iconic Saturday Night Live sketches, it’s no coincidence that the ‘Girlfriend’ singer picked 2024 to remind fans of this unproblematic friendship.

He ended 2024 by hosting a holiday decoration competition just to make it clear that he’s super wholesome.

    But wait, there’s more.

The singer has kicked off the new year by joining an initiative that encourages kids to ride bikes to school. He took a ride with Bike Bus co-founder, Sam Balto, and other bikers for a journey through Portland, Oregon.

“BIKE BUS! Thank you @coachbalto for letting me and @thetnkids join your morning ride yesterday,” he caption an Instagram Reel.

“You’re bringing joy to a lot of people out here.”

During a Portland gig, he spoke warmly about the experience.

“What you’re doing here in your local community [is] inspiring people, doing good things, inspiring young minds,” he told the Forget Tomorrow World Tour audience.

At this point, shall we just anoint thee, Saint Justin?

Well, as the pop star has truly hustled to redeem himself and fix his public image in recent months, a slightly inconveniently timed video has surfaced featuring a painfully awkward interaction between Timberlake and a group of fans.

As some people spotted the 43-year-old in a car driving parallel to them, they shouted out asking him a question.

“Wind down your window, let’s race!” asked an excitable passenger.

“You want something? You want something?” Timberlake bizarrely hammered the group, with an angry expression on his face.

Granted that Timberlake was probably just trying to mind his own business and go about his night, this rather aggressive response is still at odds with this ‘nice guy’ persona he’s been platforming since his arrest.

Whether you buy his redemption arc or not, Timberlake is set to have a busy 2025. His tour (yes, the world tour) is heading to Mexico before a bunch of dates throughout Europe will keep him busy through July.

In May, Timberlake is set to headline the 2025 BottleRock Napa Valley festival, performing alongside artists like Benson Boone, Ice Cube and Kaleo.

Back in June, Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor after being pulled over for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. The singer initially faced DWI charges after refusing a breathalyser test and performing poorly on field sobriety tests.

CNN reported that Timberlake told police that he only had one martini but his eyes appeared “bloodshot and glassy” and he had a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath.

On September 13, 2024, Timberlake accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to a lesser charge of driving while ability impaired (DWAI).

“I try to hold myself to a very high standard, for myself, and this was not that,” he said at a press conference.

“Even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car… This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”

As part of the plea deal, he was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete 25 hours of community service.

The scandal of pulling the shirt revealed Janet Jackson’s first round on film

The case of female singer Janet Jackson being torn off her shirt leading to the first round of exposure when she was performing with male singer Justin Timberlake will be re-analyzed in the documentary “Malfunction”.

This incident caused a big controversy in 2004. Now, the New York Times (USA) and two filmmakers have teamed up to make a documentary.

The crew of this film includes many members who have participated in the documentary “Framing Britney Spears” (2021) which has attracted quite much attention this year. “Framing Britney Spears” revolves around the pop star’s legal battle against the guardianship imposed on her life over the years.
The scandal of pulling the shirt reveals Janet Jackson's first round on film - 1The scandal of pulling the shirt revealed Janet Jackson’s first round on film (Photo: New York Post).

Now, the documentary “Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson” is also receiving a lot of attention, the film will deeply explore the incident that occurred during the performance of Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl (USA) in 2004.

At that time, Justin Timberlake snatched Janet Jackson’s shirt and caused the singer to be exposed on one side of her chest right on live television, in front of millions of viewers watching the show.

The documentary will reach out to people involved in the show in the past as well as cultural experts, to get multi-dimensional perspectives and opinions. Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake are not involved in this documentary.

At the Super Bowl in 2004, Janet Jackson performed her hit songs at that time such as “All for You”, “Rhythm Nation”, when performing the song “Rock Your Body” with Justin Timberlake, at the end of the song, Timberlake suddenly pulled one side of Janet Jackson’s chest, causing her to completely expose her right chest.

Although Janet Jackson was using a breast patch at that time, the scene was still very shocking and immediately became one of the biggest scandals ever on the music stage of American showbiz. The camera angle on television at that time immediately had to switch from a close-up recording of the two artists to a wide-angle panorama to reduce the level of controversy.

