Rock stars in solidarity: at Jon Bon Jovi’s newly opened restaurant in New Jersey, the poor will eat and not pay.

In the “Soul Kitchen” restaurant, inaugurated by the singer and his wife, Dorothea, in Toms River, on the Atlantic coast destroyed four years ago by Hurricane “Sandy”, the poor will eat and then wash the dishes.

“Because everyone has to eat in a restaurant, especially in a society where one in five families lives in poverty,” declared Jon Bon Jovi, who has sold 120 million albums so far.

The bar is part of the humanitarian plan that Jon and Dorothea support with the “Jon Bon Jovi Soul” foundation.

“All the poor get the same meal,” explains Dorothea.

“There’s no need for science on this,” says the “Livin’ On A Prayer” and “You Give Love A Bad Name” singer.

The singer’s foundation has also built 500 houses and 10 dormitories for thousands of poor people.
