Patrick Mahomes had the classiest postgame message for Jalen Hurts after Super Bowl 59

There aren’t many quarterbacks who can say they know what it’s like to win and lose a Super Bowl during their careers but Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts both fall into this category. Mahomes is now 3-2 in the Super Bowl after suffering a blowout loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl 59 and Hurts is 1-1 after his Eagles took down Kansas City and ended their three-peat bid.

It was a rough night for Mahomes and the entire Chiefs team as very little went in their favor in the blowout loss. Mahomes’ numbers didn’t end up looking bad after he was able to move the ball in garbage time but before that, he had played arguably the worst game of his career.

Immediately following the 40-22 loss, Mahomes and Hurts met on the field and embraced and, even with the rough outing, Mahomes offered some classy advice for the Eagles signal-caller.

“Congratulations, man. Go enjoy it,” Mahomes told Hurts after Super Bowl 59 was officially in the books.

Patrick Mahomes offers the best possible advice to Jalen Hurts after Super Bowl loss

Mahomes knows how it feels to be on the winning side of a Super Bowl having done so three times with two of those times coming in the last three years. He knows that these moments don’t happen easily and to enjoy them while they’re happening and not take them for granted.

On the other side, Hurts also knows what it’s like to be in both shoes. His Eagles lost to Mahomes’ Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII just two years ago and he was the one having to embrace the winning quarterback after the game.

It’s not a fun situation to be in but Mahomes handled it with class and it appears that Hurts took his advice seriously. Not even 24 hours after winning the Super Bowl and being crowned MVP of the game, Hurts was seen riding rollercoasters at Disney World and living that Super Bowl winner life as one should when they accomplish this difficult feat.

Joe Mazzulla sounds off on debut of newest Celtics weapon

The Boston Celtics remain one of the best teams in the association, even though their dominance hasn’t been as convincing as it was last season. Prior to the trade deadline, the Celtics decided to make a minor roster configuration, trading Jaden Springer away to open up a spot for veteran wing Torrey Craig. On Wednesday night, Craig made his debut for Boston, although he did not play many minutes, suiting up for just nine minutes, scoring six points on 2-2 shooting from beyond the arc in a 116-103 win for the Celtics over the San Antonio Spurs.

It does look as though it’s only a matter of time before the Celtics head coach, Joe Mazzulla, gives Craig a bigger role in the rotation. As a 6’7″ wing, he can match up quite well across multiple positions, and all Mazzulla wants to give Craig is some time to marinate in the team’s system.

“He’s got an important role just because of his versatility. So, it’s going to take time for him to understand the language and the things that we do on both ends of the floor. And you can watch as much film and walk through it, but until he’s in the game, it’s going to just continue to be a conversation of how we can utilize his versatility on both ends of the floor,” Mazzulla said in his postgame presser, via ClutchPoints Celtics beat reporter Daniel Donabedian.

A team with championship aspirations such as the Celtics cannot have too many 3-and-D wing players. Craig may not play more than 20 minutes a night, or maybe even 10 during the playoffs, but the luxury of having someone with his skillset around for some added insurance is not to be taken for granted.

Only eight players are guaranteed to be in the Celtics’ playoff rotation: Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Payton Pritchard, and Sam Hauser. When the games are at their tightest, expect Mazzulla to rely on those eight alone, leaving everyone off the rotation except for some very specific matchup purposes.

Craig, however, could be someone the Celtics call upon in matchups that require them to have more defensive versatility on the perimeter, perhaps in lineups without either Porzingis or Horford.

Nonetheless, expect Craig to be in the rotation for the rest of the season, especially once rest days become more common for the likes of Tatum and Brown.

Taylor Swift fans told ‘joke is on them’ after attacking restaurant linked to NFL star

The mother of Philadelphia Eagles star CJ Gardner-Johnson has hit back at Taylor Swift fans after they flooded her restaurant with negative reviews following the Super Bowl.

Sunday (9 February) saw the Eagles claim a dominant victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at the Superdome in New Orleans. Swift was one of the many famous faces in attendance, cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.

Afterwards, CJ Gardner-Johnson hit out at Kelce by posting a picture on Instagram of him as tight end during the big game. In the caption, the Eagles safety made reference to Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, suggesting that he should have stayed with her.

The post quickly went viral with Swift fans responded by targeting The Kings Grill restaurant in Rockledge, Florida, which is owned by Gardner-Johnson’s mother, Delatron Johnson.

Swifties began posting fake negative reviews of the restaurant on Google and Yelp, prompting the comments to either be removed or disabled.