This is in fact a “notorious” moment that has entered American pop culture. At that time, the US Federal Communications Commission had to receive more than 540,000 complaints from viewers because of this incident.
Scandal giật áo làm lộ vòng một của Janet Jackson lên phim - 3This is in fact a “notorious” moment that has entered American pop culture (Photo: New York Post).

CBS, which produced, recorded and broadcast the program at the time, was fined $550,000 by the Federal Communications Commission for the incident, but in 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the fine was unreasonable and that CBS did not need to pay the fine.

At that time, even though she was a “victim”, Janet Jackson also suffered a lot of consequences, she not only suffered humiliation but also had to witness an image crisis while she herself did not intentionally cause the scandal.

Two years after the incident, Justin Timberlake once said: “I probably only get about 10 percent of the criticism. “I think people have been too harsh on women, I think in America, we treat people of color harshly and unfairly.”

The factor of gender discrimination and racial discrimination in this incident will also be a theme explored in the documentary.

Earlier this year, Justin Timberlake issued an apology to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson in a social media post. Timberlake apologized to Britney for the way he had treated her so harshly in public to the media and the public after the two broke up.

The documentary “Framing Britney Spears” has analyzed the consequences that Britney Spears has suffered from the men who appeared in her life, in which, Justin Timberlake – Britney’s most famous boyfriend in the most famous years has caused her a lot of suffering, Timberlake once implicitly accused Britney of being a traitor who broke up their relationship.

Timberlake’s treatment has created unnecessary public pressure on Britney. When the documentary “Framing Britney Spears” was released, Justin Timberlake apologized to his “ex” for his behavior in the past, and at the same time, he also apologized to Janet Jackson for his actions in their joint performance:

“I especially want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson because I really care and respect them, but I know how my actions didn’t do that,” Timberlake wrote on his personal account.

According to Page Six, Timberlake was arrested for drunk driving in Sag Harbor on the morning of June 18. It is worth noting that the policeman, who was very young, who made the arrest, did not recognize the identity of this famous male singer.

Police said the singer was “in a state of intoxication”, “red and dull eyes, strong breath smelling of alcoholic beverages” and “achieved poor results in all standard sobriety tests at the scene”.

America’s “Golden Boy” – Justin Timberlake is miserable because of scandal

Court documents reveal Justin Timberlake has refused to take an alcohol test three times. However, at the scene, he admitted to drinking a martini before driving. It is worth noting that the male singer tried to “beg” the police, worried that this incident would affect his tour.

This incident occurred in the context that Timberlake is facing many challenges. His latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was”, did not achieve the expected success and quickly fell off the Billboard 200 chart. Entertainment industry sources say Timberlake’s career is not what he wants it to be at the moment, in part because of his poor reputation in Hollywood.

The "golden boy" of America - Justin Timberlake is miserable because of the scandal- Photo 1.

Recent events, including a somewhat exhausting portrait of Timberlake taken at the police station, suggest that he is going through a midlife crisis. His wife, actress Jessica Biel, is reportedly upset about her husband’s recent actions.

The past year has been a difficult year for Jusstin Timberlake. His latest album did not achieve the expected success, and the performances on the “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour” tour did not attract many audiences. His role in Netflix’s horror film “Reptile” was also underrated by critics.

These difficulties are in stark contrast to what Timberlake has achieved in the past. He was a popular member of the band NSYNC and later had a successful solo career with hits such as “Senorita” and “SexyBack”.

Drunk driving arrests exacerbate the problems Timberlake is facing. Many people think that this is a consequence of his past actions, especially for Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.

The "golden boy" of America - Justin Timberlake is miserable because of the scandal- Photo 2.

Justin Timberlake’s image is somewhat tarnished by the memoir of his ex-girlfriend – Britney Spears. Photo: Page Six.

This incident also sparked rumors about Timberlake’s behavior for a long time. Besides, the relationship between him and his wife is said to be not very happy. Especially since ex-girlfriend Britney Spears mentioned him in his memoirs. An industry source said: “Maybe the bubble is about to burst and this is the pin that pops that bubble.”

