Travis Barker went to Robert Kardashian’s grave to ask for permission to marry Kourtney

Travis Barker made sure that his proposal to Kourtney Kardashian would be absolutely perfect.

In the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, fans were treated to an inside look at the loved-up couple’s romantic engagement.

Last October, Blink 182 drummer Barker popped the question to the eldest Kardashian sister in an elegant beachside proposal.

Now, Kris Jenner has revealed that as well as making the proposal itself gorgeous, Barker also went the extra mile to involve someone special to Kourtney – her late father Robert Kardashian.

Celebrity lawyer Robert Kardashian sadly passed away in 2003 after a battle with esophageal cancer. But that didn’t steer Barker away from tradition, and according to Jenner, the musician went to his grave to ask permission.

“He asked for her hand in marriage, and I was like, literally, I want to cry now,” the matriarch told one of her other daughters, Kim Kardashian, during the episode per E News.

“It was so sweet and so tender. And then he said he went to your dad’s grave and asked your dad [for permission], and I just lost it,” she added.

Jenner went on to express her joy for the couple.”It’s all happy, I just wish your dad was here to see it. I can hardly believe that it’s the first time that she’s getting married,” she said.

Kim – who divorced rapper Kanye West this year – agreed with her mom, saying: “That’s really crazy that she hasn’t been married before. While I’ve had enough for all of us!”

Before her romance with Barker, Kourtney was in an on-off relationship with Scott Disick for the best part of 10 years. The pair eventually split for good in 2015, but they continue to co-parent their three children: Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7.

Since Kourtney’s engagement last year, fans have been keeping their ears to the ground for further details of the wedding. The couple gave everyone a shock earlier this month when they released snaps of themselves goofing around in a Las Vegas chapel, leading many people to speculate that they had eloped.

But the reality star put fears to rest in an Instagram post where she let fans know that their Vegas wedding had taken place without a marriage license – and was just their way of practicing for the real thing.