However, Johnson has since told TMZ that the joke is actually on the Taylor Swift fans as her restaurant has been closed since 25 January.

“I have friends who were sending me the screenshots,” said Johnson. “They were going, ‘Oh my god, look at this!’ And the first thing everyone said was, ‘The Swifties have attacked.’”

She continued: “Yes, we’ve seen all the reviews. The joke is really on the Swifties and everyone entertaining the reviews because Kings Grill is closed.”

Johnson said that she and Gardner-Johnson’s father, Brian, are in the process of selling Kings Grill and have purchased a different venue called Village Bier Garten in Cocoa, Florida.

Speaking of her son’s habit of trash-talking his opponents, Johnson said: “We’ve been dealing with this since he was a kid.”

“He talks the talk ’cause he can back it up,” she added. “The same thing with his mother, I talk the talk because I can back it up.”

It was not a happy night at the Super Bowl for Swift who was loudly booed by the many Eagles fans in the stadium, while US president Donald Trump was cheered.

Travis Kelce says Tom Brady’s ‘unbelievable’ roast had him ‘in tears’; Jason Kelce was left perplexed

Netflix’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” has been widely discussed since it aired live on the streaming platform Sunday.

Travis and Jason Kelce spent a few moments on the latest edition of their “New Heights” podcast reacting to the roast, with each brother having a different takeaway. Travis seemed impressed by the parts of the special he watched, saying it was “unbelievable.”

“I had been in tears the whole day just watching the clips and everything,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end noted.

Jason did not seem to be in any rush when a fan asked the Kelce brothers if they would consider getting the roast treatment themselves. Although the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center wondered why anyone would sign up for what Brady endured, he also said he was entertained.

“It was pure entertainment, and I’m really happy they did it, but I just don’t get the roasts,” Jason said. “I don’t know why people do it. Maybe I take myself too seriously. … It was star-studded. The best part about it was how many just iconic NFL and celebrities of immense stature that were there.

“Not to mention the entire Patriots dynasty showing up for Tom. That being said, I really don’t f—ing get it. I don’t get why people do roasts. I don’t get why they are a thing. Haha, yeah, my family’s ruined. It’s so funny. Everyone’s laughing. It’s great, we’re having fun. Yeah, right.’”

Everything from Brady’s previous marriage to Gisele Bündchen, to the deflategate scandal and even his failed cryptocurrency investment were up for grabs in the no-holds-barred roast. Only a “massage” joke from “roast master” Jeff Ross directed at longtime New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft seemed to get under Brady’s skin.

Travis applauded Brady for being a “good sport” throughout the majority of the three-hour event.

“I commend everybody because no one seemed to get their feelings hurt. It seems like everyone was having fun with it. But, at the same time, that s— had me rolling because of how at everybody’s neck people were going.”

While Brady’s compensation for agreeing to participate in the roast remains unclear, Jason said he would subject himself to a roast if he was offered enough money.

“I take it back. I’ll do a roast. What’d you guys pay Tom? The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is (my wife) Kylie,” Jason said. “She knows too much. … Every day I am getting roasted by Kylie.”

Travis Kelce was “rolling” with laughter while watching Tom Brady’s Netflix roast.

During the most recent episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Travis gave his thoughts on the roast that’s still a hot topic days after it aired.

“Man, that is, yeah, that was unbelievable. First off, everybody involved. Hats off. I’ve been in tears the whole like, last, like day just watching the clips and everything,” he said.

The Kansas City Chiefs star added, “I commend everybody because nobody seemed to get like, their feelings hurt. It was kind of, it just looked like everybody was having fun with it. Yeah. But at the same time, man, that s— had me rolling because of how at everybody’s neck people were going.”

Travis even commended Brady for being a good sport about the brutal jabs, saying “Tom was a good f—ing sport about it knowing that he was taking some f—ing aggressive strays, man.”

However, he stopped short of commenting on Brady’s insults about his team and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, after the retired NFL star poked fun at her and her teenage fanbase.

“Kansas City, you say your stadium is the loudest,” Brady said with a smirk, referring to Arrowhead Stadium where the Chiefs play. “It helps when all your fans are 14-year-old girls.”

“And In honor of Tay-Tay, let’s take a look at the Chiefs’ eras — terrible for 50 years, good for five,” he added.

Jason also weighed in on the roast saying he doesn’t “get” why someone would subject themselves to one.

“I don’t get why people do roast. I don’t get why they’re a thing,” he said.

