Whether it’s from his music or his tributes to his wife, it’s safe to say Jon Bon Jovi is quite a romantic. In fact, he’s making us swoon with the sweet gesture he made to his wife Dorothea Hurley on their latest anniversary.

On Instagram, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer shared a stunning bouquet of long-stemmed red roses. “36 roses for 36 amazing years,” he wrote in the caption. “Happy anniversary, my love….”

In the second picture, the singer shared a picture from their impromptu Las Vegas wedding in 1989. In the pic, Jovi, who’s rocking a quintessential ’80s wolf cut, is rocking a bright blue suit with a white tank top underneath. Hurley, on the other hand, is wearing a strapless midi wedding gown with matching lace gloves.

In the third picture, Jovi shared the sign outside the wedding chapel they got married in. “Rock star Jon Bon Jovi was married here,” the sign says.

“Congrats for both and for the love!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️” wrote one fan in the comments. “Happy Everything you guys! ❤️” echoed another.

Almost a year ago, Jovi opened up about their elopement in an interview with People.

“We were in Los Angeles, California, the band was on the road on the New Jersey tour, and if you opened up the curtains of my hotel room, there’s a big billboard of the five of us [Bon Jovi band members] staring into my window,” Bon Jovi remembered. “My girlfriend, who was my fiancée at the time, we had a night off, and I said, ‘I need a higher high — I got an idea. Let’s go to Vegas now.’ And she said, ‘Now?’ I said, ‘Now.’”

A few moments later, they were walking down the aisle and saying “I do” in good ol’ Sin City.

“It shocked a lot of people — shocked about everybody: the band, management, agents, lawyers, parents, you name it,” Bon Jovi said of their decision. “It’s a shame because it should have been a beautiful moment, but after we did it, people were trying to take it away, until I stood up and went, ‘Wait a minute, why are we living our life for anyone else?’”

“And 35 years later, we’re still married,” he said. Now it’s 36! Congratulations to the happy couple!
