Taylor Swift’s blockbuster legal action against Kanye after shocking smear about star and two A-list men… as insiders say Travis wants to confront West ‘man to man’
Taylor Swift has filed a cease and desist order against Kanye West after the erratic, deeply troubled rapper posted a series of messages about the pop star and two of the most famous men in entertainment.
In an hours-long rant, West, 47, claimed – without evidence – that Swift, 35, was with both Justin Bieber, 31, and Harry Styles, 31, at the same time – and described the alleged encounter in disturbingly graphic terms.
Now, a source tells the Daily Mail that West’s behaviour has crossed a legal red line, “He’s gone too far this time. His statements are not only false, they’re defamatory.”
“This isn’t just gossip about [West]. This is [West] a woman, defaming her and intending to harm her and her career.”
The insider said Swift felt she had ‘no choice’ but to issue a cease and desist order, which is a formal written notice demanding the recipient immediately stop an allegedly illegal activity. It often acts as a final warning before more serious legal action is taken.
Sources close to NFL star Travis Kelce, 35, Swift’s boyfriend, said he was outraged – and Kelce, the source said, suggested he wanted to physically confront West ‘man on man’.
The Daily Mail was also told that Kelce was frustrated by the fact that the public response to West’s tweet would only “bring more attention to the lies”.
“Taylor is clearly upset, and Travis is clearly supporting her,” the source said. “There have to be consequences. West would never dare say this to her face.”

Sources close to Styles say he is furious at West’s latest stunt. Those in Style’s camp were quick to issue clear denials and offer their support for Swift.
“Harry has no contact with Taylor and hasn’t in years. But if he was asked to confirm that this was a lie, he would happily do so.”
“He finds Ye’s words incredibly disrespectful,” the source said. “Putting Harry in there was unnecessary. This never happened and Harry would have supported whatever was needed.”
A source close to Justin Bieber said West’s claims were “100% untrue.”
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Swift and West, both of whom declined to comment for this story.
Indeed, the ugly episode is just the latest in a long line of disturbing incidents caused by West and directed at Swift.
West humiliated Swift on stage at MTV in 2009, when Swift was just 19. He interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, grabbed the microphone from her, and told shocked onlookers that the award should have gone to Beyonce.
Then, in 2016, West rapped in his song Famous, “Why? I made that motherfucker famous.”
Swift responded with a statement denouncing the song’s ‘strong misogynistic message’, although West alleged that Swift gave him permission to use those lyrics – a claim Swift denies.
Unapologetic, West took it a step further in the video for Famous, which featured a lifelike wax figure of a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Swift.

A source close to Justin Bieber said West’s claims were “100% untrue”.
At the time, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Swift felt like she had been ‘assaulted’ when she watched the video.
A few months later, Kim Kardashian, 44, who was then married to West, shared phone calls between West and Swift that appeared to show Swift telling Kanye that the lyrics were acceptable.
But four years later, in 2020, a longer 25-minute video surfaced online that cleared Swift’s name and revealed that West had never told her he would call her a ‘bitch’.
After that, the drama seemed to die down.
“Everyone believed that this whole saga was finally over,” a source told the Daily Mail. “[Swift] kept her distance and kept quiet whenever West came up to her or said something negative about her.”
But West’s apparent obsession with Swift resurfaced on Monday, when he tweeted — then deleted — an allegation that Swift was responsible for the fact that he was never invited by the NFL to perform at a Super Bowl halftime show.
Swift did not respond, but after West’s latest rant, sources say she realized that staying silent may no longer be a viable option.
Certainly, West’s behavior has become more extreme in recent years.
In his latest social media rant on Wednesday, he also took aim at his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, making vulgar references to her.
However, his latest outburst aimed at Taylor Swift may prove a miscalculation. She is no longer the 19-year-old he shamed on stage at the VMAs.
She’s one of the best-selling artists of all time, with an army of fans to defend her and an NFL player by her side.