But in a hypothetical situation in which he did get roasted, Jason said there’s a person very close to him who wouldn’t get a spot on roast list.

“The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is Kylie. She knows way too much,” he said, before Travis agreed that his brother “Can’t allow that. Because Kylie is gonna go up there and f—ing torch you.”

“I mean, every day I’m getting roasted by Kylie. I don’t need her to go up on stage and do that,” Jason joked.

Love Beyond the Loss: Patrick Mahomes Finds Solace in His Children After Super Bowl 2025 Defeat

In a moment that encapsulated the essence of family over football, Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes was seen sharing a heartwarming embrace with his children, Sterling and Bronze, following the Super Bowl 2025 loss. The poignant scene unfolded at 11:36 PM PST on February 09, 2025, after a game that saw the Chiefs’ championship hopes dashed by a determined opponent.

The Super Bowl 2025 was a spectacle of talent, strategy, and heart-stopping plays, but for Mahomes and the Chiefs, it ended in disappointment. Despite Mahomes’ Herculean efforts on the field, the final score did not reflect the fight and spirit he brought to the game. As the confetti fell for the victors, Mahomes faced the media, his demeanor one of gracious defeat.

Post-game, in the quiet aftermath of the fans’ cheers fading into the night, a photograph captured Mahomes in an intimate, consoling moment with his young children. Sterling, with her bright eyes and innocent smile, and Bronze, with his tiny arms around his father, offered comfort that transcended the loss. The image, quickly shared across social media platforms, resonated with fans and non-fans alike, reminding everyone of the power of family love in times of personal and professional challenges.

The reaction was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Social media users lauded the moment, with comments flooding in about the importance of family, the human side of athletes, and the lessons in resilience and love. It served as a reminder that sports, while competitive, are also about the moments that define us beyond the scoreboard.

Patrick Mahomes has become synonymous with excellence on the field, known for his arm, agility, and leadership. However, this moment with Sterling and Bronze added another layer to his public persona, showcasing him as a father first, athlete second. His journey from a young, promising talent to a Super Bowl-winning quarterback to this point of vulnerability and strength, has been one watched by millions.

This incident highlights the intersection of sports, family, and public perception. In an era where athletes are often viewed through the lens of performance and statistics, moments like these humanize them, offering a narrative of love and support that resonates universally. It also prompts a discussion on how sports figures balance their professional lives with personal ones, especially in moments of public defeat.

As the night of February 09, 2025, drew to a close, the Super Bowl might have been about who won or lost on the field, but for Patrick Mahomes, the real victory was in the arms of his children. This moment of consoling, captured in time, will likely be remembered not for the loss but for the love that was shared, teaching fans and families everywhere about the true essence of support and resilience.

Thirty-two points from Jayson Tatum. Twenty-nine from Kristaps Porzingis. A near triple-double from Derrick White. And, most importantly for the Celtics, no pre-All-Star letdown in their final game before an eight-day break.

Boston defeated the San Antonio Spurs 116-103 on Wednesday night at TD Garden — the seventh win in eight games for Joe Mazzulla’s squad.

Tatum turned in his third straight 30-point performance, adding 14 rebounds and seven assists. Porzingis registered his second-highest point total of the season, and White finished with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, offsetting the pair’s 11 collective turnovers.

The Celtics were playing without Jaylen Brown (knee) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder), who both sat out with injuries. They were missing multiple starters in each of their last three games and won all three by double digits.

Boston now is off until Thursday, Feb. 20, when it visits Philadelphia.

“You know the break is coming,” said Tatum, who will be one of three Celtics representatives at All-Star weekend along with Brown and Rising Stars participant JD Davison. “You want to go into the break feeling well and playing some good basketball, and I would say over the last 10 games or so, we’ve done that.”

San Antonio rallied in the second half, cutting a 24-point Celtics lead to eight, but Boston pulled away late. Trade-deadline pickup De’Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 23 points, with second-year superstar Victor Wembanyama adding 17 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks.

The Celtics picked their spots against the impossibly rangy Wembanyama, who entered Wednesday with 75 more blocks than any other NBA player (and got another one early on an Al Horford layup attempt). But they weren’t afraid to attack the 7-foot-3 phenom when the situation called for it.

Tatum drove straight past Wembanyama for a thunderous first-quarter dunk. One possession later, Porzingis beat the big man at the rim after a nifty triple-move post-up. The Celtics center looked pleased with himself for besting the French sensation, smiling as he jogged back up the court.