The couple married in 2012 and share two sons, Silas and Phineas. They were first confirmed to be in a relationship in 2007. After a brief breakup in 2011, the couple reconciled and eventually got married. However, the recent situation has made the future of their marriage uncertain.

Timberlake was released without bail after being charged with drunk driving. His next trial is scheduled to take place on July 26. If convicted of drunk driving, Timberlake faces up to a year in prison. However, Timberlake’s lawyer said the singer could enjoy a lighter sentence of a $500 fine and a 90-day suspension of his driver’s license.

Brittany Mahomes Shares Surprising Name She and Patrick Mahomes Almost Gave Baby Golden Raye

Brittany Mahomes, who welcomed daughter Golden Raye with husband Patrick Mahomes Jan. 12, revealed which name the couple almost gave their newborn baby girl.

with the Disney frozen inspired name, Brittany, her husband decided to go

The cold never bothered Brittany Mahomes anyway.

Before welcoming daughter Golden Raye Mahomes with husband Patrick Mahomes Jan. 12—her third baby with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback—the Kansas City Current co-owner shared the Frozen-inspired name her eldest child, 3-year-old Sterling, was pushing for.

“My daughter wants me to name her Elsa,” Brittany—who also shares son Patrick “Bronze”, 2, with the NFL star—told Today.com in an interview published Jan. 16. “She was set on it for a while, but obviously we’re not doing that!”

Although the couple “went back and forth for a while” on baby Golden’s name—a continuation of their elemental naming scheme—the 29-year-old said she and Patrick, also 29, “really, really love” the one they chose in the end.

And years after they began dating, going on to tie the knot in 2022, the high school sweethearts are still good as gold.

“If I’m complaining or I’m in a bad mood, he gets it,” Brittany shared. “He’s not gonna argue with me. He’s not gonna push my buttons. He knows.”

The Super Bowl MVP also seems to know his limit when it comes to expanding his family, telling reporters at a Jan. 14 press conference, “I’m good with three for right now.”

“It’s cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how my other kids react to her,” he continued. “Having baby sissy and stuff like that—it’s been a lot of fun.”

But while another baby Mahomes isn’t currently in the cards, Patrick isn’t opposed to drafting a new play down the line.

“My goal was always three,” he went on. “So, we’ve had three. And we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”

The lawsuit comes less than a month after Blake Lively filed a complaint accusing Justin Baldoni of harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign.

Justin Baldoni is now suing Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane and Sloane’s PR firm Vision PR, Inc. over the heated situation behind the scenes of It Ends With Us.

Attorneys for the actor-director, 40, filed a $400 million lawsuit in the Southern District of New York on Thursday, Jan. 16 on behalf of Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, publicist Jennifer Abel and crisis publicist Melissa Nathan, claiming Lively, 37, took measures to gain control of the hit movie.

He’s suing on claims of civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, intentional interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage.

In a statement, Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman says: “This lawsuit is a legal action based on an overwhelming amount of untampered evidence detailing Blake Lively and her team’s duplicitous attempt to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies by disseminating grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and doctored information to the media. It is clear based on our own all out willingness to provide all complete text messages, emails, video footage and other documentary evidence that was shared between the parties in real time, that this is a battle she will not win and will certainly regret. Blake Lively was either severely misled by her team or intentionally and knowingly misrepresented the truth.”

“Let’s not forget, Ms. Lively and her team attempted to bulldoze reputations and livelihoods for heinously selfish reasons through their own dangerous manipulation of the media before even taking any actual legal action. We know the truth, and now the public does too,” the statement continues. “Justin and his team have nothing to hide, documents do not lie.”

Lively has already sued Baldoni and his associates, making claims of sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign orchestrated by Baldoni.

Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman previously indicated that they intended to sue during a Jan. 2 interview with NBC News, adding at the time, “We want the truth to be out there. We want the documents to be out there. We want people to make their determination based on receipts.”

Lively’s allegations in her Dec. 20 complaint said Baldoni’s alleged behavior while making It Ends With Us and during its promotion caused her “grief, fear, trauma and extreme anxiety.”

