Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics Gets Robbed
Jaylen Brown is the most recent athlete to fall victim to a series of high-profile thefts. Investigations are underway into a break-in at the mother’s home of Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown. On Sunday, Wellesley, Massachusetts police discovered a damaged window at her residence.
They are currently looking for the culprit. Police reported that although the glass was smashed, there was no disturbance inside the house. Nothing from the house seemed to have been taken. At the moment, Brown was not there, but his mother and nephew were.
At the time, the Washington Wizards were facing the Celtics in Washington, DC. On Thursday morning, Wellesley police released a statement on the event.

Amile Jefferson, the assistant coach with the Celtics, also reported that their house was broken into on Sunday, according to WBTS. Jaylen Brown is the latest athlete to fall victim to high-profile break-ins, joining Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce. This might all be a coincidence or a string of related thefts.
Players have received warnings about the break-ins from the NFL and the NBA. According to the NBA, the crimes were committed by “transnational South American theft groups.”
Following the incident, Brown was excused from practice on Tuesday; however, he has since returned and is scheduled to play this weekend against the Chicago Bulls. Regarding the break-in and his absence from practice, the Celtics released a statement on Thursday.