“The impact that he has on the defensive end, just with his length and his wingspan is, like, historic,” Porzingis said. “We haven’t seen this, no? … He’s just a special player. That’s maybe partially how people feel around me, but with him, it’s a different level. Special, special player.”

Porzingis went 3-for-3 from the field in the first quarter, but Tatum drove the Celtics’ scoring attack, scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting as Boston built a 37-19 lead. It was an early-game return to form for the six-time All-Star, who was quiet in the first half of Boston’s previous two games before exploding in the third quarter (19 points against New York, 20 against Miami).

Up 16-15 six minutes in, the Celtics closed the opening frame with a 21-4 run capped by three consecutive 3-pointers. Tatum scored one of those and assisted on the two others, including a Horford buzzer-beater that put Boston ahead by 18. Tatum, Horford and White all made multiple threes in the first quarter, while the Spurs shot 1-for-11 from deep as a team.

The Celtics stretched their lead to 24 in the second quarter, getting another 16 points from Tatum and Porzingis along with the first contributions of Torrey Craig’s Boston tenure.

Craig, signed last week after being waived by Chicago, made his Celtics debut Wednesday and flashed his potential as a 3-and-D wing. He hit two threes in the second quarter, assisted on another by Tatum and blocked a shot by Spurs rookie Stephon Castle across his nine minutes of action.

“It was crazy,” Craig said. “The atmosphere, the crowd, the fans. It’s just a joy to play in front of a crowd like that. And yeah, man, I’m just glad I made my debut in the Garden. I’m glad I hit my first shot.”

Durability will be an important variable for Craig, who hadn’t played since Dec. 30 because of an ankle sprain and also missed time with knee and ankle injuries last season. But if he can stay healthy, the 34-year-old should add experience and perimeter shooting ability to the back half of Boston’s bench, which has lacked both this season.

The Celtics took a 66-47 lead into halftime, with Tatum, Porzingis and White combining for more first-half points (49) than the entire Spurs roster.

Sloppiness then set in for the Celtics. Four turnovers in five minutes, coupled with a sudden cold streak, allowed San Antonio to cut its deficit to 10 points multiple times in the third quarter. Porzingis gave Boston some breathing room with a 3-pointer that halted an 8-0 Spurs run, and Payton Pritchard, Luke Kornet and Porzingis later scored at the rim on consecutive Celtics possessions, all with Wembanyama off the court.

Pritchard and Kornet combined for six offensive rebounds in the game and finished as a plus-12 and plus-10, respectively.

Tatum was on the verge of a triple-double by the end of the third quarter (28-11-7) but missed three late free throws that would have padded Boston’s lead. The Celtics entered the fourth with a 93-81 advantage, which the Spurs quickly cut to single digits.

But Boston rebuffed that rally. After two Castle free throws made it an eight-point game, Porzingis and Pritchard buried back-to-back threes. Pritchard also hit one late in the third quarter after starting 0-for-7 from deep (and going 1-for-8 against Miami on Monday). Another three by Sam Hauser, who’d missed his first five attempts, gave the Celtics a 16-point lead with 6:42 remaining.

Porzingis set up Hauser’s triple by flipping a pass over his right shoulder while being doubled by Wembanyama and Fox. The ball found Horford in the paint, who zipped it out to an open Hauser. San Antonio never recovered, and Boston was able to empty its bench in the final minutes.

After hovering just above .500 from mid-December through late January, the Celtics head into the All-Star break playing some of their best basketball of the season. The defending champions are 8-2 in their last 10 games. The lone blemishes: an ugly home loss to Dallas that Porzingis believed they “should have won” and a last-second defeat against Houston in which role player Dillon Brooks made 10 threes and Boston had multiple defensive breakdowns in the final minutes.

“We finished heading into the break really well,” Porzingis said. “I think we’re still experiencing a little bit, but not as much anymore, that people are going off against us, having career highs in threes or whatever. So I think the luck is starting to turn our way, and that’s it. We’ve just got to stay with it, and I think, as I said before, I want to speak it into existence that we’re going to peak at the right moment and we’re going to hit our stride and just look like a team that’s going to win it all again.”

The Boston Celtics cruised to a 116-103 victory Thursday night against visiting the San Antonio Spurs. Boston also welcomed in Torrey Craig, who the team signed last week.

Boston jumped out to a big lead early on, thanks in part to Jayson Tatum. The former Duke Blue Devil logged 32 points to go with 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White also made big contributions, made even more important with Jrue Holiday and Jaylen Brown sidelined by injury. For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama did what he could to keep San Antonio in the mix, but his efforts were in vain. Boston led for almost the entire game, although the Spurs fought hard in the second half to try to mount a comeback. Instead, the Celtics secured a win, improved to a 39-16 record ahead of the NBA’s All-Star break.