Baldoni’s new lawsuit comes after he sued The New York Times Dec. 31 for libel in response to its article “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine.” The suit alleges the newspaper used “‘cherry-picked’ and altered communications stripped of necessary context and deliberately spliced to mislead” in its article about Lively’s complaint.

The New York Times defended its article as “meticulously and responsibly reported.” Lively said within that story: “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.”

On March 12, 2022, Patrick and Brittany finally said “I do” after 10 years of dating during a private ceremony held in Maui, Hawaii.

“🏡 Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Dream Home: Inside the Renovation of Her Rhode Island Mansion for Their Future Together! 💖🔥”

Taylor Swift is giving her Rhode Island mansion a major facelift — in hopes that this will be her main family home with her boyfriend Travis Kelce, The Post has learned.

The “The Last Great American Dynasty” singer is sinking $1.7 million into a massive renovation of the $17 million Watch Hill estate, according to building permits and zoning certificates.

Providence Journal was the first to report on the renovation.

Swift’s seaside palace, infamous for her star-studded Fourth of July bashes, is set for a serious glow-up.

Plans include a 400-square-foot expansion that will transform part of the sprawling 11,000-square-foot home into an upgraded bedroom suite and lounge.

The overhaul doesn’t stop there — the “Cardigan” singer is also redesigning the kitchen and adding another bedroom to the main house.

Permits for the project were quietly filed in late November and early December 2024, with construction allowed through December 2025.

The building permit was officially granted on Jan. 13, records obtained by The Post show, but with a note that stated: “Work shall not proceed until the inspector has approved the various stages of construction.”

“This is going to be her main home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully raise a family one day,” the insider told The Post.

The Post has reached out to Swift’s reps for comment.

The mansion — perched on over 5 acres of manicured gardens with a massive patio, pool house and a private 700-foot stretch of beach — has long been Swift’s go-to getaway.

Swift, 34, was last seen at the estate in August 2024, unwinding with Kelce and close friends after wrapping the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

The Grammy winner skipped her traditional July 4th party this year due to tour commitments but made up for it with an intimate gathering in August.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end isn’t the only VIP to enjoy Swift’s Rhode Island retreat. NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, recently joined the couple for some seaside relaxation. In past years, Swift’s exes — Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas — have also graced the estate, alongside her famous girl squad members Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.

Also over the summer her gal pal Blake Lively celebrated her birthday at the beachfront estate.

Swift originally scooped up the eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom property in 2013 at just 23 years old, paying the full $17.75 million price tag in one swift (no pun intended) wire transfer.

Reports at the time suggested Swift’s interest in the estate was sparked by its proximity to ex-boyfriend Conor Kennedy’s family compound in nearby Newport. He’s a son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

However, she officially moved in with her father, Scott Swift, in May 2013, months after her split from Kennedy was confirmed.

  • Inside the Celtics Locker Room: Kristaps Porzingis Confronts Boston’s Harsh Reality – Shocking Mood Revealed!

Inside the Celtics Locker Room: Kristaps Porzingis Confronts Boston’s Harsh Reality – Shocking Mood Revealed!

“🔥 Inside the Celtics Locker Room: Kristaps Porzingis Confronts Boston’s Harsh Reality – Shocking Mood Revealed! 😱🏀”

“We were fine (in the first half). Once they turned it up a little bit in the second (half), we played stupid and we just gave some possessions away”. Kristaps Porzingis did not mince words in his criticism after the Celtics loss to the Thunder earlier this month. His remarks indicated the birth of a theory that the 29-year-old is unhappy with his team’s run this season.

Despite the Boston Celtics having the 3 best record this season, making attempts for a potential two-peat means the team cannot afford too many mistakes. And losing to one of the worst teams this season certainly comes under that. Therefore, Kristaps Porzingis did not hold back his criticisms, while a renowned reporter attempted to put down any rumors about a potential locker room tension.

In the aftermath of the Celtics-Raptors game, reports revealed the Latvian looked visibly frustrated. Porzingis even went out of his way to state, “I think we played with no like spirit, no personality, and just like weak performance for us, honestly. So, yeah, we just played with no personality, right now”.

Porzingis’s remarks came right after ESPN reporter Keith Smith launched a debate on X. It all began when he highlighted that the recent Celtics loss would be a “whatever” type of thing. Maybe because the team’s existing record allows them to occupy the 2 seed on the Eastern Conference chart. This led to a social media user claiming that some tension may exist in the locker room. After all, he claimed the team is leaving open lanes to the rim, coverages are falling apart, and effort, is according to him, looks “lazy”.

Smith snubbed the viewpoint by stating, “Y’all listen to too much sports radio if this is where you go.” As a barrage of other tweets started appearing, Smith took an ultimate stand by claiming that “There hasn’t been a single piece of reporting that suggests there are issues in the locker room.” Yikes!

The term ‘locker-room’ tension has been used for several NBA teams over the months, including the 76ers, the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Golden State Warriors. However, the Boston Celtics? As Keith Smith highlighted, no official reports have come out to indicate the same. Therefore, one can presume that Kristaps Porzingis is the sole vocal critic of his team.

At the same time, the Latvian would be right to do so. After all, against the Toronto Raptors, the overall efficiency rating for the Celtics squad stood at -13. Kristaps Porzingis himself had a -17 plus/minus rating. After all, despite having a field goal percentage of 63.6%, and a three-pointer percentage of 80%, the starting Center allowed 3 turnovers. On top of that, the plus/minus of Jaylen Brown and Derrick White also stood at -23 and -29, respectively.

Despite the criticism that Porzingis may hold, there remains some assurance the Celtics will not lose their seed anytime soon. Therefore, the player indicated the team should improve, but not at the cost of panicking.

Kristaps Porzingis denies any sense of panic in the Celtics locker room: “We are in a bad moment right now”

The loss against the Toronto Raptors marked the 3 game the Celtics lost over their last 5 matchups. Therefore, during the post-game Q&A session, a reporter asked Kristaps Porzingis whether this streak was developing any additional concerns amongst the squad.

After thinking for some time, the player jokingly replied, “If I was panicking…. If we were panicking, I wouldn’t tell you.” On a serious note, however, Porzingis also added: “But we are not. But we are in a bad moment right now, for sure. We have to be realistic, like looking in the mirror. Like, we are not playing the best basketball, we are not executing”.

In the end, Porzingis highlighted, “We have to be honest and look at ourselves individually”.

From Keith Smith debating with folks on X to Kristaps Porzingis highlighting his criticism, opinions differ on just where the Boston Celtics stand right now. Amidst the trouble brewing for so many NBA franchises, they are the team currently sitting in the most stable position.

Nonetheless, whether these recent incidents are a sign, that trouble may be brewing for the Celtics remains something to see in the coming months.

  • The Tragic End of NBA Legend Gus Williams: Uncovering the Heartbreaking Truth Behind His Death

The Tragic End of NBA Legend Gus Williams: Uncovering the Heartbreaking Truth Behind His Death

“💔 The Tragic End of NBA Legend Gus Williams: Uncovering the Heartbreaking Truth Behind His Death 🏀😢”

The basketball world is grieving the loss of Gus Williams. A beloved figure whose dazzling skills as a point guard helped guide the Seattle SuperSonics to their lone NBA championship in 1979. Williams passed away on Wednesday at the age of 71, nearly five years after surviving a stroke.

At the time of his passing, the former SuperSonics star was living in a care facility near Baltimore. While the exact cause of death has not been revealed, his health struggles over the years were no secret. The 2020 stroke left him needing extensive care. And his condition, as shared by his brother David Williams, worsened in his final days.

David with a sense of deep grief described his brother’s body simply breaking down in the last four days. However, he found solace in the fact that Gus was surrounded by family during his last moments, with his daughter flying in to be by his side.

Notably, the last that fans might have spotted Gus Williams in public was during his appearances in the city. In 2017, he attended the WNBA All-Star Game. And two years later, he joined the Mariners in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the SuperSonics’ historic championship win. His presence during these occasions was a reminder of his enduring legacy and connection to Seattle.

But his ailing condition did not let him continue with such rare interactions with the fans. The challenges ‘The Wizard’ faced after his stroke were, however, met with support from the Sonics Legends Fund. The fund was created to help former players like Gus Williams and Slick Watts with their medical needs. Yes, there was a time when insurance alone could not cover Williams’ medical needs.