Taylor Swift goes empty-handed at the 2025 Grammys. Travis Kelce’s Chiefs lose at the 2025 Super Bowl

In a week that defied all expectations, two cultural powerhouses suffered unprecedented setbacks that have left fans and critics alike in a state of shock.

Taylor Swift, who was booed during Kansas City Chiefs-Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 59, next to Travis Kelce and Caesars Superdome background.

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift, long celebrated as a musical phenomenon, was met with a night of bitter disappointment. Nominated in several major categories and anticipated to be the indisputable darling of the event, Swift’s red-carpet appearance turned into a moment of stark reality as she left the ceremony empty-handed.

The absence of any award on her mantle has sent ripples through the music industry, sparking intense debates about judging criteria and leaving even her most devoted fans questioning whether this could signal a turning point in her storied career.

Meanwhile, on the gridiron at Super Bowl LIX, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by their star tight end Travis Kelce, experienced a crushing defeat. Expected to be the driving force behind a championship triumph, Kelce’s performance failed to ignite the spark his team desperately needed.

The Chiefs were dismantled on the field by the Philadelphia Eagles in a blowout loss that saw the scoreline read 40-22, leaving fans in utter disbelief and raising serious concerns about the future direction of the franchise. What was meant to be a triumphant showcase for one of the NFL’s brightest talents turned into a sobering lesson in the unpredictability of sports.

The convergence of these two seismic events has ignited a firestorm of speculation and introspection across both the entertainment and sports worlds. Critics and fans are left grappling with the stark reminder that even the most celebrated figures can face moments of extraordinary failure.

As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce retreat from the glaring spotlight to regroup, the broader cultural narrative is left to ponder: in a world where victory is never guaranteed, what comes next for those who have always seemed untouchable?

This turbulent week not only challenges the myth of perpetual success but also underscores the volatile nature of fame and athletic prowess. With the stakes higher than ever, the ripple effects of these shocks are sure to reverberate throughout the coming months, forever altering the public’s perception of two of America’s biggest icons.

Millie Bobby Brown and Jon Bon Jovi’s son, Jake Bongiovi, are living on a sprawling farm in Georgia, but it’s not for the aesthetic.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, the actress admitted that she remains mostly offline and did not choose the farm life to be a “trad wife” influencer, which is a shortened version of a “traditional wife.” Trad wives are a subculture of women who believe in clear gender roles and show other women their homemaker lifestyle on social media, which often involves living on a homestead and making food from scratch.

“I’m not doing it [farm life] for the aesthetic. I’m doing it because I love it. There are maybe some trad wives out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not. If you’re not picking up horse s— or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all,” Brown said.

Although the lifestyle is chaotic, Brown would not have it any other way.

“You think animals are peaceful. You think the South is peaceful. You think this place is peaceful. But there’s so much chaos. My animals are loud, and it’s messy and my dogs are crazy. And there is, you know, laughter and a lot of passion and excitement, and it is a very vibrant place. There is so much chaos, and that is where I thrive,” she said.

On their farm, Brown rescues dogs that are in kill shelters through her foundation, Joey’s Friends, and homes them in a barn on her property.

To take her passion even further, Brown told the outlet that she’s taking online classes in human services and veterinary studies at Purdue University.

“I’m able to treat wounds, take their pulse, moderate blood pressure, things like that. I do all their medical records myself. Adoption campaigns are wonderful temporarily, but you really have to get in there and do the work to make a difference,” she said.

After announcing their engagement in April 2023, Brown and Bongiovi tied the knot in May 2024. Brown was 20 at the time and Bongiovi was 22, which sparked a lot of controversy. Bon Jovi weighed in on his son’s marriage shortly after the young couple tied the knot.

“They are great, they are absolutely fantastic,” Bon Jovi told BBC’s “The One Show.” “It was a very small family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true.”

During her interview with Vanity Fair, the “Stranger Things” star addressed why she and Bongiovi decided to get married so early in their lives.

“We were pretty united going into it. We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want,” she said.

“It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”

Brown explained that Bongiovi showed her that “loving someone and being in love are two different things.”

“I think I loved a lot of people I was with, like I loved my friends. But he is the first man I’ve ever loved and been in love with. If we’re not fully invested, then what’s the point? We have to be, and we always have been,” she said.