Gus Williams, fondly known as ‘The Wizard,’ for his extraordinary blend of speed, athleticism, and scoring ability, left an indelible mark on the basketball world. Over six remarkable seasons with the Seattle SuperSonics, Williams redefined what a point guard could be. He brought a dynamic scoring approach to a position traditionally focused on playmaking.

Emerging from USC as a second-round pick, he defied expectations to become one of the era’s most outstanding guards. Although Williams began his NBA career with the Golden State Warriors and finished with the Atlanta Hawks in 1986-87, his legacy will forever be tied to Seattle. It was there that he showcased his brilliance. Subsequently earning 2 All-Star appearances and prestigious All-NBA honors—First Team in 1982 and Second Team in 1980.

His career, however, wasn’t without challenges, as in 1980, a contract dispute led him to sit out the entire season, a move that highlighted his unwavering principles. His absence was keenly felt, as the SuperSonics’ win total plunged from 56 to 34 games.

And when Gus Williams returned in 1981-82, he delivered a season Seattle fans back from the day would always remember. Averaging a career-high 23.4 points per game, he finished fifth in MVP voting and earned the league’s Comeback Player of the Year award. Thus solidifying his place as a cornerstone of the SuperSonics’ success. There is not an ounce of doubt that his death is a major loss, not just to Seattle, but to the entire basketball community.

“💍 Jon Bon Jovi Reveals Heartfelt Memory of Eloping with Dorothea in Vegas: ‘We Got It Right the First Time’ 💕🎸”

Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley will impressively celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary next Monday.

The 62-year-old Bon Jovi frontman recalled the moment he decided to elope with the 61-year-old JBJ Soul Foundation founder during a break on his band’s New Jersey Syndicate Tour in 1989.

‘We were in Los AngelesCalifornia. The band was on the road on the New Jersey tour, and if you opened up the curtains of my hotel room, there’s a big billboard of the five of us [Bon Jovi band members] staring into my window,’ Jon said in his People cover story on Wednesday.

‘My girlfriend, who was my fiancée at the time, we had a night off and I said, “I need a higher high. I got an idea let’s go to Vegas now.” And she said, “Now?” I said, “Now.” And we went and didn’t tell anybody. The taxi cab driver was our witness. And in about a month from now, it’ll be my 35th anniversary so we got it right, you know, got it right the first time.’

The couple – who originally met in 1980 while attending Sayreville War Memorial High School – proceeded to tie the knot at the Graceland Wedding Chapel, but not everyone was happy about it.

‘It shocked a lot of people — shocked about everybody: the band, management, agents, lawyers, parents, you name it,’ Bon Jovi (born John Bongiovi) recalled.

‘It’s a shame because it should have been a beautiful moment, but after we did it, people were trying to take it away, until I stood up and went, “Wait a minute, why are we living our life for anyone else?” And 35 years later, we’re still married.’

The Legendary rocker – whose 1993 hit Bed of Roses is allegedly about his infidelities on the road – admitted to The Independent on Sunday: ‘It’s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to f*** up the home life, either.’

Jon and Dorothea’s 21-year-old son Jacob ‘Jake’ Bongiovi is currently pursuing an acting career just like his famous fiancée Millie Bobby Brown.

The Bon Jovis are also proud parents of 30-year-old daughter Stephanie Bongiovi, 29-year-old son Jesse Bongiovi, and 20-year-old son Romeo Bongiovi.

Since 2006, the inseparable married couple have run the JBJ Soul Foundation, which includes three JBJ Soul Kitchens for the hungry and 1,000 units of affordable and supportive housing for the needy in 12 states.

Fans can hear more about Jon’s legendary love story in Gotham Chopra’s four-part, all-access docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, which premieres this Friday on Hulu.

The rock-doc will include Bon Jovi’s surgery to mend an atrophied vocal cord in 2022, which almost forced him into retirement.

‘Joy is something you got to work at, right? Happiness is what you make it. It’s not about seizing the day anymore. I think it’s about embracing the day. I don’t have to punch it in the face anymore, now I just give it a hug, and that’s a good place to be.’
